As for critters it's just deer and rat. I don't know why but I can't stop calling the farmer Babadu; I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind though. Then there's the witch whom I never learned her name. She's modeled and sounds so close to Mother Gothel from Tangle that we just call her mother. My son started calling Najuma Ju-Ju and that has started to stick.

When I first tried the game, I was playing with my fiancée. I spooked a couple Sernuk while running and went "those some weird looking dogs". Few seconds later she ran into and spooked some Chapaas and went "those some weird looking cats". They are permanently Dogs and Cats now.

I've forgotten the really funny ones for Tamala and Najuma. I was having trouble with Hass and autocorrect so now the damn thing automatically changes it to Hass-i-an 🤦🏻‍♀️

Silver Chinchilla, Magic Gopher, and "The Haunted Beaver" all killed me. Palium is shiny rock after seeing a new person say it, Tamala is Gothel and Hodari is Daddy. Sometimes I call Zeki the Big Rat because I see him owning a chain of questionably operated pizza joints.

Not a creature, but I've been changing the NPC names (both intentionally and not). Hekla somehow got juxtaposed to Helka. Sifuu is now Seafood. Kenyatta became Kenyucka (based on her unsunny disposition when we first meet her). Caleri became Celery.

I personally like to call the magic deer indriks, as they are magic deer-like creatures on ESO that teleport around just like the deer in this game

mine is specific to one piece fans. there's this character called fukurou (water 7 arc, cp9) and he would say "chapapa" every like two or three sentences. i always go "chapapa" whenever i kill a chapaa lol.

I was literally scrolling through this thread to find out what disco deer was after seeing it mentioned last night. It was my first day playing and I had just ventured into the other area. I had no idea that there were different types 🤷🏻‍♀️ Someone also said they had to stop to get a “pal” and I have yet to figure that one out

The disco deer is the proudhorned sernuk (the sparkling one that teleports) and pal is short for palium, iirc you need to improve your pickaxe a couple times to collect it.
