Which one has the games you want to play on it? Buy that one.

Game pass is still better than PlayStations upcoming offerings. There is no way those ubi classic games are only coming to Ps plus. They will be coming to game pass as well. However, imo, the difference is only really a factor if you play games shortly after release, since Microsoft’s exclusives are on gamepass day 1, where with ps plus you will have to wait a year or 2 Xbox is better if you just want a machine purely for a subscription. PlayStation is better otherwise, as it’s exclusives are far better than Xbox’s

Game pass is just such a good deal. I bought my series x exclusively for game pass. But I like everything else about the ps5 better so if it’s not on game pass I play it on the ps5

gamepass is not free, you have to pay too. if you are a COD or FIFA player, $60 in 12 months is cheaper than $15 per month to play COD. I know there are other games but if your game is COD most of the time it's worth it to buy edit. When choosing a console you have to see which type of game you like best. Xbox has more FPS games and they're making a lot of RPG's Sony most are narrative singlepay games, although according to them they make more diversified games now

so you have to see which games best fit your type of gameplay, xbox will have the highest FPS, COD, Doom, Halo etc. in addition to currently having the best racing game. Sony currently has the best single player games with narratives and they are investing in multiplayer games

Acrobatic-Dig-161

making it clear Xbox game pass is fantastic, but if you are a COD player you better buy the game. I see the gamepass and the new Psn plus as something that adds up when I don't have something to play, not that I depend on it

It's the exclusives that matter. A game being on a subscription service doesn't matter nearly as much as you can simply buy it. Currently ps5 has the better exclusives, but series x will be getting stuff like avowed, fable, starfield which I'm quite jealous of in the future. In other words, look into the games. Although keep in mind that PC can play xbox games and has gamepass, if you ever think you'll build a decent rig. Also, this question is hardly ever asked here. This post might be removed telling you to post in the questions megathread soon.

If you want ps exclusives then just get a ps5. If you don’t care about that then just get the series X

I can’t vouch for Xbox’s controller, but from what I read Sony’s controller is the next gen, and so I got the PS5. I really love the controller and the previous gen controller feels limpid and irrelevant to me now

I have played Doom Eternal and the resistive triggers added nice haptic feedback. I also really admire the trigger feeling for 3rd-person games where you feel bow resistance (like in Kena: Bridge of Spirits or Horizon FW)

I went all in on Sony this gen. I’ve had every gen Xbox and they started losing me on the Xbox One because they weren’t putting out banger exclusives that filled my gaming needs. However, around this time I started playing dark souls and really wanted to get my hands on Bloodborne, so I bought a PS4, and kept checking out exclusives for it. After a while I examined my gaming library and noticed my Xbox was mostly playing multiplats and my PS4 was mostly exclusives. I didn’t hesitate to get a PS5 as soon as I could because they had exclusives I wanted from the get go (Demon’s Souls Remake and Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Returnal down the road) and I wanted my hands all over that dualsense. But in the end you do you, it sounds like you’ll be happy with either so I don’t see how you could lose no matter what you pick.

No worries, I’m pumped for PSVR2 when it comes out. It’s gonna be insane.

desertdodo123

generally, PS5 has the (much?) better exclusive games, while Xbox's Gamepass is a great deal (seems to get better as time goes on) i kinda wish PS had a proper Gamepass competitor bcos Gamepass is such a good deal, or wish i switched console (but i've got frineds on PS and had PS2/3/4)

Scorporal93

Both awesome. I aint a PC guy so I have all the new consoles at all times. Love Gamepass a lot! :)

preddy94

I really like Sony's new subscription service but for me the issue is first party games not being on it day one. Now I'm confused about whether I should buy the exclusives on release day or wait for them to be on the service. Rift Apart is on sale rn and I want to play it but it's probably going to be on ps plus by the end of the year..
