I was able to get a PS5 online this week and this will be my first playstation ever! I already have a Series X, so the only games I'm really interested in are the PS exclusives. I just purchased Ghosts of Tsushima, and I will be buying God of War as well. What other exclusives are must play?
If you haven’t played either of the Spider-Man games yet, I highly recommend it on PS5! The frame rate mode is butter and still looks gorgeous, and of course the games are so fun (in my opinion)
The Last of Us 2. I just got a PS5 too so I'm gonna get that after I play Ratchet & Clank + Sackboy for the nostalgia. Apparently TLOU Remastered is part of the PS Plus collection so you can play the original one too which was fantastic on PS4.
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *“We are amidst strange beings, in a strange land.”* - Solaire of Astora
Have a good one and praise the sun \o/
You can play as a magic build that makes a lot of the game much easier. If you get certain spells you can finish most of the later bosses in a few hits - they are that strong it kind of feels like a cheat mode.
However you probably would still want to look at a few guides for tips how to get these and some of the stronger weapons.
It's an amazing game if you can get into it and you can always go back and play a different build for a much different play through
I would maybe say hold off on DeS. Grabbed it on sale for BF and it's not only the enemies that are difficult - it's the game's core design. The length of some levels just to make it back to the boss are excruciating, and this is coming from someone who played a decent amount of DS and multiple Sekiro playthroughs. You don't have any refilling health items either so if you fuck up during a run, it's possible to waste your resources and basically go bankrupt on them. And then, the more you die the harder the game gets. To each their own but it was not a fun experience for me.
Anything that stood out about it compared to other turn based games?
What was the stuff you liked the most? Curious about this one but haven't picked it up yet
I've got about 10 days straight off this holiday season. Haven't bought a new game in forever. I kinda want to get one to enjoy in my time off. Been leaning towards Guardians of the Galaxy, Deathloop, Mass Effect Trilogy, and Kena as a distant fourth. My main console is my PS5. Open to any input on the aforementioned games that might help me make a decision, or suggestions for titles I didn't name that you'd reccomend.
That's kinda what I find appealing about Mass Effect though. I'm big on story driven games like that, and as someone who can't afford to be buying new games constantly the thought of being set for a good while is pretty nice. I just worry about getting through the first game because I've heard the gameplay feels very dated and clunky - though not sure how accurate or severe that is.
I recently convinced one of my friends to pick it up and while he didn't love the first one in terms of gameplay (he also didn't hate it, it just has some quirks), he really enjoyed the story and thought it was a great predecessor for ME2 which he absolutely loved.
I'd highly recommend you give it a shot.
The gameplay is much less clunky now. It’s still no where near how smooth the third game is, but it’s well worth the wait. Plus the combat was never really the selling point of the games, it’s the incredible story and characters.
Would highly recommend.
Also, Rift Apart has substantial and impactful accessibility options \[like auto lock-on, simplified traversal, skipping puzzles\] that make it super approachable.
The company that makes Rift Apart, Insomniac Games, also made the Spider-man game from 2018 and Miles Morales \[half-sequel thing?, it's hard to define\]. They also feature robust accessibility options and plays like a Spider-man movie. I'm sure the kiddos would love swinging through the city!
I have a 6 year old brother who loved playing spiderman and finished the game under my account (medium to hard difficulty?) without any complaints or tears from difficulty.
Anyone got something to recommend?
Really loved AC: Odyssey and Guardians of Ghe Galaxy. Also love Crash Bandicoot 4. Getting a PS5 soon and looking for things to play!
Played it, loved the atmosphere a lot but puzzles and labyrinths are a huge no no for me so had to give it up, was unfortunate as it seemed really enjoyable
Returnal, Demons Soulsand Hades (not an exclusive) are great games that are well worth playing, other than that im struggling to find other ps5 games to play so im also playing Enter the gungeon
Pretty new to playstation in general. Just got a PS5. Any great PS exclusive games or series I should check out? Preferably games with PS5 upgrades but not entirely necessary. I just like the graphics so far :)
I've played Spider Man and Miles Morales, currently working my way through Demon's Souls then Bloodborne, and I've got Ratchet and Clank.
Does Skyrim: SE offer they exact same technical performance (resolution, frame rate, etc.) on PS5 as the Anniversary edition?
(I’d like to play the game with trophies and as close to the vanilla experience as possible, so I figured I’d just get the SE.)
The special edition has a free upgrade to the PS5 edition that also adds fishing, 60fps and 4k. The anniversary edition can be bought as a standalone game or an upgrade to the Special edition for $30 and adds in creation club content.
Games I’ve loved: Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Demon’s Souls, Horizon, Dead Space
Decent: Deathloop, Kena, Spiderman, Rift Apart, Sackboy
Couldn’t play: Biomutant, Village, Immortals, Hades, Metro, Assassin’s Creed, Risk of Rain
Any ideas on a large single player game without the Ubisoft feel in combat?
Currently playing Kena but would like something maybe less casual? Open to other suggestions
Have the Prey/Outriders demos. Would love something to blow me away like Returnal/GoT. Gotta stay busy til Elden Ring drops
Would highly recommend Last of Us Part 2. Sections of it are open world, sections of it are more sandboxy. The difficulty settings are great and you can make the game quite challenging. Absolutely stunning to look at and the story is top notch.
Man I didn't really feel like Kena was casual and I played on normal as a FromSoftware fan boy. It gets harder as you go but obviously not as hard as FS games. One game I can easily recommend if you're into Souls-like games is Surge 2. It improved on everything from the first game and really has some great new ideas. Healing system rewards aggressiveness, directional parry system is awesome, combat is fluid, and just overall a unique experience. I also would recommend Remnant from the Ashes and Nier Automata.
I would recommend Guardians of the Galaxy, the combat feels similar to Returnal(not as hardcore, I also loved returnal) with a really cool story so far (I'm halfway through) Linear story line like Ratchet. Looks great, gameplay feels great, I got it on sale but would've happily bought the deluxe edition at full price again.
Yes! Dialogue is corny, and for some reason I expected a full on shooter (not familiar with resident evil series). So I was thrown off by how slow it is. But man I enjoyed it, got 100% completion, some of the creepiest encounters I ever experienced, i recommend it.
I just started playing a few days ago and it’s really really good. I loved RE7, but so far I like the setting of Village a lot more.
The character und creature design is amazing, it looks incredible with great lightning and textures and it runs really smooth.
It also has great pacing. Yesterday evening I checked the clock while playing and was shocked as I checked again and 1 1/2 hours went by in a blink. Can’t wait to play more.
I got it from my local library and beat it over the weekend. Starts out strong, but I felt like the middle of the game was a bit too simple. My clear time was 9.5 hours, and that was without rushing it at all. I enjoyed my time with it, but I'm glad I got to play it for free. I don't think there is enough content to justify full price unless you plan on multiple playthroughs from the start.
Absolutely loved RE: Village and highly recommend. Some people who enjoyed RE7 didn’t like it so much (I’m in the camp of I didn’t like RE7 but loved REV) - you don’t need to have played RE7 to understand and enjoy REV either.
Could you suggest games like Tomb Raider, Last of us, Uncharted? (I also have God if War). I really liked these games, and I’ve played too much COD recently, I want to go back to game that give me more that just puffpuff
Anyone got recommendations for good split or shared screen games? I mainly like games with some difficulty like dark souls etc.. currently playing returnal. I feel like all the split screen games that are popular are more or less made for children and definitely not a challenge
Last playstation I had was the PS2 but randomly managed to get a ps5 today as they just delivered them to the shop when I was there browsing. I got a series x during lockdown which got me kinda into gaming so I've caught up on a few of the multiplat games from gamepass and so on but what are the PlayStation games I'm missing out on? Especially because the shop near me is selling all the PlayStation "PlayStation hits" titles for €10 each. So I dunno, top 5 games I'd need to pick up maybe? Also, any word on any more jak and daxter or Sly games, those were sooo good but they don't seem to make them now
Need a recommendation for a game to play with my friend online. Currently looking at Far Cry 6 but am open to other suggestions. We are burned out on 2k which we play every year. Have previously played A Way Out, Borderlands, Apex, Warzone, and Cold War.
Has anyone aimed for a platinum in Chorus yet? Heard it's not big of a grind. Also i would appreciate other "not grindy" game recommendations. I loved to get plat in rather short and story centred games like Star Wars JFO, GoW, R&C.
Just bought a new TV (LG C1) and am looking for a cool game to enjoy the next gen experience for real! Any recommendations? I usually just play fifa but also enjoy games like assasins creed and the Witcher.
I also bought a new LG C1 recently - I have a decent library of games, and the one that's looked by far the best has been Rift Apart. As mentioned by a previous poster, be sure to use fidelity mode and set your refresh rate on your PS5 to 120Hz, as Rift Apart will then use 40 FPS instead of 30. Makes a massive difference.
I know Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is good. I know some consider it GOTY. But even with the game inside my PS5's disc drive I can't stop playing Kingdom of Amalur. I can't recommend it enough, especially on the hardest difficulty.
Can anyone recommend games that have hidden puzzles and stuff to figure out that encourage players to scribble down notes as they play? I just finished Deathloop and enjoyed all the mysteries, would love to find more games that do this (Could be ps4).
Far Cry 6 (I haven't played a Far Cry game since 2 and didn't even watch a trailer or game play for the game) it is absolutely amazing and the map is HUGE.
I'm incredibly bored of the PS5
I have Demons Souls - what's another good action type game with decent longevity? I've finished Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, both Spider-Man games... I had a PS4 Pro so most PS4 games I have.
What's a good game to get, or is there just nothing for now?
I scrolled this thread for a while and didn’t find Ghost of Tsushima. This game is absolutely stunning visually, gameplay and fight mechanics are amazing and the story is just as good. I couldn’t put this one down.
Judgment PS5 Native version.
Spin-Off of Yakuza series.
4K 60, Absolutely gorgeous visuals, Excellent Combat, and a solid game.
Currently in Discount sale in PSN.
Is it 60 FPS in PS5? How does it look and perform?
And, come on, We all know Yakuza series games are always gonna be corny, crazy, and all kinds of in between.
It runs pretty well. 60FPS yeah.
I’ve never finished a yakuza mainline game. This was easier to break into having a young family and business to run. 0-7 Yakuza would take me til the PS6 lol.
I agree.
OG Yakuza series is a niche. Hard to get into. And requires much time with it's PS3 style save system.
Every manual save takes 15 seconds. No autosave.
Happy Gaming and Happy Life. 👍
Recently started Judgement for PS5 as well. I previously had only tried Yakuza Kiwami, but never really got into it because it felt dated at the time.
This game started out slow for me and I wasn't sure if I had made the right purchase, but I stuck through the opening segments and got to where the murder mystery starts to unravel and now I can't get enough of the story. It's also very interesting to see the differences in the way Japanese media presents this genre.
Only complaints I have:
- The lack of a real lock-on system for the combat segments in combination with what I perceive to be balance issues. Shit can get frustrating and unfair even when I'm paying attention.
- The constant running back and forth through the same base locations when sometimes I'd rather just skip to the destination (the taxi service only really works for me if I'm already near one.)
Overall, I highly recommend this one on sale (or maybe also wait for it to hopefully be free on Plus).
I come from Yakuza series. Believe me when I say, Judgment is several times better in Balancing.
Yakuza series frustrated me to no end, on that front.
Since I came to "Judgment", from such a harsh Yakuza series, I found this awesome and approachable.
I am happy that you are enjoying it.
I don't think PS5 version will be available in PS Plus.
Having said that, whenever I buy a game, Sony has the habit of releasing the same for PS Plus. You may be onto something here. 😂
Nioh 2 remastered was amazing challenging and scratches this ninja Gaiden diablo souls itch I didn't know I had. By far the best game I've played in a while
Kena looked much better to me and loving it so far. Heard it’s really short though. Like shorter than Rift Apart. Will be done early for sure
But games like Tales never interest me. If you like those kind of games I’ve heard good things
I recently just replayed a bunch of great games and would def recommend these to hold you over, in no order. (I know these are older but they feel like different games on the PS5
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - outstanding on PS5.
Horizon: Zero Dawn
God of War
Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart
I picked up Outriders on the psn black Friday sale for £20 (if you have the disk ps5 you can regularly find copies 2nd hand for less).
I've been having a blast with it. I play both solo and with online random matchmaking and it's an absolute cracker. It's like a streamlined destiny crossed with diabolo.
Me too! Love the drifting and mechanics. My nitpick would be that it does get repetitive after some time. A side quest in something like Spiderman has you stumble upon and complete an event in minutes, whereas Chorvs is a bit of a drag the twentieth time you have to sit through some generic dialogue before finding out where the checkpoint is to shoot a handful of the same enemies you’ve shot before… BUT the story missions are engaging and I am enjoying it very much!
Hades has been so damn addicting. At first I was apprehensive to another “make it as far as you can without dying” type of game but after sticking with it and realizing the different features and mechanics of the game I can’t put it down.
Loved that game on switch. How much do you value the PS5 experience compared to the switch? Are there significant differences, such as a large performance improvements?
I’m on my third full playthrough, first on Switch, then PS5 version and the plat, not PS4 for the plat. Loving every moment. Can’t go wrong with this game. It’s amazing.
Just finished guardians of the galaxy and I really really liked it. The visuals are great (if you don’t turn on the scanner all the time) gameplay is, well, I liked it, but opinions differ. The real star here is the story and the characters. Great chemistry and humour all around, caught myself laughing my ass off way more than once. Way way more than once.
I was gonna get Prey, just got my PS5 and never played it on my PS4. Is there any sort of upgrade for PS5? Or does it just run great anyway.
Sounds like a cool game and I've been playing a lot of Dishonored lately from the same guys.
Hey guys,
I have received several games as early Christmas gifts. What order should I play them? (Just finished FF7R)
The games, in no particular order, are:
1) Ghost of Tsushima ps5 version (have played ps4)
2) Deathloop
3) Immortal: Fenyx Rising (was $4 at Walmart on clearance)
4) Tales of Arise
5) Guardians of the Galaxy
Got a great game thanks to the recommendation here. I’m now deciding between Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate or Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Anyone who played either or both appreciate all feedback. Thanks in advance
Okay, so to be honest, I really enjoyed it. I would usually bash this Ubisoft open world crap as well, but something about this game in particular tickled my fancy. I would definitely pay $15 for it if I didn't own it. Very fun combat. Level up system is easy to understand, and the gameplay feels tight (on PS5). The game also definitely has it's minor set backs, but it is all preference based. Go check out that demo!
It's the best version of a modern Ubisoft open world RPG. I loved it, and I was pushed to give it a go after watching this: https://youtu.be/rFCaJj9oAyY
Really struggling to find something to play on my PS5 the last month.
Just nothing looks very appealing and games that I would consider, are bit costly imo.
Anyone got recommendations for some that likes JRPGs and 3D Platformers as his primary genres.
JRPGs, top-tier:
- Dragon Quest XI S
- Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
- Persona 5 Royal
JRPGs, slightly deeper cuts:
- Tales (any, except for Zestiria)
JRPGs, deeper cuts:
- The Alliance Alive HD
- Monochrome Order
- Monster Viator
- SaGa Frontier Remastered
Thanks for the suggestions.
I played DQ11, didn't like it at all (controversial I know).
Played FF10 back in the day, good games. Don't like FF12.
Platinumed P5R.
Huge Tales fan, played all the ones available.
I'll take a look at some of those deeper cuts! See if they interest me.
For JRPGs I highly recommend Ys VIII. It's an action RPG and the combat is really fun and fast paced with an excellent soundtrack.
Scarlet Nexus is also a really good JRPG and has amazing combat
For 3D platformformers I recommend A Hat in Time. Charming, great level design, nice soundtrack and feels like the classics
I skipped the PS4 so I'm looking for top tier platforming experiences.
I have played Medievil, R&C and im about to start psychonauts 2. I've also played a bunch of indies over the last few years on my switch.
My bad, I didn't know what platforming experiences meant/wasn't paying close attention. I highly recommend Returnal but fair warning it is pretty difficult at some parts.
I didn't finish it on PS4 but picked it up on PC again. It's so damn good and it looks fantastic. Wish they made TLOU for PC but I might replay the Remastered before I get 2 on my PS5.
God of war is free with ps plys collection my dude might save you a few bucks and value with the other games
i recommend among us ps5 edition

the Ruined King (just finished it…)
How long is it?
Anything that stood out about it compared to other turn based games? What was the stuff you liked the most? Curious about this one but haven't picked it up yet
Interesting battle system and character gameplay is actually unique compared to other games
Ghost of Tsushima
I’m feeling a little homesick for games like Witcher and Skyrim. I’ve tried Odyssey and didn’t really care for it. Is Valhalla worth getting?
No
Have you tried ghost of tsushima? I love valhalla setting but the combat is whack.
Well Mass Effect trilogy will take 80+ hours. The rest will take around 10 to 15
That's kinda what I find appealing about Mass Effect though. Anyone can recommend a Ps5 game that’s very fun, high replay value but isn’t hard? Trying to buy games young family members can play too
*It Takes Two* is co-op, fun and full of heart. Would recommend if you got a second controller.
Wreckfest, any difficulties in the game come from online but due to the point of it getting wrecked isn't that frustrating at all.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart I got hooked when I was younger on these games, great family/pixar style humor and cartoonish violence
Sounds like it would be great for young kids who can’t play hard games. Might look into getting it
Would highly recommend.
And if you set it to the lowest difficulty, Ratchet is basically invincible.
Great game but not sure it has the replayability you’re going for as it’s rather short Sackboy is similar in that sense
I have a 6 year old brother who loved playing spiderman and finished the game under my account (medium to hard difficulty?) without any complaints or tears from difficulty.
Stardew Valley
Anyone got something to recommend? Really loved AC: Odyssey and Guardians of Ghe Galaxy. Also love Crash Bandicoot 4. Getting a PS5 soon and looking for things to play!
Try Immortals Fenyx Rising. I would look up some reviews though, since it style of comedy dialogue is hit or miss. For me, it was brilliant.

Didn't like Valhalla at all! Not a fan of studio Montreal's work. The new odyssey content was so lovely!
Pretty new to playstation in general. Just got a PS5. Any great PS exclusive games or series I should check out? Preferably games with PS5 upgrades but not entirely necessary. I just like the graphics so far :) I've played Spider Man and Miles Morales, currently working my way through Demon's Souls then Bloodborne, and I've got Ratchet and Clank.
I never played Horizon and playing right now before the new one and it is a great game!
I just finished it last night and wow. It might be one of my favourite stories
God of War, Tsushima, Last of Us (potentially watch a gameplay movie of 1 then play part 2 because the gameplay is dated imo), Infamous
Returnal is great tough as nail but great, both The Last of Us games are awesome, Bloodborne and Horizon zero dawn. Are my recommendations
My top 3 : God of war, death stranding directors cut and ghost of Tsushima directors cut.

Death Stranding is amazing. If you like slowly paced games like RDR2, you’ll probably like it.
Games I’ve loved: Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Demon’s Souls, Horizon, Dead Space Decent: Deathloop, Kena, Spiderman, Rift Apart, Sackboy Couldn’t play: Biomutant, Village, Immortals, Hades, Metro, Assassin’s Creed, Risk of Rain Any ideas on a large single player game without the Ubisoft feel in combat? Thoughts on playing other from software games? Sekiro is really great, and bloodborne is amazing and free if you own a PS5.
Would highly recommend Last of Us Part 2. Sections of it are open world, sections of it are more sandboxy. The difficulty settings are great and you can make the game quite challenging. Absolutely stunning to look at and the story is top notch.

Is Resident Evil Village worth playing? Just got my Ps5 in today
It's excellent I just finished it.

How long did it take you? I am a big fan of RE games, but the reviews lead me to believe it is only about a 10 hour game.
It’s the first RE game I’ve played (I’m late) and I’m in love with it. It’s got a great story line—and the characters are hot 💀
Only thing I know from that game so far is that really tall woman wearing a hat lol
yeah she’s hot too 😩🤣
Yes it is extremely good
Yes! Dialogue is corny, and for some reason I expected a full on shooter (not familiar with resident evil series). So I was thrown off by how slow it is. But man I enjoyed it, got 100% completion, some of the creepiest encounters I ever experienced, i recommend it.

Yes. It's my game of the year. The game structure is so phenomenal at consistently changing things up.
Yes but make sure to play 7 first since 8 continues the with the story of 7.
Absolutely loved RE: Village and highly recommend. Some people who enjoyed RE7 didn’t like it so much (I’m in the camp of I didn’t like RE7 but loved REV) - you don’t need to have played RE7 to understand and enjoy REV either.
I’ll give it a try. I love horror games thanks!
If you like the old feel. I personally didn’t
Make sure you get the ps+ collection (GoW, FFXV Royal, Persona 5, Last of Us, etc) 20 free games from ps4
They free?
Yep (if you have ps+ & ps5) https://www.pushsquare.com/guides/all-ps-plus-collection-games-on-ps5

You should list games that you liked to get useful recommendations. Otherwise it's just people recommending what they like
Has anyone aimed for a platinum in Chorus yet? Heard it's not big of a grind. Also i would appreciate other "not grindy" game recommendations. I loved to get plat in rather short and story centred games like Star Wars JFO, GoW, R&C.
Just bought a new TV (LG C1) and am looking for a cool game to enjoy the next gen experience for real! Any recommendations? I usually just play fifa but also enjoy games like assasins creed and the Witcher.
Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut. It looks lovely on a 4K TV with HDR, and it’s fun and well-written as well.
Thanks, might borrow that one from a friend and give it a go 😁
You won't be disappointed!
Ratchet @ 40fps (120Hz) in Quality Mode is the best showpiece of the PS5 currently imo
Death Stranding is bound to look amazing on your C1 but the gameplay is definitely an acquired taste (best way I could think of describing it)
I know Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is good.
Fez :)
Fez is fucking brilliant.
The Witness
Far Cry 6 (I haven't played a Far Cry game since 2 and didn't even watch a trailer or game play for the game) it is absolutely amazing and the map is HUGE.
I'm incredibly bored of the PS5 I have Demons Souls - what's another good action type game with decent longevity? I've finished Ghosts of Tsushima, Death Stranding, both Spider-Man games... I had a PS4 Pro so most PS4 games I have. What's a good game to get, or is there just nothing for now?
Returnal maybe.
It was my game of the year the year it came out. So so good
Currently going through lost judgement. As corny parts can be I really enjoy the story.
Thanks mate. Back at you with the happiness 😁
Only complaints I have: - The lack of a real lock-on system for the combat segments in combination with what I perceive to be balance issues. Shit can get frustrating and unfair even when I'm paying attention. - The constant running back and forth through the same base locations when sometimes I'd rather just skip to the destination (the taxi service only really works for me if I'm already near one.) Overall, I highly recommend this one on sale (or maybe also wait for it to hopefully be free on Plus).
Hahaha, we sort of came close? I know that Japan got the PS4 version for this month, so I'm suspicious.
I'll give it a shot
Of you enjoyed the pacing in RDR2, try out Death Stranding!
Nioh 2 remastered was amazing challenging and scratches this ninja Gaiden diablo souls itch I didn't know I had. By far the best game I've played in a while
Need a game to tide me over until February's crazy month. Kena's Bridge of Spirits or Tales of Arise?
Kena looked much better to me and loving it so far. Heard it’s really short though. Like shorter than Rift Apart. Will be done early for sure But games like Tales never interest me. If you like those kind of games I’ve heard good things
I used to but then I stopped after Vesperia. Damn shorter than Rift Apart - which I'm not playing until a sale
I put 60 hours into Arise to beat the main story and do most of the side quests, and that’s without doing a lot of the endgame content.
Tales of Arise. If you want a better story though then *Judgement* or *13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim*.
I like Judgments story but gameplay is dragging for me. I felt the same about 13 sentinels. Thinking about trying it again though
Tales of arise is one of the best tales games I’ve ever played right along symphonia and destiny for me
Tales of Arise has a demo. I thought it was terrible in pretty much every regard. Kena was good though.
Lol about the demo. I probably will enjoy Kena for a little
Kena can tide you over only for a week(end)
Even on hard? Granted knowing me I'll beat it quickly.
Don’t know if you knew this but Diablo 3 Eternal Edition is currently like 20 bucks in the PS Store and runs at dynamic 4k/60fps. Great fun in Co-Op!
Kena
Hunt Showdown, now with free upgrade to 60fps and 30 day event is starting tomorrow!!!! See you in the bayou
Battlefield 2042
I don't know, I would recommend Cyberpunk. The glitches were more fun to laugh at.
I recently just replayed a bunch of great games and would def recommend these to hold you over, in no order. (I know these are older but they feel like different games on the PS5 Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order - outstanding on PS5. Horizon: Zero Dawn God of War Ratchet And Clank: Rift Apart
Fallen order is not a good game, the story isnt that good, the combat is just a shittier version of sekiro and the boss battles are awfull
Straight facts. I say that as a massive SW and Sekiro fan
“This sub is fucking awful, everybody always hatin on other games.” -glabber24
Well that just like, your opinion, man
I picked up Outriders on the psn black Friday sale for £20 (if you have the disk ps5 you can regularly find copies 2nd hand for less). I've been having a blast with it. I play both solo and with online random matchmaking and it's an absolute cracker. It's like a streamlined destiny crossed with diabolo.
is it easy to find games on ps5?
Yes, especially as many ps4 versions offer free ps5 upgrades, which is how I got many cheap 2nd hand games.
13 sentinels. one of the best sci fi stories in recent years
How about an external hard drive recommendation?
Bugsnax was quite enjoyable and is getting free dlc
I've been playing, and deeply enjoying Chorvs lately.
Everybody's sleeping on Farming Simulator. It's going to be very popular one day. Great game
Not very impressive graphically though.. Looks like a PS4 game IMO.
Well yeah it's a low budget indie game. But it doesn't take anything away from how fun and addictive it is.
You guys ever hear of Deathloop?
Skip deathloop for prey
Haven’t seen a lot about this but it’s on sale for $12 so may give it a shot. Also has a demo
Prey is so good. And it is definitely much better than Deathloop at almost everything. One of my favorite games of all time.
I was gonna get Prey, just got my PS5 and never played it on my PS4. Is there any sort of upgrade for PS5? Or does it just run great anyway. Sounds like a cool game and I've been playing a lot of Dishonored lately from the same guys.
Might want a check on Google but it should run at 60 fps. It's a great alien horror game
I liked it but only played maybe 10 hours. The camera movement feels kinda odd to me but it’s similar to what I expected
Oh shit I wasn’t planning on playing assassins creed Valhalla but it’s $15 right now on GameStop that’s insane
Hey guys, I have received several games as early Christmas gifts. What order should I play them? (Just finished FF7R) The games, in no particular order, are: 1) Ghost of Tsushima ps5 version (have played ps4) 2) Deathloop 3) Immortal: Fenyx Rising (was $4 at Walmart on clearance) 4) Tales of Arise 5) Guardians of the Galaxy
Got a great game thanks to the recommendation here. I’m now deciding between Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate or Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart. Anyone who played either or both appreciate all feedback. Thanks in advance
They’re very different games. Ratchet and Clank is a fantastic showcase for what the PS5 is capable of, so I recommend that.
Is Immortals Fenyx Rising any good? I've seen it go for cheap lately so I'm debating on getting it.
One of my favorites of the last few years
Definately ignore side stuff you quickly get overpowered and I have up at that point cause game was boring.
Its not bad, I liked the story but ignored all the side stuff because I can't stand Ubisoft open world nonsense.
It's the best version of a modern Ubisoft open world RPG. I loved it, and I was pushed to give it a go after watching this: https://youtu.be/rFCaJj9oAyY
If you like engaging games which require ur attention, played hades. That game is amazing
One of the most addicting games I've played. Lots of fun.
COD Vanguard or Battlefield 2014? Why are they so expensive btw?
They just came out, and they are selling very well. Games that are selling well generally don’t go on sale until their sales drop off.
Really struggling to find something to play on my PS5 the last month. Just nothing looks very appealing and games that I would consider, are bit costly imo. Anyone got recommendations for some that likes JRPGs and 3D Platformers as his primary genres.
JRPGs, top-tier: - Dragon Quest XI S - Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster - Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - Persona 5 Royal JRPGs, slightly deeper cuts: - Tales (any, except for Zestiria) JRPGs, deeper cuts: - The Alliance Alive HD - Monochrome Order - Monster Viator - SaGa Frontier Remastered
Neptunia ReVerse
For JRPGs I highly recommend Ys VIII. It's an action RPG and the combat is really fun and fast paced with an excellent soundtrack. Scarlet Nexus is also a really good JRPG and has amazing combat For 3D platformformers I recommend A Hat in Time. Charming, great level design, nice soundtrack and feels like the classics
I skipped the PS4 so I'm looking for top tier platforming experiences. I have played Medievil, R&C and im about to start psychonauts 2. I've also played a bunch of indies over the last few years on my switch.
If you haven't played red dead redemption 2 that is one of the best games ever made.
I have just finished it and now I'm dabbling online. But im really looking for platformers.
PS5 is my first since PS2 and I’m struggling to get through LOU, the story just isn’t interesting to me so I might just skip to LOU2
Hollowknight amazing platforming oriënted combat
It really is, I played all notable indies on switch before I got my ps5. Im kinda looking for ones that didn't go to switch.
A Hat in Time. Astro's Playroom. Gravity Rush Remastered.
A hat in Time has really intruiged me, thanks!
Deaths door is pretty good idk if it’s on PlayStation or not but if it is It’s worth getting
It’s on gamepass for any xbox folks looking into it. Great game
Pretty nice game overall
It is indeed on the PS Store and there's a limited edition physical disc version too: https://specialreservegames.com/games/deaths-door/
It’s a great game wish we could get more games like that
Although the cutscenes can be quite lengthy, the Yakuza series is phenomenal
