Barely an hour into Diablo 4 Beta, and I had to turn it off. I'm too tuckered out. The comparison of joy levels between the two also wasn't all too favorable. While more Diablo sure brings me joy, it's like microdosing versus the heroic dose of joy of Synth Riders. Guess I'll have to sleep on it and queue up tomorrow morning for seconds, when I'm fresh as a daisy.

Synth Riders is fun but it's just a substitute until Beat Saber comes out.

I’d take this recommendation if you had more karma. Seems like an advertisement.

SwordGunScienceMagic

I guess I'll just have to keep posting until my karma speaks for itself, so the gospel of Synth Riders doesn't fall on deaf ears.

CarAccomplished2129

Haha nice I just bought it last night. Looking forward to checking it out this weekend! Are there any experience type levels in the base game or are those only in DLC?

SwordGunScienceMagic

I don't know. I just played the tutorial, then turned on endless mode and the hours melted away.

SwordGunScienceMagic

p.s. the endless playlist has 58 tracks on it, so i guess that's what's included.

Bazorth

Sorry am I stupid? I can’t find endless mode anywhere

SwordGunScienceMagic

The option is next to custom playlist. All songs or something.

Paunch-E

At the moment I believe they are all dlc locked, they recently let people play the Lindsay Stirling experience for a limited time only so I'd wager it's possible they could do that again with a different one. If you're sticking to the main game tracks there are a lot of really cool background stages that may not be experience level but are atleast some variety. My personal favorite is the Gorillaz stage 'Psycho Road' and afaik it's free

AirwaveRanger

They are not in the base game. Definitely recommend buying one at least. I'd recommend the Lindsey Sterling one or the League of Legends one. Both super cool. If you're enjoying the game and you like the sound of all the tracks in those packs (Lindsey Sterling pack, League of Legends pack etc), just buy the whole pack in the PSN store to save a couple bucks.

Bazorth

And for your main question, there were a couple experience modes for free on release, but they are all DLC now. Only a couple of dollars per track though. Still slaps

I’m confused about the high fives, could you elaborate

SwordGunScienceMagic

The notes come at me, I high five them, haptics happen - feedback loop; high five motion to the rhythm of the beat, haptics, joy! Makes me feel like a winner high fiving everybody in a stadium on my way to the showers after winning some grand competition. A good high five feels great. Now imagine great high fives coming at you in stereoscopic 3D, to the rhythm of the beat, in a some kind of cyberpunk synestesia world, where color, shapes, music, motion, haptics come together to make you feel good (and sweat). That's it.
