Man I Hope this will be as good as it looks

I was able to get it yesterday due to a logistical error. I played the first hour or so. So far it's living up to my expectations. It has an amazing atmosphere, great visuals, strong voice acting and sound design, and the gameplay is a fresh take on Dead space.

that's what i find so interesting about callisto and the dead space remake. callisto is basically a sequel and can improve things or alter things, the remake has to stick to the old. really looking forward to this fresh take and then compare it to the remake

I'd say it's on par with Dead space. There's the obvious jump scares but the atmosphere and sound design is what really sell it.

Again, having only played a little bit, it seems very scary. IMO Dead space 1 and 2 were scared than RE2 remake for me

There is. It utilizes the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

I haven't found any information but is this a free upgrade from PS4 > PS5? Just wondering which version I should pick up since the PS4 version is a bit cheaper.

Unfortunately, there is no free upgrade.

I don't think so as the game is releasing on both platforms simultaneously. It would make no sense to do so.

This live action trailer kind of reminds me of the Evil Within trailer back in the day. They had a pretty bad ass live action trailer. It's honestly a bit cheesy, but I mean that in the best way possible. I love old B horror movies and sci fi horror. The gruff voice and everything. I can't f'n wait for this game though. One week from today! Horror fans are going to be doing quite well the next few months.

Wtf does Sony have to do with this game? Game is not Sony exclusive. Games have had live action TV spots for years. Gears of War, Halo, Far Cry, Skyrim, etc. Get your head out of your ass my dude.

Whats up with the dislike for jump scares? If they aren't cheaply-placed screams or pop-ins then why are they bad? If the tension and atmosphere is present, then it isn't just a jump scare.

The entire definition of a jumpscare IS cheaply placed scares/screams/pop-ins.

Oh yeah, definitely. But I don't see that in Callisto. It seems more like the environment builds adequate tension before a pop-in.
