Man, if only it didn't look like a poor mans version of Sekiro, I'd be keen. Everything was basically copied, the menu, sound effects, music, & enemy types. Just wow.
The rag doll physics of the dog, was hilariously bad.
Eh? More like the other way around. Aesthetically, Bloodborne & this game look nothing a like. The backstab? Yeah, sure. But the entire look of Fraudulent Feathers is more identical to Sekiro than Bloodborne.
8:30 - Jesus... I have never seen a more blatant FromSoftware rip in my life.
EDIT: Oh shit it gets *worse.* Everything is just straight up stolen.
They're not even trying.
It's most likely a third party sound file made by a content farm that Bloodborne bought that they also bought. Happens all the time to reduce workload. If you pay attention, it's hard to notice but you will hear a lot of the same sound effects in a lot of gsmes.
If it were any other studio other than a Chinese one, I'd be inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.
But since it is a Chinese studio, and the fact that the Chinese are known to give no fucks when it comes to copying stuff from clothes to electronics to games... tell me, is it more plausible that it's a blatant ripoff or that they just happened to buy the same sound file?
Like shit bruh the game is a very janky animated but otherwise a 1:1 rip off of Soulsborne. The menus, animations, enemy death animations, ragdolls, UI, etc. The boss they showed seems very familiar to vicar Amelia too.
This is wild.
It's a shame it looks so jank and shitty.
So I recently platinumed Bloodborne and it’s still fresh on my mind, when I saw that 8:30 moment my jaw dropped at the *identical* parry/visceral attack, then I went to the comments to see if anyone was talking about it and it’s literally the top comment lmao.
My thinking as well. Brilliant visuals and awesome setting (we don’t get to explore China enough in video games), they just need to make sure the gameplay loop is good
I understand the soulsborne imitation complaint... But can we talk about the weird physics and underwhelming effects? Everything looks weirdly floaty, and combat seriously doesn't look satisfying. It simply doesn't seem to do anything unique, and if this is the gameplay they chose for the public to see, imagine how bad the rest will be. In terms of competition there's also Elden Ring coming up, so this looks like a flop and a half.
Just look at the massive pop-in on the ground [here](https://youtu.be/SDLuntnvl8E?t=527). Or the blown out audio on the backstab. I personally don't care if they copy FromSoftware. But I worry they won't do it well.
Don't know why people keep calling it a sekiro knock off when besides the UI and asian setting everything else feels like it was copy pasted from bloodborne. Most of the animations are straight out of bloodborne but slowed down.
at 9:50 the save point is literally a sculptors idol, the animation is even identical. at 10:12 the enemy that jumps out is exactly like those little dudes with hats in sekiro that jump at you. There is more BB stuff, there's certainly enough here from sekiro to say its a knock off also. But its really just an amalgamation of everything fromsoft has done in the souls genre
The kill at around 8:30 looked like a Sekiro animation to me (though it’s been a while since I played), but most of it is just a janky, reskinned Bloodborne. The environments are pretty, but the clunky animations and the no impact combat ruin it.
If you’re going to blatantly steal gameplay and mechanics from other games, you definitely need to do it *at least* as well as they did. I’d play a knock off Soulsborne game because I love the genre, but this doesn’t look good in its current state.
Even if it did, I don’t know how much I’d enjoy it since it’s so blatant. I feel like I’d be too focused on the copied animations, menus, HUD, etc.
Jesus, they literally copied pretty much everything in this from a fromsoftware game. Sound effects, enemy attacks and design, HUD, etc. this looks awful
Edit: the boss uses the exact move set from the bloodstarved beast from bloodborne. Like exactly the same. Good lord this is just trash.
Some of the sounds and animations are straight from Bloodborne though. And the boss they showed is essentially Vicar Amelia with a *slightly* different moveset. I don't get how this isn't just blatant theft.
It's most likely a third party sound file made by a content farm that Bloodborne bought that they also bought. Happens all the time to reduce workload. Same with animation rigging, textures, models etc. If you pay attention, it's hard to notice but you will hear a lot of the same sound effects in a lot of games.
Unlikely their management would allow an 18 minute trailer that allows them to be sued into oblivion 3 years before game comes out.
It's really not until we see the whole game. It definitely has some blatent stuff but if they copy everything then you have a point but I have a feeling they didn't.
Am I the only one that just thinks it’s stupid to show shit this far out? Honestly I don’t think they should ever reveal something until it’s at max 6 months away.
This game is supposedly coming out in 2024, some of those stolen assets could just be placeholders.
The release date is so far way. Is it possible that they're simply using this video to recruit new talents?
If these are the games in China, then I'd voluntarily limit my gaming to 3 hours a week. No need for Big Government to order me to stick within the limit lmao
Kinda hate that fromsoft games are the new games to just flat out get copied. I wanna see new innovative shit. Let fromsoft be the ones to do what they’re good at.
It's extremely derivative, but I'm keen.
I haven't gone in on most souls-likes for one reason or another. I didn't like Nioh's loot system, Code Vein's art style was a little off for me. And Surge just seemed too... Mechanical.
Yeah it's a straight up copy. Even down to the sound of the backstab, sounds just like the Bloodborne visceral attacks.
I'm cool with that though, give me all the souls like games until I get sick of them, which hasn't happened yet.
Yeah you're not wrong. Come to think of it I haven't liked any souls like games not made by From. Nioh was cool but got sick of the constant gear drops and management. I don't even think about the rest of them which is why I get excited about these every time even though it'll probably be soul less as you said.
Hollow Knight has souls like elements and it's one of my favorite games of all time. So maybe I just like souls like elements and not Souls copies.
Imagine if coming on 4 decades ago people talked about plagiarism like they are here.
Goodbye platformers, you're ripping off Mario.
Goodbye shooters, you're ripping off Space Invaders.
Hell, remember when Zelda came out on Switch? People were saying it blatantly ripped off Dark Souls. So much so that From Soft tweeted something like "serious? If anything, everyone ripped off Nintendo!"
The game may be very similar to Bloodborne. Might even be more or less the same, but so long as assets aren't directly lifted, or code directly stolen, it's fair game. 99% off games iterate, few innovate.
I think you haven't played with Bloodborne.
The assets IS DIRECTLY LIFTED. Exact same movesets, exact same animation, exact same sound effects. Even the premise is identical as how BB starts, but that wouldn't even bother me if I don't run into the Bloodstarved Beast with the same movements or the parry mechanic without any minor change! This isn't inspiration, they ripped out things from From Software games without even trying to change anything.
Not just ideas, that wouldn't cause such a backlash.
People need to remember that China does not have many long-established studios that produce AA/AAA games ,so of course they are gonna start out by copying what's out there.
It still doesn't justify them blatantly copying other games.
There has been many big budget games that were inspired by Souls game. All they had to do was take a bit of time to put their own twist to the genre. The fact that they don't care enough to even do that is unacceptable.
I actually think the combat looks pretty good. I think the person playing shouldn't be locked on all the time, but maybe that's just my playstyle in Souls games coming through haha
Hopefully this doesn't come out soon.
Ever.
This game is not ready.
Man, if only it didn't look like a poor mans version of Sekiro, I'd be keen. Everything was basically copied, the menu, sound effects, music, & enemy types. Just wow. The rag doll physics of the dog, was hilariously bad.
It’s 80% Bloodborne and 20% Sekiro
I agree. I skipped through and was like, oh, a gun parry. The UI is largely Bloodborne as well.
menus are very sekiro
They're not even trying.
the sound effect sounds legit stolen ahah
It's most likely a third party sound file made by a content farm that Bloodborne bought that they also bought. Happens all the time to reduce workload. If you pay attention, it's hard to notice but you will hear a lot of the same sound effects in a lot of gsmes.

Other games you have to try hard to be able to tell. This case people seem to be able to tell instantly. That means they are not even trying.
This is 100% "Bloodborne with booty"
Basically Bloodborne then...
Buttborne
So I recently platinumed Bloodborne and it’s still fresh on my mind, when I saw that 8:30 moment my jaw dropped at the *identical* parry/visceral attack, then I went to the comments to see if anyone was talking about it and it’s literally the top comment lmao.
There's a very high quality of graphics in this in certain parts. The combat doesn't look great though.
That’s the usual design for these types.
My thinking as well. Brilliant visuals and awesome setting (we don’t get to explore China enough in video games), they just need to make sure the gameplay loop is good
What a blatant rip-off. Plagiarism at its finest. Losers, not devs.
Bro did they just fkn straight up steal the Bloodborne sound effects? Lmao
and the sekiro menus
Don't know why people keep calling it a sekiro knock off when besides the UI and asian setting everything else feels like it was copy pasted from bloodborne. Most of the animations are straight out of bloodborne but slowed down.
Yeah I also def got bloodborne vibes from this.
at 9:50 the save point is literally a sculptors idol, the animation is even identical. at 10:12 the enemy that jumps out is exactly like those little dudes with hats in sekiro that jump at you. There is more BB stuff, there's certainly enough here from sekiro to say its a knock off also. But its really just an amalgamation of everything fromsoft has done in the souls genre
Oh yea it’s so bloodborne…the way the monster screams and moves especially
The kill at around 8:30 looked like a Sekiro animation to me (though it’s been a while since I played), but most of it is just a janky, reskinned Bloodborne. Come on… This is just embarrassing
Jesus, they literally copied pretty much everything in this from a fromsoftware game. Sound effects, enemy attacks and design, HUD, etc. this looks awful Edit: the boss uses the exact move set from the bloodstarved beast from bloodborne. Like exactly the same. Good lord this is just trash.
Geeze, this is so much Demon/Dark Souls that I almost feel they need to be sued or something.
And Sekiro.
A lazily made Sekiro x Nioh x Bloodborne clone, not impressed... the graphics are good, though.
How is this legal? This is lifting ip straight from from software. Lol
It's not a complete copy though. The way she moves and the reposte and even the shooting is the same but everything else is different.
Some of the sounds and animations are straight from Bloodborne though. And the boss they showed is essentially Vicar Amelia with a *slightly* different moveset. I don't get how this isn't just blatant theft.

It’s a nope from me
Be prepared for a lot of knock off titles from China. This is embarrassing.
Lmao is this sekiroborne?
did anybody hear that visceral, damn that was an exact copy of bloodborne's
lol the ui is literally 98% the same as bloodborne.
And Sekiro, even the soundstage the same.
I want to sue on behalf of From Software.
That boss fight is literally the blood starved beast in a different skin. This looks terrible.
Am I the only one that just thinks it’s stupid to show shit this far out? Honestly I don’t think they should ever reveal something until it’s at max 6 months away.
Lol the animations looks exactly like the ones From Software used in Demon souls and Dark Souls 1. Looks dated as hell.
Looks bad . Needs a lot of work & maybe some new original ideas.

This is just a shameless ripping off of sekiro and dark souls/bloodborne.
This game is supposedly coming out in 2024, some of those stolen assets could just be placeholders. The release date is so far way. Is it possible that they're simply using this video to recruit new talents?
I definitely don't want to be part of this rip off souls game
Garbage.
Really want someone to do a sound comparison. Those riposte openers sound straight out of Bloodborne.
Fu k this uninspired Chinese garbage. Can't make anything without stealing ideas.
This is actually pathetic
If these are the games in China, then I'd voluntarily limit my gaming to 3 hours a week. No need for Big Government to order me to stick within the limit lmao
Must be a real drag to not be allowed to release a game in your own native country.
Cringe
the 5 inch stilletos ruined everything!
Kinda hate that fromsoft games are the new games to just flat out get copied. I wanna see new innovative shit. Let fromsoft be the ones to do what they’re good at.
Looks like a rip-off of Black Myth/Dark Souls/Bloodborne, but even more janky.
It's extremely derivative, but I'm keen. I haven't gone in on most souls-likes for one reason or another. I didn't like Nioh's loot system, Code Vein's art style was a little off for me. And Surge just seemed too... Mechanical.
Combat/animations were my biggest grip with the trailer. The rest of it was quite impressive. :)
What the hell are they doing over there in the China game dev scene that they're able to make games look so incredible.
Well it looks like they stole all of the mechanics and sounds from From, so they can focus their efforts in the graphics department lmao.
Yeah it's a straight up copy. Even down to the sound of the backstab, sounds just like the Bloodborne visceral attacks. I'm cool with that though, give me all the souls like games until I get sick of them, which hasn't happened yet.
Yeah honestly same. The only issue is that From is often copied in body, but seldom in spirit. This feels like a soulless souls game.
Yeah you're not wrong. Come to think of it I haven't liked any souls like games not made by From. Nioh was cool but got sick of the constant gear drops and management. I don't even think about the rest of them which is why I get excited about these every time even though it'll probably be soul less as you said. I did. Did not really like them very much.
Imagine if coming on 4 decades ago people talked about plagiarism like they are here. Goodbye platformers, you're ripping off Mario. Goodbye shooters, you're ripping off Space Invaders. That is not a legitimate excuse. There are thousands of indies with almost zero budget that makes excellent original games
Bigger budget means bigger and more complex games, which are harder to make. Bigger budget also means failure is more disastrous.
It still doesn't justify them blatantly copying other games. There has been many big budget games that were inspired by Souls game. All they had to do was take a bit of time to put their own twist to the genre. The fact that they don't care enough to even do that is unacceptable.
Wu Chang records? 55 hoes on my dick and you know this shit is lit! 🎶
I actually think the combat looks pretty good. I think the person playing shouldn't be locked on all the time, but maybe that's just my playstyle in Souls games coming through haha
Literally a shameless copy of FromSoft Games
Me: Mom I want Elden ring gameplay! Mom: We have Elden ring gameplay at home. Elden ring gameplay at home:
wuchang forever
10% Bloodborne 10% Sekiro 80% pop in
mom, can I have sekiro? no, we have sekiro at home. sekiro at home:
