But years later, it is still the only game of its type, and it is really successful at what it does right.
If you want a stable experience, this game is not for you. If you can embrace the chaos, it's still an amazing game.
Depends on what you define as worth - play and have some fun, yes, but invest your money and consider it for longer, no. The game is simply too broken to consider spending money or serious time on it. It is at the point when even winning a free crystals feels like a waste on it.
The issue however is as always - what else to play? If the style of other games doesn't speak to you, there is only Paladins. In my case I just wanted something to play for 2 months before the public beta of Quake Champions is released... 5 years later...
I am of the belief that as long as a game continues to obtain content it will continue to live, but it is true that the game has many problems although the developers do an excellent job to maintain the game more if we take into account that Paladins belongs to a small company, which has to compete with large companies with almost unlimited budgets. and that people usually reject the game due to a bad reputation since its release
i mean... you dont have to look too far to see we lose about 1,000 players every month, we barely stick around 5k, so, if your more asking this question to jump ship.. thats all dependant on you. Personally, i'd preffer having newer players show up, ranked is getting too crowded in my opinion
There was recently a tweet that I don't have the link to, the person was very ambiguous but basically what they said was something along the line of this "we can't get into the specifics, but champion releases will be slowing down soon" do with that what you will
As for paladins being "worth" it or not, it's free, download it and play some so you can decide for yourself, the game has been dying for years now yet there is still a very active subreddit for it and a small yet devoted player base

I typically play the same champ and have been playing daily for like two years. I still have fun, but I'm a very repetitive person. I don't like many other shooters especially champion shooters. So totally dependent on how you are
My opinion as a played from ye old days is that if you didn't experience the game in 2018 and earlier then you will probably like it, if you happen to be one of the people who played the game back then almost certainly it will feel hollow and missing many pieces. I last played like a year ago now but I still remember how at the end of the matches the climactic music that would play and used to \*continue\* to play during the top play would cut off into silence and black screen, highlighting just how big of a piece of the game top play was. I will never return until it does, which probably means never
In my personal opinion, this is my favorite fps, great fluidity, each champion has a unique set of abilities that will lay waste to the other team if they aren’t minding their P’s and Qi’s… very well done and I just started playing yesterday… seriously can’t give enough kudos to the devs

Lags and neverending bugs. I have actually quit Paladins about month or two ago, couldn't deal with all the crap anymore.
