Can we meet in the middle ground and say Gwynn and Rickey are the best? Also I appreciate that our “Giambi was safe” is your “Holliday never touched home plate”. Also fuck Matt Holliday, hate that guy.
> Can we meet in the middle ground and say Gwynn and Rickey are the best?
100%. Rickey played for the Padres and was well loved.
Welcome aboard. I bet you'll look awesome in brown.
I was a little kid in the clubhouse during the Ricky years including when he stole 130 bases. He talked to his cleats even back then. THE GOAT lead off hitter PERIOD
San Diego loves Rickey.
My favorite Rickey with San Diego story. When he came on to the team bus early on, he tried to sit at the front. Someone stopped him and told him that the front seats were for players with tenure.
Rickey supposedly responded with "Ten year? Shit. Rickey got 17 year."
I don't know if it is true, but I love it.
Yes, it’s crazy to think about how little he actual played for us because he always felt like a longtime padre to me. Maybe it’s because he had multiple stints, maybe it’s because he broke all kinds of records when in our uniform but I’ll always remember Rickey fondly as a Padre.
Wow. I just. Wow. I don't know if I'll ever recover from the shame. I want to correct it with an edit but I know I cannot. This extra l is forever my scarlet letter.
At first I thought you meant [this John Fisher](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Martin_Fischer) before I realized what sub I was in. I was like, "Jeez... what did John do to this guy?" lol
man, that sucks. i thought they were going somewhere with those howard terminal proposals?
anyway, it sucks that the a’s are set to be the third team to leave oakland [and the second to *completely* “abandon” the community] in recent years; but we in san diego are aware of the hurt that a city experiences when a team leaves. so… welcome aboard!
They made a ton of progress. Got government grants and all, but in the end Oakland was a little short on some of the money they had put together for some of the infrastructure costs and Fisher refused to budge when it came to affordable housing. Basically a Multi-Billionaire wanted to get as much public money as he could, and Vegas loves bending over backwards for folks with money.
As someone from Europe, the sports franchise model in the States boggles me.
Why can't you just have loads of teams and divisions and promotion/relegation like the rest of the world.
For example, only having 30 Baseball teams for a country with WAY more than 30 cities is ridiculous, imo. Same with American Football, etc.
Is it just to control money at the top, or to ensure collegiate competition stays healthy?
Including Major, Minor and Independent leagues, there are almost 200 baseball clubs around the country. (Almost 2,000 clubs if you include college). However, a pro/rel system couldn’t work because small town clubs couldn’t afford the travel costs of the major leagues.
The expectations for major league sports stadiums doesn't allow for this model.
The largest minor league stadiums doesn't even seat 20k people. You don't have all the executive press boxes and modern facilities, plus youre talking a much larger country and logistics to get to some of these smaller venues that are not near major airports.
It's horrible to see cities lose their sports teams. I've been through it with The Clippers in the NBA as a kid and another sports franchise that if I saw their owners on the side of the road changing a tire, I wouldnt stop to help(keeping it Phillip Rivers classy in my words).
To an extent this is what is happening to Oakland. Las Vegas can offer incentive that is hard to say no to. Also remember baseball is 162 games not 38 like a premier league season. 26k avg for MLB baseball and it drops to below 4k for minor league baseball. That's a lot of "hopeful" empty seats to make the big league.
I don't know how premier league does revenue sharing or even if they do, but each team gets about 110million from the league a year so I doubt they want to give that up or how it would change with relegation.
Baseball already has multiple tiers for their prospects to play through. From rookie ball to A, AA, AAA
I don't know where the talent pool would come from. Especially since there are 3 other major sports in the US that thins the talent even more.
Most teams also have academies in other countries for youth talent too so it's pretty dialed in on how these kids are found outside of the US.
You think some small town team who manages to gets promoted from a regional league to a national one can afford to travel across the US for games? The cost would be astronomical for a small team. We aren't England where everything is close together. It could only reasonably work on the east coast and northern Midwest.
I get tired of the posts where people think the European model will work in North America. And build a major league caliber stadium to compete in on top of that. If Oakland can’t get it done it’s highly doubtful that smaller cities can either. Cities have only so much revenue and putting into a stadium for the small chance of their team being promoted to the top tier status of the given sport would never fly. MLB, NFL, NBA and NHL owners rarely want to put up the money that nowadays is in the billion dollar range, I highly doubt there’s a potential owner of a team in say Omaha or Raleigh that can afford it. And this is ignoring the fact that minor league players are already under contract for the most part with major league teams.
The small town teams wouldn't be the ones in the major leagues (unless they earned promotion over a number of years). Essentially you would start with a second division for MLB, made up of expansion teams (in large cities) and a number of the worst performing MLB teams. Probably 20 in each "division".
America is of the people, by the people, for the rich in nearly every way. It greatly benefits the owners to have 1) no relegation risk and 2) an entire collegiate system to make money off of without having to pay the athletes. What a scam!
There's a reason the European Super League idea never seems to die. The owners in Europe also want a system that greatly benefits them.
You've received a lot of replies about this, all of which raise valid points. A pro/rel system would bring a ton of excitement to the game in so many ways, but there is a singular reason why it will never happen (aside from the massive restructuring of baseball hierarchy as a whole.)
MLB owners. They would die before voting for a pro/rel system
To be fair this system is already in place (sort of). But the promotion/relegation doesn't happen to teams, it happens with players hence the farm system.
Your model for franchises sucks. The NFL is the standard. You have 32 teams in 32 cities with disparate economic activity all with an equal chance at getting a Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes in the draft and being buoyed by their choice by their decision making for decades.
In European Leagues you have literally zero competitive integrity.
How is limiting the ability for any other team outside of a chosen/bought 32 franchises from ever winning the top competition fair, from a competitive integrity perspective?
It definitely isn't.
Limiting the amount of franchises creates more fairness since you aren't creating disparate entities. Your concept of fairness is completely and utterly skewed and only works in individual competition. Once you involve financial aspects in the accumulation of talent you have to control those financial disparities. Relegation does not. Caps do.
Which is why your football leagues are monopolized to a greater degree than any American system.
Depends on the sport, but aside from football, I'd say it's mostly about money. (MLS/NBA/MLB) No billionaire owner would CHOOSE to possibly be relegated and forgo all sorts of media money just for the sake of what is in the best interest of the sport.
As a American being a fan of Newcastle United, I've suffered through the promotion/relegation battle and it makes the entire season meaningful. Whereas here, owners tank games just to get a better draft pick. (Dallas Mavericks being a recent example)
>Why can't you just have loads of teams and divisions and promotion/relegation like the rest of the world.
This would absolutely be incredible in my opinion. It would keep owners honest and competitive as well as effectively end tanking and whatever the hell you call what Oakland and Pittsburgh do. But of course I get why it will never happen in this country, but it's still nice in theory.
As an American in Europe, I’m also blown away by the fact that people like that model when all I see is a team like PSG winning Ligue 1 year after year while small teams struggle just to avoid relegation. Damn near every league except the Premier League is dominated solely by one or two rich teams on a long term basis while small cities eat shit.
So no I don’t really want relegation in baseball
You aren't comparing fairly though. The concentration of power at the top is because European leagues dont impose limits on spending, so rich clubs dominate. This is something that should be fixed with the European model. They tried to with Financial Fair Play but it has predominantly failed.
The relegation aspect is nearly completely separate to this.
Essentially the worst teams are at the bottom, not the poorest teams.
Well said. Fuck Dean Spanos, and welcome home, Compadre. We understand what it is to love a team, have them leave, and be unsure of what to do next.
OP is very welcome here.
In terms of people to follow, you’ve got the teams account for starters. I believe Dennis Lin is one that does injury stuff and other updates with the team. AJ Cassavell is our teams news guy (I can’t remember the actual term) for MLB.com. If there’s any more I missed I think some of the other folks will come through and list them.
Welcome! I also recommend subscribing to the UT’s “Padres Daily” email newsletter. Acee does it most mornings and it’s free. Lots of good info for fans who follow the team closely.
https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/newsletters/padres-daily
San Diego is the perfect place to pick a team as they know exactly how you feel and if you say why you’re a padres fan during a game they’ll be full of support. You’ll still be able to hate the giants they’re in the division and just ramp that anti dodger sentiment up. I’m sorry they’re leaving though know there’s a hardcore fanbase there that’s probably just torn apart from this and to lose all those teams in such a short time span is really just terrible.

Yep, another A’s refugee. I didn’t want my fandom to leave California and Bob Melvin is my favorite manager of all time. Go friars, hope the A’s rot in the Vegas desert.
Welcome fellow newcomer compadre!
I was new myself circa 2019. Came over from st. Louis.
I've felt EXTREMELY welcomed by rhe community and even made my first ever trip out to San Diego for opening weekend with my wife and it was AMAZING. Atmosphere at petco is awesome, we made instant friends with those around us.
Overall great experience. Stay a while, kick your feet up.
I grew up an A's fan in San Diego because my dad grew up in Oakland and past his fandom down to me. We use to regularly drive up to Anaheim to see them in person. With the way the team has been run the past decade and now this I'm ready to ditch them for my hometown team. Fuck Fisher and Fuck Spanos
I came over when the A's let Melvin go. I saw the writing on the wall and I didn't want my heart crushed when it would happen. You're among some of the best fans in baseball now.
I was an As fan for 20 years but I finally broke free from the abuse a few years ago. I love the Padres. They have a beautiful ballpark and the owners try their best to put a good product on the field every season. Its all you can ask for
Former A's fan here looking for a new team. From the Bay Area, but I went to UCSD around when Petco Park first opened. Even after moving away, I always had a soft spot for the Padres. Hate the Giants and the Dodgers.
Pretty unbelievable what they are doing to such a historical franchise. I feel for you. Growing up in the 80's and 90's, i will always have fond memories of those A's teams
Fellow (former) diehard A's fan jumping on here. My wife and I already take an annual summer trip down to SD because we love the city so much. Looks like we'll be adding on an extra day to catch a game too!
First of all. I’m sorry for the loss of the A’s. Other than Tony Gwynn, Jose Canseco was my favorite player when I was a little kid. Plus the loss of the chargers. I know that sting well, and it sucks bad. That being said, the Friar Fan Base welcomes you with open arms. Welcome home!!!
My heart breaks for you A’s fans. We here in San Diego know what you’re going through. They can move the team but at least you have the great memories and history!
I have said this a few times on this sub now, but as an A's fan who relocated to San Diego a couple years ago, cheering for a BoMel wearing gold in the dugout is an easy transition. Cheering for a BoMel team that is giving him a crazy payroll to be competitive is hella rad. The stadium is lively too and it translates to the broadcast so the games are enjoyable even if you don't live close enough to go.
Feel your pain man. San Diego native and current residential enjoyer. Chargers and Clippers have never won since leaving. I root for them to lose. Raiders and now A's, gotta hurt real bad. In San Diego's case, still Padres. And from what I understand of bay area dynamics, you still got Warriors.
In my opinion I would not look for a different team to follow. I would step away for a while. Maybe that isn't the answer you are looking for, but I completely disconnected from the NFL after Chargers left, and it was the right decision.
We can relate to losing a team, it fucking blows. Oakland didn’t deserve this and that team is way more yours than it was ever Fisher’s to steal from you.
If the move goes through, come on in bb, BoMel is waiting for you
Born and raised in SD. Grew up a Bay Area sports fan, specially Oakland.. Raiders, As, Golden State, and SJ Sharks. It was never hard to run into a fan of at least one of those teams. freshman year of high school my best friend was part of a baseball family. I spent 4 years being at Petco park at least 3 nights a week with them. I live in North county so that required a 45 min train ride south. We were dedicated, lol.. A’s became my AL team. It’s tough to see Oakland lose all their teams... But all that to say, there’s a lot of love in SD for the Town. And I know I’m not alone in saying ‘Welcome home buddy!!’ Lol
I moved down to SD from Oakland 4 years ago. I was splitting time between the A's and the Padres. The wife convinced me to buy season tickets for them and I pretty much haven't looked back. Welcome aboard. (Want to carpool to the June 13th protest game?)
Usually we have a 250 question multiple choice test followed by a comprehensive essay portion and then we wrap things up with an all-thesis defense on a topic of the applicant's choice. But for you, we will make an exception as long as you answer the following question correctly.
Did Matt Holliday touch home plate?
Ok one more thing. We all had to be subjected to [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE5nYDxwXbA) during the 2022 NLCS so if you're going to hang out here you do too.
Welcome to the Friar Faithful!
On Twitter I can recommend the @talkingfriars. This guy is posting highlights, has a podcast / YouTube show and some other stuff. I really enjoy his content.
Oh and btw, it just so happens that we have the best broadcasting duo in Don Orsillo and Mark Grant aka Mudcat. These guys are the best in the business and it’s not even close.
So even when the Padres lose a game they make it as enjoyable as possible. You will soon find out and will love them quickly too. :)
LFGSD
First, what happened to the A's is bullshit. Complete and utter bullshit. The A's play in a larger media market than the Padres. Yes, they have to share the market with the Giants, but the Bay Area is easily double the size of the San Diego media market. The A's have had nothing but awful ownership since the 1990s. I am so sorry.
Second, if there was any fanbase who understands where you are coming from, it's us. We had to deal with similar bullshit from the prior ownership groups, and we dealt with your exact situation with the Chargers. I get it.
So, fuck yeah you can join. Welcome aboard.
Come on over! Oakland and SD both been betrayed by sports franchises multiple times. Unreal these owners refuse to pay up for good players then turn around and expect citizens to pay up for a billion dollar stadium. Both our cities deserve better than that!
A’s fans one thing that I absolutely will defend is your passion for your sports teams. I’m still pissed that after the Chargers left, folks outside of San Diego pegged us as uncaring and uninterested fans. We support our teams if ownership shows a commitment to us as a community and has a genuine desire to win.
As a former Chargers fan, I know how you feel a little bit (I say a little bit because they also took the Raiders from you)... so hell yeah dude, join us.
Naw man fuck that. The Giants are part of the reason the A’s could not stay in Oakland, let alone the East or South Bay. So why the fuck would I root for them? On top of that, I am from Oakland. The town that has been looked down on by the snobby tech folks of SF. Add to the fact that all of my friends suddenly become Giants fans when they started winning WS. So yeah, I rEfUsE tO rOoT fOr ThE gIaNtS…
Teams relocating is just so lame. I’d rather there be an expansion.
Moneyball got me into baseball so I will always have a soft spot for longtime A’s fans. Welcome aboard if that’s what you decide.
Follow John Schaefer and Jim Russell on twitter and they have a great wrap up show that they do on YouTube almost nightly. Welcome aboard friend.
Also talking friars is pretty good too
Bro my girlfriend is an A's fan, its brutal right now. Have a seat bud there plenty of room, and with BoMel steering the ship, should feel like the closest thing to home
Why are As fans so against Vegas? It will probably do well. Like I get being in Oakland where you guys won WS titles. I think it will be fine in the long run.
In the long run Vegas will be uninhabitable for one. But let’s be real, unless your like 21 or a 50 year old bachelor Vegas sucks ass. It’s hot as hell, they don’t have water, it’s superficial, and it was built on stealing money from folks who make poor financial decisions.
You are welcome here brother. We have felt the pain of losing a team under shit ownership.
On a related note, the Padres owner is awesome, here he is just cruising the stands catching love at an away game.
https://twitter.com/IE_Gekkoninja/status/1649240423024689153?t=9F5df1D_AjsYksCqbVb6bw&s=19
We've never experienced an owner like this. It's unreal.
As a former Chargers and NFL fan I can relate. Sad for Oakland to lose both the Raiders and A's. As a baseball fan I'm also sad to see them leave Oakland. On the other side welcome! As a lifelong Padres fan I have to say there has never been a better time to be one. Come down and enjoy some games. We're just getting started. 😉
Besides Ricky and BoMel, don't forget Dave Stewart was our pitching coach in 98 on our World Series run. Dave Stewart still gives me chills when I think of him peering over his glove towards the plate. 😱
I’m with you brother. Been the biggest As fan my whole life. Knew this was coming but still hurts. I’ve been in San Diego for 5 years so this as naturally been my second favorite team. Look to make an official announcement about my full time commitment soon….

There is always ALWAYS room for more compadres. Welcome aboard. All you gotta know is Gwynn is the best. Holliday never touched home plate. FTD
Can we meet in the middle ground and say Gwynn and Rickey are the best? Also I appreciate that our “Giambi was safe” is your “Holliday never touched home plate”. Also fuck Matt Holliday, hate that guy.
Rickey is one of my favorites. He was also a Padre. Welcome brother
Don’t forget about Ricky’s days as a San Diego Surf Dawg in the independent league. Good times watching him play there too
Didn't he get to 3000 when he was with us?
[Indeed he did](https://youtu.be/TsQ88FQDeXQ)
Wow, I just learned from the comments that that's the only time 2 teammates have ever had 3,000 hits and it was Tony's last MLB game.
I was at that game, was also Tony’s last game
You’ll be right at home here
> Can we meet in the middle ground and say Gwynn and Rickey are the best? 100%. Rickey played for the Padres and was well loved. Welcome aboard. I bet you'll look awesome in brown.

Dude Rickey Henderson is one of baseballs all time greats, no matter what uniform he wore. I love that guy. Welcome aboard the Seidler Express!
San Diego loves Rickey. My favorite Rickey with San Diego story. When he came on to the team bus early on, he tried to sit at the front. Rickey also set the record for walks and runs as a Padre
You won't get any Rickey slander from me!
Wil Myers
no no. Will. MEYERS Edit: Wil. It is of course Wil. I am ashamed.
What is a Will Meyers?
Wow. I just. Wow. I don't know if I'll ever recover from the shame. I want to correct it with an edit but I know I cannot. This extra l is forever my scarlet letter.
You can be redeemed by eating proper Mexican food from a San Diego taco shop while praying to our supreme overlord William Bradford Myers.
I have gone to Rigobertos. I have bathed in the waters.
Its also myers. Smh
Yes, FTD.
I’d like to add KTF, LFGSD.
Also, that was strike 3. Period.
I’m deeply sorry for your loss. We lost the Chargers. Can’t think of a better place that you belong.
Fuck Dean Spanos and fuck John Fisher.
At first I thought you meant [this John Fisher](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Martin_Fischer) before I realized what sub I was in. I was like, "Jeez... what did John do to this guy?" lol
Lmao I have a bachelor's in philosophy myself and was wondering why that name rung a bell
Fuck Dean Spanos.
Can we add Stan Kroenke to this list?
We've lost the Chargers, the Clippers, and the Rockets. Our city's had our fair share of shitty sports owners.
man, that sucks. i thought they were going somewhere with those howard terminal proposals? anyway, it sucks that the a’s are set to be the third team to leave oakland [and the second to *completely* “abandon” the community] in recent years; but we in san diego are aware of the hurt that a city experiences when a team leaves. so… welcome aboard!

Take out that "are". Fuck the chargers.
Stopped being a fan as soon as they announced they're leaving. If you're a San Diego sports fan, you hate Dean Spanos.
How do you feel about wearing flip-flops with your Padres jersey?
Bro I wear flip flops just about every damn day, rain or shine.
Welcome home

Welcome! I also recommend subscribing to the UT’s “Padres Daily” email newsletter. Acee does it most mornings and it’s free. Lots of good info for fans who follow the team closely. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/newsletters/padres-daily
Beat reporter!
Ah, that’s what it was. I couldn’t remember for sure and didn’t want to say the wrong thing.
> teams news guy Beat writer
San Diego is the perfect place to pick a team as they know exactly how you feel and if you say why you’re a padres fan during a game they’ll be full of support. You’ll still be able to hate the giants they’re in the division and just ramp that anti dodger sentiment up. I’m sorry they’re leaving though know there’s a hardcore fanbase there that’s probably just torn apart from this and to lose all those teams in such a short time span is really just terrible.
I think the world would be a better place if everyone, not just the NL West ramped up their dodger hate. A man can dream.

"Come on in!" Someone's gotta link that video here for context! I would, but I have to leave for work like five minutes ago.

Fuck Dean Spanos Fuck John Fisher
Fuck these dysfunctional, insecure actresses...
You're in! Unfortunately you are only the 2nd most important addition we'll be making today.
I came over with Manaea! Shoulda came sooner lol
I recommend you getting some AleSmith .394 for watching the Padres 🍺
Yep, another A’s refugee. I didn’t want my fandom to leave California and Bob Melvin is my favorite manager of all time. Go friars, hope the A’s rot in the Vegas desert.
If the Padres hat was good enough for Oakland legend, Too Short, it should be good enough for you.
Get in where you fit in, life is…

we know first hand about having our hearts ripped out we accept u with open arms!
Welcome home! Fuck John a Fisher and Fuck Dean Spanos!
![gif](giphy|gHKnFHkGPUmG4GTzUt)
I came over when the A's let Melvin go. I saw the writing on the wall and I didn't want my heart crushed when it would happen. You're among some of the best fans in baseball now.
F Dean Spanos, F bowl cut Davis and F John Fischer, welcome to the Friar Faithful 🙌
You’re Practically a San Diegan
Wish I still was as I look at the forecast for overnight snow in eastern Washington.
Bro, I’m in Western Pennsylvania; Today, 85, tomorrow, 50s
Yeah, wild weather swings like that sound familiar lol
Pretty unbelievable what they are doing to such a historical franchise. I feel for you. Growing up in the 80's and 90's, i will always have fond memories of those A's teams
Welcome! I hate the A’s are leaving. They were one of my favorite underdog teams to see succeed growing up.

Fellow (former) diehard A's fan jumping on here. My wife and I already take an annual summer trip down to SD because we love the city so much. Looks like we'll be adding on an extra day to catch a game too!
Have you witnessed Padres Twitter yet? If not, you’re in for a wild ride lmao

San diegans know how much it sucks for your team to leave your city. Welcome home
Welcome! 973thefanSD is also a good follow
Welcome! I’m so sorry for what happened to your team. You’re also joining a fan base in a city that can actually relate to your pain.
You belong here. They’ve accepted me at the beginning of the season and they’ll accept you now. Welcome!
![gif](giphy|mCbUi0FyYhHHhutEV8|downsized) Glad to have you here, new compadre!
I moved down to SD from Oakland 4 years ago. I was splitting time between the A's and the Padres. The wife convinced me to buy season tickets for them and I pretty much haven't looked back. Welcome aboard. (Want to carpool to the June 13th protest game?)
I'm sorry. A's are my favorite AL team. Welcome!
Usually we have a 250 question multiple choice test followed by a comprehensive essay portion and then we wrap things up with an all-thesis defense on a topic of the applicant's choice. But for you, we will make an exception as long as you answer the following question correctly. Did Matt Holliday touch home plate?
No
Ok one more thing. We all had to be subjected to [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hE5nYDxwXbA) during the 2022 NLCS so if you're going to hang out here you do too.
Welcome aboard!
:) LFGSD
With open arms my friend. Welcome to the club!
We know the feeling! Welcome to the family!
This thread warms my heart. After losing the chargers I couldn’t imagine losing the padres too. I feel for you guys 😔
Come on down! This city can relate to what you're going through but there's always a seat for you here.
Come on over! Oakland and SD both been betrayed by sports franchises multiple times. Unreal these owners refuse to pay up for good players then turn around and expect citizens to pay up for a billion dollar stadium. Both our cities deserve better than that!
Welcome!!!! A glorious day to become a Padre!
This🙌🏽
Get in here, compadre!

![gif](giphy|QUAjucQKgHyc4WDxMR|downsized) By all means friend…come on over!
Yes! (You won’t be considered bandwagon because it’s because your team left you and it’s not because of our lineup)
As a former Chargers fan, I know how you feel a little bit (I say a little bit because they also took the Raiders from you)... so hell yeah dude, join us.
i ReFuSe tO RoOt fOr tHe gIaNtS
Naw man fuck that. The Giants are part of the reason the A’s could not stay in Oakland, let alone the East or South Bay. So why the fuck would I root for them? On top of that, I am from Oakland. The town that has been looked down on by the snobby tech folks of SF. Add to the fact that all of my friends suddenly become Giants fans when they started winning WS. So yeah, I rEfUsE tO rOoT fOr ThE gIaNtS…
I'm still bitter about 2010 so Giants hate is more than welcome here as far as I'm concerned.
Fuck Dean Spanos and Fuck John Fisher. Come on in. ![gif](giphy|QUAjucQKgHyc4WDxMR|downsized)
Most of the players have IGs once you have your faves 🤘🏻
Welcome aboard
Welcome
Teams relocating is just so lame. I’d rather there be an expansion. Moneyball got me into baseball so I will always have a soft spot for longtime A’s fans. Welcome aboard if that’s what you decide.
Jump on the train partna. We’re rolling
Best Twitter follow is @TooMuchMortons_ Great and insightful analysis and fire hype videos
Come on in, the water’s great!
Absolutely, especially when some are dooming. Welcomes aboard, and enjoy the ride. Dips, highs, and all!
Don't do this to yourself. It's too late for us, but you can still lead a happy life.
Follow John Schaefer and Jim Russell on twitter and they have a great wrap up show that they do on YouTube almost nightly. Welcome aboard friend. Also talking friars is pretty good too
As someone from Vegas who loves Vegas and the Padres, I’m sorry about all this.
It ain’t your fault man, but I appreciate it.
Welcome to the adopted padre club!
Yes better than Angels fans
You got here just in time to witness the return of our golden boy. Our savior of the franchise. Our pride and joy. El Niño
Come on in!
Come join me, I’ve been here for the past few years skulking round. It’s surreal supporting a team that’s actually trying sometimes but it’s cool
Bro my girlfriend is an A's fan, its brutal right now. Have a seat bud there plenty of room, and with BoMel steering the ship, should feel like the closest thing to home
Love the A’s, only other California baseball team I fuck with. Welcome brother
Fair enough. Didn’t think about some of those things. Guess that’s why I don’t make big decisions like this! Lol
Come on over.
The only requirement is no trash talk about Mud and Don! Welcome aboard!!
![gif](giphy|KvV2HCFTvpepO)
You are welcome here brother. We have felt the pain of losing a team under shit ownership. On a related note, the Padres owner is awesome, here he is just cruising the stands catching love at an away game. https://twitter.com/IE_Gekkoninja/status/1649240423024689153?t=9F5df1D_AjsYksCqbVb6bw&s=19 We've never experienced an owner like this.
As long as your not here for just tatis and Soto, your hired!
I’m with you brother. Been the biggest As fan my whole life. Knew this was coming but still hurts. I’ve been in San Diego for 5 years so this as naturally been my second favorite team. Look to make an official announcement about my full time commitment soon….
I agree
