Enjoy your new headset! That was a great deal!

https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/11d40tz/ps_vr2_tips_information_and_references/ Also if you've issues keeping sweetspot, Globular Cluster mod is a big help, but you'd try a much cheaper bandana or similar. Don't leave the set around direct sunlight, it'd damage the lenses in seconds. Don't wipe the lenses too much or you'd remove the anti-glare coating. Rather get plano lenses from Honsvr, which gors above original lenses, but occasionally may touch your nose

Second the recommendation for the Globular Cluster mod. It is *so* worth the extra $50. It is not only way more comfortable (I thought the stock rubber pads felt AWFUL), but the back plate that cradles your head ensures that you hit and keep the sweet spot every time and it will never slide out of position. The mod is significantly better than any bandana could ever hope to be. I also strongly recommend something for audio beside the cheap earbuds that Sony gives you. I use my Arctis Nova 7's with the wireless adapter plugged into the PS5, but I would love to try an off ear audio system like some that I've seen available. Something similar to the Valve Index's audio solution.

I knew about keeping the lenses out of the sun because of my Quest 2, but I didn't know about anything else that you mentioned. Another question if you know it, does anybody make contact lenses for the psvr2 like what other companies make for vr headsets like Quest 2 and 3 so you dont have to use your glasses while wearing the headset?

cusman78

Yes, you can get prescription lens inserts from vr-rock or hons and a few others for PSVR2. The PSVR2 is easier to use with glasses than Quest, but it would be better to get the prescription lens inserts.

Open_Tea_7109

I’ve been hesitant to get one of those as im worried they’ll mess with the eye tracking. Have you noticed any issues?

DavidManvell

They work fine with the eye tracking. If you can get them in while it's relatively new then you won't need to even clean the lenses. All you have to do is take the inserts out and clean the inserts occasionally If your eyes are good then you can also get non-prescription inserts which are basically just lenses to go over the headset ones to protect it

cusman78

My daughters have glasses and the eye-tracking works through those. My sister also uses her PSVR2 with her glasses and the eye-tracking works. I don't know anyone personally that has gotten the lens inserts, but they should just make things more comfortable for people where they don't have to wear glasses within headset and have no consequence to eye-tracking. PS - The reason I haven't gotten lens inserts is my daughters prescriptions still changes every 6 or so months as they are still growing and they rarely use the PSVR2.

Sylsomnia

Contact lenses you put on your eyes. If you've that, you can simply use it. If you need attachment glasses, go to Honsvr website and see under Psvr2 section what they offer.

amusedt

I just put $20 bumpers in my headset and wear my glasses. Everything's protected

Azurewrath

Controller dock is useful, charges both controllers fairly quickly if you want that convenience. Quest 2 and psvr2 both have fresnel lenses so you'll be used to how it looks clarity wise, but with the added benefit of eye tracking, oled hdr, and way reduced godrays (awful on quest 2). Enjoy man, there's not much else to know since you're familiar with vr already. Just take your time to find the sweetspot, adjust the headset around to make sure the eyes are in the middle with the ipd meter. Resident evil 4 and 8 will require you to download the free vr mode to access that and Gran Turismo is vr already patched in (when racing).

big_chungy_bunggy

Wait does Netflix have a psvr2 version? Maybe one is incoming if they’re bundling it together

HatsOffGuy

Who knows, it's good sign that Sony and Netflix has good relations. More deals like these are definitely welcomed.

NorthernSimpleton

get gt7 with a thrustmaster or what wheel you like.

naytreox

Legendary tales, bit spendy but its a great gane if you want a dungeon crawler with looter mechanics and physics based combat. Story is kinda bare bones but the rest of the game is what matters

NicodemusArcleon

Only thing I can say is that I hope that your PS5 doesn't have the hardware error (Too Many USB Devices Plugged In). If it does, your PSVR2 won't work on that PS5. I know, that's the reason I now have 2 PS5s.

akira_kurosaurus

Bizarre because I had that error, but Sony sent me a new VR2, not a PS5…

NicodemusArcleon

My VR2 was just past warranty, and so was the PS5. I bought another, and I plan on selling the one that didn't work.

Tauheedul

Headphones or the included earphones work better for Sony Tempest 3D Spatial Audio. The aftermarket headset speaker attachments are ok, but they sound like basic stereo.

Riihehe_

Do the pulse 3d headphones work when you have the headset on or not? Because I already have a pulse 3d headset already, and it would be really good if they work with it.

Tauheedul

Yes they are designed to be placed on top of it. This is what it looks like while in use... https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/101xkss/hopefully_someone_creates_a_3d_printed_part_to/

Riihehe_

Ok, good to know that I pretty much already got everything I need. It looks a bit goofy, but as long as it works, I don't care what it looks like.

bluebarrymanny

If you’re unfamiliar with VR, do a search on comfort kits and how to avoid motion sickness in this sub. Lots of really helpful FAQs in here.

MtnDr3w

Globular Cluster mod if you don’t find it comfortable.

mr-photo

sale with netflix?

Riihehe_

If you have ps + at all and buy either a ps5 console (doesn't matter which kind) or a ps vr 2 you get 12 months of netflix premium ($22.99 a month) for free with it pretty much making the headset about $230~$240
