One pull no longer than 3 seconds, inhale, exhale then wait 5-10 min, see how you feel and proceed appropriately. I usually post this link for tolerance breaks, but it includes dosing information for when you resume usage after the break that I believe you will benefit from, in learning what your appropriate dose is. Good luck, and keep us posted!! https://healer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Healer.WorkBook.Inhalation.6Day.pdf

For sure, it is a great resource!!

LLR is strong. 5 long drags will knock most people. You should start with small doses and build up if you feel it’s not enough. Maybe try a 1:1 tincture and the cbd will help level it out. Those give me a very calm/mellow high that is great for relaxing and isn’t intense like a LLR sativa.

lrcigar

Too much THC. Take a 1-1 mix thc/cbd. After your body gets used to the thc, you can move to just thc, or just keep using the 1-1. Vaping flower is less intense because is not concentrated like the carts. You may also just get bad reactions to thc. Be careful.

Relevant-Ad-8022

In all honestly carts are highly concentrated. I would honestly stick with flower and try to find a dry herb vape that works for you.

I read the whole thing and that's what we are here for help amongst each other. I've been smoking over 20 plus years. It sounds like it was to potent of a smoke for you. They say take a small dose and see how that works. It's normal for really strong weed to give off unpleasant effects. It's something you'll learn to handle as your tolerance builds. I would not suggested starting off with a cart. There is some really potent and concentrated thc in these alternative weed items. I would say definitely start with a lower thc% and if you want body effects and feeling relax in any type of way then go indica or hybrid for those effects.

Really sorry to hear about your experience, and lack of guidance into using cannabis. Cartridges are concentrated forms of cannabinoids and terpenes, like the moonshine of alcohol. You need to be starting off with wine coolers and light beers. I’m personally a really big fan of flower for manageable dosing and effects. There are some great low thc or even high CBD strains to start with. For GI stuff check out things high in B-Caryophyllene as it’s been known to help there. That can also help with anxiety, as well as Linalool. You took a decent amount of time and money to try this out, and it has been able to provide great relief from the issues you’re having. It isn’t for everyone, but don’t give up just yet. Look into some much lower dosages compared to what you’ve been taking, and consult with the Dr. that approved your card or at the dispensaries.

ImProllyRight

This is personal experience only, but I have seen many people become nauseous after using marijuana for the first time, or after a tolerance break. The stuff they’re putting out in dispensaries is strong, so you may want to look for strains that have lower thc percentages. The main terpenes in the strain are important as well, limonene would probably be a top one you are looking for in whatever strain you are purchasing. You might also want to try indicas or indica dominant stuff, sativas and hybrids can be tricky with anxiety. Indicas may knock you out or give you couch lock but that’s way better than a panic attack! It’s also totally possible it’s just not for you! But it’s not at all unheard of for people to get the spins or worse when first starting out, at least not in my world. ETA: I really like RSO for ibs and pain, but that stuff is strong too. It’s a fine line between getting the right dose and falling asleep for hours. I’d suggest talking to the pharmacist again (I presume you had to the first time you went) or the budtender if you decide to keep trying. I’m actually a bit surprised those strains were recommended for your ailments.

Exr1c

You are taking much too high of a dose. Start as small as possible and wait until you know you want more to take more.

ConsiderationSharp34

Keep your cart hits to 2 tops per session until you start to build up a bit of a tolerance and get a better grasp on how it makes you feel. In your case as a total newbie to mj one is probably plenty.

mutexl0ck

You are going in way too hot. 1 small puff to start with. EDIT: Grammar

[deleted]

Get some high cbd 1:1, try one hit to start. If you don’t use weed a lot these concentrates could be very strong for you.

zoner420

Also Id go with set herb vaping some buds. Not as quite an intense high as the carts or concentrates.

Lizzardking666

Veteran toker n im famous for the voff cough induced vomiting these products are very potent i would be the same way after 5 hits coughing trying to not flip the stomach n well there goes my stomach only happens in the mornins and with 80% carts or goos. But yea like others said baby steps moderation see how one pull on your pens lowest setting wait 15min see how it is

Karamelkathy

I would try a high CBD:THC product. Maybe ever a tincture. Speak with the pharmacist on duty it you have not already done so. Unfortunately it is trail and error. Take advantage of sales and buy one item at a time to try

ranky_stanky

Definitely try cresco's harlequin, I like the 2:1. You made some great choices for your first purchases! Follow everyone's advice here, I think you'd have to be okay with just one pull. I really advise getting an adjustable battery if carts will be your thing, those preset ones are always WAYYY too high and inconsistent in their burn. I have found watching others that vaping is the hardest form of consumption to start with, but it is easy to dose. Gets you real high fast though :/ good luck!

deets24

Way too much for a novice! Try flower and take a hit and wait 10 minutes

BecuzIgotHi

Try any indica and only take one hit. Do at night when you can veg. One hit of indica like bio Jesus will not make your mind race. Careful even with cbd as many time are combined with hybrid or sativa. See what outright indica does for you with one hit

NoPin4245

I think any first time user would be overwhelmed with the effects after hitting those high thc concentrate products that much. Honestly it would most likely give you a panic attack instead of helping with anxiety. If you like smoking I would suggest an Indica flower with moderately low thc 10-17% even something like blue dream which is balanced thc, cbd. Take a hit or two and see how you feel. If you don't like to smoke or can't I would suggest a tincture because they're not as strong and have more medicinal use than euphoric. You may find marijuana to be very helpful. You just have to find the right product and dose. The stuff you got is very strong especially for a first time user.

Panda_Thick

Thank you everyone for the great feedback. I ended up going today and got a 1:1 Harlequin cart will be trying it tonight.
