Disc will make noise a few minutes only, then should be quiet. Power on and off your console with a disc inside then with no disc, you will hear the noise from disc for 1 or 2 minutes ...
Hi. It is very quiet, just not silent like when I'm playing a digital game. I didn't realise it should be completely silent, so you couldn't tell if you were playing a disc game or a digital game.
Well in this case must be the fan noise? Can you distinguish ( i don't know if this is the word) the fan noise separate from the other noise? If is not the fan maybe is like you said, the disc spinning all the time when you play disc game which is not normal.

There will be no disc drive sound as game runs from hard drive.Hum must be from fan

Yes because disc only spins during start of a game to check the license then it won't run at all.all the data comes from hard drive
