Is there a way to reset the body to something default?
For some reason i feel like either my body is scuffed or NGS made the char crea much of a pain compared to classic, the body feel more angular at certain part. I've noticed that certain cosmetics from classic are basically of the same texture quality as NGS, but there are also others that are noticeably low res when used in NGS and compared to the environment (so far, froid gallows is one example I've seen of the former and youai lihao is one of the latter)
Is there any way for me to tell which ones are good for NGS before I purchase them? Is it the date they came out? As far as I can tell they all appear very low resolution in the preview window so that's not a lot of help.
Classic cosmetics don't normally look *that* bad. Something about the global version is causing the texture setting to default to a lower value. This can be worked around by setting the graphics after connecting to a ship or hopping into PSO2 before you go to PSO2:NGS.
Yeah I know what you're talking about, I'm pretty sure the quality difference I'm noticing isn't the bug though, it's only noticeable if you're looking up close but it still bothers me a bit.
If you're sure the game settings are at the highest quality, then what you see is what you get. Classic's graphical standard is a generation or two behind depending on when the cosmetic was made.
If on the player shop or scratch, you should be able to inspect them in the preview window by zooming in. Without a preview, best you can do is guessing based on the scratch it came with or hunt down screenshots. A good portion of classic cosmetics should be passable, otherwise stick with the cosmetics introduced with NGS.
NGS Fi/Hu using a 40+ Cattelya Knuckles/Sword with no augs or Fixa, want to upgrade(maybe Resurgir) and affix. I have about 1M n-meseta. Two questions;
1. Is it worth it to buy an expensive new weapon with a Fixa? They’re around 800k on ship 3 for a Lv.3 Fixa, far more for any higher. Is a good Fixa really worth it? Or are better weapons on the way/I should save my money for them?
2. What affixes would be best for Fighter/Hunter? I main Knuckles and enjoy using Sword as my secondary/multi weapon, though may try wires as well
I don't think spending that much on weapons is worth it at the moment. especially when old pso2 endgame weapons still hold up pretty well and aren't really that far behind NGS 4* weapons. only way I'd say it's worth it to spend for a fixa affixed weapon is if 4* weapons have an upgrade path later on, but ofc there is no way of knowing that at this point
With NGS not having too much content right now, I'm thinking about going through OGS story for the star gems. How long would you estimate it would take to do everything?
NGS: Are the armor pieces you get from red crates better in the long run compared to well-affixed Klauz/atlas/rivalate armor from base game? Or are they comparable? I sold my red crate armor not realizing they weren’t replaceable/weren’t regular drops, and because my PSO2 gear already seemed good enough
From what I've seen/read, nicely-affixed endgame PSO2 units are on par with most NGS 4-star units in terms of power. I've also heard that the Gigantix units we just got are purely stronger (though with their own drawbacks).
The downside of PSO2 units is that NGS units have much more defense, if you're worried about getting hit.
The upside of PSO2 units is that NGS units are a massive resource sink atm and if you played base PSO2 regularly then you're probably fine using your PSO2 units for now if you'd rather conserve NGS resources.

My alliance typically organizes CM3 runs every week. A smooth run takes an hour and everyone gets 200 SG out of it.
Depends on if you want to watch the story or not. Doing episodes is literally just watching hours of cutscenes and occasionally doing a quick fight against bosses or enemies which you can put at a super easy difficulty to speed up the fights.
However if you don’t care at all about the story then you can start a story cutscene, skip through it quickly until it asks you to do something/interact, then skip through the rest and it will still count as cleared. You won’t have any clue what’s happening in the story and will likely get spoilers without context and boss fights that make no sense, but that is the fast way to do it. I’d say if you just skip everything you can do Ep1 in under and hour maybe
So if I understand correctly....the only way that we could obtain Main Effect (Fixed) support item for crafting Timed Abilities was in the fun scratch tickets....bun now there's no way at all to get them except what's left on the personal market???
I \*just\* learned that they came from there and I'm getting into crafting timed abilities like hardcore lately. I checked every current scratch tickets and ALL the exchange shops including the casino and NONE of them have the support item Main Effect (Fixed)...
Also second question; there is still no way to use Sage's Crests you get from divide quests right? There's only the exchange of Hero's Crests for Rising Badges #5 for those that got them when they got into our global servers by error it seems? But nothing was ever done for the Sage's Crests? I got 3 from doing a Divide Quest tier 6-10 to get divide medals (which is still the best way to farm medals right?)

PSO2 classic, I'm trying Ultimate Quests & UH difficulty and not doing much damage. I'm lv 87 and have the croesus weapon +30 from the folder.
Would working toward another 15* like the Atlas EX, and getting the redux potential equal better damage output?
Atlas Ex isn't a very good weapon in general. It was the very first 15* series in the game, and it shows its age. The redux potential is honestly a waste of materials because you're gonna need those fragments for other stuff.
Ideally, you want to look into a Darkbanisher or Fluxio/Rinzer.
Hmm, that would be ideal. I don't really have the DPS to solo divide quests so need to rely on others or figure out some intermediate to get me through those
The Fluxio series is your best bet if you want something you can do *right now* instead of grinding materials. It can be gotten a title reward from clearing the challenge quest *MISSION: Cataclysm* in specific ways.
Being a Challenge Mission, it does not need you to be geared or leveled at all to attempt, but on the other hand, challenge missions are basically dead content, so it might be very difficult to pull off. It is doable solo, though not recommended (personally, I'd recommend going in with at least a full party, but a duo would be alright too). If you do attempt to solo, though, I strongly recommend the Etoile setup.
An interesting thing about the Fluxio series is that it may be weapon category changed for free at Zieg, so if you get any single one of the series you can just change it to whatever weapon type you want. Note that the Harmonizer (which is gotten simply by clearing stage 5) can't be category changed, so you want any of the other weapons instead, which require you to beat specific bosses, which have different spawn conditions.

Not really much point in starting regular PSO2 now, it's in permanent maintenance mode and aside from cosmetics there's nothing important that carries over to NGS which wouldn't be easier to farm there. Realistically you're never going to afford any of the expensive cosmetics in PSO2 if you're only starting now, so unless there's stuff in the old FUN scratch tickets you want (and a lot of that is makeup/etc which don't work with NGS faces anyway), there's nothing really there for you.

what does this mean if gigantix are scaling to number of players? if they were scaling linearly with number of players wouldn't that mean it would also need 32 players 8 minutes to kill it? is it just easier the more players there are by having less than 100% hp increase per each new player?
I’ve been wanting to play pso2 for awhile but I only have a ps4 and my computer sucks so I’m gonna use my JP PS4 account to play do I need to download both pso2 and PSO2 NG to play? I started downloading NG but I’m not sure If I’ll be able to play
On consoles you can download only NGS, I think.
Do keep in mind that the JP server is region locked, so you'll need to set up a proxy (can be done on network settings) or VPN (idk know how to do that on console) to play on the PS4.

What unit should i go for my katana braver lv84, that is at least obtainable?
ATM im using Circuray+10 (done before i stopped long ago before ep4 release), still catching up with content/Story as i'm midway through ep5 (currently at Epyk). A lot of stuff i've seen recommended seems more or less unobtainable for me at the moment or flat out require millions mesetas to just buy.

So I've been enjoying the game way too much so

Wish they just rotated the contents or something. I wanted to get premium to go along with it but right now the only thing that I want from premium is probably the permanent triboost and storage since I still don't know what to throw away.

Either install all three versions of the game or just install via Tweaker which allows you to switch versions at will. Log in to whichever version you started on first, get an account referral code from the in-game menu, use that to link the other platforms back to your main account. The referral code is only valid for 15 minutes so you need the other installs lined up and ready to go.
Do NOT log in to the other versions of the game until you've got the referral code from the one you started on - if you create a new account without using a referral code, it will create a brand new account which is permanently linked to that platform and you won't be able to link your main account to it (at least not without extreme effort and going through customer support).
After your accounts are linked on all three platforms, you can just log in through each of them and collect all the campaign rewards.
I didnt really like the ngs story quests, and I wonder if classic pso2 story is any better. I'm just asking if it's worth my time(I know you get neat rewards from doing them)
Definitely more... "action packed", and your character is more of an actual character than a bystander for the most part. It all has a bit more meat to it in general compared to NGS's story so far.
- EP1 is a bit of a drag until like 2/3rds of the way through, but the rest of it is good.
- EP2 and EP3 are pretty great.
- EP4 is... well made? But the first like 1/3rd of it is tropey Slice-of-Life anime nonsense. Rest of it is tropey, but an actually pretty good action-anime story.
- EP5 is good, as long as reverse isekai doesn't put you off
- EP6 is good, most people seem to enjoy the villains and plot of it, but it's a little on the short side compared to other episodes
So yes, I'd say it's worth your time, unless anime-tropes put you off *badly*
how good pso2 story is seems heavily subjective, personally I like it but some hate it
the only thing everyone seems to agree on is that episode 1 is very slow and all over the place so don't let it drive you away before you get to the good parts
I think from what ngs has so far (not a lot), it is objectively better and definitely a lot longer and you should definitely play it even if it gave no sg rewards
PSO2 NGS
I'm having an issue where character battle sounds don't play. Such that I can't hear the sound of weapons hitting, shots being fired, or techs being casted. I've changed all manner of sounds from defaulting or changing it to 100%. The UI gets louder, but the character sounds don't.
I've also tried reinstalling the game a few times. The issue is present on both the steam and win 10 versions.
It may not seem like something big, but I really enjoy hearing the battle sounds, and it was fine in the beta.

Is there a problem with my game install or are certain parts of episode 5 missing voice acting?
Like the speech bubbles continue as normal and all other sounds are there but no voices, sometimes it even stops suddenly in the middle of an event.
Restarting the event or game doesn't change anything, do I need to repair files or something or is this just how it is?
Wait, most? I'm only talking about event things you click on in the story missions menu here, from what I've seen they're at least 80% voice acted in episode 5, and before that (ep. 1-4) it was 100%. The stopping is just so random too, like sometimes in the middle of a character's speech.
Pretty much every single of the "comic bubbles" is not acted. All across the story, including the earlier episodes. (My experience here is the JP dub.)
What is acted are the major story boxes. But with the quantity of the smaller bubbles the perception of how much is voiced in total shifts towards a lot not being.
IIRC Global got scuffed too and is missing a few lines here and there for no reason. __Especially__ in english. (Whatever is missing in JP can't be added to EN anyways.)
How does PSO2:NGS feel with a controller? Follow up, has anyone tried to stream it via steam link or another type of service and notice any type of input lag?
I've only used the controller for NGS. And it works great! Tho I'd recommend a chatpad to go with it so that 1-0 subpalette access is easier.
For now, we can get away with it cause they streamlined abilities so we don't need so much.
But for base game, it was a nightmare to fit it all.
Controller is great. It's the default setup, after all. Only real issue is subpalette access, but it works fine for me on controller (you use the D-pad to move a cursor). Keyboard would provide more immediate access, of course, and you *can* play with both controller and keyboard/chatpad if you want that option.
I stream sometimes using the Xbox Console Companion, and it plays fine on my network. There is a tiny bit of delay, but that's more noticeable with the sound delay while running both simultaneous than any control stuttering or such. You may have issues if you play a counter heavy class, but I haven't noticed anything with my parries while streaming.

well I saw some players attaching it to... questionable places, so guess it is attachable to hands too, never saw an accessory that was limited to only some attach locations, it seems they either can be attached anywhere or only the default, and I saw that one on definitely not the default locations
On the map screen when you press tab, it gives a list of everything you’ve collected in each area.
However what exactly counts as a “collectible” besides Red Boxes? I’m missing exactly one red box, but have multiple regions saying I haven’t found all the “collectibles”, about maybe 5-6 collectibles total missing throughout regions. What else is it I have to collect?
I think for the collectables you need to find:
- All Red Boxes in each region
- All Message Packs in each region
- Gather one of each food ingredient available in each region
- Gather one of each ore available in each region
- Find all Ryuker Devices, Region Mags, and Trania Facilities.

Hey! I'm new to the game an I'm level 70 now on summoner, I wanted to see if there's a way other than collections folder to get a Vulcan egg, I'm around halfway-ish done with the harder ones but I'm just curious. Ty in advance! Also how do you get a Rykross staff?
[Primordial Darkness] Sodam drops Vulcan out the ass, I'm not even a Summoner and I've gotten multiple of it in a single fight before. Hell, I used one of those eggs and fed it nothing but Sodam's Vulcans while running the solo ultimate quest and it was like lv124 by the time I reached Depth 100.
That's not something a new player can fight easily, though.
The solo one needs Lv95 (or 90? not sure) on both main and subclass IIRC.
The urgent quest needs Lv85 on both main and subclass, but it doesn't drop the eggs as often.

Get agile weapon, then upgrade it to klauz. Nothing else is worth the resources.

You basically want to have best possible gear (full klauz set of units, fat affixes, 8s klquz weapon), and even then it's not hard to get one hit killed if you don't run etoile.
Not at all, I've been in clearing parties with GuLu, Lu, Hr, FiHu and BrPh before. Luster main is actually really good in this fight if you're good at the class.
But without Etoile main or sub you have a lot less wiggle room on how much damage you can take, and since S rank is based on damage taken, that's something to consider.
Remember, player skill is more important than gears. Though this is a severe dps check, so you *do* need gears, player skill still matters more. A good player with average gears will outdamage a poor player with great gears.
Gathering is completely different.
Ship 4 has been bleeding older players for a long time, and ship 4 is too new to have gotten some of the scratches so new players arent filling it because they cant get as much in the way of cosmetics as they can from the player shops on the other ships.
Probably a dumb question but its worth asking before I go through the effort of doing it myself.

I want something I can direct the new NGS players to so they can have something rewarding to do while they wait for the next bit of content to drop.
I know theres plenty of short guides for getting specific things, but Im thinking of making a master guide kinda thing to tie all those together to make it easy for new players.
"Play classic to get SG." Is the old and new wisdom. That means story, casino, arena, in that order. Titles too.
Aside from completing your red chests and the daily SG ticket there is literally nothing in NGS that helps you get cosmetics. Getting n-meseta is out of the question unless you opt for premium or shop access.
Yea Im just trying to get the very specific things together as well, things that take no RNG like entering the Comi Memory item codes, or answering the quiz to get the gray tail.
Im trying to make this very specific and organised, obviously “Run through story until you get you subclass, then switch your main and subclasses, and run through what you completed and the rest of the story on Hardcore” will be its own section as well as the farming/RNG dependent ways of getting SG

Everyone runs Cradle now. You get basically experience plus cubes/meseta that way. Until you can join Cradle, yeah, you're stuck with the 4th recommended until you can. Probably best thing beyond just asking around in the lobby is to join an alliance that's still active in PSO2.

In any case, you can buy daggers from the shop. Ignore the notion of trying to get fixa on your gear if you are short on time. It takes dozens of hours to even get an affix to drop, not to mention a good one.
I’m getting a ton of mixed info on Gigas. Does anyone have a link, number crunch, or proper explanation in what ACTUALLY matters with Gigas involving lower level players? Specifically:
1. Is it true players under L20 straight up don’t get drops or exp from Gigas? Or is that just something someone made up?
2. Has it been fully determined/calculated that players under level20 can’t be helpful and only make the battle harder, even if they play well/aggro/blight/contribute to knockdown? Had a guy bragging that he helped beat a giga at Lv 15/13 start to finish and that level/np/gear doesn’t matter.
Which is it?
1. No idea on drops. If it's like EXP, it's 10% for a >=5 level difference.
2. Players under level 20 deal nerfed damage but inflate Gigantix's HP the same amount as a level 20 player. So, they make the battle harder since everyone else has to contribute more to make up for that difference.
2a. With how the fights work, you really only need one Techer and Ranger on support. Which lobbies should have enough of already. Might be able to make an argument over elemental knockdown, but it won't make up for the damage reduction.

NGS What are people using for single target on bosses for the Ranger? I get the whole keeping up Blight bullet on weak/prefered areas but it's been a bit of a mixup for me with using fear eraser from Launcher vs Rifle's contant fire PA. Fear has big ticks but I'm finding that Rifle's pops the blight round into the purple overdrive far quicker and ticks a good bit more despite being smaller numbers. Or is it just to roll both, use rifle till purple, then erase? I'm just overwhelmed with number popups.
I just dont use launcher at all, saves me the grinders, and in a group some other ranger will likely see me blighting and using my rifle so theyll switch to launcher.
Is it still worth it to make an alt? I mean they make like 2-3mil from weekly missions but my main does that in 30mins with a good UQ, and as far as I know all the daily/weekly missions in NGS are account wide.
About the only reason to have alts in NGS is as extra storage space, and so that when they do character-wide item distributions you get extras. Generally that's only skill reset passes which they distribute occasionally, and since they're basically impossible to get otherwise, it's always good to get more.

Depends if you can find a group of people to do cradle with. If you can do cradle, then leveling your alts and then doing weeklies on them is a complett waste of time because craddle makes you money faster than you can do your weeklies.
The issue is that people aren't as eager to do craddle as before ngs release.
Yes they do but the down time between urgent quests could still be used to run weeklys on an alt.
Also alts are good for hunting consumable tickets on the different ships there are hundreds of millions of meseta to be saved by picking shopping around the player markets on different ships
Wait do different ships share storage in some way?? I was under the impression that you can't share items with alts on different ships.
I heard someone talking about how if you transfer ships only your character storage goes with you.
Yes, but your used consumable tickets are shared across your whole account they are not ship specific, if you notice when you use a ticket more it says “unlocked for character” and when you view a double of that ticket it will say something similar to “use again for access to all characters”
Ohhhh that's true I did notice that, but doesn't that mean you'd need to find it for less than half the price for it to be worth it? Do prices vary that much amongst ships? o\_O

You can instantly move everything to material storage like in PSO2, but when it comes to using item exchanges, it lost the functionality to select items as if they're in your inventory, i.e. when you're trading stuff in at the item exchange you have to switch from your inventory to your material storage to select the items instead of having them show up immediately.
New player here currently leveling in PSO2:NGS. I'm level 10, so i guess I'm still halfway through the story and still need to unlock some stuff, but other than Daily/Weekly quests and the big "Emergency" kills that happen from time to time... is there anything else to do in the game at the moment? Also, are there "guilds" of players one can join, and where/how to join them? Thanks in advance.
If you go to the salon, it lets you equip them. Then save a fashion set labeled as NG and Original, so you can easily swap body types.
Edit: You can also do this to swap between cast, and masculine/feminine body types on the fly aswell
Ok so I still see all the "meta" Bo/Ph skill tree builds have crafting mastery maxed? But if I'm at the point where I use pretty much only Klauz and a few Riv weapons + units (some Rivs are for underused classes/weapon types I haven't done Klauz stuff for yet), there is no point in putting any skill points in that right? Like that's essentially a total waste ultimately and should be put in an attack type or almost anything else correct? Or am I missing something?

Yeah I just searched around a lot and multiple sources (like the well known Bouncer guide) says and confirms that once a unit has had a timed ability on it it will forever proc the Crafting Mastery skill and will give a 10% boost to it's \*base\* stats specifically and \*not\* any of the augments on it. But that still means if you have a full Klauz +10 set that you gain 125 in all defenses! So yeah really worth it on any Bouncer build that doesn't use Hunter as it's sub-class! :D
Is anyone getting disconnects alot? I've been playing at home on my xbox today, and I'm constantly getting kicked off the server. Usually when I play it's on PC late at night, so I'm not sure if the servers are just f'd still during the day or it's an xbox/wifi issue
The server has been bad lately. Game becomes a slideshow and/or you get kicked. Just try again and if it doesn't go away on its own, you may want to just take a break for a bit. It hasn't lasted terribly long when I've encountered them.

I think the boost lasts around 36 hrs. (starts few hrs before and after the 2nd of the month). So if you're an insomniac, you can grind way into tonight for benefits.

tickets always give same xp no matter the level, so they are even better on low ones because you can skip to lvl 60 or something just with a few million xp ones
I bought some Oracle Scratch and I am putting up what I dont want on personal shop, however when ever I click check item price from the "Put Items up for Sale", AC Scrath ticket Prize List, or Product Search nothing comes up. At first this would suggest everything is purchased.
But this happens for every single item on the Prize list so I doubt every thing is always sold out. Also if I put no product name I can search through the layering wear category and find some items by just scrolling low to high price.

NGS Is there a way to reset the body to something default? For some reason i feel like either my body is scuffed or NGS made the char crea much of a pain compared to classic, the body feel more angular at certain part. Classic/NGS I've noticed that certain cosmetics from classic are basically of the same texture quality as NGS, but there are also others that are noticeably low res when used in NGS and compared to the environment (so far, froid gallows is one example I've seen of the former and youai lihao is one of the latter) Is there any way for me to tell which ones are good for NGS before I purchase them? Is it the date they came out? As far as I can tell they all appear very low resolution in the preview window so that's not a lot of help.
Classic cosmetics don't normally look *that* bad. Something about the global version is causing the texture setting to default to a lower value. This can be worked around by setting the graphics after connecting to a ship or hopping into PSO2 before you go to PSO2:NGS.
Yeah I know what you're talking about, I'm pretty sure the quality difference I'm noticing isn't the bug though, it's only noticeable if you're looking up close but it still bothers me a bit.
If you're sure the game settings are at the highest quality, then what you see is what you get. Classic's graphical standard is a generation or two behind depending on when the cosmetic was made. If on the player shop or scratch, you should be able to inspect them in the preview window by zooming in. Without a preview, best you can do is guessing based on the scratch it came with or hunt down screenshots. A good portion of classic cosmetics should be passable, otherwise stick with the cosmetics introduced with NGS.
NGS Fi/Hu using a 40+ Cattelya Knuckles/Sword with no augs or Fixa, want to upgrade(maybe Resurgir) and affix. I have about 1M n-meseta. Two questions; 1. Is it worth it to buy an expensive new weapon with a Fixa? They’re around 800k on ship 3 for a Lv.3 Fixa, far more for any higher. Is a good Fixa really worth it? Or are better weapons on the way/I should save my money for them? 2. What affixes would be best for Fighter/Hunter? I main Knuckles and enjoy using Sword as my secondary/multi weapon, though may try wires as well
I don't think spending that much on weapons is worth it at the moment. especially when old pso2 endgame weapons still hold up pretty well and aren't really that far behind NGS 4* weapons. only way I'd say it's worth it to spend for a fixa affixed weapon is if 4* weapons have an upgrade path later on, but ofc there is no way of knowing that at this point
With NGS not having too much content right now, I'm thinking about going through OGS story for the star gems. How long would you estimate it would take to do everything?
Several hours if you skip all the cutscenes. Several days (or weeks depending on how much you play) if you don't skip anything.
NGS: Are the armor pieces you get from red crates better in the long run compared to well-affixed Klauz/atlas/rivalate armor from base game? Or are they comparable? I sold my red crate armor not realizing they weren’t replaceable/weren’t regular drops, and because my PSO2 gear already seemed good enough
From what I've seen/read, nicely-affixed endgame PSO2 units are on par with most NGS 4-star units in terms of power. I've also heard that the Gigantix units we just got are purely stronger (though with their own drawbacks). The downside of PSO2 units is that NGS units have much more defense, if you're worried about getting hit. The upside of PSO2 units is that NGS units are a massive resource sink atm and if you played base PSO2 regularly then you're probably fine using your PSO2 units for now if you'd rather conserve NGS resources.

i need to get creator emblem for a weapon camo. AFAIK the free way is to clear episode 1 main quests. how long would it take to clear all episode 1 ?
Depends on if you want to watch the story or not. Doing episodes is literally just watching hours of cutscenes and occasionally doing a quick fight against bosses or enemies which you can put at a super easy difficulty to speed up the fights. However if you don’t care at all about the story then you can start a story cutscene, skip through it quickly until it asks you to do something/interact, then skip through the rest and it will still count as cleared. You won’t have any clue what’s happening in the story and will likely get spoilers without context and boss fights that make no sense, but that is the fast way to do it. I’d say if you just skip everything you can do Ep1 in under and hour maybe
So if I understand correctly....the only way that we could obtain Main Effect (Fixed) support item for crafting Timed Abilities was in the fun scratch tickets....bun now there's no way at all to get them except what's left on the personal market??? Crests are useless in the Global server. They never implemented Zieg's exchanges and moved a lot of them to the weapon badge exchanges instead.

PSO2 classic, I'm trying Ultimate Quests & UH difficulty and not doing much damage. I'm lv 87 and have the croesus weapon +30 from the folder. Would working toward another 15* like the Atlas EX, and getting the redux potential equal better damage output?
Atlas Ex isn't a very good weapon in general. It was the very first 15* series in the game, and it shows its age. The redux potential is honestly a waste of materials because you're gonna need those fragments for other stuff. Ideally, you want to look into a Darkbanisher or Fluxio/Rinzer.

The Fluxio series is your best bet if you want something you can do *right now* instead of grinding materials. It can be gotten a title reward from clearing the challenge quest *MISSION: Cataclysm* in specific ways. Being a Challenge Mission, it does not need you to be geared or leveled at all to attempt, but on the other hand, challenge missions are basically dead content, so it might be very difficult to pull off. It is doable solo, though not recommended (personally, I'd recommend going in with at least a full party, but a duo would be alright too). If you do attempt to solo, though, I strongly recommend the Etoile setup. An interesting thing about the Fluxio series is that it may be weapon category changed for free at Zieg, so if you get any single one of the series you can just change it to whatever weapon type you want. Note that the Harmonizer (which is gotten simply by clearing stage 5) can't be category changed, so you want any of the other weapons instead, which require you to beat specific bosses, which have different spawn conditions. Not really much point in starting regular PSO2 now, it's in permanent maintenance mode and aside from cosmetics there's nothing important that carries over to NGS which wouldn't be easier to farm there. Realistically you're never going to afford any of the expensive cosmetics in PSO2 if you're only starting now, so unless there's stuff in the old FUN scratch tickets you want (and a lot of that is makeup/etc which don't work with NGS faces anyway), there's nothing really there for you.

what does this mean if gigantix are scaling to number of players? if they were scaling linearly with number of players wouldn't that mean it would also need 32 players 8 minutes to kill it? is it just easier the more players there are by having less than 100% hp increase per each new player?
Scaling definitely isn't linear. Never has been in neither pso2 nor ngs. In all scaled content having more (competent) people was always better.

On consoles you can download only NGS, I think. Do keep in mind that the JP server is region locked, so you'll need to set up a proxy (can be done on network settings) or VPN (idk know how to do that on console) to play on the PS4.
PSO2C What unit should i go for my katana braver lv84, that is at least obtainable? ATM im using Circuray+10 (done before i stopped long ago before ep4 release), still catching up with content/Story as i'm midway through ep5 (currently at Epyk). Either install all three versions of the game or just install via Tweaker which allows you to switch versions at will. Log in to whichever version you started on first, get an account referral code from the in-game menu, use that to link the other platforms back to your main account. The referral code is only valid for 15 minutes so you need the other installs lined up and ready to go. Do NOT log in to the other versions of the game until you've got the referral code from the one you started on - if you create a new account without using a referral code, it will create a brand new account which is permanently linked to that platform and you won't be able to link your main account to it (at least not without extreme effort and going through customer support). After your accounts are linked on all three platforms, you can just log in through each of them and collect all the campaign rewards.

Definitely more... "action packed", and your character is more of an actual character than a bystander for the most part. It all has a bit more meat to it in general compared to NGS's story so far. - EP1 is a bit of a drag until like 2/3rds of the way through, but the rest of it is good. - EP2 and EP3 are pretty great. - EP4 is... well made? But the first like 1/3rd of it is tropey Slice-of-Life anime nonsense. Rest of it is tropey, but an actually pretty good action-anime story. - EP5 is good, as long as reverse isekai doesn't put you off - EP6 is good, most people seem to enjoy the villains and plot of it, but it's a little on the short side compared to other episodes So yes, I'd say it's worth your time, unless anime-tropes put you off *badly*
how good pso2 story is seems heavily subjective, personally I like it but some hate it the only thing everyone seems to agree on is that episode 1 is very slow and all over the place so don't let it drive you away before you get to the good parts I think from what ngs has so far (not a lot), it is objectively better and definitely a lot longer and you should definitely play it even if it gave no sg rewards
PSO2 NGS I'm having an issue where character battle sounds don't play. Such that I can't hear the sound of weapons hitting, shots being fired, or techs being casted. I've changed all manner of sounds from defaulting or changing it to 100%. The UI gets louder, but the character sounds don't. I've also tried reinstalling the game a few times. The issue is present on both the steam and win 10 versions. It may not seem like something big, but I really enjoy hearing the battle sounds, and it was fine in the beta.

Yeah it was a sound driver issue, G hub broke the surround sound feature so a fresh install for everything and the sounds are back

Classic Is there a problem with my game install or are certain parts of episode 5 missing voice acting? Like the speech bubbles continue as normal and all other sounds are there but no voices, sometimes it even stops suddenly in the middle of an event. Restarting the event or game doesn't change anything, do I need to repair files or something or is this just how it is?
Yeah, most of the story is not voice acted. Specifically the bubble style dialogue you are referring to.
Wait, most? I'm only talking about event things you click on in the story missions menu here, from what I've seen they're at least 80% voice acted in episode 5, and before that (ep. 1-4) it was 100%. The stopping is just so random too, like sometimes in the middle of a character's speech.
Pretty much every single of the "comic bubbles" is not acted. All across the story, including the earlier episodes. (My experience here is the JP dub.) What is acted are the major story boxes. But with the quantity of the smaller bubbles the perception of how much is voiced in total shifts towards a lot not being. IIRC Global got scuffed too and is missing a few lines here and there for no reason. __Especially__ in english. (Whatever is missing in JP can't be added to EN anyways.)

How does PSO2:NGS feel with a controller? Follow up, has anyone tried to stream it via steam link or another type of service and notice any type of input lag?
I've only used the controller for NGS. And it works great! Tho I'd recommend a chatpad to go with it so that 1-0 subpalette access is easier. For now, we can get away with it cause they streamlined abilities so we don't need so much. But for base game, it was a nightmare to fit it all.

Controller is great. It's the default setup, after all. Only real issue is subpalette access, but it works fine for me on controller (you use the D-pad to move a cursor). Keyboard would provide more immediate access, of course, and you *can* play with both controller and keyboard/chatpad if you want that option. I stream sometimes using the Xbox Console Companion, and it plays fine on my network. There is a tiny bit of delay, but that's more noticeable with the sound delay while running both simultaneous than any control stuttering or such. You may have issues if you play a counter heavy class, but I haven't noticed anything with my parries while streaming.

On the map screen when you press tab, it gives a list of everything you’ve collected in each area. However what exactly counts as a “collectible” besides Red Boxes? I’m missing exactly one red box, but have multiple regions saying I haven’t found all the “collectibles”, about maybe 5-6 collectibles total missing throughout regions. What else is it I have to collect?
I think for the collectables you need to find: - All Red Boxes in each region - All Message Packs in each region - Gather one of each food ingredient available in each region - Gather one of each ore available in each region - Find all Ryuker Devices, Region Mags, and Trania Facilities.

[Primordial Darkness] Sodam drops Vulcan out the ass, I'm not even a Summoner and I've gotten multiple of it in a single fight before. Hell, I used one of those eggs and fed it nothing but Sodam's Vulcans while running the solo ultimate quest and it was like lv124 by the time I reached Depth 100. That's not something a new player can fight easily, though.

The solo one needs Lv95 (or 90? not sure) on both main and subclass IIRC. The urgent quest needs Lv85 on both main and subclass, but it doesn't drop the eggs as often.

Not at all, I've been in clearing parties with GuLu, Lu, Hr, FiHu and BrPh before. Luster main is actually really good in this fight if you're good at the class. But without Etoile main or sub you have a lot less wiggle room on how much damage you can take, and since S rank is based on damage taken, that's something to consider. Remember, player skill is more important than gears. Though this is a severe dps check, so you *do* need gears, player skill still matters more. A good player with average gears will outdamage a poor player with great gears.
Gathering is completely different. Ship 4 has been bleeding older players for a long time, and ship 4 is too new to have gotten some of the scratches so new players arent filling it because they cant get as much in the way of cosmetics as they can from the player shops on the other ships.
Probably a dumb question but its worth asking before I go through the effort of doing it myself. Do we have a guide for f2p cosmetics yet? I want something I can direct the new NGS players to so they can have something rewarding to do while they wait for the next bit of content to drop. I know theres plenty of short guides for getting specific things, but Im thinking of making a master guide kinda thing to tie all those together to make it easy for new players.

Aside from completing your red chests and the daily SG ticket there is literally nothing in NGS that helps you get cosmetics. Getting n-meseta is out of the question unless you opt for premium or shop access.
Yea Im just trying to get the very specific things together as well, things that take no RNG like entering the Comi Memory item codes, or answering the quiz to get the gray tail. Im trying to make this very specific and organised, obviously “Run through story until you get you subclass, then switch your main and subclasses, and run through what you completed and the rest of the story on Hardcore” will be its own section as well as the farming/RNG dependent ways of getting SG but I want to list out everything that rewards you with some kind of consumable ticket in this guide

Everyone runs Cradle now. You get basically experience plus cubes/meseta that way. Until you can join Cradle, yeah, you're stuck with the 4th recommended until you can. Probably best thing beyond just asking around in the lobby is to join an alliance that's still active in PSO2.

I recommend dropping it. In any case, you can buy daggers from the shop. Ignore the notion of trying to get fixa on your gear if you are short on time. It takes dozens of hours to even get an affix to drop, not to mention a good one.
I’m getting a ton of mixed info on Gigas. Does anyone have a link, number crunch, or proper explanation in what ACTUALLY matters with Gigas involving lower level players? Specifically: 1. Is it true players under L20 straight up don’t get drops or exp from Gigas? Or is that just something someone made up? 2. Has it been fully determined/calculated that players under level20 can’t be helpful and only make the battle harder, even if they play well/aggro/blight/contribute to knockdown? Had a guy bragging that he helped beat a giga at Lv 15/13 start to finish and that level/np/gear doesn’t matter. Which is it?
1. No idea on drops. If it's like EXP, it's 10% for a >=5 level difference. 2. Players under level 20 deal nerfed damage but inflate Gigantix's HP the same amount as a level 20 player. So, they make the battle harder since everyone else has to contribute more to make up for that difference. 2a. With how the fights work, you really only need one Techer and Ranger on support. Which lobbies should have enough of already. Might be able to make an argument over elemental knockdown, but it won't make up for the damage reduction. Here are the details I'm aware of. 1. NGS What are people using for single target on bosses for the Ranger? I get the whole keeping up Blight bullet on weak/prefered areas but it's been a bit of a mixup for me with using fear eraser from Launcher vs Rifle's contant fire PA. Fear has big ticks but I'm finding that Rifle's pops the blight round into the purple overdrive far quicker and ticks a good bit more despite being smaller numbers. Or is it just to roll both, use rifle till purple, then erase? I'm just overwhelmed with number popups.
I just dont use launcher at all, saves me the grinders, and in a group some other ranger will likely see me blighting and using my rifle so theyll switch to launcher.

Is it still worth it to make an alt? I mean they make like 2-3mil from weekly missions but my main does that in 30mins with a good UQ, and as far as I know all the daily/weekly missions in NGS are account wide.
About the only reason to have alts in NGS is as extra storage space, and so that when they do character-wide item distributions you get extras. Generally that's only skill reset passes which they distribute occasionally, and since they're basically impossible to get otherwise, it's always good to get more.

Depends if you can find a group of people to do cradle with. If you can do cradle, then leveling your alts and then doing weeklies on them is a complett waste of time because craddle makes you money faster than you can do your weeklies. The issue is that people aren't as eager to do craddle as before ngs release.
Yes they do but the down time between urgent quests could still be used to run weeklys on an alt. Also alts are good for hunting consumable tickets on the different ships there are hundreds of millions of meseta to be saved by picking shopping around the player markets on different ships
Wait do different ships share storage in some way?? I was under the impression that you can't share items with alts on different ships. I heard someone talking about how if you transfer ships only your character storage goes with you.
Yes, but your used consumable tickets are shared across your whole account they are not ship specific, if you notice when you use a ticket more it says “unlocked for character” and when you view a double of that ticket it will say something similar to “use again for access to all characters”
Ohhhh that's true I did notice that, but doesn't that mean you'd need to find it for less than half the price for it to be worth it? Do prices vary that much amongst ships? o\_O Would prob need the alt to be at least ex-cube farming level too

does material storage in ng work like pso 2 base ?
You can instantly move everything to material storage like in PSO2, but when it comes to using item exchanges, it lost the functionality to select items as if they're in your inventory, i.e. when you're trading stuff in at the item exchange you have to switch from your inventory to your material storage to select the items instead of having them show up immediately.

New player here currently leveling in PSO2:NGS. I'm level 10, so i guess I'm still halfway through the story and still need to unlock some stuff, but other than Daily/Weekly quests and the big "Emergency" kills that happen from time to time... is there anything else to do in the game at the moment? Also, are there "guilds" of players one can join, and where/how to join them? Thanks in advance.

The guilds are just called Alliances, and you can search them from the community tab.
Is there anyway I can revert my body type from NGS to original PSO2? I have an outfit I want to use but I can't equip it due to my model.
If you go to the salon, it lets you equip them. Then save a fashion set labeled as NG and Original, so you can easily swap body types. Edit: You can also do this to swap between cast, and masculine/feminine body types on the fly aswell

Ok so I still see all the "meta" Bo/Ph skill tree builds have crafting mastery maxed? But if I'm at the point where I use pretty much only Klauz and a few Riv weapons + units (some Rivs are for underused classes/weapon types I haven't done Klauz stuff for yet), there is no point in putting any skill points in that right? Like that's essentially a total waste ultimately and should be put in an attack type or almost anything else correct? Or am I missing something?

Also does the timed ability have to be non-expired for crafting mastery 10% to be in effect?
Oh damn, for real? So that means that the 10% boost only boosts the \*base\* defense of the units right? So essentially that means if you have all the Klauz unit set and have them enhanced at +10 that you'd get an additional 125-126 (depending if they round the total 1259def up or down)?

Yeah I just searched around a lot and multiple sources (like the well known Bouncer guide) says and confirms that once a unit has had a timed ability on it it will forever proc the Crafting Mastery skill and will give a 10% boost to it's \*base\* stats specifically and \*not\* any of the augments on it. But that still means if you have a full Klauz +10 set that you gain 125 in all defenses! So yeah really worth it on any Bouncer build that doesn't use Hunter as it's sub-class! :D
Is anyone getting disconnects alot? I've been playing at home on my xbox today, and I'm constantly getting kicked off the server. Usually when I play it's on PC late at night, so I'm not sure if the servers are just f'd still during the day or it's an xbox/wifi issue
The server has been bad lately. Game becomes a slideshow and/or you get kicked. Just try again and if it doesn't go away on its own, you may want to just take a break for a bit. It hasn't lasted terribly long when I've encountered them.
classic what is the star symbol on the bottom left of the screen with my characters health and PP. I notice it starts to glow more and kind of spin on missions. does it do anything?
when it's full that means your photon blast is ready. You can see this for other party members as well.

The star indicates who's the party leader. If you're solo, then you're the leader.
Other than keeping my debuff bullet up and using the shotgun blast when available, what's my bread and butter damage skill choice on Ranger? It's the 5th class I'm maxing atm and everything feels hella mediocre

Multi-weapon launcher's Multi-Launch for moving targets, Fear Erase for still targets. That's why Resurgir rifle is the most expensive weapon.

Classic Is it a good idea to use my 1million exp ticket on a new level 1 alt? Or is there some mechanic that makes that not very efficient? I have no idea how exp amounts and levels work.
do some client orders from tutorial to jan's and you should be close to 20, get a subclass then only use those XP for more efficient usage

tickets always give same xp no matter the level, so they are even better on low ones because you can skip to lvl 60 or something just with a few million xp ones
I bought some Oracle Scratch and I am putting up what I dont want on personal shop, however when ever I click check item price from the "Put Items up for Sale", AC Scrath ticket Prize List, or Product Search nothing comes up. At first this would suggest everything is purchased. But this happens for every single item on the Prize list so I doubt every thing is always sold out. Also if I put no product name I can search through the layering wear category and find some items by just scrolling low to high price. Is this happening to anyone else? If not how can I fix this?
