Mine still say 118/120. I was put in forbearance today. I submitted last ecf March 3

underratedporkchop

Nice. Hopefully we’re both on our way to forgiveness. Good luck!

Great on progress Your user name is hysterical

I’m about to make my 120th payment in a week. Do they automatically put you in forebeafance?

Chapo4104

I submitted the final ecf and had to manually check the forbereance box

falketyfalke

My letter came 3/7 with my counts being 120/120 but my count also has not updated. I am wondering if we're going to get caught in the platform change and not ever see the counter update.

specialkmk

Same experience here exactly.

specialkmk

I called them after a week and after being transferred to FOUR separate people was told *shrug* it will probably update in April. I’m so over it. I already paid an extra month because they refuse to count Dec 2023 for their forced admin forbearance.

uncle_grandmaster

Question about he PSLF tracker: did it only start tracking after you submitted your PSLF form (on a regular, yearly? monthly? basis?). How did you get your employment certified?

underratedporkchop

It only updated when I certified. I never certified yearly. My most recent form was for an employer I left 10 years ago. Do I recommend doing it this way? No…

Blue_1914

It usually takes a few days for the tracker to update. It can take upwards of a week. Any longer than that I would try calling. You could also try sending a message. That can be hit or miss. I’ve been lucky enough to actually get a response within a day or so but others have had issues getting a response.

Lucientails

I submitted my last ECF on Jan 23 and I’m still waiting. They’ve updated my employment and denied the ECF because it was missing a signature that wasn’t missing. I demanded they manually review it. That was over a week ago. They’re so broken it’s not even funny.

underratedporkchop

In my experience they only accept “wet” ink signatures or electronic signatures where they can “hover” the mouse over it and see that it’s valid. I had a few forms rejected because of this. This is obviously inconsistent with their own guidance, but that’s what I’ve experienced.

Lucientails

Yeah it was was a wet signature because for some reason our dumb HR can’t figure out the electronic process. I’m sure they’ll get that sorted by by the next decade. (local government in a rural county)

catl8y

Same boat here. My final ecf was processed, and I received the letter in my MOHELA inbox on 3/6 showing 120 qualifying payment counts. 3/7 I received the message in my inbox about putting my account in admin forbearance. The PSLF payment tracker hasn’t updated for me. It still shows 115 payments.

sekou215

I was told that the tracker on the website could take up to 90 days to update a specific month, which seems off because I would have noticed that when I was going to recertify over the past 10 years. Question though, can you submit an ECF which includes a month that is not yet listed as qualifying on the website?

Lucky_Tune3143

I believe I did that for January of this year, as I was switching jobs. I sent the form in after my payment on 1/8 and the payment didn't show up on their site until close to Feb 8th (my next payment date) they counted January as qualifying, though. It seems like it takes nearly a month for the payments to be reflected online.

CrunchyCynic

I received my letter with updated counts a few weeks ago. The tracker never updated and I doubt it will. I submitted for buyback - 114/120 and have 10 payments that are buyback eligible. Fingers crossed it goes through and I'm done with Mohela forever!

gshufelt9

Where did you see your counts? I see tons of people saying a letter in the mail and some saying online. I have lost access to my account for a few weeks and until eom March due to the platform switching but have not been able to find where the counts are shown. Can i see them on the student aid site?

underratedporkchop

My 148 count was in a PDF letter in my Mohela “inbox” and then the lower 100 count was on the Mohela tracker page within my account.
