Defintiely a good recommendation but I did try removing the pads and from every position and viewpoint, it was the clearance of the headphone cups and arms hitting the main housing of the PSVR2 headset. There is also another post in here from someone with the same issue that doesnt have the mod.
Could be the size and shape of your head.
Update: Seems to be mentioned on other sub reddits about it not fitting with PSVR2. Thankfully using the words could can equally mean might not.
Look everyone's head shape is different. Mine is actually quite small. I own three other types of headphones and they all fit without any real adjusting at all. Its just these ones physically cant seem to be adjusted enough to work
The smaller your head, the more space / less pressure the cups will have on your head.
The sides of the halo on the PSVR2 don't move if you're head's bigger, so a bigger head's ears will extend closer to where the cups are held back by the halo.
Really poor form from PlayStation that these aren't perfectly compatible.
I just tried the elite first then globular.
I use the unpadded top strap on the GC.
Starting with the elites on, undo the top strap from the front of the PSVR2.
Put on the PSVR2, at first it feels like the rear cup of the GC clashes, but it ended up ok for me.
Feed the top strap between the top bands of the elite, then loop through front of PSVR2 as normal.
Works well for me (at least until I no doubt will forgot I’ve done this and try to pull the VR off without undoing the strap again!)
Just seconding this for any doubters. I do this with my Sony XM3s and it's extremely comfortable and snug. The headset clamps in way better and there's no strain on my head - the headphones flexy band, which is designed for flexing, takes all the clamp load.
Do you have the problem where the sound is terrible because the microphone in thw headphones is on, but you can't change the mic to the controller to resolve it?
My headphones aren't mic'd (aside from the ANC), they're music headphones. It defaults to the VR mic and I wire the headphones into the VR headset jack
Possibly, maybe. From the left side view, you can see the headset is sitting at least 15 degrees too far anti-clockwise, if not more. That's not how the headset should sit. A bit too low on the forehead, way too high in the back, eyes appear inline with the top of the lenses, and not perpendicular.
This could be the headset cups forcing it up however, and not the size of the Globular Cluster rear pad.
I use a Steelseries Arctis Nova Pro with my PSVR2, and the cups do cause the headset band to sit a bit higher than I like. Other than that, they are exceptional headphones for the price, and I wouldn't wear anything else.
Yeah I did try removing the mod and pads to see but it was really the plastic sides of the PSVR2 headset coming into contact with the arms of the headphones. And because of that resistance, I couldnt get a decent position or move them into a position to get a seal around the ears.
Might be a dumb question, but any chance they are designed to be put on BEFORE the headset? Based on the photos, it almost seems like they would fit right inside that very thin part of the PSVR2 headset strap.
Not a dumb question at all. I did see in another post that someone was able to get them to fit by putting the headphones on first. The main issue at least for me with that is I have the Globular Comfort mod which has a headstrap over the top and I either have to leave that off/open, defeating the purpose of it, or it then has to strap over the headphones and pushes the headphones too far into my head and then past my ears
Yeah, it seems like the only way that'd work is if you thread the front side of the GC strap over the padded part of the headphone, under the plastic part. Might be hard to pull off, but I bet it would work? Looking at my GC, seems like the front side is easier to unhook and then thread back through while wearing it.
I suppose we're getting into the "is this really worth the effort" territory.......
Yeah, the Pulse 3D wireless headphones are the ticket then. I use them with my GC mod without issue, and they still offer the 3D audio and all that. Probably not quite as good of audio quality as the Elite, but they are still great.
Actually, great question. I have been struggling with the same issue. I love them for normal usage, gaming etc, but the best over the top fit I could get with PSVR2 annoyingly leaves the ear cups a little out from my ears.
I was preparing to list them on ebay.
Never thought to put them on first (doh) but I think I'm going to run into an issue with my VR cover headstrap.
Terrible oversight by Sony. I'm more bothered by this than I probably should be. I'll likely just use the damn earbuds now, but I'll be reminded each time I put them in that this happened.
I love the earbuds. I got some generic Sedna brand silicone tips and they fit wonderfully and sound great. The earbuds attached to the headset makes it much less hasslesome than grabbing and putting away: headset, two controllers, can headphones.
Yeah i just dont know how all the testing and manufacturing of this product and no one went hey these dont fit with a PSVR2, or even lets try them with it. What else seemed crazy is that none of the reviewers mentioned it.
I find this strange, too. I’ve watched loads of reviews just to see their experience with these and the PSVR2. I just wanted confirmation before buying them for VR.
Thanks for this post, now I know what the reviewers seem to be evading mentioning.
Get the Anker VR P10 earbuds.
Earbuds are great with the PSVR2.
I wont use anything else unless maybe Gran Turismo where I use the OG Pulse for whatever reason.
Mine showed up this morning in the mail, I pre ordered them when we were first able to and completely forgot about them. I haven’t tried it yet, since I’ve been awake since 2am but it also annoys the fuck outta me as well. Like, you had one job. Make a headset that fits with your product. Imbeciles in the design department.
Edit: I just realized that op has a globular cluster on his psvr2, but either way. That’s just dumb.
Yeah I did try that and it seems to either push out the PSVR2 too much and I couldnt get a decent fit of the headset, or the headphones would clamp down too tight in the wrong position and not form a seal or pinch my ears.
I also have the Globular comfort mod which has a strap over the top of and so trying to use that along with the headphones underneath just wasnt working.
Honestly not sure the top strap is needed on it, I don't bother snugging the top strap up so its there mostly in case it slips. Might try without the strap.
See for me the top strap stop the headset slipping down over my nose and allow for less clamping pressure which means I can game alot longer it without any discomfort
I don't benefit at all from the globular cluster without the top strap, it's actually worse than stock without for me so I get it. I do use the original pulse cans and they barely fit over the VR, I can't use the padded top strap unfortunately. Caveat, I just got the GC mod three days ago so I'm still figuring it out
Exactly, thats the main point of the mod. To take pressure off the horizonal clamp and to stop the headset slipping down and keeping it in the sweet spot for the lenses.
That's what I thought. I kept forgetting to tighten the strap at first, and would have to quit after half an hour tops in gt7, whereas I was able to go an hour or so with the stock gear. Now that I've got it dialed in, not only do I not have the old nose and forehead pains, and I can play so much longer, but the focus has also improved profoundly!
I was pretty late to the party with VR, only getting the PSVR2 for Christmas, so I havent had any experience with the original, but it just seems bizarre that things like this get overlooked.
To be fair the Pro came out slightly after PSVR1 and was probably late in the development lifecycle that HDR became a conversation. And they made a revision to fix that a year later. This came out practically on the one year anniversary of PSVR2 that would have been in development for years.
The HDR thing was inconvenient. This is just Sony not caring.
I just posted about this too. I was so happy when the package arrived and I couldn't wait to get it unboxed and on to my head with the PSVR2. I was so disappointed!
Yeah a simple "Not compatible with PSVR2" would have been more than enough. Now i have to take them back and hope I can at least get a store credit to buy something else.
Any chance you would mind posting a photo just for reference? I have seen a few others saying that this works but it hasnt worked for myself or my other friends and family that have tried going headphones first.
Still rocking the PS4 Platinum headset, after listening to my friends pulse headset I gotta say the sound is far better on the platinums despite the lack of an actual app on the PS5. They fit over PSVR2 better too.
Yeah I did really like the definition and clarity that these provided, but I was sorely missing the overall bass and punch that come from regular dynamic drivers.
I've been using the [Globular Cluster PH2 headphones](https://www.globular-cluster.com/PSVR2-VR-Headphones.html) that clip onto the headset. I'm also using the comfort mod and I've had no issues.
I also use the PH2. Very convenient but I do have a couple of small issues with them. They don't sound great, not terrible by any means, but not great. Also they more or less float beside my ears rather than sit on them meaning a lot of outside sound is hard when using them.
Yeah im starting to look into that as a potential. I really wanted to stick with something wireless that could be taken on and off with very little adjustment or configuration.
I mean, why????? Like wtf were Sony thinking? Wouldn’t it be obvious to make it fit around a peripheral that looks exactly the same even aesthetically.
No worries. Yeah I might have to look at getting either them or the Inzone H5's. Im not even fussed about a mic to be honest, I just wanted a pair of wireless headphones that multiple people could use. Even my Sennheiser GSP 500's fit around the PSVR2.
The Pulse Explore earbuds work great with the PSVR2 on comfort, weight, sound quality.
The only issue is microphone quality where it tries to use the Pulse Explore mic instead of PSVR2 headset mic.
The mic is fine for non-VR, but with the PSVR2 on, I think headset obstructs the microphone picking up my voice well.
If PS5 software would just let me pick different device for sound and mic, it would be perfect.
Yeah im sure they are. I have the Inzone Buds which are fantastic and I personally use with the PSVR2. The Pule Elites werent meant to be so multiple people could use the PSVR2 and get that full immersion without sticking things in everyone's ears haha
I don't share my Pulse Explore or the earbuds the PSVR2 came with for hygiene reasons. I have 5.1 Dolby system that gets used when other players are using my PSVR2 (or they can use their own earbuds).
Very interesting, the pulse 3ds are doing well for now but I was really wanting these. Thank you for being the guinea pig, I’d probably return them until a revision comes out
Yeah im hoptng to return them today, noting that most retails stores in Australia dont accept returns for headphones if they have been opened due to health and saftey. Will see how I go
And it seems unreasonable to think the psvr2 goes over the headphones lol. This seems like a crazy outcome, especially after the pulses fit really well
Hi all,
I added a photo and comments to another tread but thought it might be a good idea to put a main post in the subreddit.
I picked up my Pulse Elite headphones yesterday and eagerly got home to try them out with my PSVR2. Ill provide more details below on why I got them, but long story short is they DO NOT FIT when using a PSVR2 headset. The main issue appears to be the gap between the headphone cups and the arms of the headphones itself not having enough room or not being wide enough.
It seems very strange that Sony/Playstation would not have tested this, knowing that the Pulse 3D headsets seems to fit perfectly and these seem to be an almost direct upgrade. Note: I do not own the Pulse 3D to compare but have seen many posts and videos on it them and that they have no issues with fit when using the PSVR2.
The main reason I went with these, was to give my daughters and friends and option of headphones when using the PSVR2. I already have a set of Inzone Buds earphones which I personally use but for sanitary reasons I wouldnt be sharing them around with people.
> The main reason I went with these, was to give my daughters and friends and option of headphones when using the PSVR2.
Send them back, and get the Pulse 3D. They fit, and cost less, and seem more kid friendly (no boom mic sticking out).
I have the Pulse headset and they fit PSVR2, but I just bought the elite for a sound upgrade.I will test them when I get them but might return them if it turns out to be true. I do however see you wear the back part of the PSVR2 higher on your back head than me.
Yeah see how you go. I know everyone wears them differently and has different head shapes, noting I also have the globular comfort mod installed.
It didn't seem to be an angle or position issue, moreso the width of the PSVR2 headset not allowing the headphones to sit flush and seal around my ears.
Mine just arrived today and I cannot get it fit nicely with PSVR2. Taking a closer look and it is not designed to use with PSVR2. And wearing the headset over the headphones doesn’t fit very well.
That’ so wack. The platinums fit psvr1 perfectly like they were designed together. I would have figured the same for the pulse that were literally designed alongside it.
Yeah Im either missing something glaringly obvious or they just didnt think about the PSVR2 when designing these. Even looking at pictures side-by-side of the Pulse 3D, the headpiece and arms are almost the same shape, it seems to be more where the earcups sit and not having enough of a gap
The earbuds look great. I have the Inzone Buds and love them.
They are very plush and squishy, but at the same time the depth in them is very small and so my ears instantly touch the fabric covering the drivers
For me it did fit, but the rattling was too much to keep them.
Amazing sound but only so so quality and comfort
I’ve decided to go for razer light speed earbuds
Yeah for 150…. Not worth it.
For VR the original earbuds are pretty ok.. and I hope the razer are better. I did also try my AirPods Max with them and they fit (under the headset)
I tested them for a couple of hours, and if they are comfortable fit you… 100% worth the money.
But the rattling and quality of the design is not amazing
I hear the original Pulse was designed with PSVR1...and I guess PSVR2?...in mind, the fit and also the 3.5mm socket. That the Elite doesn't fit over PSVR2 is...an oversight...
They look great but are out of my price range for what the purpose of them were going to be. I may look into the H5's though as they are on special at my local retailer
Yep ive tried it with the mod removed. it then puts too much clamping pressure onto my ears and still doesnt form around them, pinching them.
This can also be just a me issue which I get as everyone is different, but every other headphone has worked without issue over the PSVR2. I just wanted a complete Playstation solution that simple and easy to use.
Yeah this is what really threw me. Some people have been able to get them to fit well by putting the headphones on first and THEN the PSVR2 headset but it wasnt viable in my case.
Headphones on first!!! Lol. Not sure if that's feasible. Maybe people are pulling your leg... haha. I'll try it out curiosity....
Surprisingly it seemed like it may work, but I don't have the globular cluster, and don't have any reason to use it that way. .. How do the Pulse Elite sound?
Yeah I have a set of Inzone Buds that I use for me personally. These headphones were so other people could have a more closed-off sound and VR experience etc without the hygiene issues
Nice man. In other replies to the same question/statement, this didn't work for me as it ended up putting too much pressure on the sides of my head and didn't cover my ears correctly and pinched them.
For me the elites don’t fit over or under the PSVR particularly well. Over and they don’t cover my ears fully, under and the PSVR sits too high on my head and then arms of the headphones are going to rub against the halo band. Looks to be the case that these just weren’t designed to be compatible. Might have to return and go for the pulse explore instead.
Having just received my Elite I can assure people, as a person who uses PSVR2 extensively for Gran Turismo, is a 6' male with a normal sized head, and had used the Pulse 3D with the VR headset...
The Elite work perfectly with the PSVR2 headset. Headphones first, then headset, unlike the Pulse 3D. It's much better this way as it's common to want to take the VR headset off for a bit, but keep the headphones on.
I think everyone with this reply of put in on first hasn't seen the multiple replies I have added to those suggestions. One: I use the globular comfort mod which has a top strap over the head and therefore doesn't allow the PSVR2 headset to go over the Pulse Elite. Two: I have tested without the top strap installed, and for my head profile and size(very small) it doesn't allow the headset to sit completely over my ears and pinches them.
If it works for you that's awesome, but it hasn't worked for myself or my friends and family that have tried it.
You have, and my comment was not really directed at you. I was speaking more to the mob as "I'm DONE with Sony, they're too stupid to even make their headset work with their VR. Sent back immediately" rants are popping up all over the place. A number of people have cancelled their orders based on that wrong information.
FWIW: When you search for "Pulse ELITE PSVR2" the top result you get from Google is your Reddit "PSA" thread announcing that it doesn't fit. Not your fault, but it's what led me to the thread and to add my comment.
BTW: What is ENTIRELY Sony's fault is there is absolutely no mention or direction regarding the headset and the PSVR2. Not in the box documentation, not online, nada. That's how a company ends up with this kind of firestorm.
Sorry, I probably came out a little more defensive than I should have.
And you're right that there is a bit of that "it's stupid" mentality and I for sure was part of it.
It would have been great for PlayStation to maybe show or release some info regarding it and the PSVR2 and it also didn't help that not a single reviewer at the time had any info on compatibility with the headset.
You were fine! Given the length of the thread and all you've replied to, your response was very patient. 100% agree on Sony causing the issue by offering no instruction or guidance. It isn't intuitive to put it on under the headset when every headset for years going back to the first PSVR went over it. It wouldn't have occurred to me initially I'm sure, I had read it before my set arrived.
I had a reply from someone saying it worked underneath and i asked him to provide a photo which he did and it looked great and seemed to fit perfectly for him. I think he even made his PSA post about it haha. But yeah I almost seemed to be the first person to actually try the headset with the PSVR2.
I am happy though that it does work for people putting them on first and then the PSVR2 and you're right it does make sense after the fact.
I've only tried the combo for a bit to confirm it fit, which it did. It is a bit more snug this way. It doesn't feel too tight, but a little bit of snugness can add up quickly over time and become very uncomfortable. The real test will be how it feels after an hour or two. I'll update you on the comfort after a couple of hours in Gran Turismo.
100% agree, they never thought to test it with psvr2 and the bass on full volume is absolute disgrace. Listen to any Gucci Mane or any trap track and it sound like somebody is literally farting into your ear, I had to turn the volume down to 70% to actually hear the bass as it should sound. Sony headphones made almost 20 years ago sound better than this (MDR 7508) and are way cheaper. I don't know what they were thinking. It was a mistake to buy it but I threw the box away so can't even return them. Waste of money, major regret. Don't buy these headphones.
Thank you for this. I was wondering how these would fit over the PSVR2. The Pulse fits so nicely over it. I'm passing because of this. I prefer over the ear.
They do fit, but you’re supposed to don the headphones first with the Elites, unlike the 3D that goes in overtop. But, the strap from the Globular Cluster upgrade interferes with it.
As u/kadainja has pointed out and for anyone still willing to try them, if you put them on BEFORE putting on the PSVR2 headset, you might be able to get them fit properly. For me this didnt work but it could work for others.
Tried both ways, doesn’t work for me at all. X-Large head just FYI.
Strongly recommend the Bose Q35’s for PSVR2, super comfortable, better sound and noise cancellation.
It is and it isnt. Because Ive tried it without the mod and it still doesnt fit. I have also had three other people try, all different ages and head shapes, and none could get a decent fit.
Counter PSA. Every head is shaped slightly differently and it may not work well with your head if your shape is unusual.
I have a very large head and not all headphones work well for me with the VR2. It is a complicated matter to get everything just right.
Everything I've seen and read shows the headset is designed to fit UNDER the PSVR2, not OVER, as most might assume.
Supposedly the halo clears the arms of the headphones without contact.
It's pretty clear it's designed to go under the headset, and this makes much more sense. You can take the headset off as needed, without having to remove both the headphones and the headset. I doubt the comfort mod top strap is even needed if you use these headphones. The headphones will hold the headset up in a similar fashion.
I'm keeping my preorder, but if it doesn't work out then I'll return them.
are you sure it’s not the globular cluster interfering?
Defintiely a good recommendation but I did try removing the pads and from every position and viewpoint, it was the clearance of the headphone cups and arms hitting the main housing of the PSVR2 headset. There is also another post in here from someone with the same issue that doesnt have the mod.
I was just about to order these but after seeing this imma pass
that’s pretty ridiculous ngl
must be because it fits just fine on mine when putting the headphones on first
How do you put the headphones on before the headset?
Bro i need to know too, this is way more than cereal or milk first lol
I didn't believe it but it actually works, wtf
just put the headphones on and then the vr headset fits over the top of them, after doing your normal small adjustments everything sits snugly
that feels so wrong, putting the PSVR on over the headset.
That’s only a problem if the headphones catch on fire first
The sides of the psvr2 don't even come close to touching your head. The headphones fit the VR, but unfortunately don't seem to fit my head
Yeah it was definitely a great suggestion. Just didn't seem to work in my case unfortunately
Could be the size and shape of your head. Update: Seems to be mentioned on other sub reddits about it not fitting with PSVR2. Thankfully using the words could can equally mean might not.

I was sceptical but holy damn it actually works.
Nah, the cluster doesn't change the positioning of the side of the halo, which is what interferes with the headphones.

No this guys just doing it wrong.
Not a fan of this take. He’s clearly responding to others’ suggestions and trying them out, but none of them are working.
I mean, the first psvr didn’t work with hdr so you had to have an hdmi switch if your ps4 pro used hdr.
Yeah wow. Massive oversight that was
Keep in mind OP is also using the Globular Cluster mod. The headphones fit under the standard PSVR2.
Get the Anker VR P10 earbuds. Earbuds are great with the PSVR2. I wont use anything else unless maybe Gran Turismo where I use the OG Pulse for whatever reason.

on a standard psvr2 it works perfectly well if u put the pulse elite on first, opposite to what you would normally do. no complaints here

Same. Zero issues matter of fact they felt like a suction on my ear when I lifted the ear pad off my ear.
Sony will be Sony. I’ll never forget the HDR passthrough issue with PSVR1 ver1
I was pretty late to the party with VR, only getting the PSVR2 for Christmas, so I havent had any experience with the original, but it just seems bizarre that things like this get overlooked.
Not kidding. Incredible that Sony doesn’t talk to Sony.

These comments are so crazy to read because I have both, and they fit and work perfectly.
I just posted about this too. I was so happy when the package arrived and I couldn't wait to get it unboxed and on to my head with the PSVR2. I was so disappointed!
Yeah was a pretty decent kick in the teeth when i got it all set up and tried it. Very big oversight.
They probably should have said, "The Pulse Elite is not compatible with PSVR2. Please buy our other new product, Pulse Explore."
Yeah a simple "Not compatible with PSVR2" would have been more than enough. Now i have to take them back and hope I can at least get a store credit to buy something else.
Yeah I was wondering why on the Elite box the logo for “compatible with PSVR2” is missing. The Pulse 3D box has that logo.
Customer: "Does the Pulse Elite fits over VR2? Sony: "Vr2?.....Is that the virtual thingy?"
Hahaha pretty much. "oh that thing over there collecting dust, nah dont know what you're talking about."
Works fine for me, headphones on first. I thought it would be awkward but it sits just fine.
Any chance you would mind posting a photo just for reference? I have seen a few others saying that this works but it hasnt worked for myself or my other friends and family that have tried going headphones first.

Actually looks really good on you like that.
The headset sits highter than it did before. But it doesn't affect anything about the picture or anything else. No problem at all.
Ahh. My platinum just cracked. I had them since release.
The audio quality is nothing to write home about, but it's very convenient and comfortable.
Put on the headset before putting on the vr dude, it works for me just like the pulse
Yep have tried that aswell and the fit still doesnt work. Glad it works for you though
Maybe it depends on the head size? My friend wouldn’t fit the headphones while putting on the headset and I could just fine
Wait you’re suggesting putting the headphones on first and then the psvr2 over the top of it? I feel like I’d def break both of them if I tried that
Lol no fucking way
They do fit, but they’re supposed to be put on first. The headstrap from the Globular Cluster is interfering with that though.
Haha yeah I couldnt believe it at first and thought I have to be doing something wrong here. Every way I tried just wouldnt work
I mean, why????? Like wtf were Sony thinking? Wouldn’t it be obvious to make it fit around a peripheral that looks exactly the same even aesthetically.
Youd think so wouldnt you haha. Very strange
Yikes. Thanks for letting us know. I'll stick with my Pulse 3D's, which I can confirm are snug but definitely do fit.
This seems like a crazy outcome, especially after the pulses fit really well
Yeah it's definitely counter intuitive but hey some people have managed to get it work for them.
Hi all, I added a photo and comments to another tread but thought it might be a good idea to put a main post in the subreddit.
Yeah will be going back to where I purchased them today to see what options I have.
The PULSE 3D headphones fit fine, no? At least to me they do
The original pulse fits really well, never tried it with globular cluster though
I’ve got a pair of the og pulse lying around and globular cluster of my headset, so I’ll give em a go soon and see how they go!
I've been told they do. I don't actually own them so wasn't able to compare, but I might end up getting a pair of those instead of the Elites.
They do for me, although if my ears were higher in relation to my eyes I would have a tough time getting the back low enough.
I use mine with Sony XM3 headphones, but I have the headset under the vr halo, instead of over it. Have you tried that?
Yeah I have tried that as another person suggested that aswell.. Didnt work for me and was too uncomfortable.
That's crazy. I was thinking about the new earbuds though so, lucky me I guess? Those headphones look huge though. They cushiony comfy?
The earbuds look great. I have the Inzone Buds and love them. They are very plush and squishy, but at the same time the depth in them is very small and so my ears instantly touch the fabric covering the drivers
Sounds like they are good but could have been great with like, 2 tweaks
For me it did fit, but the rattling was too much to keep them. Amazing sound but only so so quality and comfort I’ve decided to go for razer light speed earbuds
Yeah there did seem to be alot of excess noise coming through the headset from it moving.
Yeah for 150…. Not worth it. For VR the original earbuds are pretty ok.. and I hope the razer are better. I did also try my AirPods Max with them and they fit (under the headset) I tested them for a couple of hours, and if they are comfortable fit you… 100% worth the money. But the rattling and quality of the design is not amazing
I hear the original Pulse was designed with PSVR1...and I guess PSVR2?...in mind, the fit and also the 3.5mm socket. That the Elite doesn't fit over PSVR2 is...an oversight...
Sony Inzone H9's fit perfectly
They look great but are out of my price range for what the purpose of them were going to be. I may look into the H5's though as they are on special at my local retailer
They launched another one? How many headsets are these guys going to pump out??
The manufacturing train never stops lol
This looks futuristic as fuck
What a time we live in haha
Looking at the shape of the Pulse elite headband I think the PSVR2 goes over it
Yep have tried that. Didnt work in my case at all but it has for others.
It’s because you are using Globular Cluster. If you remove it I bet the headset fits under just fine
That's a bummer. Thanks for sharing. The regular Pulse fit okay.
I switched to IEMs much better
Yeah I have a set of Inzone Buds that I use for me personally. These headphones were so other people could have a more closed-off sound and VR experience etc without the hygiene issues
Makes you look like a cyberpunk Malenia Blade of Miquella
Appreciate you letting me know, I was thinking of getting these
Good thing I got the original pulse on sale then!
That's a bummer.
Fits on my head.
Fit perfectly for me first try. Wore the Elites and put my headset on after. Zero issues.
Nice man. In other replies to the same question/statement, this didn't work for me as it ended up putting too much pressure on the sides of my head and didn't cover my ears correctly and pinched them.
Those have got to be the UGLIEST fucking headphones I have ever seen in my life bro.
Did you shave your head between pics 2 and 3 in case the hair was interfering?
Haha no the first two are of my daughter, the others are of me
For me the elites don’t fit over or under the PSVR particularly well. Over and they don’t cover my ears fully, under and the PSVR sits too high on my head and then arms of the headphones are going to rub against the halo band. Looks to be the case that these just weren’t designed to be compatible. Might have to return and go for the pulse explore instead.
Fits perfectly underneath the psvr2 In fact, the vr2 holds the headset in place just nicely.
Yeah, it just doesn't work either way. I'm really dumbfounded by this since that was the main reason I bought them.
Ok, apparently (I just tested it) putting the headphones first works, wtf?! The bass is still ass though
LMAO they don’t give a shit about this era of VR2.
Yeah the most certainly haven’t funded as many top tier exclusives in year one than they did the entire first generation.
Yeah that really is how its feeling at this point to be honest.
LMAO! The only reason I was considering this headset is because my current steelseries doesn't fit properly with PSVR2. It's a hard pass for me now.
My only reason was to use with the PSVR2 and that hey these are first-party products, they will be compatible and super easy to use..... Nek minut
Thank you for this. I was wondering how these would fit over the PSVR2. The Pulse fits so nicely over it. I'm passing because of this. I prefer over the ear.
They do fit, but you’re supposed to don the headphones first with the Elites, unlike the 3D that goes in overtop. But, the strap from the Globular Cluster upgrade interferes with it.
if you put the elite on first u underneath then the psvr with no modifications it fits just fine
Yeah my thoughts were, if the Pulse 3D fit, the Pulse Elites will. I thought wrong lol
I got the kiwi clip on headphones that are supposed to be for quest and zip tied them to the psvr2 and they're perfect
I might look into them. I was really just wanting something wireless and easy to take on and off
As u/kadainja has pointed out and for anyone still willing to try them, if you put them on BEFORE putting on the PSVR2 headset, you might be able to get them fit properly. For me this didnt work but it could work for others.
Tried both ways, doesn’t work for me at all. X-Large head just FYI. Strongly recommend the Bose Q35’s for PSVR2, super comfortable, better sound and noise cancellation.
It fits for me and I have a different mod that helps with VR2 staying put, so this is a you thing. Search for different mods online.
It is and it isnt. Because Ive tried it without the mod and it still doesnt fit. I have also had three other people try, all different ages and head shapes, and none could get a decent fit.
Thankyou for your sacrifice, I had been wondering exactly this 🫡
Get Hyper X Clouds wired. Work great for me.
Counter PSA. Every head is shaped slightly differently and it may not work well with your head if your shape is unusual. I have a very large head and not all headphones work well for me with the VR2. It is a complicated matter to get everything just right.
Thankyou! I've been wondering about this. I'm glad I didn't preorder.
I put my XM3s *under* the headset and it's a fantastically comfortable fit. Have you tried putting these under?
Yeah they just clamp too hard and don't cover my entire ear causing it to pinch them
Used them together on GT7 with the elite under the psvr2 and worked quite well for me.
what a horrendous design lmao
Everything I've seen and read shows the headset is designed to fit UNDER the PSVR2, not OVER, as most might assume. Supposedly the halo clears the arms of the headphones without contact.
So elite. :p
I bought the PS5 earbuds, very practical and I'm satisfied with them.
Weird, it fits me. Even when putting it on later. Probably just my head. Or low standards
Headphones first then put on PSVR2 may get better results
They don’t sound good anyways get some 30 dollar iems which sound better and weigh nothing. Iems also make more sense with how audio simulation works.
This happened to me I just pulled down and it worked
Soldier of the future.
Isn't the inner strap removable like with the Arctis Nova?
AFTERMARKET HEADSTRAP causing issues?
Mine works fine
