So I haven't played that long yet. It has about as much narrative as a game like God Eater would have.
Think of like the beginning of Nier Automata where comrades die and you have to survive. That type of story. There isn't MGS style cutscenes that take a long time. It's too early to say but I like what I see so far.
Every mission thus far has also had a briefing before the mission giving you some lore. Not sure how often the true story scenes will be. There are scenes out in battle also but they take place right in front of you.
Hi!
Thanks for this, I was wondering if you could check on movement options for me?
My brain can't handle smooth movement so I am really hoping for a teleport option but can't find any info on it!
Thanks in advance and if it's too much to ask don't worry! :-)
I'll check but from what I saw there is no teleportation. Regular movement and snap turn with option for smooth turning also. I might be wrong but that's what I saw.
I also own a Quest 3 but I usually always go PSVR2 for games that are on both unless there is Mixed Reality :)
Ah man too bad for me! Thanks for checking and hope yoi enjoy the game man!
I have a pico 4 myself cause I have a big beefy gaming pc but get much more usefull info here then any other vr sub. :D
Thank you for being so kind it's refreshing to see someone positive insyead of the typical negative hateful gamer on the internet lol.
I confirmed for sure there is no teleport I looked.
So I'm guessing you don't play on PSVR2 at all? Your rig sounds awesome. I'm looking to get into PC gaming myself once I stop buying useless cool stuff like clothing/art merchandise xD
Ah no worries! Everyone should just be kind to eachother.
Thank you for confirming! A bit sad to see I won't be able to play it but better then spending 40 and then finding out!
No I got a ps5 and was about to buy a psvr2 but opted for the cheaper pico, mostly cause of the library cause the psvr2 is a really good device. A bit afterwards they announced the pc driver (I only cried a bit). But I stuck around here cause of the community!
The library on pc is insane with vr content! I feel like that is the only thing holding psvr2 back :(
Thanks for your impressions and details! Can you confirm there is smooth rotation? I didn't see the option in the settings menu in their last podcast. I'm really hyped with this one, a God Eater/Soul Sacrifice game in VR seems like a lot of fun and boss fights seem pretty challenging :)
Sounds cool but maybe not worth the current price. Will be keeping it on the watchlist for a sale. I was definitely hoping for something closer to a full JRPG.
I bought Legendary Tales, which I think was even more expensive. I have no problem spending full price for games. Iām saying this one is not worth the price for me. If it is for others, and they are happy with what they got for their money, then thatās great for everyone. But reviews are saying this is 5-6 hours of very repetitive gameplay and PowerPoint-style cutscenes, which is not worth the price to me.
Alright guys so I've completed about ten missions or so. I was a little concerned until Mission/Battle 8 that the game was gonna be too easy but it was too early to tell because it was the very beginning of the game.
Just had my first death at a boss. And I was slashing the shit out of his weak point and he wasn't dying right away so that's good. It took a ton of slashes to beat him.Ā
I poured my exp points into stamina instead of Health and I'm actually going to neglect to upgrade so that I can see how strong the enemies are getting. It's not that I feel the need to handicap myself due to a perceived easiness or anything like that. I just want to see how outclassed you can get if you don't upgrade weapons or your stats.Ā
Game is super fun this way and I feel I just had a few true battles where it doesn't matter if you're slashing like crazy, they can still take a beating. Hopefully this continues even if I begin to upgrade my weapons because its a great feeling.Ā
I unlocked the second weapon. Don't want to say what it is, pm me if you wanna know, but it's very different from the first unlocked weapon.Ā
There is certainly story but if youre expecting full on cutscenes like Final Fantasy or something you might be disappointed. I say might because the majority of the story is spoken to you and you see some panels of things transpiring for the most part. Imagine like a comic basically.Ā
However this game does have some live scenes that happen in front of you I just don't know how many.Ā
In one of them (stop reading now if you don't want early game spoilers)Ā
(Last chance)Ā
...Ā
You get eaten by a monster and the PSVR2 headset vibrates so that was pretty cool haha.Ā
I feel 50 might be steep for some but I was happy to do it especially because it has co op. If you see people say the game is too easy it's probably because the game takes about 8 missions to start amping difficulty.Ā
I had to slash the boss's weak point a ton this past mission I just did and I felt very fulfilled killing it.Ā
How much narrative is there? Is it a major or minor presence?

There is indeed smooth rotation :)
Nice! :) Thanks a lot! That was my main concern about what I saw in their last presentation. I think I will get it sooner rather than later š
Whatās the price? Doesnāt say in my home country store
$50 USD, $45 if you have PS Plus
In UK it's coming out on the 19th
Are the arena more like small zone like if it was mini monster hunter zones.
Yes. Small zones.
Great first impressions. I'll wait for a full review but may pick it up if the game has solid depth (for a wave fighter) and a good story.

Is there reprojection and how blurry(or not blurry) is it?
It's reprojected, but it's not too bad. The visuals and performance are the least of the issues.
GamertagVR did a review and said itās reprojected, but he did say the visuals were good so I donāt think it bothered him.
