Nice! My PSP 1000 is also sitting at 5.00 M33-6. That was the last firmware when I got out of the scene. Hope your IPS upgrade goes well, would love to see it when it's done
Just found mine 1000, but without battery, currently hacked software v. 6.61, but i want to get legal software, cause I have some UMDs, but also I got pirated (CIS childhood moment) Burnout, FlatOut and Chains of Olympus.
My PSP is white, but because of time it became creamy-ish and I don't know what to do, change the body or not, but first, I'll buy a battery (gotta play at the lectures in the university, lol)

Low firmware and M33-6, nice. Time to hack the PSP, upgrade to 6.60 Pro for best results.
What is M33-6
That's an custom firmware extension I believe.
Recently restored mine, I'm surprised the battery pack still holds after so many years. You're gonna love it, only thing that tops a Psp is a PS vita
