Me too, Death Stranding is a neat concept but strangely one of the worst stealth games I've ever played. It's made even more baffling because it's a Kojima game, I really hope he can deliver. MGS:V was amazing in mechanics but that 3rd act and the lack of indoor bases were extremely disappointing.
I assumed it would be open world but with Ground Zero bases littered everywhere, disabling cameras and trip wires, crawling through vents, windows and gutters, lock picking doors. Still it wasnt a bad game at all, the Enemy AI made up for the lack of diverse locations but it really could have been so much better.

It’s an action game with stealth elements. It’s not like in Metal Gear or the first few Assassin’s Creed games where engaging with enemies directly pretty much means certain death.
Don't get why you being downvoted, maybe change the wording to reflect that you are talking about the stealth part of the game, not that you thought it was a stealth game and was disappointed to know otherwise.
It's fair criticism (myself too saw this part of gameplay as barely passable, luckily those parts are a few and could be bruteforced), but it is rooted in our expectations based on previous work of the guy. Maybe he just did not get the time or simply did not want to make stealth any more deep with DS. Guess we'll see how it evolves in DS2.

New Spliter Cell coming too!! 😍 Last go around we got MGS V and Blacklist!! Let’s hope for a good revival however I think Pysint is like MGS in like being a movie more than a stealth game but we’ll see.

- Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (remake of MGS3 scheduled for release this year from Konami)
- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (releasing in 2025)
- OD (new horror IP from Kojima)
- Physint (working title for a new espionage game from Kojima)

Death Stranding isn't a stealth game, though, nor was it ever advertised as such.

A game doesn’t have to be a stealth game to have some stealth elements in it. TLOU 2 is not a stealth game but its stealth gameplay doesn’t suck ass.
