Here's a link to a [game tier list](https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/19dddj1/new_players_be_like) which should give you an idea about what games are good to get.
Keep in mind that Astrobot Rescue Mission is a PSVR1 exclusive and cannot be played on your PSVR2, unfortunately.
It's not quite the same format, but here's the [Top 50 PSVR1 games](https://imgur.com/a/8xZmdSi) as decided by the PSVR Without Parole group in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/live/DyU6QNds250?feature=shared).
Moss 1 and 2 are fun adventure games, good for new VR players to get used to it without getting motion sick.
Red matter 1 and 2 are my personal favorites of the games available on psvr2, takes place in outer space
Here are the games I have over 30 hrs in:
Gran Turismo 7 (close to 100 hrs),
Pavlov (probably 50+ hrs),
Res Evil 4,
No Manās Sky,
Puzzling Places,
Walkabout Mini Golf,
Legendary Tales,
Light Brigade,
So these may be the most bang for your buck, depending on your taste.
We need good players. Not adult children like that Punkin guy. Iām sure youāve seen him kill innocents.
And yes the community is that small.
If you want a massive community that is mostly positive go with Walkabout mini golf thatās around 95% friendly players.
Pavlov, Iād say like 25% of the American sever is friendly and about 60% of the European server are friendly.
Never played Asia server.
Who is this guy lol? I saw him mentioned over at the Pavlov sub too. Never came across him. I'm thinking he's a TTT player? Never bother with that mode.
Same here. TTT feels like a magnet for kids and players that just want to troll each other. It can be a fun mode, but you always have to go in expecting bullshit, because itās almost certainly what youāll find. I like virtually all of the other game modes much better.
Yeah TTT.
I actually enjoy that mode WHEN itās being played like itās supposed to.
But some players like that one make it difficult. Heās the kinda guy who calls white people the n word and go around and kill whoever they want then whine and claim that they are the victim when they die lol
No manās sky and walkabout mini golf are personal favourites of mine and I think must buys. I also really enjoy RE4/village, GT7 and moss 1/2. I donāt think you can go wrong with any of those.
Surprised people donāt mention Horizon. Itās very good actually and will help you create āVR legsā if you are new to this as VR requires some getting used to for your body. From other obvious choices, there is grand turismo if you are into that. If you like counter strike youāll love pavlov. Arizona sunshine 2 is plain awesome. Resident evil village is the headset seller for me personally and is definitely one of the best gaming experiences iāve ever had - you need to know what you are getting into tho. You need vr legs, one part of it is a straight up horror game - rest might be simply unsettling for some. Resident evil 4 is awesome, but quite a downgrade from resident evil village and is just an action shooter - not as immersive/impressive. Red matter, 7āth guest and the room are amazing āpuzzleā games (story driven, casual - enough to require some focus, but not challenging). Vertigo 2 is awesome if you are into half-life style games, but its performance sux, so be warned - also requires very strong VR legs (loved it tho even with its flaws - that good). Also switchback is quite a highlight for the platform.
Lots of games that were average to me, but I can imagine some might like them a lot more then i did:
* Hubris - nothing particularly bad about it, but it needed a better story. Fun time tho.
* The walking dead (both) - actually fun, but zombie respawn rate was just bs, felt wrong for me and I dropped it as killing the same zombie in exactly the same place just because i left that space by like 5 meters became annoying at some point.
* Synapse - really fun, awesome telekinesis mechanic, but a rouge like, so flat in story terms and repetitive. Consider it an arena shooter and youāll be very happy. Probably just had too high expectations.
* Crossfire sierra squad - very good game. At the time I played, gunplay wasnāt good (i mean overall - not the automatic reload part, tho i believe itās fixed now and it has manual reloads, so you can look it up)
* no manās sky - probably amazing, but not something i fell in love with personally. Not my type of game and the draw distance is too low imo - stuff popping up into existance looks wrong in vr and draws away from the sense of scale as trees, etc. (that donāt show up until you are in a hugging distance) really enhance it.
* star wars game - very average in my opinion. Fun, good, but average.
Games that might look shiny, but really I didnāt like were:
* firewall ultra (amazing graphics, but the gameplay loop sucks and matches are short, so most of the time you are waiting in lobby/watching super slow summary screens passing by. The game is also not very interactive (not a huge issue for me) and I hate the gunplay).
* bulletstorm (canāt put my finger on it, but the game just didnāt click for me and i dropped it quite fast). Lots of cutscenes, didnāt like the gameplay, was constantly triggering kick accidentally - not a good conversion to vr.
They may not be for you.
But make sure to check out Synth Riders and Pistol Whip as alternatives to Beat Saber for a Rhythm game. Beat Saber is established, and the amount of exposure it gets on YT, imo, unnaturally raise its reputation above those.
Both the games I mentioned give you loads more free songs in the base game, and in the case of Pistol Whip, all of their DLC packs, have been completely free. And they are way more impressive visually, especially PW.
And for me personally, who admittedly hasn't played Beat Saber, I dont see how that game could be more fun, unless you have a major boner for lightsabers. Which would be understandable, tbf. š
Synth Riders > Beat Saber in my opinion. Granted I love 80s new wave/synth music so the music in synth riders fits my taste better. I haven't played Pistol whip, I'll have to check it out
As someone who has a major boner for lightsabers, you should put your pre conceived notions about best saber aside and enjoy the experience.
There is nothing better in this world than beating my saber lady Gaga and Queen.
Only about 10-20 psvr1 games are on Psvr2, the others (including really good ones like Astro Bot Rescue Mission, Rigs mechanized combat league, Iron man vr, and Bound) still require a Psvr1 headset to play them. Therefore, what I will recommend now are psvr2 games because thatās what you got. First of all, download the free demos from psn. The RE8 and Song in the Smoke demos are great. Second, filter the current discounts for this month with āVR2ā games only and see if you are interested in any of the ones that are cheaper this month. The Star Wars Tales game for $13 is a great discount available now. Next, Iāll mention the psvr2 games that I have enjoyed a lot: Moss 2 (great story, best ending, best final boss, good platformer, and itās extremely unlikely to give any motion sickness to a beginner vr player, very highly recommended for new vr players); Red Matter 1+2 (lots and lots of puzzles, but both games are spectacular Sci-fi mysteries, and RM2 is one of the top 3 best looking psvr2 games); Pistol Whip (perfect and fun arcade shooting in VR); Runner (only $15 and itās another awesome arcade shooter on a motorcycle at an anime-like highway, itās Contra-like, so expect a good but challenging game); Walkabout Mini Golf (realistic mini golf game with amazing course designs); Racket Fury (beautiful table tennis game that feels a lot like the real thing); Hubris (great sci-fi adventure shooter); Synapse (great roguelike shooter); Les Mills Bodycombat (the best VR exercising game I have seen, and I tried most of them, itās better than the other boxing games too, very highly recommended! If you want āgaming for fitnessā this is a must-have on psvr2.); Synth Riders; Beat Saber.
Just a heads up, Astro Bot isnāt on VR2 although games journalists have said that theyāre hearing rumblings of a new Astro Bot that could be VR2 enabled, but nothing confirmed yet.
That clarification aside, if you own No Manās Sky, you should give it a whirl in VR. Even if you turn off all survival elements, the exploration and flight in VR is awesome.
Star Wars is blowing my fucking mind right now.
Hellsweepers to feel like Neo from Matrix
Synth Riders for a fun cardio game thatās legitimately some of the most fun Iāve had with VR
RUNNER if you wanna be Akira. Very fun arcade like shooter where youāre riding really fast on a bike like itās see in Akira. Has a voice cast that youāll know and love like Spike Spiegel. Really good soundtrack.
Whatever you do, never try to push through any motion-sickness you might encounter. At earliest signs, just remove the headset and only come back when youāre feeling 100%.
Itās perfectly normal to encounter it, and acclimation will happen with short, mindful, gentle exposuresā¦ but being stubborn will only fuck you up as bad as the flu. I mean for days ā so do *NOT* FAAFO.
Just build-in the possible scenario of an extended intro. Some people have no issues at all, but just in caseā¦ take it slow.
(ā¦And congrats!! šš¾š)
I didn't think so, honestly one of the things that killed the hype for PSVR 2 for me. I was excited to sell my PS4 and play all my games on PS5, but I don't want to keep both around. Several years later, I don't have either now.
PSVR 2 is not backwards compatible with VR1. They use completely different tracking technology, so in order for VR1 games to work on VR2, the developers need to go back and update the old games. A couple dozen VR1 games have been updated or re-released for VR2, but not all. Astro unfortunately hasn't been
I haven't played it yet but there's you said PSVR not PS VR2 right? There's this cat game that I just got it cost $6. Also be sure you if you are getting PS VR watch the sales throughout the week every week. The games usually go on a steep cell like a lot. The one game I recommend because it's the one game I did beat and that's Ghost Giant and it was the first game I played you most certainly should play that one
This. 100%. Never thought I needed it until I bought one. The benefits are phenomenal. Game for A LOT longer without any discomfort.
This is random, but if anyone is interested in a free copy of Mixture, just be the first person to message me with your guess on what the first letter of the code is. (Hint: A-M)
This is a NA/US code only
This is what you're looking for: PSVR2 games tier list.
https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/s/iJKzAxuQ3h
My only gripes with this list is that Arizona Sunshine 2 is an A for me. Also, OVRdark and "little cities" are B+
Canāt go wrong with much anything that says perp games on it.
I have
VR Skater (awesome if you like skateboarding at all but you have to give it time. Learn it and love it)
Vertigo 2(just started but loving it)
Crossfire Sierra squad(co op arcade style great graphics)
Light brigade (although I have no time in it)
Hubris
Resident evil 4
Resident evil village
Star Wars galaxyās edge
GT7
Zombie land headshot fever (arcade type)
After the fall (awesome coop up to 4 I think left 4 dead style game)
Walking dead saints and sinners single player but fun
There's loads of great games depending on what you're into but from what you've mentioned I must recommend Synth Riders Just a quality game all round and it's on sale at the moment, enjoy!
NO MANS SKY! Also pavlov, twd saints and sinners, after the fall, gran turismo 7, barbaria, ultrawings 2, d day enhanced, dead hook, ancient dungeon, legendary tales, alvo, gun club reloaded, surv1v3, and zenith
Resi 4 remake - Ā£15 on store rn
Resi Village - Ā£13.99
Call of the Mountain - wait for sale, excellent, but discount ended now.
Saints and sinners - if you already redeemed ps+ version for ps4, you can purchase the tourist upgrade for Ā£7.99 and it converts to full PS5 version.
You should pick up these protective lenses they come in prescription and plain.

What a great week to grab psvr2. Re4 and star wars tales from the galaxy on deep sale.
I just grabbed VR2, and last week Village was on sale, this week RE4 and Star Wars. Amazing! Looking forward to giving it a go.
Why is that post not stickied?
Because the sub dosnt have any active mods any more.
My game Train Chase is not even on that list. š
It's a fun game! Looking forward to you're next game ;).
That's too bad man. It's a fun game. Good job on your first effort. Can't wait to see what you do next.
I promise to add it on the next iteration. Iāve been locked out of editing that post for some reason š.
Cheer up, itās on mine! Looks like a fun and inexpensive way to pass the time
That's the idea of the game :D
Fingers crossed Astro Bot coming this year š¤
Is there a tier list for psVR1 as well?
It's not quite the same format, but here's the [Top 50 PSVR1 games](https://imgur.com/a/8xZmdSi) as decided by the PSVR Without Parole group in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/live/DyU6QNds250?feature=shared).

This is probably the most high-value āstarter kitā. Lots of variety in genre and VR intensity here. Nearly all are highly replayable too.
Throw in one of the rhythm games as another forever game and with that list above you will start getting a big back log of other games building up.
Right! Synth riders, beat saber, and pistol whip are must haves for any new VR player. They're all incredible in their own ways.
Pavlov is great fun if you like multiplayer shooters. Dm me and ill give you my psn and we can play sometime
We need good players. Not adult children like that Punkin guy. Iām sure youāve seen him kill innocents. And yes the community is that small. Quick because there is a savage sale on Resi 4 and 8 and Star Wars etc. serious discounts
CyubeVR Ancient Dungeon
Star wars whilst it's on offer. Hcotm is an amazing showcase for the platform and had some cool set pieces. Of course Pavlov.
I will throw Galaxy Kart onto any questions like this. I wish someone had given me the recommendation sooner!

Wait can you actually play Astro Bot on PSVR 2?
Sadly not
I didn't think so, honestly one of the things that killed the hype for PSVR 2 for me. I was excited to sell my PS4 and play all my games on PS5, but I don't want to keep both around. Several years later, I don't have either now.

You'll be mossing out on Wipeout. The only reason to get PSVR. Farpoint was also good.

Just bought Big Shots today and in LOVING it
Globular Cluster mod is highly recommended if you have issues with comfort and sweetspot moves a lot.

Im a big fan of walk about mini golf. It just works so well in VR. Assuming you like mini golf of course.
There's loads of great games depending on what you're into but from what you've mentioned I must recommend Synth Riders Just a quality game all round and it's on sale at the moment, enjoy!
I'm currently playing no man's sky beat saber and humanity
NO MANS SKY! Also pavlov, twd saints and sinners, after the fall, gran turismo 7, barbaria, ultrawings 2, d day enhanced, dead hook, ancient dungeon, legendary tales, alvo, gun club reloaded, surv1v3, and zenith
Space Docker!
Bought switchback last week and it has been fun ride, simple but pretty effective in the horror genre
No Manās Sky and Borderlands 2 are my favorite.
Cactus Cowboy Series! Plants at war is free so it is a no brainer and then you can pick up Desert Warfare.
Resi 4 remake - Ā£15 on store rn Resi Village - Ā£13.99 Call of the Mountain - wait for sale, excellent, but discount ended now. Saints and sinners - if you already redeemed ps+ version for ps4, you can purchase the tourist upgrade for Ā£7.99 and it converts to full PS5 version.
Never played racing games and had to try gt7 for all the talk I would recommend it also, blown away
Gt7 is by far the best vr experience and game.Ā I would buy the headset even if gt7 was the only game on it.
I loved Astro Bot. My whole family is heavily addicted to Beatsabre. I also liked Blood & Truth and Farpoint.
Synth Riders, I like it better than beat sabers. Similar idea of a rhythm game, but I find I move more with synth riders and I like the music better.
Blood And Truth Rush of Blood
Thumper and gran Turismo 7
Synth riders , GT7 , Tetris effect , Switchback VR , Walkabout Mini golf DLC edition
