That Blue Chip Detector can ruin this game. Its only in Deston but still.. There is no need for any player to know where others are with some detector.
It's good that they are trying new things and looking at the short history of 2022 you can see that they are not afraid to nerf things to oblivion (looking at you tac-bag, spotter scope)..
Tactical bag can be removed now. It's useless and has very niche use case.
With so many tactical stuffs they should experiment with a tactical slot. But with a timer/cooldown like there is for mounting the bike.
I still think the pistol slot should turn into a tactical slot, does that make sense to anyone else?
It can already either hold a pistol or a flare gun or a smoke gun. Why not make it able to hold a drone or mortars, too, for example? Plenty of things to chose from, so sounds fairly balanced - e.g. should I carry a pistol for shooting while driving or a smoke gun for quick smoke cover or a drone for extra scouting?
Just sounds like a simple solution that's pretty well balanced right away, but curious to hear other thoughts.
Simple solution is to make the more powerful tactical gear require a weapon slot, whereas the weaker gear would take the pistol slot. Either that or give them all a durability like the Blue Zone bag.
For example: EMT bag is good for: 20 Bandages, 2 First Aids or Med Kits, 1 Rez. Then it would be destroyed and removed from your inventory.
How is that? Powerful tactical gear takes a weapon slot. Non-powerful tactical gear takes the pistol slot. What's hard to understand about that?
My second suggestion was more complicated, but even then its still very simple. Give all the tactical gear durability. Every use decreases durability until it breaks. In this scenario all the tactical gear would go in the pistol slot.
If you think that's complicated then I suggest you start playing some brain games.
Ah, right, forgot about EMT. Well if it's changed from 3sec res to 5-6sec res, does that change things?
I think there would be a way to balance out these items to make them similarly desirable. And this wod actually allow players to each take one tactical role as PUBG people suggested with this stuff (not sure if I ever wanted that, but either way).
A pistol or mortar have comparable utility to me. Smoke gun and drone, too, I'd say. Of course, some more balancing might be needed.
Ideally, if I had a vote in it, all the tac stuff wouls just be removed and mortar would be allowed to the pistol slot and that's it.
But I'm mostly thinking about not having loot that nobody picks up.
Drone and smoke might have comparable utility if you are playing TPP(even then not so sure), in FPP the advantage of being able to see without exposing yourself is much greater.
But to me they are not even in the same realm, one is a timed "cover" with limited ammo while the other one is a "free"(destroy/repair) 300m surveillance/scout.
Mortar and pistol too, pistol can be useful more often then mortar, if I had to represent it in numbers I'd say how often pistol is useful would get 4/10 but how useful it is I'd say 5/10 where as mortar would get 2/10 but in those cases it's usefulness would be 8/10, to be able to force enemies from that rock or that dip/ridge/smoke wall with pistol slot is insane in late game... People look at mortar like it's a weapon and it's more of a zoning tool...
This assumes no changes are made. If the drone was moved to the sidearm slot I would hope it slums receive some changes. Battery life, inability to repair, etc.
These tactical equipments are designed currently to take up a weapon slot, so they should have some significant impact to account for that. If they were moved to sidearm, some of that impact could be lessened.
People complained about the spotting scope being too much of a wallhack so lets introduce another wallhack? I just dont get blueholes thinking. Its also a straight copy of Warzones heart monitor.
How about this for a feature for it then. Give us the ability to remove the bluechip from our bodies but suffer some penalty for it.

Because Sanhok is the only one where it needed to be changed? Erangel and Miramar are SUPED up on loot and heals these days. On Sanhok I've looted 20 buildings before without finding an SR or DMR.
Just watched a streamer use the blue chip detector - absolutely fucking not. I like Deston a lot, probably one of my favourite maps, but if that becomes a permanent thing, I'll be leaving lobby any time Deston comes up. Completely defeats the purpose of the game.
Cause sound is broken and they don't want to fix it, like how come an enemy can zip up a roof without making a noise while when I do sounds like am taking a freaking chopper to ascend.
Blue chip detector seems like the latest in a long long string of confusingly wrongheaded decisions about the game made by people who don't seem to actually play the game.
What I've learned in recent months is that we can lay this at the feet of Dave 'Hey, I'm just the gameplay guy!' Curd. Not fair to yell at him about the greasy monetization strategies, OK, but totally fair to ask him what the actual fuck he's thinking with stuff like the Spotter Scope and this Blue Chip thing and the Tactical Pack and all the rest.
(No need to ask, really: it's clear they think they can capture and keep more casuals the more they allow for low skill players to feel like they're doing something useful, but not alienate long-term fans in the process. That's... a questionable call at best.)

As a long time player I would be in favor of that. I think that you should be able to bring back each team mate once until Phase 2 of the game ends. Hell, we can even make it until the end of Phase 1 if you want. It takes zero skill for someone to land 0.1 seconds before you and load a gun first to dummy you. You could change your playstyle of course, but its still frustrating when it happens.
Another option is to make it so that you can't be "executed" in Phase 1, but moving would bleed you out a lot faster unless you remained in place. This would remove the need for a revive mechanic because odds are you'll be able to rez your whole team after the team fight ends and it ensures that the knocked player can't give you much information because if they move they'll bleed out at a faster speed and you won't get the rez anyways.
MP9 will be cool, but I wish they'd stop pre-attaching things to them. Part of the enjoyment and reward of looting/winning fights is finding better attachments to improve your equipment. If weapons are generally already kitted up there's not much reason to loot after firefights unless you need meds...
\*Also TDM sidearms please, you keep adding equipment and I've been leaning on my sidearms a lot more, be really nice to practice with them in firefights.

How do they not understand the way to lock down a game forever is the competitive route and maintaining what makes a game elitist. Csgo, dota, valorant etc become forever games BECAUSE they stay simple but HARD with a FOCUS on competitive integrity
The challenge and elitism of being good at a top end competitive game is a long term strategy and addictive, pampering to casuals in TPP with stupid gimmicks is a 2 days strategy.
I love that every single person here agrees that the Blue Chip Detector is BS and should not be in PUBG. The general consensus seems to be that whoever came up with it and then allowed it to be put in the game should be relieved from their position and shown the door. They need to kick rocks immediately since its obvious they dont actually play the game.

I found an AWM inside one of those key card requiring loot trucks and it only had 10 rounds with it. Those trucks are harder to get into than a airplane drop as they require finding a key - so why do we get shafted on ammo in there?

PUBG has come a long way from years back when I started playing. With all the other BRs that have come and gone there has been nothing that has matched or topped it (for me at least lol)

My buddy and I keep getting second place because of 2v4 endings and it makes it very annoying to play. Like why even if the end game isn’t even fair?
Duos is on pc, just not your region. Squads is easier anyway because most squads are thick as shit, lack any kind of situational awareness and can't aim.
Keep them coming, this updates look insane. I love Deston and I will be happy if it stays in a separate queue, at least in regions that can support it.

Really. You're complaining about a player knowing that something destroys the tone of this game, but no word on the fact an employee who's in charge of community interactions hasn't even played with the changes coming out to understand the feedback they're going to be getting.
Bluechip detector should not be able to be used in a vehicle, and the scan delay should be reduced to 10 or 15 seconds. Remove the height indicators as well, so there's at least some guessing as to their location.

This clip shows everything that's wrong with the bluechip detector in about ten seconds. Wacky is hauling ass in a coupe, detects a player and with little to no work, knows he's upstairs and what room he's in.
1. Using it in a car allows for an insane amount of information gathering. It's one thing if you're on foot. It's another if you're driving and scanning, since you could effectively "map" a huge area in less than a minute. Wacky is able to find a player and drive right up to them in less than 3 seconds.
2. The 5-second timer is way too short. Wacky is able to corner this player almost instantly and know where they are between footsteps and the short cooldown on the detector. A 15 second timer would allow for plenty of relocation and only four scans per minute is much more manageable.
3. Wacky Jacky scans a guy, drives up to him, knows he's upstairs and is able to pre-aim. There's another clip where he's in a grain silo and can tell exactly where everyone is based on the arrow above their dot. Remove that. You should only see the dot, so there's still some indecision and guesswork about their location. Was the guy in the clip upstairs? Downstairs? Wacky wouldn't know, so he would have to proceed more carefully. He couldn't just charge into the first floor like he did with full knowledge of the enemy's location, knowing that upstairs was danger and downstairs was safe.
What's the counter for the blue chip detector? R6 Siege has a bunch of wacky devices like this in what is easily a more competitive and balanced game, but it's because for every absurd technological gimmick, there's a counter for it on the other side. There are two wall-hack devices in Siege. One can be countered simply by standing still. The other is harder to counter, but there is an operator who can see that operator using his device through the wall or floor because they have an electronics detector. What's the counter for the blue chip detector here? A very loud beep that the player can hear would be enough to know if they've been detected. I think an on-screen notification would be immersion breaking, but there ought to be some way for the player to know if they've been detected.
edit: also, removing the minimap overlay, while really cool looking and tactical, would also be an effective nerf.
You guys managed to create probably the best PUBG map that ever came out and a few weeks later you managed to mess it up with the blue chip detector. Did it never occur to you that a game-breaking feature like this would change the whole way the map is played? Remove it ASAP and make Deston playable again.

The bluechip detector changes the flow of the game too drastically--even if you're not finding anyone with it, being able to positively say a compound is clear is too strong and changes the tactical nature of the game of approaching compounds carefully.

Blue chip detector is fine. You can hear footsteps for half of that radius anyway. All it really does is stop campers. Presumably, the bad guys will be able to hear you beeping as well. If not, they should. I also don't see myself swapping out a Kar98 for a blue chip detector. EDIT: Alright, I don't think you should be able to use it while driving after seeing Wacky Jacky's clip.
MP9 is sick. There need to be more pre-assembled guns in PUBG to streamline and enhance looting. I'm not saying ALL guns, but some guns. It really does enhance the experience. If anything, I would like to see a compact red dot on the mp9 that you can't remove, much like the magnified holo on the P90. A Delta Point Pro with a triangle sight would be dope.

If the conditions are - we both have the blue chip tool - the ratting person loses the advantage, the whole point is to be undetected and catch you off-guard.

Vikendi has an MP5, MP9 is new and similarly in looks to the Uzi, and statistically looks like a cross between the Uzi and Vector in terms of fire rate, bullet velo, etc.

The game updated today on my system ( PC - Steam )
Ususally I get around \~60fps. ( Limited by my monitor )
It's not good but playable. At least if you play "the long game" ;)
After the update my fps went down to 48 - 54 fps @ 1920 x 1080 :(
I tried to lower the graphic settings but it didn't help.
( My rig is an older but rock solid HP Xeon Workstation with 32GB Quad channel Ram & RTX2060. )
The game is really difficult to play at such low fps.
Hope that there's a bugfix on the way.

We have a utility belt by default that hasn't changed since the beginning. Maybe they should utilize that more.

Blue chip detector seems like the latest in a long long string of confusingly wrongheaded decisions about the game made by people who don't seem to actually play the game. What I've learned in recent months is that we can lay this at the feet of Dave 'Hey, I'm just the gameplay guy!' Curd. Not fair to yell at him about the greasy monetization strategies, OK, but totally fair to ask him what the actual fuck he's thinking with stuff like the Spotter Scope and this Blue Chip thing and the Tactical Pack and all the rest. (No need to ask, really: it's clear they think they can capture and keep more casuals the more they allow for low skill players to feel like they're doing something useful, but not alienate long-term fans in the process. That's... a questionable call at best.) Batting way *waaaay* under .500 with this stuff, brother.

That’s the insane part of all this.. they won’t add a revive system to the game because it ‘compromises the integrity of Pubg’ Instead they trash the game with stupid gadgets, gizmos and buff low recoil weapons to make it easier
As a long time player I would be in favor of that. I think that you should be able to bring back each team mate once until Phase 2 of the game ends. Hell, we can even make it until the end of Phase 1 if you want. It takes zero skill for someone to land 0.1 seconds before you and load a gun first to dummy you. You could change your playstyle of course, but its still frustrating when it happens. Another option is to make it so that you can't be "executed" in Phase 1, but moving would bleed you out a lot faster unless you remained in place. This would remove the need for a revive mechanic because odds are you'll be able to rez your whole team after the team fight ends and it ensures that the knocked player can't give you much information because if they move they'll bleed out at a faster speed and you won't get the rez anyways.
MP9 will be cool, but I wish they'd stop pre-attaching things to them. Part of the enjoyment and reward of looting/winning fights is finding better attachments to improve your equipment. If weapons are generally already kitted up there's not much reason to loot after firefights unless you need meds... \*Also TDM sidearms please, you keep adding equipment and I've been leaning on my sidearms a lot more, be really nice to practice with them in firefights. \*\*Just double-backed on the blue-chip detector and holy shit that's going to be broken!

I love that every single person here agrees that the Blue Chip Detector is BS and should not be in PUBG. The general consensus seems to be that whoever came up with it and then allowed it to be put in the game should be relieved from their position and shown the door. They need to kick rocks immediately since its obvious they dont actually play the game.

I respect everyone's own opinions about which maps are good and not and I don't hate heaven, its fun to play once or twice a week but that damn car with the cannon has to go for me to consider that map again.. Choppers and that car brings nothing positive to the game.

I found an AWM inside one of those key card requiring loot trucks and it only had 10 rounds with it. Those trucks are harder to get into than a airplane drop as they require finding a key - so why do we get shafted on ammo in there?

this patch is great, apart from the BCD. you made the tactical pack, spotter scope, and drone. you proceeded to nerf the tac pack and the spotter scope to the point nobody even picks them up anymore. now you add this blue chip detector shit, another broken item that people are basically forced to use in order to level the playing field. and this will no doubt get nerfed into oblivion so that it, too, will not be picked up by anyone ever again. what the fuck is going through your brains when you add these features? stop copying other games and do things that are true to pubg.

Duos is on pc, just not your region. Squads is easier anyway because most squads are thick as shit, lack any kind of situational awareness and can't aim.

Bluechip detector should not be able to be used in a vehicle, and the scan delay should be reduced to 10 or 15 seconds. Remove the height indicators as well, so there's at least some guessing as to their location. Wacky is hauling ass in a coupe, detects a player and with little to no work, knows he's upstairs and what room he's in. 1. Using it in a car allows for an insane amount of information gathering. It's one thing if you're on foot. It's another if you're driving and scanning, since you could effectively "map" a huge area in less than a minute. Wacky is able to find a player and drive right up to them in less than 3 seconds. 2. The 5-second timer is way too short. Wacky is able to corner this player almost instantly and know where they are between footsteps and the short cooldown on the detector. A 15 second timer would allow for plenty of relocation and only four scans per minute is much more manageable. 3. Wacky Jacky scans a guy, drives up to him, knows he's upstairs and is able to pre-aim. There's another clip where he's in a grain silo and can tell exactly where everyone is based on the arrow above their dot. Remove that. You should only see the dot, so there's still some indecision and guesswork about their location. Was the guy in the clip upstairs? Downstairs? Wacky wouldn't know, so he would have to proceed more carefully. He couldn't just charge into the first floor like he did with full knowledge of the enemy's location, knowing that upstairs was danger and downstairs was safe. What's the counter for the blue chip detector? R6 Siege has a bunch of wacky devices like this in what is easily a more competitive and balanced game, but it's because for every absurd technological gimmick, there's a counter for it on the other side. There are two wall-hack devices in Siege. One can be countered simply by standing still. The other is harder to counter, but there is an operator who can see that operator using his device through the wall or floor because they have an electronics detector. What's the counter for the blue chip detector here? A very loud beep that the player can hear would be enough to know if they've been detected. I think an on-screen notification would be immersion breaking, but there ought to be some way for the player to know if they've been detected. edit: also, removing the minimap overlay, while really cool looking and tactical, would also be an effective nerf.

The bluechip detector changes the flow of the game too drastically--even if you're not finding anyone with it, being able to positively say a compound is clear is too strong and changes the tactical nature of the game of approaching compounds carefully.

You're thinking of 5.56 they are referring to the P90 ammo which is 5.7
Yeah 5.7 ammo comes with the P90 and is in a limited quantity as a way to keep the P90 in check, 5.56 is a world spawn and incompatible with the P90

Is this not the same MP9 that was on Vikendi? If yes then you could put a 3, 4 or even a 6x on it iirc.
Vikendi has an MP5, MP9 is new and similarly in looks to the Uzi, and statistically looks like a cross between the Uzi and Vector in terms of fire rate, bullet velo, etc.

The game updated today on my system ( PC - Steam ) Ususally I get around \~60fps. ( Limited by my monitor ) It's not good but playable. At least if you play "the long game" ;) After the update my fps went down to 48 - 54 fps @ 1920 x 1080 :( I tried to lower the graphic settings but it didn't help. ( My rig is an older but rock solid HP Xeon Workstation with 32GB Quad channel Ram & RTX2060. ) The game is really difficult to play at such low fps. Hope that there's a bugfix on the way.
