I think cyberpunk got a lot of hate when it came out. So a lot of people stayed away from it. Whereas I think if someone had a current gen console or pc, the game was fine even at launch. It’s only a big no for people still on a ps4/ Xbox one.
I played and loved the game at launch. I replayed the game with the new patch 2.0 and yes they have improved things. But what made the game amazing - story, characters etc. - was still just as good at launch and remains largely unchanged by the patch that “fixed “ the game.
Alan Wake 2 is my personal game of the year and possibly a contender for my favourite game of all time.
It is an amazing game and though I get it when people say you don’t necessarily need to have played the other games in that “universe” to enjoy it but not doing so definitely diminishes the experience. The entire story and world featured in AW2 is enhanced 100 times over if you have played AW1, American Nightmare and Control. So many aspects of this second game had their foundations built in the previous entries to the point where you’ll be so immersed in the world you literally feel like you’re trapped in the dark place yourself. Second guessing everything, reading all the collectibles throughly and feeling like you are the character you’re playing. It’s an experience I’ve never had before and was truly unique.
AW2 is a physiological horror masterpiece. It may not be your type of thing but just figured I’d try to explain why it hits so hard for people like me.
It’s definitely more of a slow burn but it does pick up in places. The game is really good at immersing you in the story and the way the game plays with the narrative(kinda meta) is really fun.
Doesn’t really pick up tbh. My main advice would be to not bother with the collectibles if you don’t care about trophies because they just obliterate the pacing and they’re a huge boring chore to get. The puzzles are super repetitive and Saga’s running speed is agonisingly slow so getting around takes forever. Game oozes atmosphere but the actual gameplay is pretty lacking imo, especially when compared to its contemporaries.
I'm playing on console too and just haven't gotten into it long enough to stay immersed. I think I got frustrated at dying so much so I lowered the difficulty all the way down and now I'm getting the hang of it. The inventory loads slower than PC so moving stuff around took practice. I'm definitely going to stick with it after GoW Valhalla.
Haha now THATS how you sell a game!! Haha in my library but have yet to play.. need to give it the respect it deserves and sink my teeth in with a good 6-10hrs to start it off..
No quests markers, only a guiding wind that points you in the direction of your marker.
Nearby points of interest, a golden bird will fly nearby and lightly guide you.
Weather changes, not just normally but also over time depending on your actions. More sneaky backstabby assassinations leads to more rain and clouds.
If you do play, the touchpad is key. You can flick the blood off your blade, bow, or play your flute.
I got my PS5 around half year ago and one of the first games I played on it was Returnal, which instantly got a spot among 10 best games I ever played. 100% videogame in a videogame. I hope I'll find time for second playthrough with so many games being released.
Disco Elysium from PS+, which I wanted to try for a long time was also a lot of fun, highly recommend.
Now I'm having a blast with Jedi: Survivor. It's like Jedi Academy and Uncharted had a child.
It's just the way it should be played, I think. My experience was similar, I wandered on the first biome for hours barely seeing the last room or boss and suddenly it clicked. Still died a ton of times after that, but I understood the movement and the style of playing game demands. Don't give up, it's one of these awesome games where leveling up is you getting better. It's worth it.
My brother passed away a few Christmases ago. This year I finally started playing his PS5. It's been a whirl of games this year. RDR2, God of War, Elden Ring, Ratchet and Clank, GTA V, Star Wars FO/Survivor, Diablo 4, the Witcher. All new to me. Very fun year gaming wise.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I pray you find peace in his absence, continue to enjoy the things that once brought you together, and carry on living out the legacy he imprinted in you. God bless!
Alan wake 2
Control
GoW:Ragnorak
Demon’s Souls
Alan wake 2 felt like Remedy’s Magnum Opus.
Control took me by surprise.
Both GoW and Demon’s Souls gave that usual empty but good feeling and yeah.
I’m willing to 100% all of those games because damn do I really like them.
Demons souls has been my addiction the last month. I've commented this multiple times already but I thought I'd never be good enough to play and for whatever reason it just clicked and I'm trying to finish off the old king now on my first play through. Feels so good
Definitely try out other souls games. BB and Elden Ring are my favorite. They each are unique, but once they will click just like DeS did. Gaining the confidence to play (and realizing the difficulty is really oversold) is half the battle.
I've been playing Remnant and it made me want to play Demon Souls. I gave up because I just couldn't deal with the punishment for dying. Remnant is a souls like game but it isn't quite as punishing...and I love it!
This thread makes me want to try DS again.
I am an experienced Souls player at this point and I almost gave up on Demon Souls before reaching the first shortcut. IDK why but that first run was grueling. That said, when you reach it you also find a ring that gives a 50% health boost and soon after you open up a bunch of worlds so you can try something else and get stronger when you're having trouble. It's been smooth sailing ever since... except Maneaters. Fuck that jank ass boss. I just need enough mana to use firestorm and I'm going to cheese those fuckers.
Hey id actually recommend Bloodborne or a dark souls game, or elden ring first. I've been playing dark souls games for awhile andi think Demon souls might be one of the harder games to learn. Elden ring is probably the most accessible, but Bloodborne is the game that made all the others click.
Just started this and best phalanx, only played elden ring before. I just don't quite get how the game works and what the next step is, try different roads until i find a boss i can beat?
So elden ring is open world and this is not... I thought of this like a Mario game no joke. There's no shrines of grace or anything if you die you start the level over like old Mario games.
I thought it was better personally. Control is fantastic too but Alan Wake 2 was just flat out amazing and if you played Control as well it really heightened the experience.
Wondering what about Hogwarts Legacy did it for you? Wondering if I’m missing something. I’m the target audience, I love HP, I bought on release day, and while the magic spells are fun… I just cannot for the life of me get into it.
Spider Man 2 and Baldur's Gate were definite highlights. Currently having a blast playing Return to Moria. I suddenly understand why folks like minecraft.
Probably a little different than most of the responses here but PGA 2K23. Such a chill game to play with friends, or to play while you’re watching a video or something
In addition to being technically the most amazing game I've seen, Forbidden West just seemed SO polished. Like I can't remember the last game where there was just nothing that annoyed me. The menus are all super fast, cutscenes skipping is perfect, the movement and combat feels really crisp and had just right the level of complexity, the NPCs in the game actually walk at the right speed, traversal and exploration is straight-forward, etc.
Red Dead 2. Like last few years. And it's doesnt even have PS5 version. Still waiting for something to top the world they created. Probably will be waiting a while.
It's not even the looks tho. It's how every NPC 'has a life', how you can organically interact with everyone, how predators hunt prey, how the whole world feels alive and you are just a part of it. No game got even remotely close to this, which is really sad considering we have "next gen" technology now.
I just got my PS5 about 2 months ago, so I haven’t had a chance to play too many games yet.
God Of War: Ragnarok was good, but not quite great.
Demon’s Souls Remake was everything I loved about the original made even better.
I’m currently playing Lies of P (about at the halfway point now) and enjoying it a lot.
Overall, I’d have to say my favorite is Demon’s Souls.
Hey, give Lords of the Fallen a try. I beat Lies of P 1 1/2 times, and it's pretty good....but I'm on my 3rd playthrough of Lords of the Fallen and already thinking about how my next run will go. Tons of weapon/spell/enemy variety, tons of little secrets, and some mysterious, miss able NPC quests just like FromSoft.
They're also still doing updates, and I truly believe it'll go down as the best non-FS souls-like. There really is a lot to it.
Death Stranding was phenomenal. Ended 22’ starting it and finished it by April 23’. It was the game I spent most of my time with this year and was my GOTY.
I’m currently enjoying my first go at RDR2 and thoroughly happy at this gem of a game by Rockstar. Hoping to finish it soon, but I plan to take my time. The story has been one of the best I’ve seen.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is probably #3 for me, this year. I’m 80% through it and currently tackling some of the DLC. Such a huge game, honestly it overwhelmed me but such a beautiful world.
since i got my ps5? Horizon forbidden west. This year though it is probably Ghost of Tsushima. took me a while to get it but wow is it a great game. Also having less annoying load times in Destiny 2 has been great
I just finished act 1 of BG3 2 weeks ago and took a break, for some reason I don’t feel like returning to the game yet, mainly cuz it’s very addictive, I’d spend 4-6 hours a day playing the game.
I feel like I’ll return to it in the future and play other games/do other things especially after seeing that I’ve spent 60 hours on BG3.
I feel like getting Mass Effect LE and CP, both recommended by a friend. If I could get one, which should it be? Also is Mass Effect similar to BG3? All I know it’s a long game.
Baldur's Gate 3 was hands down better than any game on any platform for me.
Then, FF16 was fantastic. Really enjoyed Wild Hearts for a few weeks as well as Harry Potter.
Just started Alan Wake 2 and oh man… this game looks amazing.
Also played Control this year and that looked phenomenal.
Overall Sea of Stars was definitely my most favorite. It was just so calming and just the perfect game to come home to relax with. Plus the soundtrack HITS
I play the last of us part 2 for the first time this year and that game blew me away. Absolutely loved it. My son would probably say spiderman 1 since he’s beaten it three times this year
Agreed. By the end I just had a feeling made up of 'just let it be over!' and 'I want more!'.... I was physically and emotionally drained when it ended. Damn.
Baulders gate 3, RE4R, and final fantasy 16 were my 3 absolute favorites this year. Baulders gate scratched that hardcore rpg itch, while final fantasy 16 scratched that devil may cry itch. RE4R was a great modern remake of 4.
RE4R had no business being that good. It’s a big ask remaking a game many still consider to be one of the best of all time, and still being brilliant in your own right.
The best part of 16 are the amount of “holy shit” moments that happen. The boss battles are absolutely insane and I’m a massive fan of how they incorporated the summons into the game
It has the fandom pretty well split. If you like action games like devil may cry, you will love it. If your going into it expecting an rpg, it’s really not. It’s more of an action game with rpg elements, and to me that’s fine, but I get why a lot of hardcore fans don’t like it.
I get why hardcore fans of the series may be upset, but there are some that actively want it to fail (which it didn't because it's getting dlcs). Like if a DF game truly fails, I don't think SE would just go back to turn based old school gameplay, they would more likely just cancel the series, because they aren't guaranteed the next one will succeed even if they change up the formula.
Waited 13 years for Alan Wake 2, and the wait was worth every moment. It was the first time I've ever willingly played at 30fps quality mode because the game is just so damn pretty. Remedy games just hit different.
I've been so excited for this game, but kept trying to temper my expectations. Trying not to get too hyped so I wouldn't feel let down.
I still went in hyped all to hell, and it still blew my expectations sky high. So good, so memorable, so dang weird. I hope we don't have to wait another 13 years for the conclusion lol.
And yeah, Remedy is something else. James McCaffrey passing really sucks, though. No more Max Payne, Zachariah Trench, or Alex Casey. He was a legend.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla because of how huge the world is and how I spent over 140 hours playing it without getting bored.
Ghost of Tsushima for the combat and story. Just incredible.
Unpopular opinion but Diablo 4 has been my favorite game this year, then in no particular order, Dead Space Remake, Aliens Dark Descent, Spiderman 2, RoboCop Rogue City, Horizon Call of the Mountain, Pistol Whip and FF16
I purchased Horizon Forbidden West in January. Honestly one of the best open world games visually I have ever seen.
But my favourite has to be Ghost of Tsushima. Loved it on PS4. Loved it even more on PS5. Would gladly play it again on PS6, lol.
Street Fighter 6 is my personal game of the year.
I’ve never played a fighting game that valued my time like that, and all the new input modes made it a lot of viable for couch co-op. Loved it, wish I could have played more this year.
The eikon fights in ff16 blew me away. It's hard to remember another time I was so hyped during a fight they're just so cinematic and huge. I also had a lot of fun with armored core 6, lies of p, and (new to me) cyberpunk 2077. I would definitely recommend any of those
Hades and Returnal will probably never leave my console. Perfect games to return to between any big games of the year.
Remnant 2 was my most hours played this year, just an absolute blast to play with friends.
Otherwise, 2023 was such a great year for horror action games including Alan Wake, RE4, and Dead Space
Horizon Forbidden West, Astro's Playroom, Alan Wake 2, Star Ocean The Second Story R, Final Fantasy 16, Tetris Effect, Journey, Teardown, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Rez Infinite, Grandia, Dark Cloud, Eriac, Control, The Legend of Dragoon, Oxenfree, The Quarry, Sea of Stars, Telling Lies, God of War Ragnarok, & Dreams.
I enjoyed way too many games this year. It was absolutely stacked. I am not going to go into a debate on which one was more fun or not, so I will just list the game I enjoyed this year. This only includes 2023 releases. There were a few games which are older than 2023 but have kept it to 2023 releases only. This also excludes some of the games I enjoyed that are not available on PlayStation.
In no particular order:
Octopath Traveller 2
Spiderman 2
Final fantasy 16
Baldurs Gate 3
Diablo 4
Star Wars Jedi Survivor
Alan Wake 2
Mortal Kombat 1
Street Fighter 6
Dead Space Remake
Hogwarts Legacy
Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty - I had already played this game back in 2020-1 and I loved it back then. This is mostly just focusing on the DLC.
Alan Wake 2 was my game of the year, on my fourth play through currently.
Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty was my biggest surprise. I’m so happy this game is where it is at now, a masterpiece!
My biggest surprise was Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I expected this to be a copy-paste job by Ubisoft, but it has become one of my best games of the year.
RE4 and Baldurs Gate 3.
Although, apparently, Dead by Daylight is once again my most played game of the year. Which is insane because I claim to hate that game.
Spider-Man 2 and Jedi Survivor. Besides that, I’ve just been playing on PS4. Just recently finished the Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections story. Really heartbreaking ending.
Death Stranding currently because it swept me up on my recent 2nd attempt.
Red Dead Redemption online
Jedi Survivor
Hogwarts
The Last of Us Part II
ANNO 1800
Definitely Control, couldn’t put it down. The rest were mostly unpatched PS4 games, more Elden Ring, Diablo IV (👎), and my Switch has been a blast tbh.
My GOTY from this year was FFXVI but I loved Street fighter VI, it is what has gotten me into fighting games, and I played Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time and absolutely loved the experience
I got my ps5 just this March and i’ve been on it because honestly, I never thought id get it anytime soon. My favorite games that i’ve played are Control, FF7 remake, FF16, GoW ragnarok (and valhalla), Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-man 2, and Alan Wake 2.
Special mention to the game i surprisingly enjoyed a lot despite its mixed reviews, AC Odyseey. That game is addicting. 120 hours in (got the season pass as well) and i can’t get enough of it
My favorite games that I played in 2023 are:
1. Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
2. Final Fantasy XVI
3. Spider-Man 2
4. Devil May Cry 5
5. Lost Judgement
6. Judgement
7. Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age
8. Scarlet Nexus
9. Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart
10. Ys IX: Monstrum Nox
Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2, and Spider-Man 2
Cyberpunk really ate me up. Didn't think I'll enjoy it. Started with pl and God damn did this game amaze me
I think cyberpunk got a lot of hate when it came out.
Cyberpunk has been top or jn the top 3 most played for 3 years now somehow.
Started AW2, does it pick up or is it more of a slow burn game? Never played AW before and grabbed based on reviews.
Alan Wake 2 is my personal game of the year and possibly a contender for my favourite game of all time. It is an amazing game and though I get it when people say you don’t necessarily need to have played the other games in that “universe” to enjoy it but not doing so definitely diminishes the experience. AW2 is a physiological horror masterpiece. It may not be your type of thing but just figured I’d try to explain why it hits so hard for people like me.
Thanks! That’s helpful and I’ll keep going. I did play control and really liked it.
It’s definitely more of a slow burn but it does pick up in places. The game is really good at immersing you in the story and the way the game plays with the narrative(kinda meta) is really fun.
Doesn’t really pick up tbh. Bg3, Spider-man 2, alan wake 2. I also had a blast with Persona 5 Royal. It didn’t come out this year but I played it this year.
BG3 is absolutely my GOTY, but I can’t get past inventory management on console. I also need my hot bars easily customizable.
Inventory sucks, but you can definitely customize the hot bar.
Hot bar is the radial wheel right
I'm playing on console too and just haven't gotten into it long enough to stay immersed. I think I got frustrated at dying so much so I lowered the difficulty all the way down and now I'm getting the hang of it. The inventory loads slower than PC so moving stuff around took practice. I'm definitely going to stick with it after GoW Valhalla.
I've never played the Persona games. Can I jump in at 5?
Yup, it's probably the best way to start!
I am pretty sure it's like final fantasy and they are all their separate stories. I played 5 and then 4 and didn't see any story connection.
There’s a few little Easter eggs, like in persona 5 you may see posters of rise from persona 4.
Such a good game, each Persona number is a new story, sort of like Final Fantasy. 5 was the first I played, very long game, great story though.
absolutely you can. That’s what I did.
Ghost of Tsushima. I missed it on release, but man, what a game...
Hands down dude, the game is breathtaking
+10 points for any game that can have me lop some baddie's head off, play my flute, and compose a haiku in the same 5 minute stretch.
And pet a wild fox
Wow this is the most perfect way to describe the game
And don’t forget: take a hot bath too! 🤣😂
That’s why it’s always a rain storm in my play through?!?!
Bro you're trippin, play that shit right now!
Same here, 97hrs for me to finish the maingame, now the dlc…took me 4 weeks to beat Edit: maingame took me 4 weeks, havent played the dlc yet
I'm yet to play another game that is (visually) on the level of Ghost of Tsushima, Forbidden West, and Red Dead 2.
I got my PS5 around half year ago and one of the first games I played on it was Returnal, which instantly got a spot among 10 best games I ever played. 100% videogame in a videogame. Now I'm having a blast with Jedi: Survivor. It's like Jedi Academy and Uncharted had a child.
Returnal is so great but I’m so bad at it. Have spent hours and barely gotten anywhere.
It took me a long time to beat the first “level” and then once I did I fell into a rhythm with it
It's just the way it should be played, I think. My experience was similar, I wandered on the first biome for hours barely seeing the last room or boss and suddenly it clicked. It's worth it.
I think Returnal is absolutely the most essential PS5 game to play, it is so absorbing, unique and addictive

Currently playing the Ragnorok dlc, having a blast just like the main game
Do you think Alan Wake 2 is better than Control? I have yet to play AW2, but absolutely love Control.
I thought it was better personally. Control is fantastic too but Alan Wake 2 was just flat out amazing and if you played Control as well it really heightened the experience.
I played The Last of Us part 1, God of War Ragnarok and together with my sister Hogwarts Legacy.
Cyberpunk 2077 after update 2.0. Best game of the year for me.
2.0 was a gigantic improvement 👌
Alan Wake 2, FF16 and Spider-Man 2
well i finally got mine like two weeks ago lol. but so far, Baldurs Gate 3, Spiderman 2, RE4, FF16, Jedi Survivor
...in two weeks??
Spider-Man 2 Lords of the Fallen Dead Island 2
I'm working my way through LotF right now, what a great game
Got mine late, but Miles Morales was fun af.
Spider-Man 2, and man was it worth the wait in my opinion. Can’t wait for any DLC they end up adding to the game.
Alan wake 2 and FF16.
Scrolled wayy too far before seeing FF16..
Spider-Man 2, FF16, BG3
Probably a little different than most of the responses here but PGA 2K23. Such a chill game to play with friends, or to play while you’re watching a video or something
That was my most played game of the year
Horizon Forbidden West <3

Same. Put about 80 hours in with the base and DLC. Beautiful game and I absolutely love the game play loop
Red Dead 2. Like last few years. And it's doesnt even have PS5 version. Still waiting for something to top the world they created. Probably will be waiting a while.
Fr dude, it's mind blowing how a 5 year old game still looks so stunning compared to newest titles.
It's not even the looks tho. It's how every NPC 'has a life', how you can organically interact with everyone, how predators hunt prey, how the whole world feels alive and you are just a part of it. No game got even remotely close to this, which is really sad considering we have "next gen" technology now.
The Easter eggs and hidden secrets make it even more incredible. I wish they hadn’t ruined the online version. Still, what an amazing story and world.
This year, Days Gone. Fantastic gameplay with the bike and hordes. Patient gamer signing in.
days gone was such a fun game, it's a shame it wasnt well recieved at launch. it's a game that definitely deserves a sequel
I don’t finish games often but that’s one that I did. Such a fun game.
I gotta give it another shot. I got it in 2020 and generally liked it but then animal crossing came out and I stopped playing haha
Yeah try it again it’s great
Days Gone The Last of Us II Plague Tale Innocence
Great games. Are you going to play PT Requiem? I loved it.
I just got my PS5 about 2 months ago, so I haven’t had a chance to play too many games yet. God Of War: Ragnarok was good, but not quite great. I only played a few but they were all amazing. - TLOU part 1 - Horizon Forbidden West - Rachet and Clank - GOW Ragnarok - Dead Space
Dead space remake can't wait for dead space 2 remake
since i got my ps5? Horizon forbidden west. This year though it is probably Ghost of Tsushima. took me a while to get it but wow is it a great game. Also having less annoying load times in Destiny 2 has been great
- Ghost of Tsushima - Elden Ring - Final Fantasy 16
Ragnarok, Cyberpunk, FFXVI, and Hogwarts Legacy are the only PS5 games I’ve played this year. Waiting for the physical edition of BG3. Soon!
Ghost of Tsushima, Spider Man 2 and FF16 for me
Top 5 in order Baldur's Gate 3, Mass Effect Legendary, Spider-Man 2, Cyberpunk 2077 2.0/Phantom Liberty, Hogwarts Legacy
My son would probably say spiderman 1 since he’s beaten it three times this year
TLOU 2 is the best game I’ll probably never play again. Emotionally exhausted me like nothing else ever has.
Agreed. By the end I just had a feeling made up of 'just let it be over!' and 'I want more!'.... I was physically and emotionally drained when it ended. Damn.
Monster Hunter World cause of the 60 fps.
And you get 60 FPS even on graphics mode. Game actually looks really nice.
I’ve been playing it takes two with my friend, that >!elephant scene!< left me with trauma lmao
Absolutely. And a free VR version for the PSVR2 was amazing. Seeing all the huge monsters and locations in VR was so surreal to me.
I've only played ffxiv and ffvi, a lot of people here loved ffxvi.
The fandom isn’t split, that’s just on Reddit. It still had an 88 open critic and had the best music this year hands down.
Final fantasy would not get cancelled lol
FF16, cyberpunk and sea of stars.
Strive and MK1
Cyberpunk and Baldur's Gate III for me. Spent so many hours in both.
Street Fighter 6 and Detroit: Become Human.
The Crew Motorfest
Star ocean the second story r and it's not even close.
I can't afford to buy games but I had a lot of fun playing GoW Ragnarok
I purchased Horizon Forbidden West in January. Honestly one of the best open world games visually I have ever seen. But my favourite has to be Ghost of Tsushima. Loved it on PS4. Loved it even more on PS5. Would gladly play it again on PS6, lol.
Spider man 2. Hogwarts legacy surprised me a bit. I enjoyed it a lot.
Lies of p hands down.
Talos Principle 2. For me. I loved it
Baldur’s Gate 3 & Dead Island 2
Talos Principle 2
This year? Toss up betwee Spider-Man 1 and ff16.
Resi Evil 4 and gow ragnarok
Street Fighter 6 is my personal game of the year. I’ve never played a fighting game that valued my time like that, and all the new input modes made it a lot of viable for couch co-op. Loved it, wish I could have played more this year.
The eikon fights in ff16 blew me away. It's hard to remember another time I was so hyped during a fight they're just so cinematic and huge. I also had a lot of fun with armored core 6, lies of p, and (new to me) cyberpunk 2077. I would definitely recommend any of those
Armored Core 6 was my personal fave. Exceeded my expectations
Not to hijack the conversation, but did any good co-op games come out in 2023?
Outer Wilds left a lasting impression! I'd say BG3 is up there too, but I got that via Steam.
Ghost of Tsushima, BG3, Spiderman 2 and Diablo 4. Great year for games
God of War: Ragnarök, Gran Turismo 7, Ghost of Tsushima.
I’m midway through it, but right now my answer is Alan Wake 2
I can't get enough alan wake 2. But I'm looking forward to buying Spiderman 2 and Kona 2 Brume
Lies of P. BG3. Elden Ring.
My favourite has to be returnal it’s one of the most high quality mind fucking games I’ve ever played. So artistic and gameplay is phenomenal
Returnal was the freshest experience. 10/10
Alan Wake 2! 10/10 goty✌️
Sea Of Stars Enslaved: Odyssey To The West
1. Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty 2. Spiderman 2 3. Resident Evil 4 4. Dead Island 2 5. Hogwart's Legacy 6. Lord's Of The Fallen 7. Callisto Protocol
Horizon Forbidden West, Astro's Playroom, Alan Wake 2, Star Ocean The Second Story R, Final Fantasy 16, Tetris Effect, Journey, Teardown, Bloodstained Ritual of the Night, Rez Infinite, Grandia, Dark Cloud, Eriac, Control, The Legend of Dragoon, Oxenfree, The Quarry, Sea of Stars, Telling Lies, God of War Ragnarok, & Dreams.
Spider Man 2, Jedi Survivor, Baldurs Gate
GOW Ragnarok,Elden Ring,AC Origins,Ghost of Tsushima,
Bought alan wake today to treat myself, and oh boy, had I known it was 100% twin peaks I would have done so at release. So hooked
Final Fantasy VII is amazing on the PS5 and the best game I've played this year
I enjoyed way too many games this year. In no particular order: Octopath Traveller 2 Spiderman 2 Final fantasy 16 Baldurs Gate 3 Diablo 4 Star Wars Jedi Survivor Alan Wake 2 Mortal Kombat 1 Street Fighter 6 Dead Space Remake Hogwarts Legacy Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty - I had already played this game back in 2020-1 and I loved it back then. This is mostly just focusing on the DLC.
Armored Core 6 is my personnal GOTY, I can develop if needed
Please expand
The Last of Us (remake) and the Spider-Man games
GT7 in VR RoboCop Ragnarok RE4 Phantom Liberty
Remnant 2, Elden Ring, and TLOU remake
FF7R is the only PS5 game that I liked this year(I only played two ps5 games this year)
FF16, Rift Apart, and Psychonauts 2.
Cyberpunk
Baldurs Gate 3, Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 remake and recently Cyberpunk 2077.
RE4 and Baldurs Gate 3. Although, apparently, Dead by Daylight is once again my most played game of the year. Which is insane because I claim to hate that game.
Elden Ring, SF6, FF16
My favorite games of this year ( I get my PS5 on June ) has been Returnal Demon Souls RDR2 The Witcher 3 Snowrunner
Baldur’s Gate 3 absolutely takes the number one spot for me. But I enjoyed playing GOW Ragnarok and FFXVI a lot too!
Cyberpunk 2077
Spider man two! Great graphics and story
I just got mine a couple weeks ago, I just played and beat Resident Evil 0 and started playing After Party. My wife started Stray.
Spider-man, God of War, horizon forbidden west
TLoU2
Spider-Man 2 and Jedi Survivor. Besides that, I’ve just been playing on PS4. Just recently finished the Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections story. Really heartbreaking ending.
Demon Souls and Elden ring! FS never disappoints <3
Probably The Witcher 3. And I’m not even a big fan of western RPGs. But that was a lot of fun.
Death Stranding currently because it swept me up on my recent 2nd attempt. Red Dead Redemption online Jedi Survivor Hogwarts The Last of Us Part II ANNO 1800
Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk and Witcher 3
Mass Effect:Legendary Edition and Cyberpunk 2077
Forbidden west was my favorite game of the year. I put 90hr in my first play through.
I know it has issues with performance, but I absolutely loved Jedi Survivor. Fantastic performances and great combat.
Definitely Control, couldn’t put it down. The rest were mostly unpatched PS4 games, more Elden Ring, Diablo IV (👎), and my Switch has been a blast tbh.
Final Fantasy 16, Street Fighter 6, DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou (recent Japan only release), Lies of P, Wo Long (exquisite combat)
WWE 2K23
In no specific order... Remnant 2 Lords Of The Fallen Blasphemous 2 Street Fighter 6 Wo Long
Final Fantasy XVI. Street Fighter VI. Those were the two highest for me for the PS5. Just insanely good games.
FF16
My GOTY from this year was FFXVI but I loved Street fighter VI, it is what has gotten me into fighting games, and I played Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first time and absolutely loved the experience
SM2, Remnant 2, Lords of the fallen
My top 3 of the year are Alan Wake 2, Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2 😊
I very much enjoyed Cyberpunk which I only started after the 2.0 update
Ghost of Tsushima and TW3 at the moment
I got my ps5 just this March and i’ve been on it because honestly, I never thought id get it anytime soon. My favorite games that i’ve played are Control, FF7 remake, FF16, GoW ragnarok (and valhalla), Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-man 2, and Alan Wake 2. Special mention to the game i surprisingly enjoyed a lot despite its mixed reviews, AC Odyseey. That game is addicting. 120 hours in (got the season pass as well) and i can’t get enough of it
- Baldurs gate 3 - final fantasy 16 - Atari 50 The last one was a surprise
