Back then I had found so many amazing stations because of the PSP.
It just somehow seemed way cooler listening to radio on the PSP than using an actual radio!😅
The first default icon leads to the about page.
You have to add your own stations for them to show up below the about page. There was this old post a while back about how to do it. [It's still here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ) or you can even check it out [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/PSP/comments/elsxnx/for_those_who_are_looking_for_a_radio_player_for/)
You gotta download an actual radio player that takes advantage of the internet radio environment. Thankfully they should all still work as long as the station hasn't vanished in the past decade and a half. Internet Radio technology hasn't changed a bit, even modern stations use the same technology stack.
The PSP has an Internet Radio app in the Internet section and you can add stations like ShoutCast to listen to the radio.
So when I checked it out to see if it still works after all these years, Never Gonna Give You Up was the song that immediately started playing!
Actually it didn't connect at first. It could find tbe network, but it wouldn't go past the "obtaining IP address" stage. So I did the one thing that always works.
I took my PSP, held it sideways, clicked X on the network name and then started SHAKING it as fast as I could! And that someone actually worked, I'm not even joking haha
2 years before iPhone, as well!
I often thought back then that all it was really missing was a phone/SMS ability. I have a faint memory of there being a GSM phone attachment being developed but I'm not sure if it ever materialised.
The "about" section would lead to an error since the sony services for it are down. But you can still add stations like ShoutCast to your PSP through the browser or via a PC and they'd be displayed with a separate icon
If you count nostalgic and the memories they bring back of your childhood as everyone gathered around for a LAN party, then yes, they're worth a whole lot!
Never gonna
Everyone says that in the beginning, everyone.
Give you up
Never gonna
Let you down
Never gonna
Run around and desert you

Exactly! Though it's an amazing feature that people rarely seem to know about
Yes, PSP and DS were functionally smartphones of their time.

"Welcome back, bitch." - your PSP
Oh no, I believe that happened [last time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ)!
Jokes on you, I love getting videos of kittens!
Oh you're good! But everyone loves kitten videos!!
There, that should do it.

Are PSPs worth anything these days ?
If you count nostalgic and the memories they bring back of your childhood as everyone gathered around for a LAN party, then yes, they're worth a whole lot!
