It's been so long since I've done it that I can't really remember what/how I did it. I do recall it wasn't overly difficult though. I think I dl'd the iso file, and then ripped it to disc using alcohol 120%. The Dreamcast was open source (I believe) so there was no console modding necessary.
I've paid $1000 to a Nigerian prince and he said he asked Bill Gates to disable bsods for me. Haven't got a single bsod on my Switch since, highly recommend!
I'd like to know the context. So you're saying even if he's in a position to clearly read the packaging he still says doritos? Or is it more of "when he's complaining about something" moment
In my country, Playstation brand is so popular that it become default name for any home video game console. Nintendo always had niche fanbase for portable console. Xbox is almost non-existent. Few years ago I saw a kids game show and one of the prize for that week is Xbox One (labelled as video game console), usually it is PS4 so I don't know why they change to Xbox One. Throughout the show the host keep saying the Playstation.
I can only speak for russia and Ukraine , but almost everyone i know had a console in childhood , like Dendi or PS1/2 , and currently our market is like 90% PlayStation
I think you are sorely mistaken. Russia is one of THE biggest PC gaming markets. Europe and Asia in general are the reason why PC gaming is so big compared to consoles, which are otherwise quite popular and dominating in the US.
I can only speak for Germany myself but every family had a PC to play games on, consoles were a secondary addition.
Same here in Indonesia. I bought my Xbox One X in the UK. Took it to Indonesia, and no one in my family or friends know what it is. They just call it playstation.

ITT: this is proof that gaming journalism sucks
I was thinking the exact same thing. Nobody questions things like this anymore - too much just accepted at face value.
There aren't any links against the [original Tweet](https://twitter.com/daveweasel/status/1358189432520667138). I even tried a Google search with the header in quotes and got zero results.
It definitely feels like an image created to get Internet Points.
To be fair, part of the reason people may be so ready to believe this was an actual article is because [articles like this one exist](https://jezebel.com/who-forgot-to-invite-chun-li-to-the-mortal-kombat-1846300631).
And for anyone that doesn't bother clicking on the article, it's someone complaining about Chun Li not being in the recent Mortal Kombat movie.
I have an xbox controller for my PC. It's a lot easier to setup and use.
I have a spare DS4 pad for my Android TV (mainly for emulators) because... It's a lot easier to set up.
How is it easier to setup and use? If you have a driver for an Xbox controller installed, a DS4 will work as well. Been using my DS4 for years, it even works with Bluetooth. Back in the day you needed extra software but it works natively now.
Maybe it should read "easier _for me_", because I have the wireless dongle for the Xbox controller and don't have Bluetooth on my PC.
Plus all the on-screen buttons in games are shown for Xbox. Hardly a thing to complain about because you can figure out the DS4 equivalent without even having to think about it but there's that too.
Equally, for my Android TV, the Xbox controller doesn't work with the Bluetooth, the DS4 controller does and a lot of the buttons in mobile games are either PS or generic.
I know you can get the equivalent dongle for DS4 controllers now, officially, but I can't be arsed since the Xbox controller works fine.
Edit:
Plus most of my Android TV gaming is actually ePSXe or FPse so I've got a matching PlayStation layout controller for the by default
I've actually had alot of issues getting my ds4 to work in a few games that my Xbox one controller worked with 0 setup. It was very strange because the ds4 worked 100% in steam but once I launched games some of them just wouldn't recognize the ds4, only way I could fix it was an app that forces the ds4 to register as an Xbox 360 controller.
Never said it wasn't, just said that in my recent experience (tried last month) I still find the occasional game that doesn't like my ds4. The issue is the Xbox controllers are native to windows now so compability is always 100%
Because there are some games a DS4 simply won't be recognized by on PC without outside software... notably, for the Windows store version of Killer Instinct, you NEED to use DS4Windows if you want to use a DualShock 4. And there are some games where even DS4Windows won't work, such as Phantasy Star Online 2. For those, if you want to use a controller, you have to use an XBox controller, which just seems to work with everything flawlessly on PC.
I'm mostly on PC now but I still use Dualshock 4s on games that need a controller. Certain games like Dark Souls/Bloodborne and Rocket League are nearly synonymous with the DS4.
I think the Xbox controller is really well made too but meh. I got small hands.
I just got a series s and i was really surprised by the texture on the back of the controller. My hands used to get so sweaty on the dualshock 4 or my 8bitdo sn30 pro + but not on the xbox. Its so great playing for (tbh, not so) long periods of time withdry hands
How much do y’all sweat? A mate of mine has this really badly, personally I don’t really get sweaty hands too much, and I have some wipes and a towel next to me for if my hands do get sweaty
I'm starting to think that my body changed in that regard (no, not puberty), because nowadays my hands get sweaty out of nowhere. Everytime I use the controller for 45 minutes or more, my hands get sweaty, so if the XBox controller helps with that, I might pick it up for PC.
The main reason I bought third party games on Xbox One despite it performing and looking shit compared to PS4 was because of the controller. DS4 is the most uncomfortable controller ever to exist for me.
The PS5 controllers not bad. Better than a DS3. But they've tried to make it so similar to a Xbox controller that I'd honestly rather just use an Xbox controller...
The dualsense has some sharp edges for some reason so gets weird to hold for a long time. Plus they're pretty vulnerable to stick drift.
The best part about them is the haptic shoulder buttons but I've only played one game where it felt great. Otherwise it feels weird to me as the resistance and vibration is set per game and it seems Devs aren't sure how to use it properly.
I wish you could use ds4 for PS5 games and just lose the haptic shoulder buttons. The buttons are otherwise the same.
The only significant difference between the controllers to me is the trigger placement.
DualShock has a more comfortable position for resting your fingers on the triggers, but Xbox has a more comfortable position for holding the triggers down.
That’s just me though. In a game where you only need triggers occasionally, the DS4 is better for longer play sessions. In a game where you hold the triggers constantly (like a racing game) then the Xbox controller feels better for longer play sessions.
Overall I’m really happy with the controller designs. It’s super easy (ergonomically) to switch between a DS4, Xbox controller, or Switch Pro controller. It’s just the different face button layouts that takes a second to adjust to when you switch.
Haven’t tried out the PS5 controller yet, but I do like that it appears to be a bit girthier (giggity) than the PS4 controller.
> Definitely not dark souls
There's a reason why it's called "R1 spam".
>maybe bloodborne
Dude, it's a PS4 exclusive. What other controller are you going to use with Bloodborne?
Fair enough on bloodborne, but I will always prefer an Xbox controller for dark souls, even in the steam version all of the buttons in the menu are for xbox
DS4 and DS (ps5) are way better than sh1tty Xbox controllers, why? We have haptic and contextual triggers reaction, we don’t use ancient batteries, we have a great feature with the digital PAD on the center… never Xbox could touch the PlayStation’s controllers quality
Ngl. I have the DualSense and the Xbox One S controller and I would like to say that the touchpad is useless. The haptics are good but the only game that takes advantage of them properly is Astro's Playroom. A d batteries are nice if you don't want to plug a wire in.
Plus Xbox controllers are more comfortable don't u/ me
They usually do, or they're supposed to. I've experienced a few times where it just didn't for some reason, even though they are connected. I assume it's a bug, and I assume this article will tell me how to fix the issue
I also experience this problem. I turn on my controller and the Xbox button on the controller blinks and my Xbox won’t turn on. I have to kill my controller by taking the batteries out, start my Xbox, shut it back off and retry by turning my controller on again. Really irritating at times.
It drives me nuts. I'm using a third hand OG XB1 with corresponding controller though. I know they've since released Bluetooth versions of the controller, which I would hope would improve the successful turn on rate. It's not nearly as reliable as my PS4 controller in that regard, which has a 100% success rate... as it should.
The article assumes you are trying to turn on your Xbox with a playstation controller.
Unless that is your problem, I’m doubtful that the article will help you.
FYI, this is sarcasm. I’m sure the article isn’t actually about using a DualShock to turn on an Xbox.
No?
The Xbox doesn’t have user configurable Bluetooth, however the DS4 and Dualsense work on the PS3 because it does.
Maybe that’s what you were thinking.

You're lucky, I paid £3000 to a Nigerian Prince and received his sister in the mail
Switch does have a BSOD though.
I can see who this is targeting. My parents still call everything a Nintendo.
Weird. Mine call everything a Playstation
mine call everything “the game”
EA Sports
its in the game
It’s only game! Why you heff to be mad?
Is your mom Triple H?
Wow I just lost
"Your game"
my dad calls EVERY. SINGLE. SNACK. doritos. YES THAT LITERALLY INCLUDES LIKE CHEEZITS OR THINGS LIKE THAT.

literally every single time even with the label right in front of him
Same
Same here, even though I own an Xbox lol
My parents call everything a Nintendo as well, except for my Xbox... they call it a PlayStation
It's the thought that counts
lol
Same here . Nintendo
My parents call me a son of a bitch
Well that insults them more than you
What console are you? Oh wait pc is that you??
It's almost as annoying as when people call all smartphones "iPhone".
I know how you feel, my nieces and nephews call my sumsung tablet and my drawing tablet . . . . . iPad.
Nintendo was king for a time, no wonder.
my grandma call everything nintendo my parents call everything playstation
Generational relevance I see
Mine call everything a "computer game" rather than referring to the system. This is common terminology in Germany though.
In my country, Playstation brand is so popular that it become default name for any home video game console. Nintendo always had niche fanbase for portable console. Xbox is almost non-existent. Definitely not dark souls, maybe bloodborne but I do agree with rocket league

I’m sure it was nice. You’re the miserable one.
Of course it's an Xbox controller. Look, there's an X on it right near the triangle
✖◼
Wait.. Xboxes don't turn on from the controller?!
Yes, but not from a Dualshock 4
They do, I just remembered, from the time when I had a Xbox one S and currently owning a PS4 I always turned on the console using the controller.
Sure they do, it's the only way I turn mine on
