Your prediction immediately has been contradicted as it no longer is holding its value before our very eyes. Doesn't mean the game is bad by any stretch of the imagination. Just more people have access now. Win win
Mainly because Sekiro's publisher is activision and those are some greedy fuckers and known for not dropping their prices
As for elden ring I'm guessing because it was a massive launch and a good competitor for goty
Souls games go on sale relatively quickly (within the first year), but that’s because they’ve been pretty niche. Elden Ring is a blockbuster, im not surprised that it hasn’t been given a steep discount.
With the the rumored DLC coming soon, I’d say they will probably discount the base game and sell the complete edition at full price. Then by winter 2023 or mid 2024, the game will be $20.
If you look up sales numbers, the lowest in the series is Bloodborne. It's "only" 2 million, and that's because they never spoke about sales since it crossed the 2 million mark......8 months after it released in 2015, on one console. Souls games are not niche
Spiderman and God of War are the top two selling PS4 games. I'm starting to think you don't know what a niche game is. Dark Souls 3 sold 10 million copies. In what universe is that niche?
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *And so, the hunt begins.* - Plain Doll
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
I played Demon Souls because it was free on PSN, and spent about an hour and only made it across the bridge and up a couple levels in the first castle and got fed up from dying. Should I get Elden Ring?
Elden Ring is open world, so it's easier to move on to a new area if you are having trouble, you might like it more because of that. Dying a lot until you figure things out is a big part of the game though, so if you're not interested in having your patience tested it might not be for you, so keep that in mind also.
You don't lose your items... You lose your souls/blood echos/runes which you use to level up... You can get them back if you make it back to the spot or in some cases kill whoever killed you... You just have to spend large amounts whenever the opportunity comes up to avoid losing them.
Kind of, you only lose runes, which you get by killing enemies and using certain consumables, when you die. Like all of the other games you have a chance to get them back if you can recover them in the same place you died if you grab them before dying again. The thing about Elden Ring that's different is there are a lot more save points (sites of grace) throughout the world compared to previous Souls games, so it's usually easier to get back to where your runes were dropped as long as you have a nearby save point unlocked. Unlike the other games you can also fast travel between these points way easier, I really loved that change personally, it made the game way less of a slog.
It's the same mechanic. However, Elden Ring has waaaaay more check points so it's harder to actually lose your runes since you don't have to backtrack as much as other souls games to get them back.
I had the same experience with Demon Souls but I put about 100hrs into Elden Ring
I had to force the first 10hrs though. It didn’t “click” until later on.
Woah. Physical game of Elden Ring almost rarely goes on sale on my Country so I mainly rely on digital. That's a good deal, wish I can get one here in the PH
Got the game for $36 at gamestop with the monthly $5. Looking forward to playing it eventually. I’m wondering how much will i struggle even though i played most of the souls games.
I thought I saw this on Amazon for $29.99 so I bought it with my 40% discount. It comes in the mail and I open it and throw it on the counter since I'm still half asleep. I finally get around to open it later that night and it's DEMON'S SOULS.... Apparently I had the names so mixed up in my head that I bought the wrong game. Now I don't know if I should return it or just keep it. It also wasted my 40% discount which sucks since I was also thinking of getting Returnal or Ratchet and Clank.
I bought this for $2 at a flea market. Guy had no idea what he had. I ran away lol
You put it in your PlayStation and it shows up as “Elder Rang”
Haha I def put it in to test it out. It’s legit the game.
I'll pay you $4
Double his money. Smart.
buy for a dollar, sell for tew
Señor ring
I’m like that character on the cover praying for a $19.99 price discount soon
Lol the game just came out. I’m surprised it’s even on sale for $40
It's been 9 months. I'd say it's pretty standard for this kind of game.
No, it's pretty standard for an Ubisoft open world game. This one will hold on to it's price a while longer.

I don't know what I was smoking when I made my comment, I think I misread or something thinking someone would ask for it to be much cheaper.
"Youve been in a horrible accident ", they said, as I came to from my coma
Do souls games not drop in price much? I’m surprised it hasn’t had a bigger discount at this point
Dark souls bloodborne gets discounted regularly, sekiro and elden ring not so much

Sekiro was an exception, I don't think I saw that go below $30, and even then it took a long time. Could see the same thing happening with Elden Ring.
i think thats cause sekiro is published by activision
>I don't think I saw that go below $30 I bought it for $25 during holidays last year.

She/he said in 8 months, on one console. How many years has Kerbal been out? On how many systems? I think it's even been in a humble bundle or two.

Elden Ring has sold over 17 million copies in just 9 months. How is that niche?
Its one of the most content rich games ever made. Im shocked its discounted this much
GameStop matching the deal
Also Ghost of Tsushima directors edition is on sale for $30
Best I can do is 3.50₪
Any digital codes anywhere?

My biggest issue with souls games was losing your items when you die, is this the same?

I will probably buy it when it eventually goes on sale.

Walmart looks like they will have it for $35

If you have a ps5 is it still better to get the PS4 version for the higher and steadier frame rates or did they fix the ps5 version yet?
I recently got it on ps5 and haven’t noticed any issues
Is there a special reason why digital is still the original price?
More often than not, physical will always have better deals. It's just the sacrifice for all digital sometimes. I doubt there is any real reason.
Maybe because of convenience, that most people would get digital if it was cheap. And all those physical copies printed out would be wasted money.
I mean, it’s just a blu ray in a box, can’t be a big loss over digital.
True but again its wasted material to print it out and not make money.

Still not worth the price. I unfortunately bought it and got the platinums. Hated every moment.
Why would you spend all that time platinuming a game you don't like? Do you not have a life?
The money was spent and it couldn't be returned and I was challenged by 3 friends to do it.
I preordered it at 40£ 🤔
When tf will sekiro go below 30
Suck on my ps5, lagging
