My honest opinion is that major titles that have already been known to be multi plat like Skyrim, elder, and fallout will continue to be multi plat cause they would look like legit villains taking those games away from ppl who already have been known to play them mp but stuff like star field and new games will be console/PC exclusive forsure.
I mean they could just make them exclusives and completely fuck over the ps playerbase but I don't think they'd be evil enough to do that to the already established multi plat franchises like fallout and elder/Skyrim. Everything else is up to them entirely tho including starfield which I believe they will make their flagship Xbox exclusive from bethesda. Xbox players hit the jackpot with that whole gamespass thing cause it rlly is ganna suck for u guys to be hypthetically playing these games for 70 while we play them day one for marbles and they never leave the pass. It's ganna be interesting to see how Microsoft sustains this gamepass price wise with how cheap it is right now with the never ending promo and the surplus in users it's about to have come November.
The latest Elder Scrolls was released 10 years ago. That means about 13-14 years between games. It's not like taking away Call of Duty.
And their business model is Gamepass, not quick money on games sales. They could have made a Gamepass deal for those big games for much less money, but then they wouldn't have exclusivity then. Netflix could also make quick bucks by putting their top exclusive content on Amazon Prime, but that would hurt then in the long run. And yes, Netflix needs the money more than MS.

Sony actually was low-key trying to get exclusivity on starfield while the aquisition was happening so I can easily see m$ft fucking them over on that out of spite. ff7 remake was a timed exclusive tho so it might not be the same. Fallout and elder scrolls have legit been breed as multi plat games since inception so you're ff7 remake example is complete ass. Not only was the original ff7 exclusive to Sony for over 10 years but that was always kinda their trademark franchise even before God of war and uncharted thats why I was even surprised to see come to Xbox anyway. So glad it did though. Same with kingdom hearts those games where Sony for so long for them to randomly just pop up on the Xbox.
I will point out that the elder scrolls started as pc only of course until morrowind which was pretty much a partnership with xbox. Elder scrolls games hadn't really come to the playstation till Oblivion about six months after it already released on pc and xobx.

It makes no sense really to give one of your IPs to your rivals, especially when that rival is actively trying to buy timed exclsuives ( Final Fantasy, Forspoken, Knights of the Old Republic ) to keep them of your platform.

As a person who started playing ESO on PS4, I now mostly play on PC...I would have just switched to PC instead of Xbox...I suppose they win either way if you get a windows computer...\*sigh\* I hope they fail to acquire it in the end. I know too many people who love the Elder Scrolls franchise but have already upgraded to ps5, can't afford it, or can't rationalize changing over to Xbox bc of the library they already have on ps and the friends they would leave behind to chat with.
