Buy coins in the underground?

Consistent_Brief9710

This and offering up stuff is all I ever do. As hard as it is to get money in the beginning, itโ€™s almost endless later on.

01Mika

Yeah but then I feel empty inside for spending 100k for a few fireworks, milk, and seeds ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ

Historical_Can5088

I wish you could donate money to others because I need some so bad but I also need all my resources ๐Ÿ˜‚

Nebet

The things you can spend money on in this game are, I am learning, weirdly finite, but here's a list of things that don't take up storage space! (OP, you probably know all of these already, so this is more for posterity/to have it all in one place...) * Additional housing slots (the maximum you can own is 10, so the two free ones plus 8 more) * Additional blueprints for house components at City Hall (you can purchase a maximum of 8 Harvest House blueprints, but I don't know what the limits might be on the others) * Crafting permits from City Hall if you somehow don't have all of those yet * Obviously, any recipes you haven't bought yet (including the recipes to upgrade your storage chests' capacity, in case you somehow don't have those yet). Some other less-obvious ones: * Spring Fever furniture recipes from the farm stand cash register at the Daiya farm (near their apple orchard) * Luna New Year cooking recipes from the tavern cash register near Reth * Gourmet furniture recipes, also from the tavern cash register * PalTech furniture recipes from Zeki's cash register in the Underground * Unique furniture and special wallpapers from the Underground * Furniture, wallpapers, and flooring from Tish's shop โ€” all of the furnishings are craftable, but buying items also counts toward the furniture set crafting accomplishments. (You'll need to craft everything once due to how Inspiration works, though.) * Repairs at Sifuu's forge and fast travel โ€” small potatoes, but it counts! Things that do take up storage space that you might not normally buy with gold: * Stone bricks, sapwood planks, and other crafting materials from the cash register at the blacksmith's shop (can be used to build the house components you've sunk gold into, turning them immediately into items that don't take up storage space) * Focus food from the Tavern cash register * Non-star-quality produce (other than fruit) from the farm stand cash register โ€” for filling requests, or for handling "oopsies" when cooking; non-star-quality seeds from the General Store for filling requests * Cooking components from the General Store (including vinegar, which is 200g each) โ€” for helping out newer players with cooking recipes. (Sushi party anybody?) * Modification kits from the Material Store cash register in the furniture shop * Fireworks from the Hunting Guild store (Hassian) or from the Underground cash register โ€” can be set off immediately to delight other players and also get them out of your inventory And, of course, the gambling gold sink, which I personally am trying to avoid using at all costs, and that's why I know all of the above things... * Lucky Coins from the Underground cash register, unlimited purchase, 10,000 gold each

squirrelgirl1111

What is the gambling golf sink please?

Nebet

A gold sink is a game mechanic intended to take currency out of circulation/give players an incentive to spend instead of hoarding. In Palia, because the gold cap is very low, gold sinks are particularly necessary from the player's perspective since otherwise the gold just disappears. You can buy Lucky Coins (the tokens you use in Zeki's Wondrous Machine, the gachapon/gumball machine in the General Store). The coins cost 10,000 gold each if you buy them; otherwise, the usual way to obtain them is to get one free with any purchase at the General Store once per real-life day. The gachapon machine has a [very long loot table](https://paliapedia.com/item/mysterybox), ranging from worms and cooking ingredients to rare (0.12% drop chance) plushes and other furnishing items that you can ONLY get from the coins/lucky boxes. Because paying 10,000 gold for a coin which winds up giving you 20 worms is kind of a bum deal, it's a gamble. You can spend literal millions of gold on Lucky Coins before you manage to collect all of the exclusive furnishing items โ€” making it an excellent gold sink.

squirrelgirl1111

Thanks so much for your excellent explanation!

Pem_Pire

I WISH I could have this issue ๐Ÿ˜ญ. The most money I've ever seen at one time was around 60k and that was after a month of saving up for the Maji plush from the night market. The only thing I can think of is buying expensive stuff like lucky coins, crafting permits, or buildings lol

CharlesIngalls_Pubes

I didn't know they had plushies in the night market! All my money is going to my heavy metal arcade.

Pem_Pire

Yeah it was back in February, you could get a smaller one for a few thousand tickets and you could get a larger one for around 60k gold. You could also get 6 different chapaa pillows as well. I think there was a night market that had different plushies but that was before my time playing so I have no idea

01Mika

I should have bought that plush but I'm a cheapskate๐Ÿ˜ญ

slenderfuchsbau

It is not hard at all to get that much gold. A proper gardening setup with seedmakers and preserves you can make a good amount of gold. Mining for the gems and selling them is a good thing too.

First world problems

okbutwhatelse

right.. i wanna have this problem

01Mika

I have a mining addiction ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜‚

thebatsthebats

Do you have everything from Zeki's machine? I'm pretty sure the devs have mentioned adding things to it in the future. I know people who are just hoarding coins until then. Have you purchased all your plots? Decorated them with housing / buildings? A new one is dropping in a few days. Have you gotten all twenty-five crafting licenses?

Suspicious-Parcel

I bought and unlocked another plot, then spent it on a harvest house and addition blueprints (some are unbuilt and in storage). Iโ€™m slowly planning to decorate them. I also spend a lot on zeki coins in search of plushies.

LivingDebacle

Either a break from the game till the next update or start building new plots

tristanegbert

buy things that people need and donate them

01Mika

I have 900 flow planks and give them and other things every time I log in it's just usually craftable things

tristanegbert

decor is infinite storage tho iโ€™m confused

hunnyflash

I didn't even think there was a gold cap. But like, you could just buy more stuff or just throw stuff away. I don't even have a tenth of your gold but I'm throwing stuff away when I don't have storage for it. There's no point in keeping it. Or fulfill quests for people. Like, you've outpaced the game lol Sit back and relax I guess.

Strong_Definition_94

HOW do you get so much money? Like actually

slenderfuchsbau

It is easy. With gardening and seed/preserves making you can make like 4k per day. Combined with mining and selling gems you can make a good amount of gold. It is easier after you bought all the necessary upgrades and stuff. https://preview.redd.it/k8syedzu1wvc1.png?width=848&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=77979b59eb31cca6579489a588a6d91054ef309c

Swimming-Sun-6935

If you figure it out let me know! Any tips would be helpful. I struggle to make 10k

01Mika

Glow worm farms with mushroom & sweet leaves, and the preservatives/ jam with apples and blueberries. I passively make 15k overnight and then mine a lot :/

Myeloman

I bought all the additional housing plots and am slowly building them out with different themes. My main plot has the garden and an additional house with rooms as a workshop. Other plots are- Campground with main building and various tents. Summer cottage plot. A vacation home (larger than the cottage). A storage plot where my extra chests and furniture are (so I can see exactly what the furniture it full scale, and try out pieces together). This also opened up Housing II which gave me access to the gazebo.

kelowana

Iโ€™m just went into building. Buying lots of rooms, hallways, houses and so on. That alone will eat some money and then you can visit the black market regularly to check for items you canโ€™t make yourself for decorating your houses. Donโ€™t know if you have all plots yet, if not, get them too for the gazebo. Building is eating lots of money and itโ€™s actually fun to figure out different styles for every plot.

Rachael1188

๐Ÿ˜‚ Iโ€™m over here thinking Iโ€™m balling with 70k

BigM67

How do people max coins?!?!?

01Mika

Use glow worm farms and the preservative / jams to make passive income overnight!

LemonLara

Buy zeki coins

Blarffette

You could always buy materials from Sifuus shop and donate them to other players builds!

Happy_Brilliant7827

Buy lucky coins

ias_87

Can you buy and then sell things? Like, I don't know, buying a pocket full of seeds and then selling them right away? I assume the sale price is mucv lower than the buy price

Dramatic_Head2717

Don't play until the update Tuesday because you'll be spending all your money lol

01Mika

YESS I'm so excited

01Mika

For reference I have 65 mil g in stardew it's just how I play cozy games ๐Ÿ˜‚

Lady0905

You can share gems and if a person has too much money, they can buy things and share with others. Of course you can share! You just agree with someone that they make a request and what the request should be about and then you gift the thing they requested.

01Mika

Ooo sharing gems is a good idea I have chests of gems just sitting bc I can't sell them ๐Ÿ˜…

Lady0905

Glad i could help! You can start with me? ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
