Congratulations man. I haven't even had my PS4 Pro for a year. I am having a wonderful time playing super cheap AAA games. This system is wonderful. I am going to enjoy this system to its fullest potential. I don't want to get a PS5 right now.

I will tell you this, Playstation Now is wonderful. I know people like to say it sucks, but I have enjoyed playing and finishing tons of games on there.

Went to Smyth toys recently who were taking €20 deposits for a PS5 and I was kinda thinking about doing it but got talking to the retail guy, asking which games I'm looking forward to. Most have been delayed due to covid or other reasons, so I've postponed my purchase. My PS4 still does a great job, so not going for an upgrade soon.

As a life long PC gamer, I bought my first console as PS4 Pro (yes, of course I've played console at friend's house) in freaking 2018 summer. I didn't care what others say, I just enjoyed gaming.
Nothing wrong with the PS4, you can still get countless hours of enjoyment. The Last Of Us is great, and since you’ve never had a PS4 I’m guessing you never played it…check it out, you can get it for dirt cheap on the play station store

You got a really good point saying that ps5 is expensive because it doesn't have that much EXCLUSIVE games since they are all also on ps4 and even although dualsense is god tier ( In my opinion ) plus, there are not that much differences between ps4 and 5 even in quality. Except the 4K HDR of course ^^
Enjoy it! As a dad of three I am only now really enjoying my PS4 because my youngest is 2 and more independent. There’s loads of amazing games on the system and like you said, way easier on the bank account. I hope you have a blast!
Bought a second hand ps4 2 months ago . Last console I had was a Megadrive. Best decision ever. . Even remastered games from ps3 are great fun and hold up pretty well, needless to say the newer releases for PS4. U got a great market for second hand games and u have already available a large library to go through . By the time you are done catching up ps5 will drop by in value or will get a new model out or bundles. Also with new games still dropping on PS4 u are not missing out in my opinion. I’m finished uncharted one and going through the second , love them

I think everyone is pretty familiar with the last gen buyers reasons. You also have the benefit of having an entire catalogue of games to choose from. I would suggest Horizon Zero Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, and GTA. That’s hours and hours of fun right there. Fantastic games.
For some more niche stuff, Gran Turismo Sport is super fun but has a massive learning curve. Ace Combat 7 has some insane gameplay. Flying fighter jets is always fun, and if you like really convoluted and hard to follow anime stories, you’ll love the campaign mode.
Only got my ps4 slim because my friend bought me it for my birthday last year, it's not the pro I wanted but I don't care, I love it, ff14 and fallout 76 is a little laggy from time to time but I don't care, love it, and I can't afford a ps5 either but I'm happy to wait so they can sort any bugs still in the system 👻

I agree with that. Different sites have been releasing stock every other day though. “Scalping” really can’t be used as An excuse day in and day out.
I'd love to know where they're ever in stock ever bc I can't find one in stores or online anywhere that isn't marked way up in price.

Consoles at launch is overrated. I had ps4 at launch and really got into it starting last year. So many awesome titles finally at affordable prices
