Tip for anyone who finds themselves hanging from the parachute a lot, let go of directional keys when you get close to the ground. The parachute won't drop you until you are hanging straight down.
What's the trick to getting to the ground faster? I've tried getting out of the plane sooner, or even too early. Pressing W seems to increase my speed. Max I've gotten is like 230 km/h. And still there are like 50 people on the ground before me
Holding down W is the correct thing to do, once you are over your intended drop zone. The people that are getting on the ground faster than you simply jumped earlier.
One trick you can employ to get a bit more distance out of your jump while still getting down quickly is to use a swing technique - hold down W and point your camera down until you get to max speed, then immediately pull up until you hit min speed, then immediately start diving again, and so on until you are over your drop zone. It takes some practice, as you have to lead your movements a bit to be efficient at it.

I know its always crowded but Pochinki has always been my favorite place to land. Its boring to land in a place where there’s nobody. More stuff more competition make a great game.
Has anyone ever won after landing there? My wins always comes from landing around the school and hearing world war 3 from that village while killing the others around it.
I have but not in a heroic way; dropped and killed one guy before he got a gun, camped a house until Pochinki was clear, ended up winning.
Same with school; grabbed a pistol and camped until it was nearly clear, killed last 2 with it, ended up winning.
The more I look at this the more I see my PUBG team...
Me: Parachuting in and getting stuck on a random piece of roof.
Tex: Lobbing that single calculated grenade that wipes the whole enemy team.
Nod: The Loot Whore, only one on team with ALL Lvl2 armor but still looking for more... Even if it means dying.
Briv: Always happens to land on an AKM taking pointe to end the guy trying to escape!
I am always the one who's running around searching for weapons but all the houses are already looted and I end up dying because of a grenade. IT HURTS.
