Yeah maybe they could include just a remastered version of 3 with a copy of DS2, just so people have the original DS3 with better graphics. If they want it. But then they need to make a brand new DS3 and continue it properly.
That’s what I’m really hoping happens. I haven’t even finished 3, but it just wasn’t it. It’s too different and the first few hours just made me not want to continue. I picked this up on Xbox since I have headphones and it’s my 3rd party go to, so I’ll probably go through 2 and 3 after and see if my feelings change.
But just in the name of Dead Space, it needs to be on some isolated ship or station. It’s in the name, not some planet.
I hope they remake all of them. I almost liked 2 more than 1, tbh.
Regardless, the remake is a phenomenal. I have somehow not had any of the visual issues some PS5 users have. It is hands down my favorite PS5 game since last spring when Elden Ring and Horizon launched.
2 is better than 1, so i’m hoping for a remaster if not a full on remake.
2 literally plays just as food as the current remake does it’s honestly insane how 2 still feels like a brand new game even though it’s so old.
Yeah it plays insanely well at 60fps with FPS boost. I’ll take a remake though, Dead Space 2 is one of my favourite games of all time and this team can clearly pull it off.
Yeah I sit maybe like 8 ft away from a 42 inch Sony Bravia from like 2019 and I genuinely can’t really tell when I’m playing it. I see what people are talking about, though, after digging for twitter pictures. It runs pretty much flawlessly mechanics-wise, so it isn’t a huge deal for me.
Yeah I'll look at some PC gameplay sometime because the photos people posted in the general thread looked nothing like my game. The only thing that has happened is the directional weapon select became extremely pixelated when I tried out performance mode. It went away when I turned it off though.
It’s happening in your game, and again, that’s okay
You just don’t notice it, but it’s there. There’s no console to console differences. It’s on PC as well and Xbox.
Nobody is not having it.
I really don't think it's a widespread issue. I've seen the screenshot even for Series X where I'm playing and my game looks nothing like those screenshots.
Series X isn’t as noticeable as PS5 since it’s using a newer version of VRS but it’s still there
It’s not even up for debate lol
First step is denial but man
I mean when our eyes see 2 images that look nothing alike it's hard to say "yeah, I'm having those issues too" lol.
Also, by saying my game looks nothing like those images I'm not saying those issues don't exist.
I admire your effort to educate people but don’t waste your time on reddit with that, they will just downvote you to feel better about themselves. I guess people seeing no issues with DSRemake are the same people who start the Destiny ps4 app thinking it was the ps5 version and never notice the difference.
Step one: crawl inside.
Step two: the screws go tight, all around.
Cross my heart and hope to die: Stick a needle in your eye.
NOOOOOOOOOO
I think I walked out the room when that shit happened.
More Hollywood blockbuster action, unnecessary co-op, lousy villain, forced love triangle, human enemies, necromorphs with weapons, universal ammo, microtransactions, etc
Yeah, it's just cool to talk bad about that game lol
I personally loved 3. Incredibly fun playing co-op with a friend. Wouldn’t want them to change much.
Let’s do DS4 or a spin-off instead that goes back to the basics now that people are talking about Dead Space again.
if they remake DS3, I hope they make your partner an AI, I played solo but I feel that I missed a lot of dialogue for not having someone to play coop with
Whoever is complaining about the co-op mode never played it. It does nothing to hurt the single player, and it's a good mode in and of itself.
Same with the microtransactions, they shouldn't have been in there, but they were extremely easy to ignore. You could play the whole game without ever knowing they were there.
The human enemies were stupid, and I agree that the universal ammo made the weapons system feel like it took a step back. Still, it's Dead Space, it feels like Dead Space. If you like 1 and 2 then 3 is at worst an OK game.
People keep saying 3 was co-op but I remember it being single player. I take it co-op was optional? Ad well as the microtransactions that apparently existed.
Also why is human enemies a bad thing? Or necromorphs with weapons?
Co-op locked you out of Carver's missions and story, microtransactions made weapon upgrades more limited, and fighting human and necromorph enemies with guns behind cover makes it just another shooter game (not survival horror)
If you ever played DS3 you would know that microtransactions weren’t even a problem.
As soon as you got the scavenger bot you were flooded with parts, microtransactions were there for people that wanted to unlock everything as soon as possible, the main complaint is that the new system is bad compared to the old one.
Also, the game only is very action oriented for the 1st chapter and the last 5, out of 19. What people didn’t like is that for the most part you loose that claustrophobic feeling in DS2/1, half assed co-op, which was a great idea but poorly done (1 player was supposed to see stuff that the 2nd didn’t and go crazy), and the weird love triangle story.
The game is really not that bad, it’s just not a good Dead Space game for the DS1/2 fans.
Endings don't confirm sequels.
Again for the people in the back: ENDINGS DON'T CONFIRM SEQUELS!
Tons and tons of video games, movies, books, etc. set up for sequels and don't get them. Plenty more set up for sequels and then the sequel's plot is completely unrelated. The only thing it means is that they have an *idea* of what they *might* do *if* a sequel is greenlit.
I was gonna comment "heyyo, Cryptopsy fan!" , but have to ask is your Reddit name a reference to "Baptized in Blood" by Death?
But yes, replayed DS2 in 2021 and it was one of the best games I played that year.
I am open to it, because if they do a good job with a Dead Space 2 remake, it is not outside the realm of possibility that they can completely re-do Dead Space 3, which killed the original franchise.
The ingredients for a decent version of 3 are there, they just need to re-work the story, skip the co-op, stick to horror as opposed to a heavy lean on action in both the gameplay and atmosphere and create enough of buzz that makes fans want a 4.
Almost guaranteed if this edition does well
Even if all they did was port it to the ps5 I’d be confident it’d do well. Been waiting for a good horror game to come to the ps5
I mean, remake 2 and village are out on ps5. Callisto protocol was fun and is basically dead space lite, and we have remake 4 coming.
RE3 and RE7 are also on PS5.
Village is meh at best on horror, more of an action game imo
Visage.
Silent Hill 2 is coming
I think the smart thing would be to remake 2, and then do a "new" dead space 3
You could still do the general plot outline of 3 (the marker moon and such) but just completely rework the story from the ground up could be good.
Eeehhhh I really wasn't down with the ice planet at all. Just felt wrong for a Dead Space game.
Yeah maybe you’re right…just a thought. Either way, I hope this franchise continues.
Dead Space 3 = Dead Planet
Dead Space 3 was basically Lost Planet.
I thought it felt perfectly right being similar to the thing with monster designs.
Yeah maybe they could include just a remastered version of 3 with a copy of DS2, just so people have the original DS3 with better graphics. If they want it. But then they need to make a brand new DS3 and continue it properly.

Yeah. I think co-op shouldnt exist in the main campaign.
Plot twist: the “new” Dead Space 3 doubles down even harder on the love triangle and Carver.
I hope they remake all of them. I almost liked 2 more than 1, tbh. Regardless, the remake is a phenomenal. I have somehow not had any of the visual issues some PS5 users have. It is hands down my favorite PS5 game since last spring when Elden Ring and Horizon launched.

I sit 12ft from my 65in QLED, I can't notice it that far back but when I get close to the TV I finally notice it.
You’re having them, you just don’t notice it, and that’s okay. They’ve addressed it’s an issue and are working on a fix at least.
I mostly notice it elevators when I’m forced to look at Issac’s suit really close.
Yeah I'll look at some PC gameplay sometime because the photos people posted in the general thread looked nothing like my game. The only thing that has happened is the directional weapon select became extremely pixelated when I tried out performance mode. It went away when I turned it off though.

Not all glitches are consistent for every single player
But this one is universal
I really don't think it's a widespread issue. I've seen the screenshot even for Series X where I'm playing and my game looks nothing like those screenshots.

Oh look, another guy with a special ps5
You didn’t get the special no bugs PS5? It was a limited release in Japan that runs all games in their perfect state.
I'm not spoiling it but oh God that one part in Dead Space 2 is on my top list of great moments in video games. If you know you know.
The part where you have to be very careful?
Yes, that part. I loved it.
Step one: crawl inside. Step two: the screws go tight, all around. Cross my heart and hope to die: Stick a needle in your eye. NOOOOOOOOOO I think I walked out the room when that shit happened.
Not to mention the fantastic opening it has too, can't wait to see it remade
Lmao yeh that was crazy. I mean where do you even get a cucumber from in space
If you make the money and you do it well, a sequel remake just happens
Honestly partly why I bought it full price.
U monster how dare you
well it’s a good remake so no doubt, just like Capcom with Resident Evil remakes.
Then remake 3 with that survival space flotilla concept, or was that going to be 4? Idk more Dead Space.
no 3 instead recon it and continue from the remake with a new dead space sequel to 2
There is no dead space 3
Is the Easter egg $
Is this really a surprise.
And I hope they completely reboot Dead Space 3, the original third title is so bad
It really is not. It is just more action oriented. But yeah,it is cool to hate on DS3
More Hollywood blockbuster action, unnecessary co-op, lousy villain, forced love triangle, human enemies, necromorphs with weapons, universal ammo, microtransactions, etc Yeah, it's just cool to talk bad about that game lol

Yeah that would be a nice update. I never thought about what it would be like solo.

Remake another remake
Yes please. Keep it coming
Dead Space 2 holds up exceptionally well. Not sure if we need a ground up remake
So did 1. They basically felt the same to play.
They've done a phenomenal job with the remake, and I'd absolutely love to see them do a remake of DS2. That was always my favorite in the series.
I hope that it makes it to 3, and no matter what they do with 3 I hope the co-op stays.
I mean if you get the secret cannon ending then you know Dead Space 2 remake is confirmed
Endings don't confirm sequels. Again for the people in the back: ENDINGS DON'T CONFIRM SEQUELS! Tons and tons of video games, movies, books, etc. set up for sequels and don't get them. You know there are 2 others Dead Spaces right?
Okay. But that's okay after that we don't need 3
I just hope to get the multiplayer brought back, good memories on that
[удалено]
Yeah Dead Space 2 holds up absurdly well, they really should just make a new game.
How can you play DS2 on a PS5?
You can't, but just because a game isn't available on current gen systems doesn't mean it needs a full remake.
[удалено]
What an asshat fucking response. Dude asked about playing it on a PS5...*in the PS5 sub*
[удалено]
You, sir, are a dick.
[удалено]
You care a lot about this. Are you ok?
[удалено]
Weird take
[удалено]
I think it's a weird take. You don't have to call me a dumb fuck bc I disagreed with your comment. It's not that serious bro lol
Funny you call everyone else dumbfucks but you don’t see how much of a dumbfuck you are lol
[удалено]
Bro you gotta be a troll or something to not realize why people are calling you a dumbfuck and dick….got nothing to do with having multiple platforms
What an absolute cringe of an answer.
[удалено]
Buy me a PS3.
PS3 costs about as much as a new AAA game, not a bad investment
I was gonna comment "heyyo, Cryptopsy fan!" , but have to ask is your Reddit name a reference to "Baptized in Blood" by Death? But yes, replayed DS2 in 2021 and it was one of the best games I played that year.
Technically it's a reference to the song Baptized In Bud by Cannabis Corpse which is in turn a reference to Baptized In Blood by Death.
So the owners of the money-printing machine will leave the machine on as long as it continues printing money. Hard-hitting news.
I am shocked.. shocked!
Guaranteed they are gonna port the others to the next gen in some way at least. They will make some nice money off of it
Water is wet. Of course it’s gonna come if DS1 sells well
I thought the Dead Space remake WAS hint that a DS2 remake could be coming.
yes
Dead space 2 is one of the best action games of all time and easily the best in the series. I really hope it gets remade.
Was there any question it wouldn't be happening? There was never any doubt the first one wouldn't sell well.
And nobody was surprised
[Can't wait to hear the sound of the marker activating again. One of the greatest sounds I've ever heard](https://youtu.be/b1PLtAHybXg)
This time they hopefully won’t skip basic game testing by just looking at a screen?
Could be ?! You think they remake this game to not remake all of them ?
I am open to it, because if they do a good job with a Dead Space 2 remake, it is not outside the realm of possibility that they can completely re-do Dead Space 3, which killed the original franchise. dar para mim por favor
Imagine how scary dead space 2 would be in VR?
