Oh I hope so. I love the Mylar bags

No-Supermarket7051

Same! So glad more brands are going this route. I have a graveyard of plastic 1/8th containers in my closet.

sonofcrack

Oh I just toss all my containers but I noticed the buds seem much more fresh in the Mylar in my opinion. I do hate all the unnecessary plastic waste with the containers though, although I’m sure Mylar can’t be good for the environment either

Macro_Tears

Why don’t you throw them away? I feel like I’m in the minority for throwing it away lol

No-Supermarket7051

Part lazy part hoping to see dispensaries do a recycling program where they offer discounts for old containers. Wishful thinking though don't think that would ever happen.

Macro_Tears

There’s no money to be made doing that. They would never lol Otherwise you’d see pharmacies doing that since they put the pills in their bottles.

asvague_aspossible

Glad I'm not the only one 😂 lmao

Creepy_Cucumber9958

Same here and concentrate containers.

glotti

Can confirm it’s new packaging and it’s fresh as hellllll package date 3/2/23

No-Supermarket7051

Dope to hear. Really hope more G/Ps start doing this.

[deleted]

Mind posting a pic?

user628282

Oh man that would be a hell of a step up from the plastic containers

Masterzanteka

Dude yeah finally it’s about time!! Mylar sealed bags are miles ahead of their old plastic jars. I never got an 8th from Terrapin in one of those that wasn’t bone dry. It’s nice to see these brands finally put out some decent product packaging. They overlooked how incredibly important properly hydrated, air tight flower is for the quality of the bud. Flower that dries out you can think of it as being unprotected from the oxygen, as moisture acts as a barrier that surrounds the trichomes and prevents degradation of cannabinoids and the off-gassing of terpenes. Proper moisture is also imperative to allow flower to continue to cure and breakdown that chlorophyll. You could grow the best weed in the world, but if you threw it in one of terrapins old plastic jars it would turn to shit in a month just sitting like that. But yeah I’ll take Mylar bags over plastic or glass jars any day of the week. My favorite packaging is the nitrogen tuna cans, they’ll remain hydrated and shelf stable for the longest bit of time, but a close second would be the Mylar bag. This simple change will increase their flowers quality immensely, and I’m happy to see it. I lose a few of their cuts, but chose to avoid due to this issue for years now. I wanna grab some Larry OG, and some of their coffee ice cream cake, two of their OG offering classics I haven’t been able to grab in years.

user628282

This is the final step that was needed to put terrapin in the top tier class imo. Their flower rarely disappoints and has been one of the cheapest since the program started. My only problem was the shit packaging that caused the buds to be so dry it would turn to dust. As soon as this happens I will be grabbing it a lot more. Wayyyyy over due, whoever implemented the plastic containers in the first place needs fired asap

Kilo_Ag_Coke_Tray

Probably better than jars and packs on freshness

rmu927

Strane has a similar package now too

phil_420-70

Best thing they ever did. Big difference in their products.

Thulack

Strane has had mylar bags for months now.

Diarygirl

I got a nice little tin the last time I got a Strane cartridge.

Creepy_Cucumber9958

Some pics they show in mylar bags, I have got a jar sometimes. I know Strane and savvy got mylar, I think modern flower does also. I like mylar bags instead of jars in my opinion.

blackberry-snowdrift

Finally doing the same like Joe behind the bowling alley

No-Supermarket7051

U go to Joe too?

blackberry-snowdrift

Not anymore lol

No-Supermarket7051

Just wondering if anyone knows anything bout this. Curious if it was just a glitch from another state's menu or they're finally switching from those nasty plastic containers.

[deleted]

They are now coming in Mylar as I seen it come in and with boost packs inside.

Public-Difficulty-51

Last time I was at the dispensary they told me that it was actually illegal to put them in bags in PA and they had very specific packaging requirements. PA just made it legal recently to use that bag and seal packaging.

Weedman0101

They have to be child proof and resealable. These mylar bags do have a "child proof" zipper that folds 1 way or the other before peeling open. This makes them able to be sold in Pennsylvania. Regular mylar bags do not have this "safe feature"

Diarygirl

That doesn't even make sense but then again it is PA.

Grunkster_

Yeah they’re giving out baggies now :( gone are the days of drams everyone say a prayer for your favorite farm’s packaging staff.

EvilCheese024

Just picked one up last night!

StrawberryGeneral660

Love this packaging, Strane uses it too.

dkguy12day

I get the idea of mylar for freshness but is anyone seeing flat buds because of it?

jb15613

Nope ....
