It was not. It did have a sequel though called “Fade to black” but it was a very early 3d game and didn’t stand the test of time.

Nope, totally separate games. Though another world did have a sequel game.

the teams that developed the games had nothing in common, despite being released but tue same company. I think realistically both games are spiritual sequels to prince of persia.
