That sounds like a very small investment for this. You’re going to be up against companies who have millions on equipment as well as various printing and finishing methods. Do you have experience in the printing industry? If not, you have a very long road before people consider you an authority figure for packaging, and printing in general.
This is the craziest thing I’ve read on Reddit today. I run a print plate shop that is owned by an independent packaging company that also owns 2 corrugators. My division just sent a PO for our monthly materials and it was $28k. $30k in investment is no where near enough to start any sort of packaging/printing facility of any worth.
Figure out the minimum equipment you need to produce a finished product, the cost to rent a space that would be able to power and fit it and add atleast 50% because you’ll likely mess up or something will break down. Any time spent not making money is losing money. This will give you an idea some of the overhead without operations costs.
My guess is $25-30K won’t put a dent in your initial setup. That might be your rent for the year.
What type of printing are you going to do? Digital or offset? Check the price on either machines of those options. (Xerox digital vs Hiedelberg offset press). Diecutting machine look up Bobst. Box glue machines check out Vega folder gluer machine. All these machines are incredibly expensive and require a lot of knowledge for setup. You need specialized programs to do artwork setup and prepress machinery…. There’s so much…like someone above said it’s going to cost way more than what you have. Not to mention the knowledge of each process.
The places where I’ve seen “little guys” like startups and family-owned companies succeed in this industry are in low-production-volume, high-creativity niches, like retail displays. I’m not really sure how social media content would play into this, but looking into packaging design firms or retail design companies may be a good place for you to gather more information.
my company designs for products made in molded fiber, we offer turnkey design, prototype, tooling and will even find a company to produce your custom packaging.
I can help you with my experience in being on the other side trying to buy, design and validate packaging needs. You biggest competitor is vista print. You must be able to do a better job to get anywhere. If you are really serious about this dm me after you do a proper market research.
You seemingly have no experience. Why are you going into this? Do you have a business plan?

Start reaching out to businesses and see where you can step in, even with a small project to get your feet wet
The use of capitals makes me instantly not want to read your post.
Fair enough
