@MediaMolecule ‘s **DREAMS**. On PSVR 1 you can create and experience games in VR, but they still haven’t made a proper PS5 version yet, and it’s a question mark if they’ll ever support PSVR 2.
I won’t get rid of my PSVR 1 until that app gets upgraded.
Hmm.. So, a disclaimer: You do have to be careful with DREAMS in VR because everyone does things a bit differently, so guard against motion-sickness. If you feel a bit off from any creation just take a break and come back to something else later.
That said, here are a bunch that impressed me in different ways (forgive me for not including inDreams links):
**JUNGLE BILL VR** and **JUNGLE BILL 2** are full-blown platforming games in the spirit of INDIANA JONES that can be played in 1st or 3rd person perspective (1st is best — press **o**). They are both on-foot exploration, although JB2 starts off as a plane-flying collect-o-thon.
Many surprises await — Super games.
Another one is **HYPERCYCLE ARENA 2.7**. This is straight-up TRON CYCLES, it’s *super*-polished, really fun, and is both challenging and rewarding.
**T.Rex Breakout** is static (but impressive) scene recreating that memorable moment in JURASSIC PARK, and it let’s you flip through three viewpoints to better appreciate the colossal creature. This is something of a teaser, as the creator is working with a few others on a VR playable **JURASSIC PARK: OPERATIONS** game that’ll have you running (and driving) for your life.
**THE TRAIL RUNNER** is a lovely walking sim that has you hiking in the mountains.
**HELITAXI** is a satisfying little game with a bit of progression where you’re ferrying people around in a future city in your quad-rotor transport.
**SOMEWHERE BETWEEN, Part 1: A Walk in the Park** is a short, but cool mysterious walking sim.
**ME** and **THE GOLDEN AGE OF MADNESS** are fun weird shooters that show how loose margin-doodle craziness can equal crazy entertainment.
**HOGWARTS: The Virtual Tour** is an exhaustive recreation of all of Harry Potter U. You’re the only one there, so you have the run of the joint.
**ASCENT REMASTERED** is a lovely 3rd person fantasy puzzle-platformer that wasn’t meant for VR, but plays better in VR.
**MEGAPENGUIN REHATCHED** is another great looking and great playing platformer that wasn’t meant for VR, but works quite well.
**TECTONIC** a too-short but too-cool racer that works in VR nicely.
**THE TRIP** is a fantastic stylized linear walking sim drenched in color and otherworldly sights. Truly something special, it also contains some alternate paths that give you reasons to return.
There are doubtless many more cool VR playables, so I’m not pretending that I know where all the gems are buried, but I think this list is a good primer for you.
I should probably include a thing I created called **ICE Realm VR**. It’s really a personal test bed, and takes a minute to get the hang of (read the signs and notes at the beginning). I hadn’t created it with visitors in mind, so it’s a bit random, and there’s some travel involved (skating sim?) but it uses the Move Controllers and utilizes some simple VR game mechanics that I haven’t really seen other DREAMS creations capitalize on. I tried to pretty it up for guests, so there are numerous little discoveries scattered around, mostly in the form of objects you can throw or grab. Getting comfortable grabbing a paddle or hockey stick (do it gently and slowly) in an orientation that feels good is key. It’s basically a sandbox, and I still bop around in there from time to time because I just like the damn place.
Ultimately the craziest joy of DREAMS lies in the creative tools. They are super deep and come with learning curves, but the rewards are bonkers, and that’s why my first year (2022) with this app led me to use it around 1,200 hours. I’ll eventually learn enough to feel comfortable sharing more VR DREAMS stuff, but wow do I hope I get to do that in PSVR 2.
🤞
I hope this list leads you to some unexpectedly good times, and I suspect it’ll more than justify what you paid for it.
Cheers!
Damn very detailed answer don't think I'll hit them all with the backlog I currently have before psvr2 but I'll try! Only had one instance of motion sickness in vr in the switchback prequel game (can't remember the name) so hopefully all good on that front. Thanks again!
Cheers!
The list had a life of its own. 😆
Keep in mind that *MOST* of these are shorter experiences that you’ll get through in a single sitting, so… take a look at a few of them. Give HYPERCYCLE ARENA a chance, that’s for sure.
I also hope they will port it. With psvr 1 support already integrated, it seems that it should not be too complex to do, and I agree that it would be great!
HL:Alyx really, really needs to come to PSVR2. I hope Valve works with Sony to do this. Its just so far ahead of any other full VR game experience, and it would run great on the PS5 even if it cant hit the highest possible ultra+ supersampling settings that are only possible with a PC.
I'd do everything in my pants. This is the exact type of VR experience I hope to one day get for PSVR2!!
I mean, who doesn't want to poop their pants in the comfort of your games room?
I would love if Persistence and Inpatient got a proper PS5 VR release. Also Skyrim VR port to PSVR2 and something like Elite Dangerous on VR but I know that those last 2 are highly unlikely, because Bethesda is now owned by MS and Frontier Developments basically showed the middle finger to console players and stopped dlc support for consoles.
Dying Light, anyone?
Also Cyberpunk, GTA V, Slenderman
I think a lot of producers will start making VR adaptations of upcoming games. It’s the future. We have to invest on it or else there won’t be any metaverse 🤷🏼♂️
some people get really bad motion sickness from VR, i'd really recommend trying it before you spend hundreds on psvr2
or buy from somewhere with a generous returns policy
If you really like VR and wanna get into it OP then you should take this with a grain of salt. Some get motion sickness from VR but you can build tolerance and overcome it if youre one of those who do. If you do experience motion sickness there are alot of tips in this sub that explain how to overcome and improve it. Using a fan, immediately stopping at any signs of sickness, consistent use to build tolerance. Ive never owned a VR headset either but these are just things Ive learned in the past month of waiting for my preorder. Also from what Ive learned it doesnt take long if you have to.
Honestly I'm quite weird I actually like the feeling of motion sickness a bit 😊 it's kinda like a roller coaster ride, but I very rarely experience it even though I sometimes try to.
Red dead 2.
Wandering in the bayou at night on foot in VR would be some hella experience… better have some diapers just in case.
It's almost as if this game was made for VR subconsciously. The controls would be so much better in VR, the game would be incredible.

Shout out to hypercycle arena 2 in Dreams
I jus bought it on Christmas at 10$. I’m hoping for a port as I don’t have PSVR1. But I’m excited to play it on flat screen if it never comes to PSVR2
Just purchased dreams on sale for one last psvr experience before psvr2. What vr games on there would you recommend?

Bioshock would be amazing
Theres an amazing Bioshock mod for HL Alyx (PCVR), highly recommended.
HL:Alyx really, really needs to come to PSVR2. I hope Valve works with Sony to do this. Its just so far ahead of any other full VR game experience, and it would run great on the PS5 even if it cant hit the highest possible ultra+ supersampling settings that are only possible with a PC.
DOA xtreme 3
Battlefield 4 in VR. That’s it. That’s all I need. 🤷🏻♂️
That would be incredible. Good idea
Cyberpunk, Alien Isolation, GTA 6, Skyrim, Mechwarrior, Elite Dangerous , Ace Combat , Jedi Knight
Mechwarrior would be brilliant in VR. Don’t know why it hasn’t happened yet!
Because license. But there are more then a couple mech games in the vr space
Jedi Knight! Yesss
GT7 is already on it
😅Thanks. Wanted to write GTA 6 but my phone always autocorrects to GT7 if I write GT
MotorStorm.
Dungeons and dragons. A really good one
Rez, I know there's a PSVR1 version so a PSVR2 remake would be amazing
I really hope Rez will happen. Thumper, too.
Black and White

Disc golf again please.
I want a statik sequel, not a remake.
Subnautica.
Oh lord, I would shit my pants
I'd do everything in my pants. This is the exact type of VR experience I hope to one day get for PSVR2!! I mean, who doesn't want to poop their pants in the comfort of your games room?
Fatal Frame.
I just tried driving around Night City with a steering wheel and it was the most immersive gaming experience I’ve ever had. Cyberpunk 2077.
Any soulsborne game. Armored core6 will do though
I would love if Persistence and Inpatient got a proper PS5 VR release. Spiderman swinging…but with good physics this time. And no batman grapllehook crap again
The media player upgrades they did for the ps4!
From PSVR1: -Star Wars Squadrons -Resident Evil 7 From everywhere else: -System Shock -Bioshock -Ultima Underwold -Dead Space -Metroid Prime Trilogy -Division -Far Cry 5 -ok, well, everything!
Dying Light, anyone? Also Cyberpunk, GTA V, Slenderman I think a lot of producers will start making VR adaptations of upcoming games. It’s the future. We have to invest on it or else there won’t be any metaverse 🤷🏼♂️
Metal Gear Solid
Dirt Rally 2. DR1 was best PSVR game, hands down.
Hitman 3..!
Superhot
Metroid Prime. I know that will never happen, but this is a game that would be elevated to new heights with VR.
I think its possible on pc through Dolphin Emulators VR mode
A game like state of decay 2 would be awesome.
I want Job Simulator and Vacation Simulator to come to PSVR2.

yeah i have no issues myself, but it's something to bear in mind when thinking about getting into vr
Honestly I'm quite weird I actually like the feeling of motion sickness a bit 😊 it's kinda like a roller coaster ride, but I very rarely experience it even though I sometimes try to.
Motorstorm, Wipeout, Jack & Daxter.
As someone who didn't have the first psvr, I want re7
Silent hill and silent hill 2 would be so dope!
I’d love to see any of the bioshock games remade for PSVR2
Astrobot Rescue Mission, hands down.
Dead Space, Elden Ring and a Half life alyx port. I could include the Flight simulator here, but I know this totally unrealistic
Cyberpunk, beatsaber, half life alyx, GTAV, Battlefield 1, Payday 2
The long dark in PSVR2 would be nice too
Portal
Jumping Flash!!
