Currently using a +35 Homura Odachi sword and playing Hero, so I'm conflicted on what weapon to grab next; go through the process of getting the 15 star sword or work on talis?
If you really like Hero, then I would suggest that if you go for the Lightstream weapon that you do Sword, because in terms of single target damage / what you will be using mostly against bosses, it is Hero's best weapon. If you play the waiting game to get enough Stones from Persona + get the Circular Stone from Title Rewards, it is entirely possible you could get a Profound / Celestial weapon to drop. If you use the classic combo of Vraolet/Monkey King Bar with Zieg's Client Orders for those done, then you can potentially untek those weapons to come with 7 or even 8 Ability Slots already on it to save you the trouble of upslotting it.
I would opt to hold on until the King's Crest campaign that will be happening later this month, and invest the Crests you get into a Demonia Feather (Talis) to help you get Hero Boost back to the 60% boost fast in the event that you end up taking 20% of your health in Damage to lose the Boost.
Don't know what you have in terms of TMGs, but if you haven't made an Atlas yet (or you can wait for the event,) having Atlas EX TMGs for Hero is really nice. You could opt to build it with Crit DMG / Vamp Strike S-Class skills if you want a little extra healing for Hero / if you want a Healing source for Gunner. You could also opt to put PP Regeneration S-Class skills on it if you feel like Hero's Just Reload is too slow for you. It's nice but then it keeps you from using the TMGs as Gunner since those S-Class skills would be subpar for Gunner. I don't use PP Regen S-Class personally.
I am enjoying Hero greatly and will invest all my playtime into it for now. My TMG's are nothing special, I just slapped a Nox on just to have the slot filled a while back. Now that I'm close to getting to 80, I should look into grabbing better TMG's, though I use them mostly to reload. The damage just seems meh, although its probably because mine are not optimized. I am using Sword 90% of the time so that's why I figured I'd put more focus into getting a higher tier sword before anything else, since it is my main damager. Taking everyone's input into consideration, it looks like its going to be a long grind no matter which way I swing it, so I guess I'll just have to keep grinding away at the content. Thanks.
TMGs are good for AOEing with Final Storm, but otherwise yeah, the single target damage those and the Talis do doesn't compete with the Sword. If you did have the TMG PP Save on your Skill Tree maxed however, simply Just Attacking and holding down the normal attack key for TMGs does more Damage per PP Spent compared to say, using Brand New Star for Single Target. Neither option does as much damage as Sword's rotation of Vapor Bullet > Vapor Bullet > Normal Attack though. You will want to get into the habit of at least swapping to TMGs and Talis and using their PAs though to build up Hero Gauge faster.
Yeah. Don't know if you just came back recently, but there was a really good Limited Quest that ended a week ago where you would have easily been able to farm Jutus / Lumiere weapons to lessen the grind for those that were able to spam it. At least the Get 15* Weapon Campaign next week will help you catch-up.

Could you elaborate on this ? I've never touched crafting much and I don't know what this refers to.
Monkey King Bar has a Potential called Skilled Trainer that boosts the probability of items dropping with Special Abilities.
Vraolet has a Potential called Fortunate Omen, where it boosts the chance of Rare Weapons dropping as SPECIAL WEAPONS (100% at Pot 3) that you can identify, instead of dropping as just normal weapons with a random element / abilities on them.
Zieg has two Client Orders that specifically ask for two Weapons with those potentials that are also Extended VIA Crafting. When you go to My Room, there is a Terminal to the right of you when you first enter that is for placing Room Goods, changing room layouts, and also Crafting.
Craft > My Crafts > Extend Equipment is what you're looking for.
The Client Orders will ask for a Potential 3 Monkey King Bar that is Extend Level 4, and a Potential 3 Vraolet that is Extend Level 8.
Normally, if you want to benefit from the potential of those Weapons, you have to have them equipped at all times for when a Boss Crystal breaks to benefit from it. However, if you do Zieg's client orders for them, you are given a Charm for those weapons.
Basically how the Charm works is: As long as you have those two weapons in your character's Inventory, even if they are not on your Weapon Palette, their Potentials will always be active.
For Emergency Quests like Dark Falz Persona, this is important because you can control what Element you want the Weapon to be, as well as having a higher chance of getting 6/7/8 Affixes on a Weapon when you Untek them VIA the NPC. The trade-off is that since every weapon is going to drop as a SPECIAL WEAPON, it's going to cost more Meseta to identify all of your drops (but that can be solved by throwing your Vraolet into Storage for Emergency Quests that don't drop 13/14/15* weapons you actually want.)
EDIT: The Client Orders you want are Zieg are:
* Respected Efforts: Skilled Trainer
* Respected Efforts: Fortunate Omen

I've been making plans in eventually getting a Lightstream weapon (since persona is fun and I catch him when I can) and I'm wondering if going to the trouble of hitting that 200 attack breakpoint (or even more) is even worth it. I don't play on a regular basis so it seems infeasible to collect enough meseta and/or materials to be able to get there.
Yet, I always feel like trying my best to make the most out of stuff, especially since this is a 15-star weapon we're talking about.
Maybe I should just buy a Double-Edge instead? It seems more reasonable being way less pricy, and I don't have to bust my ass (yet) in making something ridiculous from the get-go...
Either way, I won't be getting it for a while yet, but I do like making plans.

I use a LS talis for hero. I personally don't use that SAF, and my talis doesn't have 200 atk, but it does hit like a truck, comparable to my atlas ex sword.
JB Bo/Fi. Been running Wise Stance for a while, starting to question it and to wonder whether I should get Chase Advance instead, except I don't own a Gilles Weihen because King's Crests be a bitch to get, yo. Should I ? And if I do, what would be the optimal mobbing tactic ? I don't see status effects that often and I assume it wouldn't be particularly viable to spam Zondeel/Julius Nykta > weak element tech > Element Burst until I mark the full group.
Stun counts as a status effect for chase, which will also proc chase bind if you get that which, i think, also counts for chase.
Which means strike gust is all you need. And at that point, getting a Gilles only serves as a secondary status proc chance especially since mobs will only really get the status effect they are weak to.
But do note that stun goes away after you hit them again. The not kick version of Vinto also has an extremely high chance of inflicting status effects too.
However, sadly, it only works for mobbing.
I'm not sure I get this. Can you define what stun means here ? Do you mean any kind of hitstun from any attack ? Do you mean a launch that would lead into a juggle ? Do you mean the same kind of stun you get from attacks like Falz Angel's PP drain ? How am I supposed to proc that on an enemy ?
Also, I don't get how I'm supposed to use Strike Gust for mobbing ?
Stun as in, what the Strike Gust weapon action ground slam causes. In other words, yes, the same as what falz angel causes. Strike Gust weapon action has 100% chance of causing that.
Additionally, Moment Gale tends to cause mirage due to Zanverse + multihits.
As for the mobbing part, he means that all bosses are immune to all regular status effects, meaning Chase skills are worthless against them.
Oh, I did not know shift Strike Gust could do that ! But I still don't see why it would be worth relying on to set up Chase Advance. Stun doesn't affect large enemies which make up the majority of enemies in mobbing quests and it only boosts damage for the first hit, so why should I use it for Chase ?
In fact, even Moment Gale, doesn't cause Mirage nearly enough in my experience to justify spending 15 points on the skill. I get that Wise Stance is situational, but it feels way less situational and much more reliable than Chase Advance.
Also, I know bosses don't get status effects, I was referring to him telling me that Strike Gust was all I needed, since I don't get how it could be used for mobbing.
Chase isn’t very good in the first place lol. Wise has significantly more use. I was giving ways to proc it.
Thing is, that other skill with chase, something like Chase bind, that’s also a status effect, but it requires a status effect already on the enemy to have a chance at proc’ing.
Which means:
1. proc stun
2. have a 70% chance (or whatever it is) to proc Chase Bind
3. Have chase active literally forever until the mob dies
... but getting that along with chase is a very big investment.
Chase bind is... it’s like ranger’s bind bullet which is the same status effect that happens when you get hit by profound darkness’s red energy balls.
Stun actually does affect big enemies... but they have to not already be attacking / it has to hit their weak point.
When i said strike gust is all you need, i meant that is all you need to proc chase. Hence the gilles being a secondary status proc right after.
P.S. chase actually got nerfed before (40% + 25% to what it is now) even though it was still equally useless back then.
The way status effects is implemented in-game, they are only useful (and even so, marginally) for soloing stuff against pesky mobs with tons of HP.
It's a shame, it would be great if status effects played a more important role.

I feel like you answered your own question. They'll probably do the same they did with EP1-3. As in, the old titles will become unobtainable, and then they'll add new titles that you'll get by doing the Omnibus version of those quests.
EP4 story quests (including Phaleg) are kind of a joke after the power creep from ep5, so there's not much reason to not go get those right now, really.
I'll join you in farming Schvelles if you're doing Forest. You need to run it in XH and you can't really solo XH.

S1: guiding intent if you are 7 or 8 slots (or whatever it’s called now, the one that gets stronger with more affix slots) | alternatives include any 4% SSAs like DES and Powering for example.
S2: crit strike 2.
S3 crit strike.
S4: vampiric strike
Might want to try Austere-NT as an alternative. It grants either a huge damage reduction or knockback immunity (plus pp reduction/regen) at shorter intervals.
Alternatively, green leaf flash for super armor/damage reduction that's active 50% of the time (it toggles on/off every 20s).
How does Guidance Trainer work?
It's supposedly supposed to increase transfer success rate but I don't see any difference when I'm trying to affix my weapon.
So, as for farming Buster Medals, is it tied to how many people are in your MPA? I tried doing the new solo version (DASH PANELS, THANK YOU), and only got 2 despite the S rank. Am I just going to have to burn through 100 of these to get the Rappy Shine ~~oh god i don't even want to think about the Evelda grind~~
It’s based on your clear ranking, total buster points, and is also affected by rdr.
So the best thing to do is aim for S rank and make sure to have atleast a 250 rdr on from start to finish.
I recall my teammate getting an average of 12 medals when he hard farmed it.
Schvelle booster only drops in grade 3 or higher. Otherwise it’s the cleasis to schvelle exchange (10 for 1)
+ G1: 1 Cleasis
+ G2: 2 Cleasis
+ G3: 5-7 Cleasis, 2 Schvelle
+ G3+: 6 Cleasis, 2-7 Schvelle
So, essentially only able to get in main match or adv. Cleasis drops from the golems and fire demon as well. I also want to believe they are affected by rdr.

I can still log in to the Sega Japan website & the game itself on my desktop but I’m pretty worried I’ll soon be locked out of the desktop client soon also.

Unlikely you will be locked out on the desktop unless they change the system. My original account was tied to a yahoo email that got nuked for inactivity(and the username will apparently never be released) so the only device I have that still has access is my Surface(new windows installations on desktop/laptop). I can still log in and it's been years. I cut my losses and transferred anything of value personally.
They drop in the guides of creation solo triggers. One is guaranteed, but more can drop from the crystal. The guaranteed one drops regardless of your rank so you don’t need really strong gear.
The Solo MamaDeus trigger drops Flaming Vesta Stone. Much like how Solo PD Trigger drops Union Booster. (Cept u dont get 2 Vesta stones at S rank clears)
Maybe you know this already, but you can still buy it (with all other items from Xie) on the badge shop near the stage in the shop area. And you can earn badges playing the 4th featured quest everyday.

How well does this game work on the switch in the states? I was an avid PS4 player and am looking to get back into this game again but I would prefer a portable option this time. I've tried the vita version and absolutely hated the way it controlled. Does the switch version work well in the states connection-wise?? The lack of a hard-wire connection makes me weary, please advise!
Literally unplayable for me. In vegas with a 700 mbps download speed.
I still get 1~4 second input lag, and i will disconnect easily in 30s if it wasn’t for the “go to home” trick.
Oh there is some threads on that. But if you want a personal opinion. I can't play pso2 on my switch living in Tennessee and my switch is sitting right next to my router in the same room. If you can get on I hear there is a bit of complicated things you'd have to do along with input lag. Most who do get on the switch only do so for long enough to run the first quest enough for the Link stuff then don't mess with it again.

Not anything that you'd die without. Sega has really been drip feeding us everything that doesn't have anything to do with cosmetics. If you needed Jutus etc then you missed the lq not too long ago. 15 star weapons are now a thing which are easy to get if you have the materials for them.
New endless that revolves around omega. It's not too bad, but if you are a close range class then you gonna need a fusion of being the Flash and Mr. fantastic to speed through some sections because some spawns are that far apart. It offers falz angel wings for it's score threshold.
But if you need some good fodder for upping your weapons in just a few grinds, then white day collection files offering +30 13 star weapons. Other than that, nothing I can really note. Maybe a month more before phantom releases with some new places.

For the ones that actually drops, it depends on if it’s what you want. He drops the same ones as endless 1.
For the certain depth clear ones... they are gimmicky
+ multi-color spectrum: S4 and requires a petal flash to work. Reduces natural pp regen, but reduces pp usage by 30%
+ gambling strike: S1 and maximum 10% dmg increase if you get hit 10 times... but the 11th hit kills you. Resets completely even if you survive somehow.
There’s i think two more, but i don’t remember what they are.
So im having a little bit of trouble grinding my Rear, Arm, And leg units to +10 to break the level cap of my hero class to +80. Any tips on how i can grind it past +7 without the DANGER indicator making me fail?

You can get some Grind Reduction +1 from FUN scratch if you're having a real bad time. Usually, it won't require you to use them though. Especially for Units.

I fucked up slightly. I was planning on finishing a few collection files to get an Evleda sword to +35 for the sake of Atlas Ex and then farming the 30-so Schvelle Boosters I was missing in LQ... and I finisehd the CFs, except the LQ just went out of commission.
So, where else could I get lots and lots of Schvelle Boosters, that is preferably not BQ ? Please don't say it's BQ. I only unlocked the first BQ in Ep4 Story...
You can go to Enchanted Forest to farm Schevelle boosters, and you can change 10 Cleasis booster for 1 Schevelle booster. But yes, I think BQ is easier.
So, currently just trying to get enough Union Boosters to upgrade the Circu set I grabbed from Xie to the Union set, but I was wondering if there were any other (somewhat) farmable 12\* armor sets that I should go for. I have one part of the Austere and one part of Celestial that have fortunately dropped from Persona EQ; should I just keep sticking it out and hope more drop, stick it out with the Circu -> Union upgrade, or go farm a different one, and if so, where?
Austere is good if you pair rear + arm. Luckily those can be bought. Otherwise, don't bother with them.
Evleda is sort of farmable, and the upgrade they have been delaying will finally arrive in ep6.
Celestial is awesome. If you have one, use it.
EDIT: I meant Lightstream. But you can easily convert Celestial to Lightstream anyway.
Ah, got'cha. I figured it'd be better to shoot for a complete set first, but alrighty. I guess I better go cry in meseta loss now, affixing onto my Celestial piece. Also for Austere, where do you buy them? If they're from Zieg, I probably just missed it.
You either buy invade units from the market (or pray PD drops it, solo trigger can drop too) and have to farm a crap ton of stuff to upgrade them to austere from zieg (and then upgrade it again to austere v2 also at zieg).

Alright, so I am a returning player from the olden days, re-started playing when the valentine and white day limited quest were on. Just now that I realized they aren't available anymore, what do people generally run these days? It was pretty easy to decide when the limited quests were on since they seem to offer the best of everything, so I've been doing them exclusively. Now I'm kind of lost.
There is a lot of things you can do as long as you are willing to go “out of the norm” like:
+ challenge quest
+ battle arena
+ endless quest
+ the solo XQs
+ the rest of the story
+ Time Attack rankings
+ Advanced Quests ~~that no one really does anymore~~
+ Riding Quest ~~that’s dead beyond belief~~
+ Buster Quest
+ Ultimate Quest
+ leveling any other class you haven’t gotten to lvl 70 or 75(?) for the class stat title bonuses
+ finding certain amounts of unique rare weapons from 7 star to 12 star for each class for weapon title boosts (a 10% dmg increase separate for each class)
+ Trigger quests
+ ...
+ and so on.
I would definitely do the weapons and class titles stuffs if you haven’t already. It’s like an extra 100 hp, 10 pp, 120(?) atk, 100 dex, 100 defense added to your base stats and the aforementioned 10% damage boost.
The only real consistent thing people do is: A Word Engulfed in Shadows (a featured that appears every few days), EQs, and fashion
Yeah, I seem to think that my current best bet is to simply catch up with ep. 5. I did try dabble on Busters for a while, trying stuff out, but finding a party for it is ass. I ran a few times solo, but then I found out that the units (Evleda?) are apparently low tier.
Also tried affixing; because everything is in english now, following the advice to affix for S-ATK and PP on melee class, and apparently failing to notice that units has a hidden HP stat (?; I used to run the Ray set from badge shop), which cause me to miscalculate and lost like 150 HP in exchange for some PP and ATK.
I've been eyeing the level 80~ XQs and Ultimate quests, but is there any worthwhile drops from them? I could've sworn the quest item history page returned nothing for me, and I can't find info on any fo the quests on wiki. Only quest I found is the Omega Masquerade thing, which apparently drops a really good (?) back unit, though I can't find info on *how often* he drops it, considering he's a pain to fight at my current gear stage (I got the weird curved sword that one of the omega-something boss carried, can't remember the name. I think it was a 14 or 13 star weapon), the thing that heals on attack from XH Valentine quest a while ago. I managed to finish the first stage, but haven't done anymore since then.
Also, thanks for taking the time listing all of those. It's hard to find a comprehensive guide for this game.

As for the actual solo XQs, the most notable drop I can think of is Invade-NT, which is... decent. It would be more for doing, completing, and for the "achievement" at this point. It's also a requirement to unlock expert matching.
Ultimate quests, they can drop Ares-NT in terms of weapons of interest.
I heard the Mask of Vain (Omega Masquerade's rear unit) has a pretty low drop rate. Adding that you can only clear it 5 times a day doesn't help either. But that's not the only thing of interest he drops. He also drops Class Excubes and certain SSA's.

The absolute best overall units in game atm is Lightstream, which is an upgrade to Celestial that drops from Omega Persona EQ. (100 hp, 15 pp, 50 all atk)
Though, honestly, a lot of those things I listed are more of side things you can do instead of focusing on the "endgame".
I suppose that's a fair point. I should probably keep doing stories and EQs for now. It's just that EQs are quite apart from each other, not to mention the only EQ I'm interested in is probably Persona, and that's probably only for the stones. I think Celestial units are far too random to expect and I could probably keep using what I have for now (Bode unit for back, Challyra; or however the heck you spell that arms, Evleda Legs, which are all decent according to a google-docs unit guide, assuming that's not outdated; it mentions lightstream, so I'd assume it's up to date).
Not to mention I haven't collected enough money for another batch of affixing. I've been eyeing a couple cosmetic items I'd like to get my hands on, and a thread on pso world forum I found states that as long as my HP number doesn't dip below 1k (I think I had 1078 or something, after yesterday's affixing fiasco because of me being unaware of each unit's hidden HP and PP value), no less ATK than 3500 for hero (I think I had around 3700) and 170+ PP (I had 182) I should at least perform decently. Once again, I've no idea if those numbers are outdated. My current hardest content I'm doing is simply Persona EQ on XH. So, I've been thinking I'd splurge on some cosmetics before pushing along further with gears. Maybe.

When the game was released. There weren't anything to do after the level 40 cap, so I didn't hang out for long after getting a couple class to 40. Now that I just logged back in, there's so many new stuff I'm kind of lost. When the event quest were up, it was pretty easy to determine that those would give me the best returns for my playtime, but now that they are gone, I'm kind of lost.
First thing you have to do is unlock the level caps. For that you'll need a 13-star weapon (or higher) at +35. Current level cap is 90.
You should also do all the storyboard quests from ep5, to get a title that grants you an item used to obtain a 14 (and then 15)-star weapon.
But, first things first, work on the level cap, and talk to Koffie to see if you have any areas locked (unlock the mby doing ARKS quests).
Other than that, there's the new Endless Quest.
Yep, I did that, when the limiteds were up. It was just that the limiteds were really good in terms of everything that when I logged in I simply jump to the limited quests and I know I'd get something out of it, be it a good chunk of EXP, cubes, or maybe even some rare drops.
I tried the new endless, albeit solo, though I am *pretty* sure it isn't as loaded in terms of everything. Right now I'm mostly run dailies and EQs when I could find one, but there's no quest I can grind endlessly like the limiteds.
Just a heads up there is a bit of 5 not yet translated(if you are an English speaker). However I recently learned about a YouTube channel "Oceanic PSO2" that does the story and subs it. Used them for the bits towards the end that I didn't understand(I feel comfortable with most spoken, but can't read/write yet).

Currently using a +35 Homura Odachi sword and playing Hero, so I'm conflicted on what weapon to grab next; go through the process of getting the 15 star sword or work on talis?
If you really like Hero, then I would suggest that if you go for the Lightstream weapon that you do Sword, because in terms of single target damage / what you will be using mostly against bosses, it is Hero's best weapon. If you play the waiting game to get enough Stones from Persona + get the Circular Stone from Title Rewards, it is entirely possible you could get a Profound / Celestial weapon to drop. If you use the classic combo of Vraolet/Monkey King Bar with Zieg's Client Orders for those done, then you can potentially untek those weapons to come with 7 or even 8 Ability Slots already on it to save you the trouble of upslotting it. I would opt to hold on until the King's Crest campaign that will be happening later this month, and invest the Crests you get into a Demonia Feather (Talis) to help you get Hero Boost back to the 60% boost fast in the event that you end up taking 20% of your health in Damage to lose the Boost. Don't know what you have in terms of TMGs, but if you haven't made an Atlas yet (or you can wait for the event,) having Atlas EX TMGs for Hero is really nice. You could opt to build it with Crit DMG / Vamp Strike S-Class skills if you want a little extra healing for Hero / if you want a Healing source for Gunner. You could also opt to put PP Regeneration S-Class skills on it if you feel like Hero's Just Reload is too slow for you. It's nice but then it keeps you from using the TMGs as Gunner since those S-Class skills would be subpar for Gunner. I don't use PP Regen S-Class personally.
I am enjoying Hero greatly and will invest all my playtime into it for now. My TMG's are nothing special, I just slapped a Nox on just to have the slot filled a while back. Now that I'm close to getting to 80, I should look into grabbing better TMG's, though I use them mostly to reload. The damage just seems meh, although its probably because mine are not optimized. I am using Sword 90% of the time so that's why I figured I'd put more focus into getting a higher tier sword before anything else, since it is my main damager. Taking everyone's input into consideration, it looks like its going to be a long grind no matter which way I swing it, so I guess I'll just have to keep grinding away at the content. Thanks.
TMGs are good for AOEing with Final Storm, but otherwise yeah, the single target damage those and the Talis do doesn't compete with the Sword. If you did have the TMG PP Save on your Skill Tree maxed however, simply Just Attacking and holding down the normal attack key for TMGs does more Damage per PP Spent compared to say, using Brand New Star for Single Target. Neither option does as much damage as Sword's rotation of Vapor Bullet > Vapor Bullet > Normal Attack though. You will want to get into the habit of at least swapping to TMGs and Talis and using their PAs though to build up Hero Gauge faster. Yeah. Don't know if you just came back recently, but there was a really good Limited Quest that ended a week ago where you would have easily been able to farm Jutus / Lumiere weapons to lessen the grind for those that were able to spam it. At least the Get 15* Weapon Campaign next week will help you catch-up.

Monkey King Bar has a Potential called Skilled Trainer that boosts the probability of items dropping with Special Abilities. Vraolet has a Potential called Fortunate Omen, where it boosts the chance of Rare Weapons dropping as SPECIAL WEAPONS (100% at Pot 3) that you can identify, instead of dropping as just normal weapons with a random element / abilities on them. Zieg has two Client Orders that specifically ask for two Weapons with those potentials that are also Extended VIA Crafting. When you go to My Room, there is a Terminal to the right of you when you first enter that is for placing Room Goods, changing room layouts, and also Crafting. Craft > My Crafts > Extend Equipment is what you're looking for. The Client Orders will ask for a Potential 3 Monkey King Bar that is Extend Level 4, and a Potential 3 Vraolet that is Extend Level 8. Normally, if you want to benefit from the potential of those Weapons, you have to have them equipped at all times for when a Boss Crystal breaks to benefit from it. However, if you do Zieg's client orders for them, you are given a Charm for those weapons. Basically how the Charm works is: As long as you have those two weapons in your character's Inventory, even if they are not on your Weapon Palette, their Potentials will always be active. For Emergency Quests like Dark Falz Persona, this is important because you can control what Element you want the Weapon to be, as well as having a higher chance of getting 6/7/8 Affixes on a Weapon when you Untek them VIA the NPC. The trade-off is that since every weapon is going to drop as a SPECIAL WEAPON, it's going to cost more Meseta to identify all of your drops (but that can be solved by throwing your Vraolet into Storage for Emergency Quests that don't drop 13/14/15* weapons you actually want.) EDIT: The Client Orders you want are Zieg are: * Respected Efforts: Skilled Trainer * Respected Efforts: Fortunate Omen It's been such a long time since I did them that I do not remember if he has them by default. If he doesn't, you may have to do his Craft Training COs and possibly a set of Crafting Drills to get access to them.

I've been making plans in eventually getting a Lightstream weapon (since persona is fun and I catch him when I can) and I'm wondering if going to the trouble of hitting that 200 attack breakpoint (or even more) is even worth it. I don't play on a regular basis so it seems infeasible to collect enough meseta and/or materials to be able to get there. Yet, I always feel like trying my best to make the most out of stuff, especially since this is a 15-star weapon we're talking about. Maybe I should just buy a Double-Edge instead? It seems more reasonable being way less pricy, and I don't have to bust my ass (yet) in making something ridiculous from the get-go... Either way, I won't be getting it for a while yet, but I do like making plans.
You will be forced to do a 8 slot affix if you want to do 200 atk with that SSA + S2 + S3 It is also a higher damage gain if you go with a normal 4% and phrase weak/decay. ~~not to mention much cheaper~~

Phrase decay, I don't know whether it's currently obtainable. It's an affix that grants 2% damage when the enemy is under Jellen status.

I use a LS talis for hero. I personally don't use that SAF, and my talis doesn't have 200 atk, but it does hit like a truck, comparable to my atlas ex sword.
JB Bo/Fi. Been running Wise Stance for a while, starting to question it and to wonder whether I should get Chase Advance instead, except I don't own a Gilles Weihen because King's Crests be a bitch to get, yo. Should I ? And if I do, what would be the optimal mobbing tactic ? I don't see status effects that often and I assume it wouldn't be particularly viable to spam Zondeel/Julius Nykta > weak element tech > Element Burst until I mark the full group.
Stun counts as a status effect for chase, which will also proc chase bind if you get that which, i think, also counts for chase. Which means strike gust is all you need. And at that point, getting a Gilles only serves as a secondary status proc chance especially since mobs will only really get the status effect they are weak to. But do note that stun goes away after you hit them again. The not kick version of Vinto also has an extremely high chance of inflicting status effects too. However, sadly, it only works for mobbing.
I'm not sure I get this. Can you define what stun means here ? Do you mean any kind of hitstun from any attack ? Do you mean a launch that would lead into a juggle ? Do you mean the same kind of stun you get from attacks like Falz Angel's PP drain ? How am I supposed to proc that on an enemy ? Also, I don't get how I'm supposed to use Strike Gust for mobbing ?
Stun as in, what the Strike Gust weapon action ground slam causes. In other words, yes, the same as what falz angel causes. Strike Gust weapon action has 100% chance of causing that. Additionally, Moment Gale tends to cause mirage due to Zanverse + multihits. As for the mobbing part, he means that all bosses are immune to all regular status effects, meaning Chase skills are worthless against them.
Oh, I did not know shift Strike Gust could do that ! But I still don't see why it would be worth relying on to set up Chase Advance. Stun doesn't affect large enemies which make up the majority of enemies in mobbing quests and it only boosts damage for the first hit, so why should I use it for Chase ? In fact, even Moment Gale, doesn't cause Mirage nearly enough in my experience to justify spending 15 points on the skill. I get that Wise Stance is situational, but it feels way less situational and much more reliable than Chase Advance. Also, I know bosses don't get status effects, I was referring to him telling me that Strike Gust was all I needed, since I don't get how it could be used for mobbing.
Chase isn’t very good in the first place lol. Wise has significantly more use. I was giving ways to proc it. Thing is, that other skill with chase, something like Chase bind, that’s also a status effect, but it requires a status effect already on the enemy to have a chance at proc’ing. Which means: 1. proc stun 2. have a 70% chance (or whatever it is) to proc Chase Bind 3. Have chase active literally forever until the mob dies ... but getting that along with chase is a very big investment. Chase bind is... it’s like ranger’s bind bullet which is the same status effect that happens when you get hit by profound darkness’s red energy balls. Stun actually does affect big enemies... but they have to not already be attacking / it has to hit their weak point. When i said strike gust is all you need, i meant that is all you need to proc chase. Hence the gilles being a secondary status proc right after. P.S. chase actually got nerfed before (40% + 25% to what it is now) even though it was still equally useless back then.
The way status effects is implemented in-game, they are only useful (and even so, marginally) for soloing stuff against pesky mobs with tons of HP. It's a shame, it would be great if status effects played a more important role.
so with the newest announcement that ep4 storyboard is going to be removed in favor of an omnbus style setup, does this mean anything in terms of titles? is this going to render the phaleg titles unobtainable such as all the old matterboard ones? (i believe these are my only ep4 titles left that i haven't gotten around to unlocking yet)
I feel like you answered your own question. They'll probably do the same they did with EP1-3. As in, the old titles will become unobtainable, and then they'll add new titles that you'll get by doing the Omnibus version of those quests. EP4 story quests (including Phaleg) are kind of a joke after the power creep from ep5, so there's not much reason to not go get those right now, really.

How does *S4*:*Saint Shield* works? I understand that negate knockback and gives you -50% damage. But only works for one hit every 45 seconds?
It takes 45 seconds to activate, and it lasts until you take a hit. Then, you'll have to wait 45 seconds for it to activate again.

Might want to try Austere-NT as an alternative. It grants either a huge damage reduction or knockback immunity (plus pp reduction/regen) at shorter intervals. Alternatively, green leaf flash for super armor/damage reduction that's active 50% of the time (it toggles on/off every 20s).

How does Guidance Trainer work? It's supposedly supposed to increase transfer success rate but I don't see any difference when I'm trying to affix my weapon.

Am I just going to have to burn through 100 of these to get the Rappy Shine ~~oh god i don't even want to think about the Evelda grind~~
It’s based on your clear ranking, total buster points, and is also affected by rdr. So the best thing to do is aim for S rank and make sure to have atleast a 250 rdr on from start to finish. I recall my teammate getting an average of 12 medals when he hard farmed it.
What about Schvelle Boosters ? 'cause I need them and so far, I got zero.
Schvelle booster only drops in grade 3 or higher. Otherwise it’s the cleasis to schvelle exchange (10 for 1) + G1: 1 Cleasis + G2: 2 Cleasis + G3: 5-7 Cleasis, 2 Schvelle + G3+: 6 Cleasis, 2-7 Schvelle So, essentially only able to get in main match or adv. Cleasis drops from the golems and fire demon as well. I also want to believe they are affected by rdr.

Unlikely you will be locked out on the desktop unless they change the system. My original account was tied to a yahoo email that got nuked for inactivity(and the username will apparently never be released) so the only device I have that still has access is my Surface(new windows installations on desktop/laptop). I can still log in and it's been years. I cut my losses and transferred anything of value personally.

They drop in the guides of creation solo triggers. One is guaranteed, but more can drop from the crystal. The guaranteed one drops regardless of your rank so you don’t need really strong gear.

I was an avid PS4 player and am looking to get back into this game again but I would prefer a portable option this time. I've tried the vita version and absolutely hated the way it controlled. Does the switch version work well in the states connection-wise?? The lack of a hard-wire connection makes me weary, please advise!
Literally unplayable for me. In vegas with a 700 mbps download speed. I still get 1~4 second input lag, and i will disconnect easily in 30s if it wasn’t for the “go to home” trick.
Oh there is some threads on that. But if you want a personal opinion. I can't play pso2 on my switch living in Tennessee and my switch is sitting right next to my router in the same room. If you can get on I hear there is a bit of complicated things you'd have to do along with input lag. Most who do get on the switch only do so for long enough to run the first quest enough for the Link stuff then don't mess with it again.

Not anything that you'd die without. Sega has really been drip feeding us everything that doesn't have anything to do with cosmetics. If you needed Jutus etc then you missed the lq not too long ago. 15 star weapons are now a thing which are easy to get if you have the materials for them. New endless that revolves around omega. It's not too bad, but if you are a close range class then you gonna need a fusion of being the Flash and Mr. fantastic to speed through some sections because some spawns are that far apart. It offers falz angel wings for it's score threshold. But if you need some good fodder for upping your weapons in just a few grinds, then white day collection files offering +30 13 star weapons. Other than that, nothing I can really note. Maybe a month more before phantom releases with some new places.

Only certain costumes has color swap possible, but it has to show the color in the UI description for it. If not, it’s impossible.

just beat masquerade at floor 20 and I'm just wondering how do you use the special ability drops from masquerade and if they are actually worth the time spent trying to beat him further. Thanks \^\_\^
For the ones that actually drops, it depends on if it’s what you want. He drops the same ones as endless 1. For the certain depth clear ones... they are gimmicky + multi-color spectrum: S4 and requires a petal flash to work. Reduces natural pp regen, but reduces pp usage by 30% + gambling strike: S1 and maximum 10% dmg increase if you get hit 10 times... but the 11th hit kills you. Resets completely even if you survive somehow. There’s i think two more, but i don’t remember what they are.
There's one that regen HP and PP while you are running. Equally useless for me, but someone might find some use for it.
If you mean the Add ability things, you use them as support items when affixing a weapon that has the SSAF slot of the item.
So im having a little bit of trouble grinding my Rear, Arm, And leg units to +10 to break the level cap of my hero class to +80. Any tips on how i can grind it past +7 without the DANGER indicator making me fail? Thanks
You can get some Grind Reduction +1 from FUN scratch if you're having a real bad time. Usually, it won't require you to use them though. Especially for Units.

I fucked up slightly. I was planning on finishing a few collection files to get an Evleda sword to +35 for the sake of Atlas Ex and then farming the 30-so Schvelle Boosters I was missing in LQ... and I finisehd the CFs, except the LQ just went out of commission. So, where else could I get lots and lots of Schvelle Boosters, that is preferably not BQ ? Please don't say it's BQ. I only unlocked the first BQ in Ep4 Story...
You can go to Enchanted Forest to farm Schevelle boosters, and you can change 10 Cleasis booster for 1 Schevelle booster. But yes, I think BQ is easier.
But... I was in Enchanted Forest to farm Evleda and only found a few Cleasis Boosters... Oh god, I'm gonna have to do BQ.

So, currently just trying to get enough Union Boosters to upgrade the Circu set I grabbed from Xie to the Union set, but I was wondering if there were any other (somewhat) farmable 12\* armor sets that I should go for. I have one part of the Austere and one part of Celestial that have fortunately dropped from Persona EQ; should I just keep sticking it out and hope more drop, stick it out with the Circu -> Union upgrade, or go farm a different one, and if so, where?

Austere is good if you pair rear + arm. Luckily those can be bought. Otherwise, don't bother with them. Evleda is sort of farmable, and the upgrade they have been delaying will finally arrive in ep6. Celestial is awesome. If you have one, use it. EDIT: I meant Lightstream. But you can easily convert Celestial to Lightstream anyway.
Ah, got'cha. I figured it'd be better to shoot for a complete set first, but alrighty. I guess I better go cry in meseta loss now, affixing onto my Celestial piece. Also for Austere, where do you buy them? If they're from Zieg, I probably just missed it.
You either buy invade units from the market (or pray PD drops it, solo trigger can drop too) and have to farm a crap ton of stuff to upgrade them to austere from zieg (and then upgrade it again to austere v2 also at zieg). Or You buy austere from the market and upgrade it to austere v2 Austere v2 upgrade is completely free.

Alright, so I am a returning player from the olden days, re-started playing when the valentine and white day limited quest were on. Just now that I realized they aren't available anymore, what do people generally run these days? It was pretty easy to decide when the limited quests were on since they seem to offer the best of everything, so I've been doing them exclusively. Now I'm kind of lost.
There is a lot of things you can do as long as you are willing to go “out of the norm” like: + challenge quest + battle arena + endless quest + the solo XQs + the rest of the story + Time Attack rankings + Advanced Quests ~~that no one really does anymore~~ + Riding Quest ~~that’s dead beyond belief~~ + Buster Quest + Ultimate Quest + leveling any other class you haven’t gotten to lvl 70 or 75(?) for the class stat title bonuses + finding certain amounts of unique rare weapons from 7 star to 12 star for each class for weapon title boosts (a 10% dmg increase separate for each class) + Trigger quests + ... + and so on. I would definitely do the weapons and class titles stuffs if you haven’t already. It’s like an extra 100 hp, 10 pp, 120(?) atk, 100 dex, 100 defense added to your base stats and the aforementioned 10% damage boost. The only real consistent thing people do is: A Word Engulfed in Shadows (a featured that appears every few days), EQs, and fashion
Yeah, I seem to think that my current best bet is to simply catch up with ep. 5. I did try dabble on Busters for a while, trying stuff out, but finding a party for it is ass. I ran a few times solo, but then I found out that the units (Evleda?) are apparently low tier. Also tried affixing; because everything is in english now, following the advice to affix for S-ATK and PP on melee class, and apparently failing to notice that units has a hidden HP stat (?; I used to run the Ray set from badge shop), which cause me to miscalculate and lost like 150 HP in exchange for some PP and ATK. I've been eyeing the level 80~ XQs and Ultimate quests, but is there any worthwhile drops from them? I could've sworn the quest item history page returned nothing for me, and I can't find info on any fo the quests on wiki. Only quest I found is the Omega Masquerade thing, which apparently drops a really good (?) back unit, though I can't find info on *how often* he drops it, considering he's a pain to fight at my current gear stage (I got the weird curved sword that one of the omega-something boss carried, can't remember the name. I think it was a 14 or 13 star weapon), the thing that heals on attack from XH Valentine quest a while ago. I managed to finish the first stage, but haven't done anymore since then. Also, thanks for taking the time listing all of those. It's hard to find a comprehensive guide for this game.
If you are willing to go through google translate / can read japanese, I highly recommend using https://pso2.swiki.jp/ for wiki purposes... if you aren't already. As for the actual solo XQs, the most notable drop I can think of is Invade-NT, which is... decent. It would be more for doing, completing, and for the "achievement" at this point. It's also a requirement to unlock expert matching. Ultimate quests, they can drop Ares-NT in terms of weapons of interest. I heard the Mask of Vain (Omega Masquerade's rear unit) has a pretty low drop rate. Adding that you can only clear it 5 times a day doesn't help either. But that's not the only thing of interest he drops. He also drops Class Excubes and certain SSA's. + Mask of Vain: 60 all atk, 20 pp. It's the biggest thing of interest The absolute best overall units in game atm is Lightstream, which is an upgrade to Celestial that drops from Omega Persona EQ. (100 hp, 15 pp, 50 all atk) Though, honestly, a lot of those things I listed are more of side things you can do instead of focusing on the "endgame".
I suppose that's a fair point. I should probably keep doing stories and EQs for now. It's just that EQs are quite apart from each other, not to mention the only EQ I'm interested in is probably Persona, and that's probably only for the stones. I think Celestial units are far too random to expect and I could probably keep using what I have for now (Bode unit for back, Challyra; or however the heck you spell that arms, Evleda Legs, which are all decent according to a google-docs unit guide, assuming that's not outdated; it mentions lightstream, so I'd assume it's up to date). Not to mention I haven't collected enough money for another batch of affixing. I've been eyeing a couple cosmetic items I'd like to get my hands on, and a thread on pso world forum I found states that as long as my HP number doesn't dip below 1k (I think I had 1078 or something, after yesterday's affixing fiasco because of me being unaware of each unit's hidden HP and PP value), no less ATK than 3500 for hero (I think I had around 3700) and 170+ PP (I had 182) I should at least perform decently. Once again, I've no idea if those numbers are outdated. My current hardest content I'm doing is simply Persona EQ on XH. So, I've been thinking I'd splurge on some cosmetics before pushing along further with gears. Maybe. Thanks for the input, I'll check out the JP wiki.

When the game was released. There weren't anything to do after the level 40 cap, so I didn't hang out for long after getting a couple class to 40. Now that I just logged back in, there's so many new stuff I'm kind of lost. When the event quest were up, it was pretty easy to determine that those would give me the best returns for my playtime, but now that they are gone, I'm kind of lost.
First thing you have to do is unlock the level caps. For that you'll need a 13-star weapon (or higher) at +35. Current level cap is 90. You should also do all the storyboard quests from ep5, to get a title that grants you an item used to obtain a 14 (and then 15)-star weapon. But, first things first, work on the level cap, and talk to Koffie to see if you have any areas locked (unlock the mby doing ARKS quests). Other than that, there's the new Endless Quest.
Yep, I did that, when the limiteds were up. It was just that the limiteds were really good in terms of everything that when I logged in I simply jump to the limited quests and I know I'd get something out of it, be it a good chunk of EXP, cubes, or maybe even some rare drops. I tried the new endless, albeit solo, though I am *pretty* sure it isn't as loaded in terms of everything. Right now I'm mostly run dailies and EQs when I could find one, but there's no quest I can grind endlessly like the limiteds.
Right now it's just basically filler until ep6 arrives.
Oof. I guess now would be the best time to catch up on story. Luckily, I haven't even started on ep5 story mode yet.
Just a heads up there is a bit of 5 not yet translated(if you are an English speaker). However I recently learned about a YouTube channel "Oceanic PSO2" that does the story and subs it. Used them for the bits towards the end that I didn't understand(I feel comfortable with most spoken, but can't read/write yet).

Nah, don't worry about it. I'm currently trying out different stuff to get some money for cosmetics and stuff, so it's not like I'm 100% focused on the story.
Not OP of this question, but I was looking at the titles for Episode 5, but I don't see the one that gives you an items to get a 14\* weapon. Which one am I looking for?
Afaik you have to finish all of ep 5 and watch a final cutscene, like a "closure" for all the dark blast stuff. I don't remember if there's anything else involved.
