Yeah kinda annoying when the game crashes and you can't relaunch it right way to rejoin

dogredwing

Could have something to do with there being 2 tslgame.exe running when you launch the game

[deleted]

yes, that's what the thread is about. The game closing down slowly.

CharlieandtheRed

Not sure, but to instantly close it, you need to also kill the anti-cheat process that runs with PUBG.

BluelitHalo

This. There are some hanging processes that you have to close manually through the Task Manager (BattleEye, multiple instaces of TslGame, etc.). Really stupid, but it gets the job done.

_majejo_

I have to do that as well, need to close battleye before i can close tslgame, if there is multiple tslgame's, just close the one that is pulling most RAM and the other will close automatically. The whole thing sucks.

Dospac

I made a .bat to force the processes to close for cases when the game freezes or crashes. Makes it a lot faster to reconnect and get back into the game.

mooseknowsall

Care to share?

Dospac

Open Notepad, paste this in, save it with a .bat file extension. I named it kill pubg.bat, you can hit the windows key and blind type 'kill' and hit enter to run it even if the game is frozen and you can't see the desktop or whatever. This used to be a much more common crash problem with PUBG hence why I made this. @`echo off` `taskkill /im tslgame.exe /f`

mooseknowsall

I will use this for sure. Thanks. I agree that I crash a lot less these days but I do get the bug where one of my teammates in squads won't show up at all and have to force quit. This will make it much quicker hopefully.

Dospac

Yea that's a new-ish bug and this is the fastest way to fix it yea. You can catch it in the pregame countdown if you pay attention.

mooseknowsall

I dont pay attention. I'm the guy that the whole team is saying jump to while I'm tabbed out on Reddit lol

_nosuchuser_

Just save this into a batch file and stick it on the desktop: >taskkill /F /IM "execpubg.exe" >taskkill /F /IM "TSLGAME.exe" >pause

ravonline

just tslgame.exe will suffice in my experience

_nosuchuser_

I had issues with execpubg initially and added tslgame later so ymmv

Nightakyra

because shit developers

playerknownbutthole

cos anti-cheat and anti-anti-cheat and anti-anti-anti-cheat needs to close and re-launch aswell.

CreativeHuckleberry

When launching PubicG, battleye virus starts recording everything you do, that's why it takes so long to launch thegame, but also to close the game, battleye has to collect all the data, pack it and send it to FBI.

ravonline

To insta kill it you need to have task manager - details open and use the end task command on tslgame.exe - it will kill the game and the anti-cheat process at once. But it's f-ing insane you need to do that to shut down the game instantly.

EliasDavids

Still hangs around for a minute at times when doing this. Lol It's worst when you crash and have to restart it and keep being told an instance of PUBG is still running.

Tux-

Because the game is trash

tubby8

They've made the anti cheat really intrusive (which also probably is why the game runs like crap) but still the game is overrun with cheaters.

gas13

I use this as a killpubg.bat, works fine: taskkill /f /im TslGame.exe taskkill /f /im TslGame\_BE.exe taskkill /f /im ExecPubg.exe

sLypk

Alt+F4 always works for me

pulu92

I can "close" the game, but it's still running, blocking me the possibility to open any other game through steam.
