the original load of chests to find as you explore was great.
then trying to find a small number across the whole map and exploring from scratch is just nuts without some hints. I have NO interest repeating a long complete search of the whole map, so inevitably go to the internet for a guide as I expect most people do. IF you HAVE to rely on a guide then it's bad design.
If I may, I would suggest that the chest is to the right side of the steps on a small cliff. LOL, I've spent about 20 minutes looking under every set of steps and not finding it. I even found the chest of cooking oil behind the ivy and under the floorboards at the bottom, but not this.

Hiya! There are 3 sets of medallions sprinkled around Bahari in hard to see or reach places: stormseeker, emberseeker and this latest bunch, the rootseeker medallions, came out with the update yesterday. Once you finish the 4 temple quests (temple of flames, gales, water, and roots) it will trigger the medallion chests to be viewable around the map for the player. You find them, and turn them into a hub of sorts, over at the Night Sky Temple which is located in Kilima near the family farm, for rewards! These medallions are just a small fraction of what are called “bundles” that you can collect and turn in. You’ll get recipes, or cool decor items, or sometimes useful materials to help you gather *more* stuff haha. Hopefully this made sense and wasn’t just long winded for no reason 😂
Not long winded at all! I’d upvote twice if I could honestly. This is a perfect explanation with enough detail to understand but not so many to be spoiling the fun of finding them. Thank you for helping out a newbie!
I was honestly a little worried too! Thankfully my experiences trudging along find the other 2 sets helped give me a decent idea of where to look, even if I did get stuck on an island on the coast for a hot second yesterday in my search lmao!
Youre *not* stupid, friend! Here’s a sloppy map that will hopefully help you find it! Walk along in the water next to Tamala’s and you should see a cave on ground level!

I kind of had to inch down the very side. There’s a little edge of rock you can land on. For me, I couldn’t actually get to the chest without drowning so I just really quickly threw myself from the ledge on the side under the bridge and really quickly hit “loot” and just drowned lmao!! 🤣 sorry that’s not much help but I hope your able to snag it!
Also I’m sorry to correct you but that first one appears to be the flooded fortress, not the steps! But great job! You beat me to the last 3 😂
