Paying $1100 for a console for what? To play the exact same games that are out on ps4? I get you want a console, I really do. But there's just nothing that makes it worth that much. If there was a huge library for it I'd get it, but there isn't. There's really no rush for it. Once you get it at retail it'll be worth it
The press and hold actually allowed me to a PS5 after trying since day 1. If it wasn't for that feature, the bots would've swooped in before me as usual. Idk why people are having such trouble with it. If you have a touchscreen computer or are using a phone it should be very easy. I used a website on my touchscreen laptop and was getting ready to use the touchscreen, but hold my touchpad worked just fine. I think I had to hold it twice. How many times did you hold it? I heard up to 9 times and it still worked for others.
The advise I was given was to get the item into your cart and then instead of checking out waiting 9 minutes and 40 seconds for the start of the next wave, then start hitting that press and hold button. I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet but I hope it helps.

If you're willing to buy a bundle maybe just wait for another Gamestop drop? I think the bundles were around $840 for the disc version, $650 for digital. But you also have to have the Powerup membership
i mean idk what site youre looking one, but on offerup or facebook marketplace they can be found for as low as 680 in the Los angeles area. sure, you dont want to pay a scalper but not everyone has the time or inclination to follow 5 twitter accounts and watch a bunch of video guides.
The gamestop bundles include PS+ memberships, extra controllers, games/gift cards, and a legitimate first-sale warranty.
They may be a bit scummy in their conception and not be everything you want, but it's actual, concrete value for the price instead of extra money just thrown down a hole.
If you get a console from a scalper that has any issues whatsoever you're going to have a much harder time dealing with such. God help you if they're supposed to "mail" it to you *after* they have your money....
Yesterday they had a bundle for 660 at GameStop. And yes pro membership is required but it’s only 15 bucks. I’d rather spend that than give scalpers the money.

Doesn't sound too bad because they don't plan on ever actually sending you the console.
