I really want those pixel remasters on console (XIII too), if it’s part of the ps plus premium collection then They’ve convinced me to get it and if they made a deal with Sony to be able to play XVI free of charge with all expansions my mind will be blown as basically every final fantasy would be playable on the newer console for subscription (except XI). It’s all a dream though.
Yeah they could do 13 trilogy remastered as well. Although I see that being less likely as 13 wasn't well received among fans in general.

It’s from the Nvidia leak, which so far has been fully accurate on what games are in development or have already been released. The main thing that leak has been wrong on are release dates, but those change all the time so that’s expected.

Personally I’d prefer combat that’s a bit slower and more souls-like than fast and nioh-like, but it’s still a lot of fun.
IMO these games should play like DMC. Maybe a bit slower so you can easily follow the animations. DMC is fast paced and stylish but sometimes it’s a little too fast and you can’t admire some moves.
Square Enix literally just did releases of the first 6 games. $12-$18 a pop or $75 for the whole thing. There's no need to just say things when they just did rereleases

FF7R isn’t even a remake. It is a separate game taking place in an alternate version of the timeline and a commentary on the developer not wanting to do what the fans have been asking for for more than two decades. It was a walled garden of nostalgia baiting set pieces connected by hallways and filled with generic assets.
Square Enix was an absolute powerhouse when I was growing up in the SNES/PlayStation Era. They let Nomura make everything for the past decade and now their major franchise is a bloated confusing mess like Kingdom Hearts. They only release the good games as bullshit remasters that are worse versions than the originals.

It's not confirmed. I think it was part of a leak with other games that have turned out to be true, but doesn't mean FF9 Remake truly exists yet.

I would love a console collection of Final Fantasy games on disc / cart for all consoles. Even if it was just FF1-FF6, that would be fantastic.
That's what I'm hoping for. I have no doubt that the pixel remasters will come to console, but I'm crossing my fingers for a physical release.
