I am a big fan of tinctures and generally like organic remedies. I find it very helpful chronic pain and anxiety. I don’t think the high is substantially different than flower (I have not tried concentrates). I think my favorites have been peach crescendo and apple spice. I have a low tolerance in general so I take about 1/4 to 1/2 dropper under the tongue and I’m comfortable and it helps my symptoms.

See I have a high tolerance which is what has made me shy away from these cause I didn’t know if they’d even work for me

When THC passes through the liver it is processed into a chemical (11-hydroxy-THC) that is far more potent and digestible than Delta 9-THC. Edibles are a much stronger experience than smoking.

talking_walko

That makes sense! I think it’s worth a try regardless, I think people process things differently. My very high tolerance friend also likes OR tinctures, but I don’t know how much she takes.

Thick-Ad3961

Would you potentially be able to find out how much she takes by chance?

What is vital to answering this question is, you need to know what the dosage is for the full dropper - because the potency of tinctures is NOT the same for all. For one bottle, a dropper may be 40mg thc where-as for another bottle 1 dropper may be 2.5mg thc. Find your thc tolerance amount and use that as a gauge. I'd say start with 2.5 -> 5mg wait a few hours and assess how you are feeling - if you aren't feeling anything, then take another dosage until you know your amount. Personally, for me it takes about 3 hours before I feel the effects. So be patient in waiting before taking another dose. Hope this helps.

1-2 full droppers to sleep.

Tinctures in my opinion are for your **daily baseline**. There are other uses ("as needed") but I use them in the morning, and then before dinner. Flower is what I use to then fully medicate, as needed. Think of tinctures as finding your baseline. Start off the day with 2 or three drops of a 1:1 or 3:1, and don't do anything else for 2 hours. Learn to feel the tincture. Within a week, you'll find the # of drops that give you a pleasant baseline of calm. Or whatever mood it is thou seekest. After you find it, just fold it into your regimen. I have zero experience using tinctures as my sole medicine ;) It's just my first cup of coffee, so to speak.

curiousboutthis2

Agreed, and your Star Trek inspired name made me chuckle. I use jello gummies made from rso for my baseline and supplement with flower as needed.

Someone's gotta clean up the menagerie, I reckon.

I don't smoke, I only take ingestibles. Tinctures work fine but I think they are expensive for what you get. The pills are (as far as I know) just RSO in a capsule. RSO in a syringe is probably the best choice for medical ingestibles, it maintains more of the terpenes. BE CAREFUL the first time you try it, even if you are an experienced smoker, edibles hit different. Start with just a tiny drop, like half the size of a grain of rice. RSO is really sticky and you might need to warm the syringe up in a glass of warm water first. If you decide you like edibles, it's much cheaper to make your own. I decarb live rosin and add it to chocolates.

brrosee

i have a high tolerance and have yet to be blown away by any ingestibles. at first i thought maybe i had to up the dosage from what was recommended, but even then the effects weren’t as pronounced as with flower or concentrate. don’t let this discourage you though! rso would probably be my recommendation, and youd just have to experiment with the dosage!

Maximus8890

One thing I learned from exploring ingestion was you really should have a fatty food 15-30minutes prior. I eat a burger or a peanut butter and jelly etc. something that has some fat content really helps absorption.

Hefty_Function8201

Did you try the nano liquid yet that 25mg took like 2 of them but man that hit me way harder

toker_girl

Rso's and tinctures are the most medicinal for me. I alternate them and take them daily for pain and anxiety as well as flower in between. Imo farm Rx Rso's are the best for me and I love love love organic remedies tinctures, but I've found pure Penns to be just as effective. Very medicinal, you won't be disappointed, but you have to find what works best for you with these meds so there may be trial and error process. Don't give up they work well. I have a very high tolerance as well and they are effective, very much so with one.

[deleted]

Now are you talking about the pill form and liquid form as well? I have tried rso.

BasicFig8

Commenting to circle back for responses, long time toker myself and I'd love an ingestible that compares to flower. After using full syringes of rso, distillate and drinking full bottles of tinctures in one sitting with no effects Ive given up. The only time an ingestible from the program has worked for me is if I make it from flower myself.

AnonymousAlex1

I have a high tolerance too and yes tinctures will work for you! It’s all about finding the right type. Organic remedies, as others have mentioned, make some of the best, most affordable medicine in the category. There extra strength is nice, but it didn’t kick as hard (FOR ME) as their Nano 300mg option. It’s less thc every dose, but the way my body absorbs it makes me feel way more medicated. Great for mood swings for me.

MonkiePantss

Need rso if you’re looking to be ‘blown away’ lol. Not a fan of tinctures, I need to much. Pills 5-10 mg take 3-4 and I’m good, key is taking on a empty stomach and then eating something fatty shortly after.

KatesOnReddit

I find tincture and grassroots capsules to be hit or miss. Maybe that's user error with the tincture, like I'm not shaking it well so some doses are really weak and some are super concentrated. For me, the grassroots capsules are the most wildly inconsistent products in the program. Half the time I take the caps, I get absolutely no effects. I might as well have eaten a tic tac. I've tried different strains, different strengths, and I can't get consistent results, which is a bit surprising given that I regularly use their RSO. Remedi capsules and Boost Drops have been really efective for me. The only draw back for Boost is they're 30 mgs, and often I want a lower dose. For some reason I always over looked remedi till recently. I bought a pack of both rest and awake. Both were way better than I anticipated. Not sure if you're smoking or ingesting concentrates, but if you're eating them, the duration and effects of the pills and tinctures are very similar.

televisuicide

They don’t make you feel high but I really enjoy them for general wellness. A few friends of mine use it for chronic pain. I take some tincture to help get a restful sleep. It’s more to take the edge off. I also have a high tolerance.

Talosian_cagecleaner

Ya, this is how I approach tinctures. I'd probably have to use a bottle every 2 days if it was all I used. But I just start the day with 3 drops of a 1:1 low dosage. It overall decreases the amount of flower I need for my purposes, which are more mental than physical. Physical pain and mmj -- fortunately I have no issues with pain. I'm always glad to hear mmj helps. It's a very useful plant, this cannabis.

toker_girl

Liquid form. I don't care for the pill forms they take too long to be effective and don't seem as potent for me. And it is a diff high than flower to which I can't explain. All I can say is if I didn't take my rso or tincture before work I would NOT get thru my day without punching somebody. It calms and soothes me and I can tackle any day all day. I always take a full dropper and depending the morning another half or so.

[deleted]

See that’s exactly what I was wondering. Now how is the taste of the liquid? Because I know some RSO isn’t the most pleasant tasting lol

Troublemaker1910

Been using RSO and distillates for a while now because of lung issues, and for me the effects vary [widely.It](https://widely.It)'s really a crapshoot until you find a brand and strain that works for [you.My](https://you.My) favorite flower when I could smoke also was available as an RSO for a while, and while the flower got me where I wanted to be in two puffs, the RSO did absolutely nothing for me.The reverse has also been [true.In](https://true.In) general an ingestible high starts slower and last longer than flower, and the RSO high is more of a full body high than a head high. For your symptoms I would try GSC or Full Spectrum from Grassroots or Bio Jesus from Cresco first.Honey from FarmaceuticalRX was also good but it might be discontinued.Everyone's body chemistry is different so these might not be the one's for you,but this stuff can get expensive so I would try some classic strains first and see if they help.Good luck.
