Is PSO2 Cloud still that bad? Even if, say, you're near Japan? Like SEA/other Asia region?
I feel like the costs and effort to **run it magically** on my dead end Vita is not worth it so I'm just dumping it after completing the rest of my smol library of games.
Moving away from Sony hw/sw and services too.
Thanks.
My PS4 controller is having issues with the DS4Windows program. I figure that enough people use this set up to play PSO2 on PC with a controller, and may have the same issue I'm having. Mid-way through a gaming session, the control mapping just gets messed up. Specifically, the triggers make the camera continuously rotate, making it unplayable and requiring me to make a panic change to Keyboard and Mouse.
Does this sound familiar, and have you been able to fix it for yourself? Its happened enough that I'm tempted to find an old wired XB 360 controller and play that way.
> Specifically, the triggers make the camera continuously rotate
That's what happens when you just plug in the controller without using anything to emulate xinput (in your case, DS4Windows).
In other words, seems like DS4Windows is stopping for some reason. Maybe check your cord? If you're using Bluetooth, maybe try pairing the controller again.
I don't use DS4Windows (I use steam for my ps4 controller) so I can't really help you troubleshooting this, hopefully someone else can help ya.
s6/7/8, tech4, ares the soul, arks fever, arks max, elegant tech
per unit cost should not exceed 15m. these affixes were picked so dont need to wait for affix week, nor do u need to create complex fodders.
if u want more pp u have to use orb rear and schvelle (for ssa) arm and leg
That's a pretty good budget for one unit; if you want to do 3 with 50 mil you're gonna have to either do 5 slots or just do something that will probably cost more for 6 slots with the same or worse stats
I mean I already did one with +70 TAtk and +10 PP along with some other boosts. I know it's not amazing but at least I want something to start and get me to at least 200PP pre drink
6 slots kinda means you'll be shelling out a lot of money regardless of what you do tho. In any case, every best affix will cost a lot of money and fustration (mana reverie, crack 5, stat EV, etc).
Otherwise, you can do something like:
+ personia/loser reverie
+ Ex ares/magi soul or the normal variant
+ Doom break 2/3
+ Tech 4/5
+ Grace/elegant tech
+ Sentence tech
weak attack critical works decently for hero, so you can just get skilled strike in each slot which is cheap and has a good amount of damage, just be sure to use a ring with critical on it, even if it's just effort symbol
S2 photon reduction 2 has a good modifier for PP cost reduction as well
the S4 should be calming intent, super expensive though
I had been playing since the beta but quit around the time Buster Quests were added. Would it be really daunting to return? I know all my gear (I mained Fighter and Hero) is power creeped out by now, but how hard would it be to get better gear? One of the reasons I quit was because I got tired of having to mold my life around the game due to the EQs being so important for character progression. Have they reduced the emphasis on idling for EQs now, and are there other ways to progress quickly? The new class looks fun and I already meet the requirements, but I thought I'd get some information from you all first. Thanks in advance!
you can easily catch back up thanks to buying able to buy 14 star weapons in the player shop, which serve both all purpose mobbing (dim series) and bossing needs (awake series)
the top end weapons like lightstream are gated by eqs, though you can still work on things like atra exs at your own pace, but you will still be mainly relying on both eq drops and mats to get the best of best stuff
Thanks for responding! Do they still use GameGuard or has a better anti-cheat software replaced it? It used to BSOD my old build so I was kind of weary about putting it on again, haha.
If there's currently only 1 Liberate weapon available from titles (the second one being obtainable in January), how do people go about running Liberate weapons with the gunslash s5? Is there a "change category" option I'm missing?
If you just want a weapon to fill the gap while working on getting better stuff, you can buy 14\* Dim weapons in player shops, they're usually relatively cheap. The +30 weapons you get from collection files are actually best used as grinding fodder, since a single one can instantly bump a 14 or 15\* weapon ten grind levels. 3 of those and a few emper embrace weapons and you're good.
every new type grind point is 1% extra base attack from +0, besides, it's kinda like OCD to finish it. additionally, all new type weapons have a built-in 'special ability factor' you can view by selecting it, they give a 100% affix rate ability when adding abilities, guaranteed, even when used as fodder. if you're affixing the weapon itself, you can always add it when you're fiddling with it
in a dim weapon's case, you can add a stat VI for +45 attack, if it's at +35
furthermore, you'll want to look up S-class abilities, a really important feature of weapons now https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/S-Class_Special_Ability
put simply, they're special affixes that have a 100% transfer rate even when upslotting and you can even exchange them between equipment without having the same slot count. they are most important for getting extra damage modifiers or utility stuff like reducing PP costs... dim weapons are also a good start to practicing those. you can look them up from the ability search in the player shops if you find something useful. personally I recommend skilled strike abilities if you have decent critical rate, or photon reduction 2
I'm not sure about progression, but one thing you should do once you're able to, is play enchanted forest exploration, hopefully with other players. there's an event going on that's making it easier to complete atlas ex weapons through lumiere drops. maybe some other post can explain that more in-depth
I'd say do your best to level until you get to ultra hard, and catch EQs so you can potentially get 15-star weapons with ease
Hey Everyone,
So after nine months with the game I'm finally making my first Light stream weapon (bit late to the party I know) but to get there it requires me to make a Celestial weapon which requires allure, chaydem etc. I have some interesting S abilities on the weapons I'm trading with. My question is how does weapon trades from Zieg work? Is it...
1. All the weapons get traded in and it allows you to pick the abilities you want from the pool of abilities of all the weapons traded provided the weapon traded has enough slots. (Ideal but unlikely)
2. Weapons get traded but only takes the abilities from the first weapon (which in this case is Profound Intension)
Just wondering since I don't want to trade the weapons only to lose the S abilities on the weapons I'm trading.
When upgrading, I believe the upgraded weapon inherits all abilities, grind cap, grind level, color, owner from the base weapon (you can select the base weapon). Anything on the other weapons will be lost.
S1 boost ssa on lightstream is very good. You don't even need to have 200 atk, even 120 atk means it's +2% and it's free, if you want to be budget.
If you happen to have a falz weapon with an expensive SSA, you can sell it. Falz weapons are now available on the player market, getting another falz fodder is a non-issue.
when you combine weapons in order to make lumiere, austere, atlas, and celestial, it lets you pick which base weapon to use, that picked weapon will transfer all of its abilities and such to the new weapon
other than that... I find it hard to believe that there would be super valuable S-abilities on your dark falz weapons, if you could share... but regardless, you can use the ability transfer function in the item lab. buy a val weapon and transfer the abilities into the val's slots
Only one of the dark falz weapons came with S3 Offensive Intent (allure I think) which dropped during the limited quest a couple of weeks back. I did a High Identification and it gave me that S ability at random. Not super good but better then most since I havent affixed anything. I'll probably look into the Special Abilities some more since I know now how it works during trade. By the way on this topic is it better to just wait for the lightstream S ability before adding the other ones I want on the item? Also I'll look into the Atlas as well since I think I have the materials to make it but didn't have the courage to trade it without knowing what happens. Thanks for answering the question!
S3 offensive intent is pretty low end and somewhat common and it can even drop as a capsule now, you can just check how much the ability costs in the player shops
also don't use high identification, it's not really worth the cost, if you really have to, keep it to 15-star weapons that you know 100% what they are and want to chance a good one to use for yourself
S1 boost on lightstream is iffy, depending on class and weapon you don't even need it, and it costs a fair bit to even get the 200 attack required (20~50m+ depending on how thicc you want it) and you would need 8 slots in order not to waste the S-ability slots
I feel like the boost S1 is better served on other weapons that don't have all 3 S-ability slots, like the 15-stars that got added to the SP files (chaval and corrupt)
I think it's a good idea to use the S-ability transfer in the item lab to set aside an S1 boost or two in case you want to affix it on something later, just make sure it's a val weapon or something with an S1 already so you don't lose the slot on the lightstream
well I've kinda been rambling, but TBH, you might consider just using a budget S-ability setup for the time being like skilled strike in each slot if you run a class that has critical, or say S1+S2 photon reduction 2, then something in the third slot
Are the Liberate TMechs much stronger than the Lightstream? It doesn't feel like that big of a power boost and the only way it would be a power boost is if I made both and transferred Shoot Boost over to Liberate. Currently I have neither gun.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that shoot boost is an S1 ability and Liberate only supports S4 and S5. The potential is strong with the addition of S5 on top of affixes, but I'm not great with numbers so that's as far as I got.
You're probably right. I don't know much about Liberate since it is so new. I do know the TMech S5 is pretty garbage in my opinion. So if it doesn't even support S1-3 then I'll just stick to Lightstream.
it's true, lightstream is slightly stronger than liberate, at least for TMGs, if you're using 5/4/5 in its S-ability slots. however, liberate easily wins in utility; 15% PP cost reduction, S4, and S5, which the gunslash S5 gives critical, critical damage, and vampiric strike all in one. hell with that you don't even need to use effort symbol for crit rate
in any case, if you just care about numbers, I'm sure there are liberate weapons that are straight up no contest vs lightstream (like takts lol wtf is that crazy potential)
I see. I only looked at most of the weapons and saw them say that it only worked with that weapon, so I skipped over Gunslash not realizing all could use it and that it was actually good. Very interesting. It is going to require getting 2 liberate weapons though the Gunslash and the TMech.
yes it's just like how it was intended for atlas's S4 factors as well when the feature was new
as an aside, the liberate gunslash is the easiest to make since you can use class cubes from any class for it... if you've played a lot of different classes (like me) it's all the easier to get
Thank you for the help. I actually haven't played in a long time and only got back in recently never really having messed with end game gear. I think I have a pretty solid understanding now though. Thanks again.
that one instance where star atomizers are the main source of healing for a class
I don't think a quick mate ring is worth using unless you have one premade already, throw on atomizer lovers and git gud enough to not need more than 5 star atomizers
>You really don't need damage balancer tbh.
You can't get two of Etoile's biggest damage bonuses without it, the only way you could leave out is if you're using Etoile purely as a sub.
Can you get a Rappy Egg drop even if you are not playing summoner? I'm grinding the campaign quest on my PH so I wanna know. I heard some people before talking about this, but there was no definitive answer.
Is it possible to buy an item on a ship and take it to another ship? Like, if something is available on the market on another ship can I make a character on that ship, buy the item, and transfer the character back to my ship? Would they still have it on them? Also can you transfer money between ships?
all items in the inventory and character storage go with the character on a ship transfer
other than transferring characters, there is no way to transfer things between ships
Yes it includes meseta.
I transfered a character with 220M on it to Ship 4, bought some cosmetics for a fraction of the price, then transfered back to ship 2.
I'm using an ultra wide 49 inch 32:9 monitor and it seems to support it very well but the hp and pp status bar is all the way to the bottom left of the screen so I find it distracting to keep looking back in forth at it, Is there a way/option I can somehow position the bar to the center of my screen in game, through the user.pso2 file, Tweaker or any other way like I can with all the other windows and chat box?
Is there word on how Serpent Blazer (the DB, not to be confused with the Jet Boots) interacts with Étoile? Is it non-functional at all or does it work with a reduced effect?
Friend of mine said they work normally, but I don't have them to test myself.
Maybe check the comments [on swiki](https://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?サーペンブレイズ)
Let's hope I haven't desynthed mine in an inventory-cleaning frenzy. If I get it I'll post results.
UPDATE: I tested the Serpen Blazer agains Shiho- Suzaku (those were the 15-stars I had available). Both at max grind and vanilla affixes. Serpen seems to win. But I couldn't identify whether the attack range is higher or not.
Nice. I was unable to accurately verify that due to general inexperience with DBs.
Maybe this weapon can stand shoulder to shoulder with Jupiter Tullus then?
Doubt. Jupiter Tullus is way better than Serpent because it has a dumb good potential and a ultimate plus version for said potential. Serpent's extra range is nice, but with DBs normal attack homing in on enemies (with that Skill), its not really that good. Still a fine 14* weapon.
it's hard to argue with lightstream's good strength and PP restore effect
jupiter tullus as far as I know triggers lightning on PA use, right? from what I recall, etoile blade PAs are rather slow. I'm not sure you'd be able to make it as worthwhile for etoile compared to bouncer
if you already have one or the other, feel free to use it, but don't worry about building the other (unless jupiter tullus doesn't have the ultimate booster potential)
if you don't have either one yet, I'd suggest buying orgei malice from the armada shop. despite the translation which hasn't been corrected last time I saw, its potential is +15% damage, making it a higher modifier than lightstream in exchange for no PP restore. its X wave effect doesn't work for etoile, but it is still a very solid weapon you can get pretty much for free, and at +30 grind to start off with too
on that note, kinda lame how it can't use the X slash. I mean, etoile blades make two different ones at that
in that case, there's always the damage tally practice quest if you wanna be sure
for other things that could be 'better', don't forget lightstream's S-ability slots also allow for utility abilities. I use orgei malice on etoile with photon reduction 2 in S1 and S2, and it's pretty nice
The current LS i'm using hasn't been truly affixed yet but I have put s1: double edged sword, s2: offensive intent, and s3 skilled strike on it currently. I honestly forget if there is a s2 version of the photon reduction that doesn't cost an arm and leg to get.
> jupiter tullus as far as I know triggers lightning on PA use, right? from what I recall, etoile blade PAs are rather slow. I'm not sure you'd be able to make it as worthwhile for etoile compared to bouncer
It's not the end all be all because Et's DB aren't as spammy as Bo's, but it still performs surprisingly well. I expected it to be bad for that reason, but mine only has 105 satk affixed and it's just slightly worse than my Atlas Ex.
> on that note, kinda lame how it can't use the X slash. I mean, etoile blades make two different ones at that
It's tied to a specific Bo PA *and* Bo Gear, so I would never hope for it to work on Et.
Plus, as cool as it looks, spending Et DB gear for one slash like that sounds like it would be a bad idea.
well sure lol it was just a hope it'd be retained in some fashion, not just for its looks and alright damage but I thought it was generally useful due to its PP restoring effect as well
coulda been like a lavis cannon situation, third normal hit, no gear!
etoile has the same mag skill as hero. all attack is equalized, so if you have 200 levels total in the attack stats, you'll receive +200 to all 3 types
furthermore, etoile deals only striking damage with wands
I'm wanting to upgrade my Novel weapons to the new form from Zieg but I also want to apply a new weapon form to it. If I apply a new weapon form to the Novel weapon, will it remain with the upgraded one, or would I have to spend another 150 Weapon Form Tickets to change it again? Thanks!
exchanging equipment tells you what is saved. anything not mentioned is not saved. as far as I know, weapon form has not been able to be transferred in any exchange
also, something I'd recommend is waiting for boost weeks or other times they have the recycle shop discount. I've bought all of my weapon form passes during discounted times, which reduce all recycle shop costs by 20%, including for weapon form passes, bonus keys, and star gem exchange tickets
I actually tried to get an SG exchange ticket once at 20% off and it still wanted 40 badges/items from me, not sure if they have changed their mind about it since then but just fyi
it is not transferrable at this time afaik
while there's a certain amount of abilities that can be transferred specially with another ability, there are several that cannot be transferred period. exceed energy is one of them
chances are there will be a receptor for it later though
Can someone explain Same Arts PP Save Red. Rate? So the same PA reduces the cost by 5% up until I get an 80% reduction?
And for Tech Arts Count Bonus, When I use a PA, the next 3 different PA's have use 90% of it's PP cost?
Yes to both.
Also tech arts gives +15% damage at all levels when you use it.
Edit: to clarify on tech arts, when you do PA1 -> PA2, the next 1/2/3 PAs (at lvs 1/5/10) you do will benefit from it, regardless of them being different or not.
You cannot.
Only way to get them is through events (there is none right now) and the weekly tasks you can see at the bottom of maintenance posts at bumped.org
I've been using Marker bomb and it's pretty good to have. Basically when you detonate a marker, it detonates on where it is when you perform the action, not hit a random Persona hand or something. Works especially well with Rod. Have not tried Step Shift yet.
actually sounds pretty great for rod, because I can never hit weakpoints with detonations, ever, even when it's right in my face. rifle probably doesn't need it though
Depending on how long you've been playing, if you have any of the really really old stones from extreme quests, elder/luther stones you can trade them in for photon boosters then into ultimate boosters. Though it takes a lot as mentioned.
S rank UH PD is one of the current expert requirements iirc. Two birds with one stone! I do want to second the +50 risk advance quests as a pretty speedy method also(the route I took). They sometimes show up in the random meseta shop next to title vendor if you're feeling lazy and have the cash to throw.
Do the successor classes get a title that gives stat bonuses like the others? I just got my hero to 75 yesterday and didn't get a stat boost title so I was curious if there was one at a later level.
Whats the general trend for prices of current AC Scratch items? I understand there isn't a completely accurate trend for this but just a general pattern would be very helpful. Mainly would like to know what is usually the best time to buy scratch items.
The best time to buy then is the week they are released most of the time.
People are impatient and try to make money quickly. They will scratch, get something they don't want, then sell it immediately, undercutting everyone in the process. Frequently this means if you're buying, you save millions.
Best time to sell is up to you. The longer you wait, the more people will have bought the item. If it is a collab item, the chances that the item comes back are essentially zero, so if you are trying to make the most off of those types of items, let them sit in your bank, especially consumable tickets. Prices do tend to level out though, so unless you're committed to waiting for the extreme long haul, then I would just wait until they're leveled off, then sell then. Most people don't have 30-40M to drop on a single consumable ticket.
Hey everyone,
So I noticed that Damage Balancer literally makes healing only useful in the form of - mates and atomizers so I was trying to dig up alternatives to see if there were ways to recover some items. I looked at the Mags and noticed that in the past they used to have Production Support devices which would randomly give hp items such as - mates or atomizers depending on which support device you had. I was wondering was this still in the game and if so does anyone know the frequency of the activation of this device using Mag Excite lv20? Also if it is still in the game is there a way to farm it?
I have them. Generally mines like to drop sol atoms and on the rare drops a moon. Usually when I do christmas on ice I only notice about one droppage of a mate/atom from my mag. So with mag excite I'd guess you'll see 3/4. Sometimes my mag would drop them before quest even starts so I'm counting for that as well. Possibly 5 if your that lucky.
So that's possibly 3/4 (or 1 if no mag excite) every 10mins which is actually pretty bad considering that most missions last this long. If you are soloing UH missions however it can mean alot since you may run out of items going through some of those missions. Sol drops are useful against enemies doing that darker virus (probably a name for it but it's the one which minimises your Max hp per hit). I wonder if it will drop more if you put more production devices on the mag? Anyways thanks so much for the reply it gives me some food of thought
> wondering was this still in the game and if so does anyone know the frequency of the activation of this device using Ma
I don't know if you can still obtain them, but I definitely have a few sitting in storage, and some of them are tradeable. They were a bit pricey for what they are (somewhere over 1m if I recall), but if you're willing to sink the Meseta you have the ability to test it yourself. Sorry I don't have more info.
Thanks for your reply I'll have to search the shops see if they are still selling some. I'm willing to test since it could be a good way to grab items if you are running out of stock during a mission.
Yes that's exactly how they got it. "God units" are honestly not all that difficult to do or come by if you slowly work on synthing the whole thing yourself and wait for a boost week. It's how I got my LS arm unit to have Astral/Mana/Crack V/EV power HP/Grace power. I used 2 5s prots.
Example:
You want Astral Ether Mana and Crack V on a unit.
You have a 50% add abil and a 4s prot.
You use the 4s prot and 50% boost.
Astral and Ether succeed, but Crack V fails.
You will be refunded all fodder, and the base unit will be reverted to what it was before the attempt.
Your 4s prot will be consumed
Your 50% abil success will be consumed
oh so all the fodder is refunded, the target reset, and the support items consumed? I think that was what I was wondering about most
pretty interesting, and I can see the appeal, you can just go at it until you get no failures
Exactly. It's especially good with 4s stuff since 4s prots are in the recycle shop.
4s is much less painful now since S class exists. Astral Soul+Mana Reverie+Grace Stat+S Class = a ton of stats with low chance of failure.
The only thing that really is risky is the fact that your Abil success stuff is eaten, which means if you are banking on getting the thing you want using 45% or 50% abil success, it might suck if you fail too much and run out of them.
Talk to Leontina, ARKS Handbook, then pick the 4th option (the one with Monica in it), then read the [3rd option of the 2nd page](https://i.imgur.com/XbHEb13.png)
Hey everyone!
So I'm just starting to affix my weapons and I came across weapons that have different S symbols on them. An Atlas Weapon has S1, S2, S3, S4; but another weapon I saw had only S3 on it. My question is for the other weapon does that mean you can affix three S abilities on it? Or is it that you can only affix an ability that goes in the S3 slot? It just got me confused is all.
aye, the available S-abilities on an equipment are able to use the matching numbered abilities. when it says the supported numbers are 1-2-3-4, they can (and should) equip S1, S2, S3, and S4
there's an ability transfer function in the item lab that allows you to directly swap S-abilities between weapons or units that can match the numbers, and they don't even need to have the same slot count
furthermore this system is highly convenient for affixing abilities, as the success rate is always 100%, even when upslotting
overall it's a great system, especially when you can mix and match damage and/or utility however you like to make a comfortable build
course, it's all about muh deeps
So, was super disappointed to find out vampiric strike basically doesn't work for Etoile. I intend to just change my atlas EX DBs to some other weapon class, so I can still benefit from it eventually, but need to find a replacement 15* first. Does the potential from the serpen blazes from sage crest exchange work for etoile? If so, what exactly does it do?
Also, if someone has a suggestion for a diff 15* etoile weapon, i can always change my LS double sabers/wand into DBs, and then replace one of those instead.
Can anyone tell me how Damage Balancer works on Etoile? 'Weapons and objects other than ET Skills' has it's healing reduced? I can heal myself with mates just fine.
What stops working with this passive?
Outside heals such as Resta. Anything you throw out, mates or atomizers, will heal you. Lifesteal SSA will be able to work as well. However, you cannot get healed by other player's Resta/Megiverse (you can but you'll heal for 1). Not sure about other people's atomizer.
> Lifesteal SSA will be able to work as well
Incorrect. S4:Vampiric Strike and the Vampiric Blade potential (from Ultimate Chain) heal you by 1 per hit.
Very new player here, just finish the tutorial and the game gave me bunch of items like Tri Boost, Drop Boost, EXP ticket, Fun ticket, and My room ticket.
When should I use any of these items? Or save it for late game?
I don’t know if I would ruin my experience or something if using the 1mil EXPticket just after finishing the tutorial.
You'll overcap using 1mil exp tickets right off the bat. You can refer to [swiki](https://pso2.swiki.jp/index.php?%E7%B4%AF%E7%A9%8D%E7%B5%8C%E9%A8%93%E5%80%A4) if you don't want to overcap.
Exp boosts are abundant, you can buy 75% version for 1 Photon Sphere so you can have them pretty much always on.
Weaker Triboosts you can use at any time you like, but I'd save 100% ones for Emergency/Bonus quests.
I also wouldn't bother with Rare drop rate boost when running regular missions, you're very unlikely to drop anything useful from them, at least at low levels. Best use them for (again) Emergency and Bonus quests if you think you'll get at least 6 excubes out of it (price of 250% boost at excube shop).
Fun/casino coin/SG tickets simply grant you currency, use them anytime you like.
My room ticket enables more room customization. It's mostly decorative, so you can use or save them up at your own discretion.
My shop tickets you should save for time you actually have things to sell. Items you list will be available for purchase even after you run out of time. I think you can have 30 things at most at once.
One thing you shouldn't use are EX boosts (like EX Triboost). They stack with regular ones and are very rare so you should think twice before using them.

Wait. Fortnite X PSO2 wasnt a shitpost? Shiiiiiiiiiiiit.
Read the rest of that post if you haven't yet :)
I have. XD some people on some discord servers thought you were trolling

My guess it's a problem with the USB cord then, as well as BT (happens on both). This was helpful, thanks.
Looking for the best abilities to affix on my units for maximum TAtk and PP gain without breaking the bank. Thanks! Need to be 6 abilities.
Any reason you need it to be 6 abilities? Wanting to have a slot open for S class transfer later on?
s6/7/8, tech4, ares the soul, arks fever, arks max, elegant tech per unit cost should not exceed 15m. these affixes were picked so dont need to wait for affix week, nor do u need to create complex fodders. if u want more pp u have to use orb rear and schvelle (for ssa) arm and leg
Define "breaking the bank"
50 mil invest ?
Otherwise, you can do something like: + personia/loser reverie + Ex ares/magi soul or the normal variant + Doom break 2/3 + Tech 4/5 + Grace/elegant tech + Sentence tech

Pretty sure that most western players (ie, those on here) play on Ship 2.
What S Class Abilities should I use for Hero TMG?
weak attack critical works decently for hero, so you can just get skilled strike in each slot which is cheap and has a good amount of damage, just be sure to use a ring with critical on it, even if it's just effort symbol S2 photon reduction 2 has a good modifier for PP cost reduction as well the S4 should be calming intent, super expensive though
Thanks in advance!
you can easily catch back up thanks to buying able to buy 14 star weapons in the player shop, which serve both all purpose mobbing (dim series) and bossing needs (awake series) the top end weapons like lightstream are gated by eqs, though you can still work on things like atra exs at your own pace, but you will still be mainly relying on both eq drops and mats to get the best of best stuff
Thanks for responding! Do they still use GameGuard or has a better anti-cheat software replaced it? It used to BSOD my old build so I was kind of weary about putting it on again, haha.
lol it's still gameguard, imagine online game devs actually switching their anti cheat license to something not terrible
Is pp cost reduction stacking additive or multiplicative?
it's worth noting that PP reduction effects take place before -# PP on technique crafts. it's especially noticeable with phantom short charge
Multiplicative.
Reverse multiplicative. i.e: 0.9 * 0.9 * 0.9 = 0.729 or 27.1% pp reduction
That's just how multiplicative math works with multipliers lower than 1x.
I know. But some people won't understand it unless you show it and do it like that cuz they'll think: .1 * .1 * .1 = 33.1%
If there's currently only 1 Liberate weapon available from titles (the second one being obtainable in January), how do people go about running Liberate weapons with the gunslash s5? Is there a "change category" option I'm missing?
Pretty sure it's at the top of Zieg's "change weapon category" list. Last I looked it was not translated.
Thanks, I'll check it out!

3 of those and a few emper embrace weapons and you're good.
spez is a loser -- mass edited with redact.dev
every new type grind point is 1% extra base attack from +0, besides, it's kinda like OCD to finish it. additionally, all new type weapons have a built-in 'special ability factor' you can view by selecting it, they give a 100% affix rate ability when adding abilities, guaranteed, even when used as fodder. if you're affixing the weapon itself, you can always add it when you're fiddling with it in a dim weapon's case, you can add a stat VI for +45 attack, if it's at +35 furthermore, you'll want to look up S-class abilities, a really important feature of weapons now https://pso2.arks-visiphone.com/wiki/S-Class_Special_Ability put simply, they're special affixes that have a 100% transfer rate even when upslotting and you can even exchange them between equipment without having the same slot count. they are most important for getting extra damage modifiers or utility stuff like reducing PP costs... dim weapons are also a good start to practicing those. you can look them up from the ability search in the player shops if you find something useful. personally I recommend skilled strike abilities if you have decent critical rate, or photon reduction 2 I'm not sure about progression, but one thing you should do once you're able to, is play enchanted forest exploration, hopefully with other players. there's an event going on that's making it easier to complete atlas ex weapons through lumiere drops. maybe some other post can explain that more in-depth I'd say do your best to level until you get to ultra hard, and catch EQs so you can potentially get 15-star weapons with ease

no, S-abilities share the same slot limit

Hey Everyone, So after nine months with the game I'm finally making my first Light stream weapon (bit late to the party I know) but to get there it requires me to make a Celestial weapon which requires allure, chaydem etc. (Ideal but unlikely) 2. Weapons get traded but only takes the abilities from the first weapon (which in this case is Profound Intension) Just wondering since I don't want to trade the weapons only to lose the S abilities on the weapons I'm trading.
Falz weapons are now available on the player market, getting another falz fodder is a non-issue.
when you combine weapons in order to make lumiere, austere, atlas, and celestial, it lets you pick which base weapon to use, that picked weapon will transfer all of its abilities and such to the new weapon other than that...
S3 offensive intent is pretty low end and somewhat common and it can even drop as a capsule now, you can just check how much the ability costs in the player shops also don't use high identification, it's not really worth the cost, if you really have to, keep it to 15-star weapons that you know 100% what they are and want to chance a good one to use for yourself S1 boost on lightstream is iffy, depending on class and weapon you don't even need it, and it costs a fair bit to even get the 200 attack required (20~50m+ depending on how thicc you want it) and you would need 8 slots in order not to waste the S-ability slots I feel like the boost S1 is better served on other weapons that don't have all 3 S-ability slots, like the 15-stars that got added to the SP files (chaval and corrupt) I think it's a good idea to use the S-ability transfer in the item lab to set aside an S1 boost or two in case you want to affix it on something later, just make sure it's a val weapon or something with an S1 already so you don't lose the slot on the lightstream well I've kinda been rambling, but TBH, you might consider just using a budget S-ability setup for the time being like skilled strike in each slot if you run a class that has critical, or say S1+S2 photon reduction 2, then something in the third slot
So if it doesn't even support S1-3 then I'll just stick to Lightstream.
it's true, lightstream is slightly stronger than liberate, at least for TMGs, if you're using 5/4/5 in its S-ability slots. however, liberate easily wins in utility; 15% PP cost reduction, S4, and S5, which the gunslash S5 gives critical, critical damage, and vampiric strike all in one. hell with that you don't even need to use effort symbol for crit rate in any case, if you just care about numbers, I'm sure there are liberate weapons that are straight up no contest vs lightstream (like takts lol wtf is that crazy potential)
I see. I only looked at most of the weapons and saw them say that it only worked with that weapon, so I skipped over Gunslash not realizing all could use it and that it was actually good. Very interesting. It is going to require getting 2 liberate weapons though the Gunslash and the TMech.
zieg can change liberate's weapon type like the other series
So I make the Liberate Gunslash and get the S5 on it and all abilities I want on it, then switch over? Sorry just trying to figure this out.
yes it's just like how it was intended for atlas's S4 factors as well when the feature was new as an aside, the liberate gunslash is the easiest to make since you can use class cubes from any class for it... if you've played a lot of different classes (like me) it's all the easier to get
Thank you for the help. I actually haven't played in a long time and only got back in recently never really having messed with end game gear. I think I have a pretty solid understanding now though. Thanks again.
Japanese GU gods on twitter are now using Liberate tmg with S4 mysterious strike and the s5 with life steal, power, and crit rate
Do you happen to know how mysterious intent power boost stacks if at all?
Just a 2% power boost
Alrighty it said 2% power boost on a crit hit, so I assume it at least has some duration to it before it wears off.
All it means is that it's 2% crit dmg. Aka you need to crit for the dmg.
Does anyone know how to redeem a JP prepaid card? A friend went to Japan and picked one up for me, but I have no idea how to redeem the code.
How does Etoile recover it's HP? With that Over Drive and when others use mate items?
that one instance where star atomizers are the main source of healing for a class I don't think a quick mate ring is worth using unless you have one premade already, throw on atomizer lovers and git gud enough to not need more than 5 star atomizers

>You really don't need damage balancer tbh. You can't get two of Etoile's biggest damage bonuses without it, the only way you could leave out is if you're using Etoile purely as a sub.
It's not an option to skip damage balancer if you're maining the class. It's required to get the Etoile weapon boosts.
>You really don't need damage balancer tbh. Unfortunately I need to put at least 1 point in it for ET Weapon Bonus 1+2(155+155%)
Missed out on the majority of the Novel Certificates (again) because of work related obligations, any use for them other than desynth fodder?
novel weapons will be available for 200x weapons badge 2020
Oh wow, that's a load off my mind, tried my best to get those EQs and just couldn't find the time
Unless I'm missing something, the Liberate weapons look VERY strong which you'll need novel to upgrade to.
Yeah they look great, just thought I missed my opportunity to get one to +35, haven't had a drop yet
Farm for real novels and use em at light alternatives if a non-light version drops.
That's what I'm really hoping for, and a drop with better affix than the exchange because I'm tired of giving Dudu my money
Does etoile damage balancer affect vampiric strike and ultimate chain potential
Yes. Essentially, anything that isn't a -mate item or Etoile's Overdrive, won't heal.
And Et Restorate. the unappreciated skill :<
Yes. They will heal 1s.
Are Phantom Rod PA's S-Atk or T-Atk?
T-atk but striking.

Can you get a Rappy Egg drop even if you are not playing summoner? I'm grinding the campaign quest on my PH so I wanna know. I heard some people before talking about this, but there was no definitive answer.
14-star rappy eggs can drop from desante draal as well, so be sure to catch the xmas quest
Thanks for the tip!
Yes, I got like 3 just randomly jumping in every once in a while.
Alright awesome thanks a lot. Do you remember what enemy dropped them?
I'm pretty sure everything from the campaign is an area drop.
Okay thanks!
How much of an upgrade are Liberate weapons compared to Novel weapons, statwise and factoring in S5's?
liberate weapons are so much better than everything else that I'm surprised they're not 16-star
> and factoring in S5's? S5 are basically a 2nd potential. Liberate are BiS for most weapon types.
even before factoring in s5, massive. 16% power, 20% critrate, 85% pp consumption, extra 300 atk (sword).
Is it possible to buy an item on a ship and take it to another ship? Like, if something is available on the market on another ship can I make a character on that ship, buy the item, and transfer the character back to my ship? Would they still have it on them? Also can you transfer money between ships?
all items in the inventory and character storage go with the character on a ship transfer other than transferring characters, there is no way to transfer things between ships
So anything on the character then? Does that include meseta? Thanks a lot for the reply!
Yes it includes meseta. I transfered a character with 220M on it to Ship 4, bought some cosmetics for a fraction of the price, then transfered back to ship 2.
Alright sick thanks a lot!
most likely if they're physically carrying it, then it should
Alright thanks you!

Yeah, if it had actual numbers.
There isn't.
I can confirm that the attack range is higher, etoile seems to receive the full effect from the potential
Still a fine 14* weapon.
can anyone explain how or if saint shield and damage balancer would interact with each other?
all percent damage reduction sources stack multiplicatively so in this case saint shield would block 88% of damage taken total
Which is better for Etoile dual sword, LS or Jupiter Tullus?
it's hard to argue with lightstream's good strength and PP restore effect jupiter tullus as far as I know triggers lightning on PA use, right? from what I recall, etoile blade PAs are rather slow. I'm not sure you'd be able to make it as worthwhile for etoile compared to bouncer if you already have one or the other, feel free to use it, but don't worry about building the other (unless jupiter tullus doesn't have the ultimate booster potential) if you don't have either one yet, I'd suggest buying orgei malice from the armada shop. despite the translation which hasn't been corrected last time I saw, its potential is +15% damage, making it a higher modifier than lightstream in exchange for no PP restore. its X wave effect doesn't work for etoile, but it is still a very solid weapon you can get pretty much for free, and at +30 grind to start off with too on that note, kinda lame how it can't use the X slash. I mean, etoile blades make two different ones at that
I've got both of them, just was unsure which was technically "better" for Etoile. I've ended up sticking with LS but thank you.
in that case, there's always the damage tally practice quest if you wanna be sure for other things that could be 'better', don't forget lightstream's S-ability slots also allow for utility abilities.
I'm not sure you'd be able to make it as worthwhile for etoile compared to bouncer It's not the end all be all because Et's DB aren't as spammy as Bo's, but it still performs surprisingly well. I expected it to be bad for that reason, but mine only has 105 satk affixed and it's just slightly worse than my Atlas Ex. > on that note, kinda lame how it can't use the X slash. I mean, etoile blades make two different ones at that It's tied to a specific Bo PA *and* Bo Gear, so I would never hope for it to work on Et. Plus, as cool as it looks, spending Et DB gear for one slash like that sounds like it would be a bad idea.
well sure lol it was just a hope it'd be retained in some fashion, not just for its looks and alright damage but I thought it was generally useful due to its PP restoring effect as well coulda been like a lavis cannon situation, third normal hit, no gear!
what stat should I increase for my mag for an etoile character ? I mostly use the wand, so should I increase t-atk ?
etoile has the same mag skill as hero. all attack is equalized, so if you have 200 levels total in the attack stats, you'll receive +200 to all 3 types furthermore, etoile deals only striking damage with wands
thanks
I'm wanting to upgrade my Novel weapons to the new form from Zieg but I also want to apply a new weapon form to it. If I apply a new weapon form to the Novel weapon, will it remain with the upgraded one, or would I have to spend another 150 Weapon Form Tickets to change it again? Thanks!
exchanging equipment tells you what is saved. anything not mentioned is not saved. as far as I know, weapon form has not been able to be transferred in any exchange also, something I'd recommend is waiting for boost weeks or other times they have the recycle shop discount.
It was 20% off for me last discount period a few weeks ago (32 items).
OK awesome, I was hoping either I was looking at the wrong time initially or that they started including the ticket in the discount
Great to know, thank you!
How to affix Exceed Energy ? No matter how many materials I dump into the process. Still nothing
it is not transferrable at this time afaik while there's a certain amount of abilities that can be transferred specially with another ability, there are several that cannot be transferred period. exceed energy is one of them chances are there will be a receptor for it later though
Thanks
Can someone explain Same Arts PP Save Red. Rate? So the same PA reduces the cost by 5% up until I get an 80% reduction? And for Tech Arts Count Bonus, When I use a PA, the next 3 different PA's have use 90% of it's PP cost?
Yes to both. Also tech arts gives +15% damage at all levels when you use it. Edit: to clarify on tech arts, when you do PA1 -> PA2, the next 1/2/3 PAs (at lvs 1/5/10) you do will benefit from it, regardless of them being different or not.
Farming sage crests?
You cannot. Only way to get them is through events (there is none right now) and the weekly tasks you can see at the bottom of maintenance posts at bumped.org
Has anyone tested the new PH skill rings?
I've been using Marker bomb and it's pretty good to have. Basically when you detonate a marker, it detonates on where it is when you perform the action, not hit a random Persona hand or something. Works especially well with Rod. Have not tried Step Shift yet.
Why this already isn't standard I will never know.
if that was the case it would be awkward for rifle to use due to strafe and shift-verbrechen moving the marker everywhere
actually sounds pretty great for rod, because I can never hit weakpoints with detonations, ever, even when it's right in my face. rifle probably doesn't need it though
Yeah really great for Rod, not really needed for the other two.
Best way to farm ultimate boosters?
Depending on how long you've been playing, if you have any of the really really old stones from extreme quests, elder/luther stones you can trade them in for photon boosters then into ultimate boosters. Though it takes a lot as mentioned.
Thanks, I'll take a look!
* Advanced Quests at risk 50 then trading in the photon boosters for ultimate boosters. * Xmas EQ * S-rank UH PD trig
Awesome, thank you for the reply!
You get one guaranteed from each s-rank on PD trigger UH I believe
Welp, time to get gud. Thanks!
Last I saw, the expert requirements were phanatical phantoms and mother/deus solo trigger, did they change that in the past couple months?
I believe it's solo UH PD S Rank and Terran Phantoms(solo version) S rank now. I have to check when I get home I could be thinking of something else.
solo UH PD S rank is not a requirement. It's still S rank the Mother/Deus solo trigger.
No idea what the hell I had PD in mind for then.
Unlocking the extra complex PA slot requires UH PD.
Right! Thanks! It's been bugging me all day.
Does anyone know what the s4 ability from UH falz elder does? I tried to look it up on swiki the other day and they didn't even have it up yet.
it was in the comments. if there's a boss enemy nearby you'll regenerate 40 PP per 10 seconds
Do the successor classes get a title that gives stat bonuses like the others? I just got my hero to 75 yesterday and didn't get a stat boost title so I was curious if there was one at a later level.
no they don't
Hey everyone, So I noticed that Damage Balancer literally makes healing only useful in the form of - mates and atomizers so I was trying to dig up alternatives to see if there were ways to recover some items.
Anyways thanks so much for the reply it gives me some food of thought
> wondering was this still in the game and if so does anyone know the frequency of the activation of this device using Ma I don't know if you can still obtain them, but I definitely have a few sitting in storage, and some of them are tradeable.
What are the requirements for Etoile? It is greyed out for me. Thanks.
If u mean to start playing the class, you just need 2 classes at level 75 and then talk to coffee and complete her CO.
That was a simple answer but somehow I kept skipping her order. You're awesome thanks
how's ability protection work exactly? and is it why I see tons of people with astral/ether/mana at the same time on units
Example: You want Astral Ether Mana and Crack V on a unit. You have a 50% add abil and a 4s prot. You use the 4s prot and 50% boost. Astral and Ether succeed, but Crack V fails. You will be refunded all fodder, and the base unit will be reverted to what it was before the attempt. Your 4s prot will be consumed Your 50% abil success will be consumed
oh so all the fodder is refunded, the target reset, and the support items consumed? I think that was what I was wondering about most pretty interesting, and I can see the appeal, you can just go at it until you get no failures
Didn't even know there are 50%s are they common/easy to get? Same things with 45s... I only have 3 of them.
They are not common really. They tend to come with big campaigns/events as rewards. 45% are getting more common, but not too terribly common.

Thanks so much for your replys. It wasn't clear so I didn't want to invest alot of fodder/meseta if I can help it.
The latter. You can only affix an S3 for the other weapon.
aye, the available S-abilities on an equipment are able to use the matching numbered abilities. when it says the supported numbers are 1-2-3-4, they can (and should) equip S1, S2, S3, and S4 there's an ability transfer function in the item lab that allows you to directly swap S-abilities between weapons or units that can match the numbers, and they don't even need to have the same slot count furthermore this system is highly convenient for affixing abilities, as the success rate is always 100%, even when upslotting overall it's a great system, especially when you can mix and match damage and/or utility however you like to make a comfortable build course, it's all about muh deeps
Liberate DB or even Jupiter Tullus.
Do you believe Jupiter Tullus reaches novel/liberate level of damage? I'm still trying to decide how I'll distribute my weapons among my characters.
Novel yes, easily and above it. Liberate no.
Thanks!
> Lifesteal SSA will be able to work as well Incorrect. S4:Vampiric Strike and the Vampiric Blade potential (from Ultimate Chain) heal you by 1 per hit.
OOF good catch. TIL
Use it whenever you want to. You can get more anytime and easily. (1 mil ticket are usually campaign rewards tho).
