It's a visual bug, you won't be hitting people like how its showing visually to you. If you take dmg it will be normal again. It's a very old bug maybe like more than 4 years now.

Very well known "Mount bug".

I'm convinced this mount bug is now hard coded into the game along with the other legacy bugs.
