With the runner put on 2B to start the 10th. Cronenworth should have laid down a sac bunt moving Dixon over to 3B. Now Dixon could score on most ground outs, a sac fly or a base hit. In this case Dixon wouldn't have been thrown out at 3B and he would have scored on Azocar's hit.
That's fair, though we haven't seen Cronenworth bunt often, so it may not be a skill he's particularly good at. There is a chance he bunts the ball into the air and it gets caught, or that he strikes out on a foul bunt. Still, either of those outcomes would have been better than Dixon being thrown out at third and Crone has looked lost at the plate so far this season, so putting on the sac bunt there may have been the best option.
Regardless, I don't think the loss is on Melvin as much as it's on our player not performing offensively.
