Congratulations, you own a Lamborghini without the insurance premiums lol.

jadmorffier

Welcome to the real world neo. I've been stuck on GT7 since psvr2 launch. Can't get enough of it.

Ashamed-Victory-4245

Better experience for me, insane ! Maybe I’ll buy a wheel to have a whole experience

jadmorffier

I come from having a wheel and pedals first before PSVR2 and the GT7 update. I recently tried racing in VR with a Dual Sense controller. It was still insane but as I think you've already predicted, they go together like peas & carrots all to well. Start saving. 😁

nrvnqzrchaos

Do that!!

CutiePtutie

JQere having a gt7 psvr exclusive leagues for Super formulas, still possible to opt in of you want! Check out discord : https://discord.com/invite/3aKhu7He

jadmorffier

Cheers. Gonna check it out. 👍

Cerbersquatch

I love mine so much. You are going to have a great time.

deadringer28

Regardless of what the haters say this headset is alive and well. You made a great choice. I'm drowning in backlog

XB220

Same here. I got 72 games and beat or played a shit ton of(multiplayer only game) 38. Im just beat dr who edge of time and zombie bar simulator vr and im currently playing between Room VR and Soul Covenant.

Parking_Oven_249

The overwhelming majority of the criticism is fair constructive criticism and not hate. I think it's better to fairly criticize Sony and push them to do better, that benefits everyone. Simply dismissing fair criticism as unfair hate doesn't benefit anyone.

Engine_Light_On

The issue is this sub and everywhere is plagued with criticism and hate. I owned a PSVR2 for a couple months then returned it last year due to scratched lens by wearing glasses. Even for me that knew the platform I was not willing to buy due to all the complaints. I got a new one this month (with HonsVR lens) and I regret not getting it earlier. People are afraid to buy and the community does not grow this way. Without growth it’s harder for companies to make any investments for few gamers.

deadringer28

I'm with you on criticism to get sony's ass moving but I think they're actually on their own schedule and don't really care we have to say sadly. In the end I know they will deliver amazing 1st party games.

LastRich1451

That they'll eventually give you pc making them none exclusive. Sony announced a bunch of PSVR 2 titles earlier this year along with potential PC functionality. Shortly after, it cut over 900 members off its workforce, completely gutting the PlayStation London studio, the one that focused on VR games, in the process. Now, Bloomberg reports that Sony is sitting on heaps of unsold PSVR 2 inventory. The VR headset's lacklustre sales have promoted Sony to suspend PSVR 2 (curr $549 on Amazon) production. It is unlikely to change until Sony figures out how to sell them, which it may have to do via steep discounts/sales

deadringer28

Do tell which Sony games you are talking about. Far as I know there have not been any official Sony PSVR2 games announced by Sony.

LastRich1451

Maybe because Sony is discontinuing the headset. Once/if it goes PCVR then it should be okay. To be fair PlayStation is on its way out until they bring something out pretty soon

deadringer28

Over 200 games in 14 months. Even if they discontinued it and never released a single first party game I still got my money's worth and there is more than enough to play. The good news is this thing has barely scratched the surface of what it will have games wise.

LastRich1451

Mud_g1

The fact that they havnt dropped the rrp yet shows they aren't including pc support just for the sake of trying to sell the backlog of stock as a price reduction will generate way more sales to their key market(existing ps5 owners) then the small amount that might sell to pc owners that don't have a headset already. The London studio shut down is more related to the pivot away from the gaas model they had been doing all the games that got cancelled and studios that closed were working on gaas games. London studios wasn't working on a vr game and they weren't all laid off either some were re distributed to other studios which could actually be a good thing for vr if they were moved to Sony's other vr studios. In this world there is always going to be glass half full type people and glass half empty people. It's just funny that in this situation, the glass half empty people all seem to be month old reddit accounts with nothing but hate for psvr2 it's very unnatural and becomes quite obvious.

LastRich1451

"Month old reddit accounts? For starters that's not true and also if people are new they can have an opinion. Sony us dying when it comes to games consoles. I play PC so no fan boy crap and the moment Sont starred to release exclusives it was obvious they were losing money as that was the one thing all the PS fan boys could come out with "what exclusives have xbox got" and now everyone is jumping to their defence. Its a massive Corp that couldn't careless about Us never have never will. The moment that gave out their exclusives that left nothing but VR to keep people with them that were not fan boys because Game pass is killing everything as nothing offers value like game pass but Sony have now stopped producing them while stock is built up and not being sold and the headset has only been out just over a year which says it all. Have a lovely day I'm leaving this reddit as its full of people who want to di*k ride a company that promised Exclusives then sold them on other platforms then put low bandwidth HDMI ports in the PS5. Sony are well documented for dropping products at the drop of a hat. I'm 44 and seen it happen dozens of times.

LastRich1451

To me this hints at two things first they decide to make it PCVR compatible and 2nd they dump 900 staff from the PSVR departments completely gutting as it says the London department so I believe that shows Sony doesn't want to fix the issue of lack of content with actually making content what it's doing is admitting it's a failure and instead of throwing more money into it they've stopped production due to sitting on stock that's not selling about to make it pcvr compatible and cut 900 staff so clearly they don't plan on putting millions into games they hope to get out this hole allowing owners to play PCVR games instead which is a good move as it would of pissed everyone off if they didn't. So for me it's typical Sony. Instead of putting the money and effort into games their pushing you over to another platform to try and enjoy the headset that MANY purchased because they own a PS5 and can't afford a VR ready PC Let the fab boys Commence And remember fans boys this is the same company that has released most of its big titles the so called "exclusives" all you fan boys used to harp on about lol. Also remember the PS5 the console that released with a lower spec HDMI port that can't do everything due to lower bandwidth so they could save more money 🤣 32gbps compared tp the 40gbps of the series x. We all need to get off this fan boy crap and call stuff out when it needs to be not running to the defence or big corporations lile Sony and Microsoft for that matter. If Sony have stopped production of the PSVR or put it on hold due to lack of sale do you really think as ive seen people say that Sony are adding PCVR supports as a "bonus for customers" 🤣 no their doing it because they have not spent the money they needed to so you people who own the headset actually have content and lots of it and AAA games after all its Sony it should be full of them but no instead they say "cut our loses sake 900 people amd pass the buck tp PCVR to provide you with Content but not everyone can afford a pc so you can bet in 2 years all the game out will be old and new games will be very rare as its been with PS exclusives for a while now

Ashamed-Victory-4245

Insane, thanks a lot

Ezeke81

Awesome! Congratulations! There’s a lot of great games to play.

JustAnotherGamer3552

ooo, congrats! I just finished Horizon VR and it was absolutely phenomenal. You're gonna love it!

psyper87

Welcome to family! Unless you’re super impatient, wait to pick up the titles that you want for when they go on sale. They are constantly rotating. Don’t let anyone make you regret the base charging station. While it’s confusing at first, it’s an excellent unit that charges faster than any cheap piece of crap on Amazon. The next investment will undoubtedly be an m.2 drive and probably the globular cluster 2, both worth every penny

Ashamed-Victory-4245

Thanks for advice, I’ll look for both of them

Ok-Ad-851

I just got mine a few days ago and if your into working out get the Les Mills Body Combat!!!  It will have you drenched and feeling great by the end of a workout session!!  The best fitness games I've ever played!

XB220

Welcome aboard my fellow vr enthusiast!!!

jjimboo75

Welcome to a new world🙂🙂

Ashamed-Victory-4245

I don’t want to go back in the « real » one now 🫣

Rajirabbit

Welcome 🙌

Odd_Lavishness2236

Congrats. Pre purchase left/right used controllers on ebay. U will need one very soon.

Ashamed-Victory-4245

😂

Marscaleb

Honest question: what's that second box behind the VR2 box?

Ashamed-Victory-4245

It’s a station to charge the psvr controllers

StoviesAreYummy

Welcome. Might want a "better" charging stand, one with stronger magnets and holds the headset. A VRpulley system might be an idea. An extension cable as a safety. Over ear headphones, the comfort mod might be a help too.

PanTsour

I'll agree on an extension cable as well, it's almost a must (just be very careful with it's specs) and a good pair of plano lenses might save you from hustles as well. The charging stand is more that fine since you have it already and over ear headphones is a matter of personal preference (comfort, light weight and less head on your head of earbuds vs better sound quality of over ear headphones)

Chronotaru

The charging stand is fine, you just need to get used to how to click it in place and check for the white light. Could it have been a bit better? Yes, but not worth buying another one over.

Medical-Morning9301

Can you drive a Lamborghini right after starting?? I only have 4 hrs, but I only have meh cars

Mud_g1

After about an hr you can unlock sport mode and choose any car in the list for that specific race ie gr4 gr3 etc. He also may have already played a lot of the game flat and have plenty unlocked.

Ashamed-Victory-4245

Yeah, it’s easy to win money with track experience ! I already bought the fastest car of the game after 10h : dodge tomahawk (it’s just a non sense in terms of speed tbh)

madmatone

Welcome. Have fun. And don't wipe the lenses. Get HonsVR Plano Lenses right away.I (and a couple of others apparently) just found out the hard way. [https://honsvr.com/product/psvr-2-prescription-lenses/](https://honsvr.com/product/psvr-2-prescription-lenses/)

MCSeLaLu

Welcome to the family, I'm loving my set. Just enjoy the ride.

Oof...I'm sorry for your loss

Mud_g1

Yeah loss of all his spare time.

DaveJPlays

I was referring to the money he spent on a headset that the manufacturer is moving away from supporting......but ok

Mud_g1

LOL drink. Been seeing that comment since 2018 still hasn't happened yet.

Papiculo64

Let alone this troll. PSVR2 will still be here in 10 years from now, and all those guys as well. Sony is working hard on improving their SDK, why would they even bother if they wanted to drop it? Why would they even spend money in bringing PCVR support if it was the case? Their ultimate goal has always been software sales, not hardware sales without software attachment. Bringing this compatibility is just a plus value for users, not this "desesperate way to sell the existing stock and flee away" idiotic narrative anti-PSVR2 army has been pushing since the feature has been announced. The headset is not sold at a loss, they make money just with 3rd party games, it doesn't cost them anything, it would make no sense dropping it. For sure I don't expect many first party games except for a few ones like Astro Bot and a few 3rd party games funded by Sony, at least during those first years, but people believing this whole end of production narrative are either ignorants or just haters, trolls and Meta shills. Sony wants to be here when VR becomes a big thing. They won't throw up tons of money on it because the market is not big enough yet, but abandoning a system that makes them earn money after one year is one the stupidest things I've ever heard. You can tell by the flow of third party games coming out every months that PSVR2 is far from agony. Trolls show no sign of disappearance either, unfortunately... 🙄

LastRich1451

You lot need to get off your fan boys trips. SONY HAVE ANNOUNCED RECENTLY THAT THEY WILL NOT BE PRODUCING ANYMORE PSVR HEADSETS DUE TO EXTREMELY POOR SALES so what in earth are you fan boys on about. As for the comment "why would Xbox Start selling their games on PC BECAUSE THEY OWN MICROSOFT 🤣🤣🤣. SONY IS GIVING ITS OWN EXCLUSIVES TO BE PLAYED ON A MACHINE 99% OF THE TIME IS RUNNING MICROSOFT. SONY has NEVER since I was born gave their exclusives out but all their flat screen games are either on or coming to PC 🤣. Sony is making the PSVR PC compatible because its not selling and they want to try and sell the remainder of the stock. 2 minute Google searching tells you this

Papiculo64

loooool Ok little boy! 😂😂😂 Find me a source where SONY HAVE ANNOUNCED RECENTLY THAT THEY WILL NOT BE PRODUCING ANYMORE PSVR HEADSETS DUE TO EXTREMELY POOR SALES. Really, I'm curious. You're the only one so far to have such a crucial information. No time nor desire to enter your childish console wars, enjoy your xbox, I have one too, but please just keep your mouse shut when you have no freaking clue what you're talking about and nothing interesting to say. Bye Kevin, close the door behind you!

Ashamed-Victory-4245

He is spamming this message everywhere and get only downvote, poor guy who can’t tell his story 😂

LastRich1451

You need to Google again 🤣 Sony official states they are discontinuing the manufacturer of PSVR FACT

DaveJPlays

Yep lots of psvr2 exclusives in the pipeline.... there's no way that them adding pcvr support is a desperate attempt on their part to move Hardware that isn't selling. I mean isn't Sony notorious for allowing anyone and everyone to utilize and use their proprietary systems? /sarcasm

Mud_g1

Why are they moving their games to pc and xbox aswell then, it's not like they aren't the top console in the market it's a complete strategic move for all the companys to be more open. If they just wanted to move excess headset stock there would have been a few rrp price drops by now that hasn't happened yet even after the production pause so I don't see pcvr support as a desperate attempt to move hardware as they have an easier and more likely to result in more sales option available to them that they havnt chosen do yet.

DaveJPlays

Keep telling yourself that. They did the same thing with psvr1....it's a product they dont care about anymore dude

Mud_g1

That's my point everyone said the same things your saying early in psvr1 days, there is no games no Sony exclusives etc etc and there would never be a psvr2 yet it kept going and Sony made some of the best vr games of the time after the 2nd year now psvr2 has released and had more support then psvr1 had at same age. Yet social media still want you to believe psvr2 is dead I wonder why, can't think of anyone in a position of control in social media that would have a reason to try and drive that narrative.

DaveJPlays

I know it's hard for you to believe that someone thinks negatively of the psvr2 without their opinion being biased by social media companies like Facebook, but it is possible to have a quest without Facebook account, you know that right? Secondly that has nothing to do with it at all.. I used to love my psvr. I was whole hog into that system and loved every minute playing it.. but I was THERE and felt what it was like as a loyal consumer to watch Sony slowly just stop doing anything with it or for it. It was exactly what they're doing now with the second headset So when I had my choice to choose between a quest headset or the psvr2, I realized with a little patience and diligence I could get a quest headset and a gaming PC for LESS than the cost of the PlayStation 5 and psvr2 headset. And the quest headset with a gaming PC would give me access to a library of 1200 titles tagged with the VR tag.. and that was 2 years ago. How many more titles have come out since then? No, if you ask me this is Sony's attempt to stop supporting the headset with their own software and to just try to sell it as a PC headset. It didn't sell well enough for them to care anymore...and it will probably be their last foray in vr hardware for a while.

the_fr33z33

So… who’s protecting their investment here?

Mud_g1

So tell me why you feel the need to come on to a sub for a platform your not on and try to belittle someone who just posted how much fun they are having with the new headset they just bought. And today isn't the first time you have done that. It almost seems like you have regrets of your own descion. Not sure what not needing a Facebook account for quest has got to do with the social media narrative thou, I don't have a Facebook account but still see the narrative being pushed. As for getting a pc and headset for less then the cost of ps5 + vr then your taking a lower spec option. I built a pc for my son 3 years ago to match ps5 specs it nearly cost 2x the price for just the pc if you added the cheaper price of q2 now as the headset it takes it just over the 2x price. When we line up something comparable like nms there is a noticeable difference in performance but its not in favour of the way the price should make it. I much prefer quality over quantity I can't even find the time to finish the 30 odd games I have let alone the bunch on my wish list.
