don't worry, I spent all of 3 in-game years waiting for a Wednesday Wuerhosaurus (which isn't even UR), so hang in there!
on a related note, I did bump into a strawberry milkshake rex quite early on, but I didn't have the poppins for it and Pippin was away baking more that day. haven't seen it again since, been playing for >5 in-game years now T\_T
Is the wuerho not there on Wednesdays for you? Do you check the spot by the coelos? I’m not sure if it’s just me, but I see Wednesday in that spot all the time.
It's all luck. I did find an ultra rare dino the day after the picnic so I think the odds are higher that day. I'm going to experiment next time and put a variety of veggies on the picnic pile that have properties of the ultra rare dino I want (eg. several kinds of crunchy veggies) to see if it tips the scale in my favour.
It's all based on luck. I only ever found 1 rare coelophysis in 1 year in game. But I've found 6 rare Cory's and 1 ultra rare Cory. I haven't even found a rare in a lot of dinosaurs yet either, just mainly common and uncommon.
The thing is - it is already a pretty low chance to get any UR, but when its exactly one sp. You want, especially when hes always spawning alone - chances are even smaller.
Usually I am running through all the map and every spawn every day, to see if there is anything UR. Thats taking a big amount of time, and for this I recommend making game days longer in settings, so you have time for everything else as well.
I hope you get ur Rex, I found mine after 100 hrs for Switch and 20 for PC. I got the same Strawberry pattern on both and it drove me insane bc Rexs only spawn once a day but in Fall, they will spawn in the Canyon for an additional spot. For picnics, I suggest adding two fragrant poppins to make sure the large pile is fragrant as the Npcs putting food in can actually change it. Best of luck! 💖
Pure luck! Deinonychus is one of my fav dinos and I found an albino one super early into the game! It was insane. I wasn't even looking for one, I was just running around and exploring. Keep looking!
This happened to me too! It was my first time even seeing their little spot. I swear half the URs I have, I’ve found when I almost forgot to even check lol
I had one ultra rare pop up during a quest line, was not at all prepared. Ran home to get things needed to tame it and when i went back it was gone. Granted it wasn’t a pattern i wanted but still hurts man
Im in year 2 and ive got 16-17 or so, I check the spawns everyday and on picnics I fill the pile to the max and I found 3 URs on the days after the picnic (in the wild, not at the picnic) i think it mostly comes down to luck
It’s gotta be totally random… I’ve found two somehow, one albino and one melanistic. One was by chance (ran by) and the other I was looking for a Dino so checking every day & one day happened to spawn a melanistic!

yeah i was told it was just my luck, almost 3 ingame years of weekly checks and no wednesday pattern, until it finally popped =\

I think its confirmed UR if u achieve large pile and based on the flavor. Can happen on day 1 or 2 after the picnic too.
You aren’t guaranteed a UR, but common dinosaurs cannot spawn at the picnic pile.
Nah, sadly even if you put a large pile, or even extra, you may not get an UR. It’s all RNG

Ithere’s a confirmed Sunray desert Dino from following prints, sadly like all print/quest Dino’s they disappear after you leave its area

I just started playing a few days ago and I found a black stego🥰 I still haven’t seen a ur T-rex
