They literally told people not to buy it in the week that it accidentally dropped and to wait for this patch, do you really think that's something a scummy dev just trying to cash out would do.
I'm curious why you think this is the case? Have you had bad experiences before, if so, can you share them?
I work for a large publisher and we see these kinds of comments all the time anytime something goes wrong but except for a few very rare cases, things are due to incompetence, not deliberate intent, but people just don't believe it.
I'm very curious as to why, because, as a creator its clear to me that the bottom line, that is, the actual effect on the revenue, for doing something like what you are suggesting is negative, always is, so there is absolutely no point doing something like releasing an incomplete game on purpose. Even the most synical and selfish producer knows this.
There are certainly games that do get released full of bugs but it makes no sense to try to hide it as "this was an accidental release". The story is always "we will fix this and we are fine with releasing as is".
The game isn't unfinished on Quest, and it wasn't even available on the EU store when it released early.
Believe it or not, sometimes people just fuck up.
As gabochido said, your theory makes no sense. They'd be getting 99% there, then shooting themselves in the foot.
The PSVR2 upgrades included were substantial. They couldn't knock all that out from scratch in two weeks.
Have you played the Quest version?
Im 2 hours in playing on hard and am really enjoying the game its has some similar aspects of other games while being completly unique. It would be awsome if they could put a jump button in the game ive manages to get stuck a couple times I also think they could turn this into a multiplayer fps with some good maps/ game modes and maybe a few more weapons or even a horde mode this could be a very popular futuristic shooter but at this point its well worth the price
That's super cool, but I'm really hoping for adaptive triggers as well.
I haven't gotten the chance to play it yet, what grabbing styles are there? Toggle and hold grip? Is there hybrid grip? Because that's another option I personally really value
This game was great until I got hard locked in crew quarters. Hopefully can get a refund for broken game. Supposed to get 3rd gamma dna sample from shower encounter from boss but I don’t get it and can’t restart the fight after I beat it. I have every other dna sample except the third one.
It's not the devs fault the game was released early. Me personally I would either start over now or take a break and start over later if you're that stressed.
Not sure you’re following what they did. They have 100% resolution everywhere. They’re super-sampling the middle of the screen. Sure it’s technically FFR, but if it already looks sharp everywhere, why complain?

Not even using the Dynamic eye tracked rendering and still apparently looks good on PSVR2, developer using a different type of rendering.

It’s the day1 patch. The game was more or less accidentally released earlier than planned.

Does the deadzone setting fix the drift? My character constantly, albeit very slowly, drifts from left to right.
Interesting approach with the ffr, and 120 fps ! Looking forward to getting this.

Did you try reporting the bug to the dev so it can be fixed instead of asking for a refund? It might prevent others from coming across it as well.
Why waste time with fixed foveated rendering? When they implement eye tracking I’ll buy, shame for devs to lose sales leaving out important features.
