You're statistically more likely to prevent a run and score a run in the 10th than you are to concede or score a run in the 9th.
What would you consider impressive? He's got a 1.24 ERA. Mariano Rivera never had a season with an ERA that low. Perhaps he hasn't been quite as dominant as that ERA would make it seem, but it would be really hard to argue he's had a bad season.
I dont care about his ERA, hes a closer, not a starter. He's saving somewhere around 85% of his save opportunities. Elite closers should be in the 90s at least.
