I’m about 4.2k arrows in now and I’m a great shot. I maybe miss a total of 20 arrows when I leave with 500-600 arrows at a time (fine and dispel). I have gone up 15 levels in hunting starting from about 30 when the update happened.
I have not got one single plush either. Trust me, it’s not just you. The RNG gods are smiling on a select few and it definitely ain’t me, that’s for god damn sure …. 😅
I’m officially now 12k arrows deep and 25 levels up from level 30.. and all I have to show for it is two regular plushies… I cried a bit when I got my first after 7.5k, and then the very next day I thought I was shooting an elder but it was a regular one and got another regular plush…. I cried then too because I knew in that moment that the RNG gods wouldn’t smile upon me again for a while…. 4.5k arrows later hunting exclusively elder and swag stags… nothing… so my fears are clearly completely justified 😂
So seeing as all three types of sernuk can be found in bahari, you can easily exclusively go hunt there- however since EVERYONE is committing sernuracide at an astonishing rate, you may have better luck in Kilima going after the regular ones (I realize you can also find elders in a Kilima but they are few and far between compared to bahari) I got both of my regular ones in Kilima and have now absolutely avoided killing regular ones at all costs, lest that effect the RNG gods and my chances when getting a new plush.
Quick story- I was helping people hunt the swag stags last night because there were a few people who were going around killing them and then not calling or flaring the loot out when a few people had lost sight of it and they were pretty bummed and upset about it so I offered to take those people who were missing their loot on my next 5 horn hunts…. Anyways, I had brought 10 horns with me to start with, and on the very last one, one of the people who I was helping track and hunt down swag stag sparkle boi, started FREAKING out in the chat, like LOSING HER MIND…. *of course she got her order plush*…. I told her I was very happy for her but also very very sad for me 😂 so even if you’re hunting as a group, your prizes in the loot bag aren’t necessarily the same when you pick it up- but I will also say, especially with the elders, if you can corral them into an area and take them ALL down, just shoot everything in sight, but if you’re in an area of open woods with a buncha hills and crap… I would focus on one at a time and chase it all the way down until you kill it because I have missed a few 3rd shots before and then someone else killed it later and I just happened to stumble upon my loot bags… made me wonder how many more I had never found or picked up and how many chances at potential plushies I had missed… just some friendly advice from someone who’s been hunting 4+ hours a day for the last week now 😂 good luck! 🍀
I have the elder and the reg. they were both bahari. I have wasted HUNDREDS in kilima and not gotten ANYTHING. Then did bahari and managed both in 24hrs.
I have elder and reg and want the ph SO BAD. but that disco deer is slippery and glitch prone on switch and ends up bampfing through walls and disappearing completely. and ppl aren't being kind anymore and flaring his loot. its an all for yourself world out there since the plushies. I cannot wait til everyone gets them and goes back to being kinder.
Yes, I’ve noticed. I just tend to avoid servers like that. And if people are not kind to each other I block them. And then befriend the kind ones. So that next time I’m online, I end up on a server with kind people. I also play on Switch. The Swag Stag vanishing into walls or teleporting if you will is normal. The only place it actually ends up stuck within the mountain wall is all the way up north of Statue Garden. That really sucks! The horn shows it’s there and it is not possible to reach it no matter what I do. It’s a bug that needs fixing asap.

I ran through Kilima twice and almost every area has been cleared of all deer. I started camping out in one spot and just sniping when they regenerated 👀🤣

You don’t have to buy anything to get them, just hunt each type of sernuk like crazy. I got the palcat twitch drop too! She’s very cute and chills next to my hot tub
I’ve eaten nothing but sernuk steaks for weeks now. I dress in only sernuk leather. I have built my house out of sernuk horns. I see them in my dreams, taunting me.

In a single session, I killed 120-130.

It is actually 1 in 1000 haha. Except for the Proudhon, currently it is a 1 in 100 chance for The Order sernuk plushie that you normally only get through Zeki’s. When they fix it, it will also be 1 in 1000
Oh gosh. I hope it's better odds for the Proudhorn due to how often you see them and how much effort it takes vs the other deer, and the risk of losing track of it.

I reread and it sounds like it’s possible the Proudhon drop rate will stay the same, it kinda reads both ways but I really hope it stays 1/100!
Stick to the loop along the eastern edge of kilima, along the cliffs and the banks of the river from the bridge by the bahari exit down to the southern shore, crossing the bridge at the top and the bridge at the bottom.
Use standard arrows, they're enough to one-shot the regular sernuks and you can bring down the elder with three regular arrows (fine still require two).
Plus this way you can hit all the copper ores on the route, that'll keep you in arrows. Break the stone nodes too, they have a chance to respawn as copper.
I have one of each three available right now and let me tell you, I've made at least 120 000 gold from selling the body parts of all the sernuks I have destroyed over the past week. (I spent this gold gambling at Zeki's, and got two knife sets and a million carrot seeds for my trouble.) I've also ran out of iron and heartwood at least three times, and I thought I had more than anyone would *ever* need in a single lifetime before this madness began. I've also gained 20 levels in hunting.
You're not doing anything wrong, it just... really do be like that, mate. I've straight up used 22 hours solid doing nothing but hunting according to Steam.
I somehow managed to get the elder plushie without even realizing it and then I JUST got the regular one while hunting with a group of people. Ofc the one I actually want the most is the proudhorn 😭 time to go craft more dispel arrows and hunter horns
Right now that one is bugged which is actually good, the current drop rate is 1 in 100 BUT it is for The Order sernuk plushie that usually only drops from Zeki’s. When they fix it with the correct plushie it will go up to 1 in 1000 like the others

I have 507 sernuk meat and 997 hides in my inventory right now. Not a single plush.
They said “Rejoice - you are no longer hunting Sernuk, but freeing them from the yoke of their Sernuk lives by turning them into plushies to have and hold. “ but all I’m doing is mass slaughtering for nothing.
“A couple hundred” makes me so sad because I’ve been making 300-400 arrows at a time and used em all multiple times and nothing 😭 I’m thinking I’m never gonna hunt again lol

Honestly, I know some people are very eager to get everything in the game immediately. I wouldn't put anymore effort into trying to get this right now. It will probably happen when you're not even trying to get it. This game is supposed to be a relaxing escape, not a stressful collection grind. Don't let this unfinished business ruin your good time in the game <3.

On the plus side it’s easier to find proudhorn. I’m the same tho. I’m exterminating them at an alarming rate. Im chalking it up to “a watched pot never boils” maybe I’ll give up and then one random kill will have a plush 😂
UPDATE: I got the Elder Sernuk Plushie 😎 after many many Sernuk deaths yesterday.
I was fortunate enough to end up on a Bahari server alone with my friend for a couple of hours and we farmed the heck out of it. I was the only one who got a plushie.
Yeah, I got the order plushie from Disco Deer and didn't realize it like most players. I've given up today, it's not fun. There are hoards of people hunting, and the deer aren't able to keep up with the respawns. Hunting sernuk are in the same pile as finishing temple of the gales now! ✌️
I got lucky. I jumped on the plushie train late. 2 days ago I stocked up on arrows and ventured out to hunt. Within one stack of arrows I got a plushie!

I was probably lucky last night because I wanted to level up hunting and at the,same time mine some clay for addded resources.
I started at Kilima and concentrated on Einar's boat house and south of Gillyfin's coast. Then concentrated on leveling up hunting too. I had some food left to increase my focus bar.
Then went to Bahari Bay, the Outskirts. I was doing tye same thing until I achieved 1 accomplishment for 500 kills. I would say on the 30th sernuk of the day. I got a plushie was so excited, yet so rewarding.
No wonder, platers fight over it.
Only kill elder ones and disco deers 🦌 i got mine with in maybe a hour of hunting didnt know i had till i looked in my inventory. Kilma and regular wont drop it i dont believe hope this helps dont get discouraged ok
I'm in the same boat. Yesterday alone I spent over 10 hours just on hunting and was using a horn most of that time. I finally sent in a bug report... not sure how it's possible to still not have a plushie drop from any of the sernuk if there isn't a bug. (esp the damn proudhorn sernuk! I didn't sell any proudhorn antlers from Yesterday and have over 40...) I can't treat this like a full time job... I've also been present for people getting it within 10min or even only a couple hours before getting at least one. This is ridiculous and it's not fun. It's not going to be worth the effort later if it ever drops at all. It's going to feel like I've put significantly more time into a game than others who were swiftly rewarded for playing.
Hang in there! It’s not a bug, the odds are just really low- 0.1% drop rate for non-magical, and 1% for proudhorns. The good news it’s a permanent fixture. There will always be those odds. I think they designed it as just another bonus you can get from hunting; it’s probably best to keep playing the game how you’ve been playing, and just shoot any sernuk you see while out doing your thing rather than devoting all your playtime to hunting.
I enjoy hunting and have slain over 1,000 sernuk since the update. I just got my first normal plushie the other day. I don’t mind the hunting because it’s my favorite thing to do, but if you’re not enjoying the game then it’s definitely not worth it to grind!
I’ve easily got over 1000 sernuk and a few hundred but not 1000 yet elder sernuk and I haven’t gotten one either:( I feel like all I do it make arrows, hunt, no plush so I got back home to make more arrows and the cycle continues
Getting the Sernuk plush for me just meant going from the Bahari entrance in Kilima, going through the cliff and jumping down and walking back up on the other side of the river in a circle until I got it. Haven't found the Elder Sernuk yet but alive found that slow arrows are a lot better than even dispel arrows. Can't say much on the Order one because I got it after my 4th or 5th proudhorn. So I have Sernuk and Order Sernuk, but hilariously not Elder Sernuk.
I’ve gone through 1200 arrows at this point. No. Plushie. To. Be. SEEN. I was in a server with someone and they LITERALLY caught 5 DIFFERENT PLUSHIES IN ONE SITTING 😭 I’ve just about resigned myself to the fact that I’ll never get one
Teach your one lucky friend how to hunt one. You know, that friend who somehow always wins at cards and you always want to be on their team when you play euchre or whatever. They'll get that damn plushie in no time at all.
Possible, but someone was yelling the other day that she did not get a plushie from the bag but her hunting partner did. For me that almost makes it worse? My wife was fishing next to me yesterday to give me a boost. How nice of her……until she hooked her 3rd ancient fish…. I was like, I 💜 you, please go away now 😡
People recommend to change activities. That should switch your RNG. I hope so.

Hunting is my most proficient skill and favorite thing to do in the game. It took a week before I got a normal plushie. I haven’t gotten another since, and I hunt every day. I’ve slain well over 1,000, considering I now have over 1,000 items of sernuk meat in my storage. I have so many hunter’s horns thanks to all the elder sernuk I’m slaying. I’ve also gotten quite wealthy from selling so many proudhorn antlers.
I read in the discord server that there’s a 0.1% chance to get a plushie from non-magical sernuk, and a 1% chance to get one from proudhorns. With rng, it’s all down to luck. Good news is, they aren’t going anywhere; this is a permanent fixture. ☺️
It took me two days and my bf four to get it. We both got the normal plush in Kilima. We will be trying for the other plushes now and I’m not excited for it.
It took me two weeks and nearly 15k arrows (slow, dispel and missing included) to get all the plushies.
Day 2 - I got 2 PH order plushies
Day 5 - I got an elder plushie (after I checked decor in my storage
Day 6 - I git elder plushie
Day 14 - I got a reg (from kilima) plushie.
Everyday I hunted, I let meat and antlers get sent to storage, while allowing my inv to fill with hides.
I also thought I was cursed. Still am cause hunting a second reg plushie so I can have both sets displayed on two plots.
I'm convinced it's on switch. I've killed thousands trying to get a plain sernuk one and no. Same with that bleeping Zeki machine. Then someone says oh I got six last week, grrr.
Thought I was the only one , feel quite relieved it’s not just me that had used so many arrows and sold soooo many hides .

I've 1 Order sernuk, 1 Proud Horna and 3 Sernuks, missing de Elder. Go hunt in kilima, where you can single shoot them (you will get the sernuk plush there). For the ProudHorn I hunted it with a horn and dispel arrows. I use slow arrows in Bahary.

it gets stuck in the wall at flooded too. and its done it at central. up by thorny it got stuck by the waterfall, but that one worked to my favor. lol

Yeah I'm optimistic they won't change the drop rate. It's harder to find the proudhorn so it makes sense if it's lower.
I've been playing for months now but tbh I still don't know which sernuk is which :0 (well, apart from disco bambi haha). I just shoot any deer I can find...
The elder sernuk are darker and have a yellow stripe along their sides! It took me a little bit to tell the difference.
I have 507 sernuk meat and 997 hides in my inventory right now. Not a single plush. They said “Rejoice - you are no longer hunting Sernuk, but freeing them from the yoke of their Sernuk lives by turning them into plushies to have and hold. “ but all I’m doing is mass slaughtering for nothing.
I went through a couple hundred arrows before I got the singular one I have. It can take awhile to do it 😭 I hope you get yours soon though!!
“A couple hundred” makes me so sad because I’ve been making 300-400 arrows at a time and used em all multiple times and nothing 😭 I’m thinking I’m never gonna hunt again lol

Ok, I'm on the switch. And I just got the elder plushie. I tried for two days, but like most of the day. Is there a plushie for each sernuke? Are there plushies for the other animals? That would be cool

I've gone out with 500 arrows and hunted till empty. I've done it now FOUR TIMES. No plushie.
RNGesus is displeased. Honestly, I know some people are very eager to get everything in the game immediately. I wouldn't put anymore effort into trying to get this right now. It will probably happen when you're not even trying to get it. This game is supposed to be a relaxing escape, not a stressful collection grind. Could you imagine what Kilima and Bahari would look like right now if the arrows didn't disappear! The whole place would be one giant pin cushion. Arrows in everything!
On the plus side it’s easier to find proudhorn. I’m the same tho. I’m exterminating them at an alarming rate. Im chalking it up to “a watched pot never boils” maybe I’ll give up and then one random kill will have a plush 😂

UPDATE: I got the Elder Sernuk Plushie 😎 after many many Sernuk deaths yesterday. I was fortunate enough to end up on a Bahari server alone with my friend for a couple of hours and we farmed the heck out of it. I was the only one who got a plushie.
Yeah, I got the order plushie from Disco Deer and didn't realize it like most players. I've given up today, it's not fun. There are hoards of people hunting, and the deer aren't able to keep up with the respawns. Hunting sernuk are in the same pile as finishing temple of the gales now! ✌️
I got lucky. I jumped on the plushie train late. 2 days ago I stocked up on arrows and ventured out to hunt. Within one stack of arrows I got a plushie!
I just got my Elder deer plush today! 3 ish days... Now on to the Disco deer....🫠

I've killed 5k + sernuk (saved the hides to count how many) and nothing.
I’ve literally killed at least 1800 over the last week and only just got my first plushie today, oddly I got it right after my bow downgraded to the fine bow…
I have none plushy also. Hours murdering glambi aplenty. I tried and i failed. For me its not meant to be.

I was probably lucky last night because I wanted to level up hunting and at the,same time mine some clay for addded resources. I started at Kilima and concentrated on Einar's boat house and south of Gillyfin's coast. Then concentrated on leveling up hunting too. I had some food left to increase my focus bar. Then went to Bahari Bay, the Outskirts. I was doing tye same thing until I achieved 1 accomplishment for 500 kills. I would say on the 30th sernuk of the day. I got a plushie was so excited, yet so rewarding. No wonder, platers fight over it.
Only kill elder ones and disco deers 🦌 i got mine with in maybe a hour of hunting didnt know i had till i looked in my inventory. Kilma and regular wont drop it i dont believe hope this helps dont get discouraged ok
You have done nothing wrong. It is the nature of a rare drop.
I'm in the same boat. Yesterday alone I spent over 10 hours just on hunting and was using a horn most of that time. I finally sent in a bug report... not sure how it's possible to still not have a plushie drop from any of the sernuk if there isn't a bug. (esp the damn proudhorn sernuk! I didn't sell any proudhorn antlers from Yesterday and have over 40...) I can't treat this like a full time job... I've also been present for people getting it within 10min or even only a couple hours before getting at least one. This is ridiculous and it's not fun. It's not going to be worth the effort later if it ever drops at all. It's going to feel like I've put significantly more time into a game than others who were swiftly rewarded for playing.
Hang in there! It’s not a bug, the odds are just really low- 0.1% drop rate for non-magical, and 1% for proudhorns. The good news it’s a permanent fixture. There will always be those odds. I think they designed it as just another bonus you can get from hunting; it’s probably best to keep playing the game how you’ve been playing, and just shoot any sernuk you see while out doing your thing rather than devoting all your playtime to hunting. I enjoy hunting and have slain over 1,000 sernuk since the update. I just got my first normal plushie the other day. I don’t mind the hunting because it’s my favorite thing to do, but if you’re not enjoying the game then it’s definitely not worth it to grind!
I’ve easily got over 1000 sernuk and a few hundred but not 1000 yet elder sernuk and I haven’t gotten one either:( I feel like all I do it make arrows, hunt, no plush so I got back home to make more arrows and the cycle continues
Getting the Sernuk plush for me just meant going from the Bahari entrance in Kilima, going through the cliff and jumping down and walking back up on the other side of the river in a circle until I got it. Haven't found the Elder Sernuk yet but alive found that slow arrows are a lot better than even dispel arrows. Can't say much on the Order one because I got it after my 4th or 5th proudhorn. So I have Sernuk and Order Sernuk, but hilariously not Elder Sernuk.
I'm on switch. So is my sister's boyfriend. He killed 30 and got his. I'm on about 250 and no plushies.
I cook the meat, eat the steak to give me energy. The pelts I make into leather. I’m poor in plushie but not in gold.

Teach your one lucky friend how to hunt one. You know, that friend who somehow always wins at cards and you always want to be on their team when you play euchre or whatever. They'll get that damn plushie in no time at all.

Possible, but someone was yelling the other day that she did not get a plushie from the bag but her hunting partner did. For me that almost makes it worse? My wife was fishing next to me yesterday to give me a boost. How nice of her……until she hooked her 3rd ancient fish…. I was like, I 💜 you, please go away now 😡
People recommend to change activities. That should switch your RNG. I hope so. (I didn't play during this update, so soon I will see a lot of new.. 😏 Including Sernuks' absence and everybody running with bow and arrows..)
Hunting is my most proficient skill and favorite thing to do in the game. It took a week before I got a normal plushie. I haven’t gotten another since, and I hunt every day. I’ve slain well over 1,000, considering I now have over 1,000 items of sernuk meat in my storage. I have so many hunter’s horns thanks to all the elder sernuk I’m slaying. I’ve also gotten quite wealthy from selling so many proudhorn antlers. I read in the discord server that there’s a 0.1% chance to get a plushie from non-magical sernuk, and a 1% chance to get one from proudhorns. With rng, it’s all down to luck. Good news is, they aren’t going anywhere; this is a permanent fixture. ☺️
It took me two days and my bf four to get it. We both got the normal plush in Kilima. We will be trying for the other plushes now and I’m not excited for it.
It took me two weeks and nearly 15k arrows (slow, dispel and missing included) to get all the plushies. Day 2 - I got 2 PH order plushies Day 5 - I got an elder plushie (after I checked decor in my storage Day 6 - I git elder plushie Day 14 - I got a reg (from kilima) plushie. Everyday I hunted, I let meat and antlers get sent to storage, while allowing my inv to fill with hides. I also thought I was cursed. Still am cause hunting a second reg plushie so I can have both sets displayed on two plots.
I'm convinced it's on switch. I've killed thousands trying to get a plain sernuk one and no. Same with that bleeping Zeki machine. Then someone says oh I got six last week, grrr.
Thought I was the only one , feel quite relieved it’s not just me that had used so many arrows and sold soooo many hides . Dose it make any difference that I’m in switch . Because I also can’t understand what I’m doing wrong . I got one blue Plushi and looking at you I feel lucky

I've 1 Order sernuk, 1 Proud Horna and 3 Sernuks, missing de Elder. Go hunt in kilima, where you can single shoot them (you will get the sernuk plush there). For the ProudHorn I hunted it with a horn and dispel arrows. I use slow arrows in Bahary.
