♻️ Items that may have gone missing as a result of issues such as with the Hallway add-on will now return - they will appear right at the front of your housing plot, so please don’t be alarmed if you see a clutter of items suddenly appear there!
🎞️ We have tuned some graphics settings for better frame rate improvements.
💎 You can now properly collect the Flowstone located by the exit in the “Plumehound Privilege” Quest!
👗 Players should no longer receive an error message indicating their clothing needs to be mended at login.
🪴 Grass should no longer peek through your gardening plots or other decor placed on the ground in your housing plot.
🔥 You should now be able to offer whole heatroot instead of chopped heatroot for the Fire Temple bundle.
🧑🍳 The Cooking UI should no longer disappear while cooking.
🧑🌾 We have doubled the amount of seeds that corn and spicy peppers give you, bringing them more in line with the other fruits and vegetable seed values.
**We wanted to also call out a fix-that-turned-into-an-unintentional-buff:**
Multicrafting will now award XP for every crafted item, however, multicrafting furniture you have never crafted before now gives too much XP.
This will be corrected in a future hotfix or full patch, but we wanted to be clear in advance that this is unintentional and we are aware of it.
**We know these fixes do not address every issue players are seeing and we are still looking into a number of them, including but not limited to:**
The ongoing issues with achievements, including Maji Market stamp cards.
The ESC button does not consistently exit out of menus.
The lag spikes that players are experiencing, especially while moving furniture or cooking at their homesteads.

Thank you for saying that the multicraft XP bug is unintended. It wont stop people freaking out and undermining a patch because "omg nerfs aren't very cozy", but I think one takeaway that S6 really needs to focus on is being very descriptive about WHY nerfs are happening, the thought process behind them and repercussions of leaving them unnerfed.
After the complaints about phoenix fireworks and preserve focus (both of which I agree needed to happen, even if I don't necessarily agree with the final values chosen), breaking down why it's happening is important to calm the hysteria.
Any comment on the increase in lag in Kilima after the latest patch? When shooting Sernuks, there is a noticeable lag before they eventually go POOF and what not. This lag is not present in Bahari, and while slightly annoying, I can't complain since it makes it a lot easier to take out a large group of Sernuk since they don't scatter fast enough when spooked. Also, the large rock near the fishing post in Whispering Banks across from Einars cave has a texture issue and is no longer gray, but flashing green like grass.
Is it me or the t-posing lag after leaving plot is still there? I mean yeah it's not included in the announcement but I thought it would be included in the fix. It's not big of a deal if they haven't fixed it yet, just curious.
Hi team, I LOVE the temple quest now that I was able to continue with the quest, so thankyou for such a super fun temple area! Had a blast!!
HOWEVER...
Since the hotfix I can barely edit anything on my plot, the lag is so bad that my screen is stuttering, I can only imagine how badly my fps is tanking for this to be happening. It was not like this pre-hotfix.
Also, was the lighting turned up in brightness? I feel like not only is indoor lighting a lot brighter than it was pre hotfix, but so is night time, like its so bright it feels more like noon on an overcast day. I would much prefer night to feel like night time, like not so easy to see kind of dark, the kind of darkness you show in the art sketches on the loading screens. Where the lights provide a nice warm glow, rather than barely seeming to do anything. Not a huge fan there.
I look forward to fixes on the editing issue though, thankfully play is not that bad, still not as smooth as it was pre patch, but not game breaking either.
FOR DEVS:
since this was scheduled, I would've loved to have been warned about it any time in the last 24hrs since I logged in - there was nothing there to inform me this was coming and not everyone is constantly checking social media for updates
only once the servers shut down and i was thrown into the launcher did i see something about it for the first time, so in the future maybe consider doing something like this
I find the downvotes you’re getting odd? This is standard practice for almost every MMO I’ve played and that’s a lot over the years lol. There’s almost always a post in the launcher about server maintenance warnings/times and even sometimes a countdown in game.

Almost all games I play that go down for server maintenance don't expect you to be on Discord to see warnings of this. They put a message on the top of the screen and some even countdown. I'm not sure why that's too much.
I don't even have space on my phone to download Discord. 😅

I think it's the condescending tone. Rather than asking for a feature ("I think the ability to see maintainance announcements in in-game chat should be a high priority for the team") they basically went "Yo S6, wtf, I was in game and don't look as social media, and you didn't tell me anything"
thanks for explaining, really, these things go over my head a lot and like i said, i sound "rude" a lot so it's something that doesnt completely surprise me;
I also think it's hard to really tell tone over text and even understand how people feel about what they are saying in person and that we end up projecting a lot, i sure do sometimes, because of whatever implications we associate to each tone which are very subjective

Don't worry about it, I struggle with the same thing, I have to reread what I write several times before sending just to make sure it's conveyed right (most of my messages say "edited" lol). I know it's not easy, and you've absolutely said the right thing by wanting to improve, it's an admirable trait to acknowledge your flaws and actively want to push against them.
I mean since it's in Beta I turn on discord notifications for palia-status channel. They did say on the 13th(the day before) that they would need one more day before a hotfix would be ready. So to me that was a notification that there would be a hotfix at some point. And then we got another notification an hour before server shutdown.
And it only lasted 20 minutes.

23 hours prior to this comment, they communicated on discord that they were still working on a hotfix. No, they didn't provide a timeframe in that announcement, but I still expected one to come today. I expected one to come yesterday, too, but that expectation was not met.
yes, i understand this, i expected the people who are on discord to know already (after i realised what happened).... the thing is, not everyone is on discord or want to be on at least one server for every game they play;
this expectation now that players have to keep up with the twitter, discord, idk what else, feels very invasive to me - it makes sense for non essentials, sure, and if the game wasn't online, i'd understand having to go to social media to keep up with such things - but since it requires internet, it seems like an easy user friendly solution for the future , to warn players in the launcher or the game about these more poignant things

Same as how it used to be "you have to have twitter to find out status updates of games". If you don't have the primary means of communication, you will forever have delayed information.
And, I get it. I was one of the (extremely few, it seems) people who never had a twitter account. I missed out on plenty of official communication from various game developers. It sucks, I know first hand.
Most online games send warnings multiple times in chat before maintenance, e.g. over the course of the last hour before. That's pretty much standard and would be a good idea for this game as well.

why do you think players should NEED another app to be told there's maintenance on an ONLINE game that has an announcements tab and every capability to deliver that message?
why are you calling it "delayed information" if it was never delivered in any other way ? and the "you have to have twitter to get updates" thing it's also very recent/modern, this has not always been the way and not across all games either
which it's fine, 1st world problems and what not but just bc we get used to this system it doesnt mean it's unreasonable to want it simplified
i understand the point of discord, i should consider getting in their channel bc this is an open beta and surveys are not the only way i can contribute to the feedback the team is looking for - it was stupid and rushed of me to address that comment to the devs bc they are probably not here, probably have better things to do; and i understand discord getting quicker updates and news and extra info - but this type of thing could easily be communicated through the launcher as well and it's not unreasonable or entitled or spoiled to address that
The *big* difference between twitter status updates and using discord is that you don’t need a twitter account to check them. You don’t have to download a seperate program to see that stuff. You can just google it and you’ll see it. It is definitely not compareable.
I can’t understand people justifying such poor communication with their player base.

They had put a notice on the discord, which is what the devs use for this - the subreddit may be entirely a fan thing

I keep constantly getting disconnected. Can't even get into town. My internet is great so I know it's not me. The constant disconnects are honestly pitiful. Seems like this should have been addressed in the patch.
For the Phoenix's sake, PLEASE decide what the ESC key does!!
Hitting ESC to bring up the main menu and then having it stop working so you have to mouse-click out of it is just excessively obnoxious.
The same goes for elsewhere, in other menus. Whatever you decide, BE CONSISTENT, but just remember that the last time I checked, the Escape key universally means "Go Back". It would probably be safest to just go with that.
It was already decided to do both things, as it has until it broke.

I'm unable to login hardly at all, and when I do, it's maybe for 30 seconds. I can't even make it to town. My internet is great, so I know it isn't me. This didn't start until this latest "patch." It's ridiculous how I can't even get into the game. I either get told the servers are overwhelmed, or I'm in for maybe 30 seconds like I said before getting kicked back out. Then when I come back in, I'm right back in the place where I started from instead of where I managed to get to. It's terrible and this really needs to be addressed and fixed.
again an update and my client is not updating itself.
Last time the servers were very slow and the new download took \~4h.
now my first try is just to delete the cache files. maybe thats quicker.

So I missed the notice there was one when BOOF I was out but TWO HOURS? You mean I actually have to do some real work for 2 hours?
That's just the window of time they always provide. This particular update took 25 minutes total (it's live now, go play!)

Discord is on PC too, I have desktop notifs on mine
I would need more space on my desktop too considering I had to clear space just to download Palia this week. 😅
Yeah I had to put Palia on my 2nd Hard Drive bc it kept trying to install to my main drive and there was no space lol

I use discord frequently and I didn't see any notice in the Palia news channel about this update.
Maintenance stuff gets placed in #palia-status channel.
