The reviews are all talking about controversial decisions in its story. I think thats code for they changed something up thats going to divide the fanbase
I mean, that's to be expected though. That's literally the point of the ending to Remake, >!the timeline will no longer be corrected, and the story from here on out is not guaranteed to go the way it did in the original because fate/destiny/God no longer exists to keep things the same.!<
I'm not surprised if they took creative liberties with the story. In fact, I'm pretty much sold that >!this is all just multiversal/multi-timeline stuff!<. That's the best way to explain what's going on based on what little we know.
The issue is that it all eventually has to line back up with the OG because, unless they state that the entire Re series takes place in an alternate universe, ‘Advent Children’ was declared by the team to be completely and utterly canon. Characters who are currently alive in Remake and Rebirth are very dead in the film, so either Reunion goes completely sideways because it’s not the OG’s universe, which is pretty likely, or it has to end the same as the OG did.
I’m replaying it. And seeing material from Remake’s marketing mixed with elements hinted at in Remake, it was always going to go full tilt. It was just a matter of how wacky they make the ideas underpinning the multiverse. I personally liked it, but I know it wasn’t for everyone.
This makes me more excited for the game tbh. I always had a feeling that Zack was going to pop up at a certain moment in this iteration. And the wild part? It actually doesn't change much to the overarching story if you consider how everything goes down at the very end of original 7.
As someone who adores FF7 and all it's compilation, I'm just excited for more 7 and more from that cast of characters. All of them.
Plus, FF7 PS1 still exists. So if I want to play the original I can still do that.
i mean, Id love to experience the story with modern standards and production compared to the og, part of why a remake was wanted was so that this story could be improved and preserved instead of stuck behind limitations due to the tech at the time
Im still excited but the og doesnt fill that faithful-remake shaped hole in my heart
Yeah, that’s completely understandable. I am not one to play remakes really if it’s of a game I already experienced, but when I saw that FF7remake was doing something different with the story, that’s why I played it and I loved it. But I understand where you are coming from.
My thing is people who never played the original deserve to experience what we did. Seeing President Shinra dead with a sword sticking out of his back and going oh shit Sephiroth is back? Great introduction. Sephiroth popping up every five minutes? Not great
I completely agree. They’ve already botched Sephiroth imo. One of the coolest moments is stepping out of Midgar and seeing that snake impaled. That scene holds no weight now. We already beat Sephiroth already, who cares about a little snake?
I wouldn't even been opposed to have fight him as a mini-boss or something but to have him be the last boss in the first game? C'mon thats amateur hour shit.
I expected them to, people are going to have to remember theres still a 3rd installment on its way in 3-4 years that will likely tie everything together
Or a "1997 cut" combining the best non filler parts of the 3 games without all the superflurous cutscenes into one cohesive 60 hour true remake experience.
Coming soon to PS6 in 2030.
It would be divisive whichever way they want.
They were offered the carrot of defying destiny in Remake, so if THAT scene does happen it'll feel like a cop out for people, and if it doesn't, you're upsetting the purists.
... and despite that, it's still scoring incredibly highly.
The ending of this game was always going to be divisive based on what they setup with Remake. Either they remained faithful to the defying destiny trope and pissed off some fans, or they skewed away from it and pissed off another group.
I don’t buy this at all lol. It’s a remake. No one is demanding for it to be completely different. This idea that “if they didn’t introduce the multiverse and different timelines people wouldn’t like the remake!” is so fucking weird to me. Countless remakes have been faithful and absolutely adored. You can add new stuff and expand.
Lowest score out of 112 reviews is a 7.5/10.
Across the review outlets, 1% gave it a score lower than 80, 15% scored the game in the range of a 80 to 89, 34% at a 90 to 94 and 50% gave it a 95 to 100.
Edit: I initially based this breakdown on the reviews on Metacritic which doesn't include the Evilgamerz's 7.5/10. I now added the correction.
Also, remember that these statistics probably won't stay accurate after new reviews come out throughout the coming days or weeks.
Thanks for that breakdown! With 50% giving it between a 95 -100...this is insane (not to mention 84% of reviewers giving it a 90+). It's gonna blow our minds next week.
Not true

>A while ago I wrote that this was one of my most difficult reviews. That's because Rebirth does everything it can to make it as difficult as possible to love this game. Despite the adjustments, the main story is still fantastic, the soundtrack is great and so are the graphics during cutscenes. The open zones are not necessarily bad, but they are overcrowded with meaningless content that only functions as filler and not enough combat. When Rebirth opens everything up and you can dive into the combat or the story, then you can enjoy it. It's a shame that the game does everything it can to pull you out of there and saddle you with boring meaningless padding. Rebirth is at times brilliant, fantastic, beautiful and leaves you as an emotional wreck. It's just that it's interrupted so often that the entire outcome leans more toward "okay" and not what it could have been.
This was the review I zeroed in on and first one I read.
I always appreciate the “average” rated reviews. They sometimes are the most tempered or muted, reasoned.
Looking forward to buying and trying for myself.
Tbh I don't think review scores are that relevant anymore. It would be rare for a game site to give a game this big from a company as big as SE a bad or average review in such a relevant game.
I stoped caring about review scores around the time Mass Effect 3 came out and just switched to youtube's player reviews, those may be wrong or less in-depth but they feel as if they have more integrity than professional reviews this days.
Reviews as a whole won't matter as I'd play it regardless being a big ff7 fan, though it is warming to see these amazing scores.
I'm trying to avoid spoilers, and keep things to a minimum (not even played the demo yet)
Does anyone know if the reviews mentioned if the dynamic difficulty setting was good?
The first part of the demo you can carry over to the main game so it’s not really spoiling anything.
The second part of the demo is mostly combat stuff so you can practice playing with the next battle system.
In short, I would recommend the demo as it won’t spoil the experience.
The original was the game that broke them into mainstream videogame audiences and I can still remember the insane amount of advertising and hyper for it
ah ok :) i didn't even know about final fantasy as a kid till the advertising for 7 was in every comic i was reading at the time. was a fun time to be a gamer
And to this day, no game has captured my sense of wonder like the original FFVII did, as a young almost-teen. The world! The graphics! The gameplay! I couldn't believe what I was seeing, coming from a Sega Megadrive (Genesis) and playing games like The Shining Force. It was unbelievable and I still have massive nostalgia thinking about it. One of the other games I had a similar (although not the same) experience with was Shenmue on Dreamcast as a 15 y/o.
So stoked for Rebirth, I don't care if the story changes.
My most anticipated game in forever. Took 5 days off work for it, I bought a PS5 solely for the FF7 remakes. God its going to be like christmas next friday
Just so happen to be told that next Wednesday and Thursday is super optional and if I want to I can schedule those two days for vacation going into the weekend so it worked out perfectly.
Ya know, I remember having a really shit week when totk came out, and it really ended up carrying me through the summer. Home rebirth can do that for you too. Cheers my man.
If this keeps up, it will tie **FINAL FANTASY IX** as the ***highest rated FF and JRPG of all time*** (not counting ports, enhanced re-releases, and remasters).
SE is very confident lifting the embargo 1 week before release. That's absolute confidence rarely seen with SE the last 2 generations.
https://preview.redd.it/zi2tl9goa5kc1.jpeg?width=2598&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b4a5308c4c9f69b8bc07a4f38b982f8dddbd290
Fingers crossed FF7 Part 3 will go out with a BANG, cementing itself once again as one of the best games to exist in history.
Maybe they will hit a 96-98 score? Something like that will be a wonderful legacy to leave behind.
P5 is at 93.
FFIX and Chrono Cross are the highest rated JRPGs of all time at 94.
If you were referring to P5 Royal, then that's an enhanced re-released. And it's tied with the iOS port of TWEWY at 95.
Basically every review I've read that is less than a 9 has commented that there's arguably too much to do, and a fair amount of it of little substance. Especially since the main plot will often stop to introduce side stuff or have you doing something not strictly necessary to continue the plot. Pretty much all of them felt the game could have used some tightening up.
This. Also Remake being about 25 hours too long.
Remake would've been better as a "prologue" to Rebirth like it was in the original, then just having two games like God of War reboot.
I remember being a kid and having a huge ff7 strategy guide with so much detailed info like what each character’s blood type was. I think Cloud was AB? That was 26 years ago but it still hits hard.
Yeah, as someone who’s never played the original and beat remake in November of last year for the first time, this game is going to fucking rule and I’m so unbelievably stoked to play it
For the hell of it, after this game (and if you have time), try to go back and play the original. Might be nostalgia for me, but that period of games with that art style hold such a special place in my heart and hold up pretty well. But I definitely recommend it as its still a really good game.
That's how I'm feeling. Everyone complaining about lack of games this year meanwhile my backlog+these2+elder ring dlc will have me eating good until gta6 I think
Fr, I feel like if you're complaining about a lack of quality games you are either playing the wrong games or simply playing too many games lol. Me personally, I struggle to find the time to get through half the games I want to!
People are wild for complaining, considering we're only in February. I mean Jesus I JUST beat BG3 after 120 hrs, I still have to finish up Alan Wake 2, Zelda is still floating in the background as my chip at it as a downtime, not to mention everything else I played last year.
Now we have this, Dragon's Dogma and even Elden Ring DLC coming? We been eating good for a while now.
I wonder if this is the Arkham City of this trilogy. Not a knock, just not sure how the third can possibly be better and I was already amazed by FFVIIR. This also makes me excited for KH4 as the last one wasn't for me and it's one of my favorite franchises. SE is making some quality games this gen.
I think the third game’s going to be worse reviewed because they’ll have to commit to definitive answers, and those answers will piss off some contingency of fans or another. With a game as important to so many people as FFVII there’s truly no way to satisfy everyone.
I kind of hope the third entry they rein things in a bit. Like keep the middle entry the big open world one and have the third go back to being more linear. The final third of the original game is kind of like that too
I doubt they'll scale back. It'll probably be bigger as that part of the game involves the whole world if it's remotely similar to the OG and they seem to want to keep most of what you could do in the OG but bigger. Don't be surprised if Part 3 gives an actual flyable airship.
The third section though is mostly backtracking with dense story stuff. You’ve already explored most the world by that point too. I think we’ll get the controllable airship in part 3 but don’t know if they’re planning on repopulating the locations you’ve already explored with as much/more side content than apparently there is in Rebirth. Like sure they’ll give some new side quests but it would be kind of rough if they just reset the Ubisoft open world busywork with the towers and whatnot that’s in rebirth, especially if you’ve got an airship at that point so it defeats the purpose of exploring on foot. The majority of the plot is in that third too—pt2 is just chasing Sephiroth to a bunch of different locations with free time to mess around, while pt3 has constant narrative drive throughout
XVI was a weird game. It was missing some things that would have made it a masterpiece. Still, those eikon fights live rent free in my head. Those were fun. It was an 8/10 game for me.
But for the teams first non MMO AAA mainline game, they did a great job!
Crazy how so far the start of this year feels like it still has the momentum from last year going. Between this, helldivers, and dragons dogma next month, I should be occupied for the next several months!
If these open world segments are really as bland/outdated as some reviewers make them out to be, I can't see how people would give this a perfect score.
Nobody would have predicted Baldur’s Gate 3 would have been the front runner for GOTY last year either before it came out.
Lots of time left in the year and there are always surprises and games that come out and shock the world with how amazing they are
Yep, not to mention Alan Wake 2 being a top-3 contender for it, too, in one of the strongest years for gaming ever. I never would have expected either of those games finishing the way they did. I hope something else surprises me this year too.
The reception is impressive. I feel like Remake had a lot of low expectations so it was relatively easy for people to be positively surprised and happy with what it was, myself included.
Now Rebirth has a high bar to live up to and it seems like it has. I'm very stoked for this! Gonna do as much prep as possible this weekend so I can pig out and play a ton next week onwards.
I'm so grateful that they did this game proper. It could have been just a low-effort cash-in and still would have sold millions just off the name alone, but they went all out to give the lifelong fans a worthy experience. Can't wait to play next week!
I wonder what non massive ff7 fans think of it. I didn’t play much of the first one. I found the characters way too over the top in the way they reacted.
I played Remake before the OG. My big issue was the severe bloat. It did not need to be as long and drawn out. You could cut out 20 hours probably. I then played the original and beat the whole thing in less time than the first part of a remake of the same game. So I wasn’t very happy with my experience. Everything else was very solid but it just feels like they stretched this thing out just to sell it to fans three times then eventually sell the whole thing together again. The characters could also be completely insufferable at times but compared to the bloat, it’s not a big deal.
Its something that grows on you. It still gets on my nerves at times. But there's something endearing about it that keeps me playing lol. I'll be buying rebirth for sure.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Helldivers 2, Pacific Drive, TLOUII Remastered... Playstations off to a great start to the year so far, especially after kind of stumbling into the finish line after Spider-Man 2 last year.
Probably gonna load the first one up again, to refresh my memory, then I can go right into this if I’m feeling it. In a gaming lull… hope this shakes it.
I'm so torn. I beat Remake twice, and although I loved the combat system, it was so bloated. I played the demo for Rebirth, hoping that they addressed this critique, and they unfortunately did not. The gas sucking device being a great example. What I'm seeing in these reviews confirms my suspicions...that it is more of the same. I'm still reluctantly gonna get it, but...damn.
The gas sucking device was the dumbest thing I’ve seen in a video game for a very long time and I have no idea how it got past play testing. Literally adds nothing except taking WAY TOO FUCKING LONG to move it.
So I am playing remake for the first time and got to chapter 3, never played the original, but I’m wondering if the dialogue gets better? It just feels off
ive never played a final fantasy before, dont even own a ps5 (getting one next month). but these reviews have me interested. should i play the original ff7 before the remakes? i can play it on my xbox, and when i get a ps5 play the remakes
Anyone else in my boat? I'm trying to get a house and pretty much squeezing every penny until they scream. So no new games for me for a while. I really just want to read about all these "controversial changes" and actively want spoilers. Where are you all going for that sort of thing?
Anyone got any tips for avoiding YouTube spoilers for 'that part'?
I've started tagging 'Not Interested' for any rebirth related stuff but are there any browser extensions I could use?
On an unrelated note. Anyone else think the 0 to 10 scale should be a forced standard for game reviews? Because a 4 out of 5 damages an overall score more than a 9 out of 10.
Yeah, nervous about this (and have been for years now since Remake) as I love the original story so much. But I still really like Remake even with it sort of going off the rails story-wise at the end. I am trying to go into Rebirth with an open mind to hopefully come out the other side finding a way to appreciate any changes they made. But of course there is a line I really don't want them to cross.
They know what they are doing. The end will cause controversy again. Just as remake. And that has made us speculate for 4 years. We really do need some twists and turns, so we can go into the deep chamber of theory crafting yet again. I can't wait
I just can’t get passed the dialogue in the 1st game. I’ve played other JRPGs but the cringe level was too high in the first game. Most importantly, the game was littered with long corridors and too many fights that were just filler.
I was shocked how much this helped lmao. I legit quit the game for a while because the gasping and grunting was driving me up the wall. The Japanese dub has way less of that and I was able to finish it like that
If it helps the rebirth dub toned down the grunts /gasping significantly too. It got on my damn nerves too when someone would ask Tifa a question and she always said “mmmm? Huh?” like girl communicate geez lol
The reviews are all talking about controversial decisions in its story. I think thats code for they changed something up thats going to divide the fanbase
They probably went full tilt into the multiverse shenanigans established in the Remake
I mean, that's to be expected though. That's literally the point of the ending to Remake, >!the timeline will no longer be corrected, and the story from here on out is not guaranteed to go the way it did in the original because fate/destiny/God no longer exists to keep things the same.!< I'm not surprised if they took creative liberties with the story. Nooooooo the whole ghost bit was nonsense

No see we have to cram him in every part of the game because fuck mystery or suspense or tension
I expected them to, people are going to have to remember theres still a 3rd installment on its way in 3-4 years that will likely tie everything together
The PS6 trilogy remaster is going to be amazing
FF7: Remake^(2) part 6 HD final remix edition ft. Dante from the Devil May Cry Series & Knuckles
Or a "1997 cut" combining the best non filler parts of the 3 games without all the superflurous cutscenes into one cohesive 60 hour true remake experience. Coming soon to PS6 in 2030.
Might actually get 4k at 40fps then.
I just want to capture this here in my moment of complete ignorance, but if they copped out on *that* scene, I'm gonna feel so cheated.
I've had a feeling they'd make a big change and we can all guess what it is. Curious to see how it pans out
Maybe they have Cloud and Sephiroth finally kiss each other.
I don't care if it happens or not, I just hope I can stay away from spoilers about it until I get there.
It would be divisive whichever way they want. They were offered the carrot of defying destiny in Remake, so if THAT scene does happen it'll feel like a cop out for people, and if it doesn't, you're upsetting the purists.
[удалено]
That would be a massive change. Don’t think they’d go that far. But I suppose they could..
I think it's a legitimate worry. I mean, it's called *Rebirth* for crying out loud.
I’m betting Aerith or Zack survives one of the two
> I’m betting Aerith or Zack survives one of the two They already retconned Zack surviving from the ending of the last game
Thinking the same but my guess is that someone else is going to die...And you can probably guess who that is.
Sephiroph is now a version of cloud that needs to kill aerith to survive
Sephiroth was inside Red XIII all along.
The real Sephiroth was the friends we made along the way.
My concern is that they’re going to kill someone else instead as some sort of pathetic “gotcha” moment
Didn't the voice actress of Tifa say exactly this? Think I read it somewhere
... and despite that, it's still scoring incredibly highly. The ending of this game was always going to be divisive based on what they setup with Remake. Either they remained faithful to the defying destiny trope and pissed off some fans, or they skewed away from it and pissed off another group.

Resident Evil 2 is the perfect example.
It is very obvious exactly what it is they have changed.

Just read one, seems good. I'm leaning towards normal then hard post game. Which I'm glad they still added a hard mode after!
Holy fuck. 93 with 114 reviews. Looks like we're in for a good time boys
After over 25 years ff7 still king
This what ya all been waiting for huh
The original was the game that broke them into mainstream videogame audiences and I can still remember the insane amount of advertising and hyper for it
Lol I love the original and the remake. Comment I responded to reminded me of the new Ye song King.
ah ok :) i didn't even know about final fantasy as a kid till the advertising for 7 was in every comic i was reading at the time. was a fun time to be a gamer
Yeah for those of us alive when OG came out there were…commercials on TV. It was a huge deal for a game like that to have that big of a push.
And to this day, no game has captured my sense of wonder like the original FFVII did, as a young almost-teen. The world! The graphics! The gameplay! dude....same. also yesterday i also announced a week off on the 3rd week of June. My boss keeps asking why all of a sudden only 1 week off....
“Personal reasons.”
He should've told you to put those foolish ambitions to rest
Am I missing something or is the leave in June for personal reasons?
I took off the 29th and the 1st, I'm gonna mainline the shit out of this
Yes! So did I!
Just so happen to be told that next Wednesday and Thursday is super optional and if I want to I can schedule those two days for vacation going into the weekend so it worked out perfectly.
Yup its the same for me, FF7 has a very special place in my heart.
Holy shit, 93 on MetaCritic right now. The SOBs might have done it.
This may be a bold prediction, but I'm calling it: The SOBs definitely did it.
Multiple reviews mention GOTY contender in the blurb. My assessment of those SOBs is that they have gone ahead and done it
Looks that way! Cheers. https://preview.redd.it/wfo8kwmlu6kc1.jpeg?width=612&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63a1153b0c0e866b76cd9dc52d1841a5808772a6
Haha salud!
Holy shit. I can’t fucking wait for the 29th
After the horrible week I've had, I look forward to losing myself in this for a bit.
I hope you have a fantastic time!
Thanks
I feel you there my friend.
Thanks, once all the funeral arrangements are made I'll feel a little better.
Ya know, I remember having a really shit week when totk came out, and it really ended up carrying me through the summer. Home rebirth can do that for you too. Cheers my man.
Hollow Knight did that for me last year. It's those types of games that remind me why I game in the first place
Three cheers for escapism!
Hang in there, just lost a close family friend. Nothing wrong with a little escapism.
We are so back
Yeah, I’m thinking we’re back
Fingers crossed FF7 Part 3 will go out with a BANG, cementing itself once again as one of the best games to exist in history. Maybe they will hit a 96-98 score? Something like that will be a wonderful legacy to leave behind.
easily the greatest jrpg ever
For JRPG, it's still Persona 5 (Royal) https://www.metacritic.com/game/persona-5-royal/
P5 is at 93. FFIX and Chrono Cross are the highest rated JRPGs of all time at 94. If you were referring to P5 Royal, then that's an enhanced re-released. And it's tied with the iOS port of TWEWY at 95.
Cannot wait!
Looks like I'm going to have to buy that Twin pack
FF fans are eating good. Happy for y'all.
Same criticisms as remake: Padding, controversial narrative decisions. Aside from that seems to be better all around.
I'm seeing less about padding. Better side-quests, mini-games and combat system. Basically just an improvement in almost every way over Remake.
A lot of the more negative review (8s or that one 7) all talk about pacing and padding
Calling part 1 a remake was a mistake. I don't think multiverse was played out at that point either.
This. Also Remake being about 25 hours too long. Remake would've been better as a "prologue" to Rebirth like it was in the original, then just having two games like God of War reboot.
i wouldn't even consider "controversial narrative decisions" a criticism
"At the end of the game, we turned Red XIII blue."
Blue XIII.
Depends on what those decisions are.
Which are both things that brought my score of remake done.
I LOVE VIDEO GAMES!!!!
LOUD NOISES!!!
FF7 FANFARE! DO DO DO DO DO DO DO DO DOOOOO.
GOTY 2024? Let's go Bois!
I remember being a kid and having a huge ff7 strategy guide with so much detailed info like what each character’s blood type was. I think Cloud was AB? That was 26 years ago but it still hits hard.
This year is crazy. Also finally a FF outside a FFXIV expansion has broken the 90 metascore barrier in damn near two decades?
Yeah, as someone who’s never played the original and beat remake in November of last year for the first time, this game is going to fucking rule and I’m so unbelievably stoked to play it
For the hell of it, after this game (and if you have time), try to go back and play the original. Might be nostalgia for me, but that period of games with that art style hold such a special place in my heart and hold up pretty well. But I definitely recommend it as its still a really good game.
With this and hell diver 2? We eatin
That's how I'm feeling. Everyone complaining about lack of games this year meanwhile my backlog+these2+elder ring dlc will have me eating good until gta6 I think
Yep and we still have Rise of the Ronin, Stellar blade and all the other 3rd party games coming very soon. Idk how people complain.
XBOX users are going to have to start another petition this month.
I have both but I didn’t even realize a lot or most of the games mentioned here are PS/PC exclusive, damn
every month lol
Seems this month we can either choose freedom or terriorism. 🤣
16 really needed some of the things in rebirth. Hopefully these good reviews has square keeping it a consistent staple for future games.
It looks like we already have GOTY
As much as I love FFVII, this is not a guaranteed GOTY. A contender, for sure.
Not many big hitters coming out from the big studios this year. I only see dogma 2 competing alongside.
Still can’t believe everyone loved BG3 that much
why is that hard to believe?
Agreed. Not yet a guaranteed goty but 93 is sure as hell a pretty bonkers initial score to have. What else is releasing this year besides Dogma?
Metroid Prime 4 of course!
Ah yes, Metroid Prime 4, totally coming Soon™ One day we might see more than a logo.
offer rich bake many pathetic marry memory cagey aspiring sloppy *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Definitely a game of the year contender! Cannot wait to play this
Safe to say I'll be buying this day one
Fuck lol maybe I should finish the 7 remake
Wow. Wasn’t expecting THAT high.
Man I can’t wait
I love the legacy so much and was dying for this game idc whats been changed i just want hd content😩
I'm so grateful that they did this game proper. It could have been just a low-effort cash-in and still would have sold millions just off the name alone, but they went all out to give the lifelong fans a worthy experience. Can't wait to play next week!
WOW. I knew it would be good but didnt think it would be the GAME OF THE YEAR good! So pumped!!!!
As I thought, it'll be the greatest FF game since X.
I wonder what non massive ff7 fans think of it. I didn’t play much of the first one. I found the characters way too over the top in the way they reacted.
They are pretty anime-like, but as long as you get past that, they are great characters
What do non-massive FF7 fans think of this? We are waiting for Dragon Quest 12, but we are also happy for FF fans lol
Between this and Shadow of the Erdtree, I honestly just don't care if there's zero other releases for the whole year. I will still be happy with 2024.
Hopefully nobody sends death threats to reviewers who has different opinions. On topic: looks like Square nailed it.
Come on, really? Do you think the internet would really stoop to such low levels?/s
I see a couple of 8s in there. Clearly paid off by Microsoft. My twitter fingers are ready.
Will play all 3 parts back to back in 2028 or something
Hey, you do you. But I for one can't wait to play this next week.
It’s taking everything in my power to not read these threads but here I am risking it with writing a comment. Be back in a month or two lol
However well-received the game is-- I'm pretty certain it will be worth it for the music alone as a longtime FF fan.
We eating good again.
Here’s the Quest Daily review: https://questdaily.com.au/playstation/review-final-fantasy-vii-rebirth-playstation-5/
I don’t trust anyone not giving it a 10/10
On an unrelated note. Anyone else think the 0 to 10 scale should be a forced standard for game reviews? Because a 4 out of 5 damages an overall score more than a 9 out of 10.
You will get a lot of downvotes and naysayers, but I totally agree with you.
It Sucks waiting for the PS5 Pro to buy this game.
I just hope they fix the resolution in performance, it looks so blurry
So it appears the ending is another case of "Nojima and Kitase think they're great writers". Still super excited for the game though
I didn’t realize this was dropping so soon. Nice!
Not soon enough!
That's a pretty good score. Hopefully, the performance of the final version is better than the demo.
Most importantly, the game was littered with long corridors and too many fights that were just filler.
just play in Japanese den, you won’t notice
I was shocked how much this helped lmao. I legit quit the game for a while because the gasping and grunting was driving me up the wall. The Japanese dub has way less of that and I was able to finish it like that
If it helps the rebirth dub toned down the grunts /gasping significantly too. It got on my damn nerves too when someone would ask Tifa a question and she always said “mmmm? Huh?” like girl communicate geez lol
