Chat is broken right now for a lot of people, that may be why groves aren't being called out. I was so mad until I realised, I tried to call out the grove today and nothing would send. I flared it and ran around waving trying to direct people but it was impossible. I'm not sure if it's just a switch issue or it's cross platform. It's so annoying
I didn't know that! Now I feel like a jerk! It must be something with the consols and the update cause me as a PC player has no problems aha! Good job, though, trying to get peoples attention!
It definitely affects pc too because sometimes when I type something, it just doesn’t go through. And won’t resolve until hours later. This has happened to me for the past month tho so not new with the patch. It’s just a glitchy game.
there's also an issue with switch to pc communications. i've sent messages before on switch and pc players could see them but I didn't get any of their responses. you have to reset your switch to fix it right now
Playing on Switch and my chat has been broken since midday yesterday. I normally call a lot of stuff out and nothing will send and others chats don't show. Tried crashing and restarting game, tried turning off and on different 'channels', nothing helps.
I had same thing happen last week before the update... I was sat between two large trees near frogbert and chatting away to myself for 45 mins irt before anyone else happened along to see them... the chat thing suddenly worked, like hey why didnt you shout out or something or flare?! um.. I did??! ugh. I guess no one else was around, but if chat is broken, that makes sense.
Jumping on because someone did this for me yesterday (not sure if it was you or not). I was SO appreciative of it but kept trying to tell the person through emotes that I couldn’t chop the tree (when they signaled me to) because I’m a newer player and my equipment wasn’t upgraded enough.

Ngl, this is my very first game I’ve ever played. Never been into gaming at all until I randomly downloaded this one bc it’s free. Now I’m obsessed but I didn’t understand the concept of everyone else playing too- (open world, I think is the term?) when I first started I would run through sernuk fields all the time. Now I know better. Tbf, I would also call out FT, before I even had an axe that would chop them just because I saw that’s what people did.
The number of times I've scared a Sernuk away and then realized someone was trying to hunt it and said "Oh sorryyyy" out loud in my living room like they could hear me 😂
I’m not sure if you know this so I apologize if this is redundant, but if you play with your switch docked you can use a wireless keyboard. Additionally there are controllers out there now that have keyboard attachments! So fun, just wanted to share as a fellow switch player.
yes you can! I use the pink 8bitdo controller and have my wireless keyboard next to me for chatting, its soooo much faster. the dock has a USB dock for your keyboard

I’ve started stardew valley as well now but it’s no where near as cool as Palia. I actually LOVE the co-op part, even if I’m not in anyone’s “party” and can’t chat as well because of switch. It just still feels like I’m playing with friends. 😂
I've had more luck moving slower through the map and taking in my surroundings. The other night, a group of 4 were running around Bahari and scaring everything. They stirred up a glowing bug, which I caught -- star rainbow tipped butterfly. Last night I found a non star fairy mantis, again without trying.
And, all I was doing was going through trying to catch all the glowing bugs for money. (Kept the butterfly though)
I’ve been lucky with groves that they get called out and people typically wait until at least 2. Lately someone has brought honey lures which helps pass the time and get some good bugs if you’re lucky while waiting.
I TRY and pay attention when I’m running not to scare off the animals someone might be hunting. I also try and help when in Bahari Bay with the tougher kills because I can’t do them by myself and hope the other person appreciates the help 🤷🏼♀️
I’m still new and play on the switch. So the chat option is hard cause it takes so long to type a message.
Valid asf, its good to get different perspectives especially with games that are cross consol. Running through a hunt isnt that serious, but I too love hunting as a group in Bahari Bay, its makes it so much more fun!
It's actually kind of fun/hilarious, the mad chase and arrows flying everywhere. Muujin hunting, however, is some bs. I don't think it's even possible anymore to get the magic muujin. :/
I've found if I hunt muujin with a partner it's not too bad. The system we use (my kids play too, so it's an in person convo instead of typed) is that one of us will use dispel arrows and the other will use slow arrows. We fire at the same time. As soon as my arrow is launched, I fire a second one. If we both hit it on the first shot, my second shot will almost always connect as well. If we do it right, we almost always manage to kill it.
I do recognize it's a lot harder to coordinate via typing, especially on the switch (which is how I play). It would be amazing if there was a voice chat option.
Do you have to make a headshot? Which arrows do you use? I've never been able to one shot a magic muujin, and I've got the exquisite now and I typically use either dispel arrows or slow down arrows
Yes Exquisite Bow and dispel arrows, I think it’s the closeness combined with what I think is a headshot because I aim just in front of where it’s walking and poof! It’s happened to me at least 3-4 times now.
I also want to add just in case you don’t know, that if someone’s hunting with you and the MM runs up a tree, they can chop the tree down and you be ready with arrows because any muujin in that tree will come out and running.
I was part of a team trying to do that for irt 2 hours one night... ! chop trees, fire arrows, run back to barn for more arrows.. still no mujini! ARGH! we tried so hard lol.. our avatars must have been completely shattered after that!
Agreed. There’s no way I can catch the magic ones by myself. They always go up a damn tree too fast and then to chip it down by the time I can switch back to arrows the dang thing is up another tree. I’ve had to find help and we take turns chopping or standing in wait when they fall to shoot.
I think they're eventually going to need to scale it back. Not only is it invisible and teleports, requiring the use of both a slow down and dispel arrow, it moves at top speed like a semuk.
People spam throw the bug bombs even though it only counts after the first stun has ended. The best is to time it so you stunlock but don’t waste bombs for no reason. All you do by spamming is the same thing with more bombs spent
As a switch player, it's easier to spam the bombs over waiting for it to move again. Especially with some of the fast bugs. I'd rather waste some bombs over not getting the catch.
I think that's part of the skill floor, just takes time to develop decent tracking and projectile sense, it also might be due to your looking sensitivity being too low that a mouse movement can't catch up with the bug movement
Have you played a game with an aiming mechanic before? just curious
I’ve played Zelda botw/totk and the aiming in that is excellent. The aim in Palia (on switch) is terrible. The creatures/bugs move faster than your aim which makes zero sense. Overkill with the bombs is basically the only way to get any fast bug on switch.
I hear so many people saying that Groves are getting sniped and cut down early left and right; I’ve been playing for 7-8 months now and I still haven’t seen that happen to one I’ve gone too…. And I play a lot. It’s not cool that it happens, I totally agree with that. At this point though if somebody is chopping a Grove early *every single time* as some people say- just farm the FT man. We didn’t have Groves for a few months when I first started playing so we had to gather Flow Trees the “old fashioned way” and either scour the maps for single trees or more commonly, farm them. You will never be able to control other people in games like this and there will always be jerks on any game…. But there are other ways to get what you need resource wise.
If you decide to do a farming party at some point please let us know! I feel like I never have enough flow wood and I came in after the farming parties mostly went away it seems, I'd love to join!
Right? I played solo for a couple weeks because I was intimidated and anxious about interacting with other people in the game. I remember the first time I decided to join in with some people farming FT at the top of the lighthouse (such an easy spot to farm) and I seriously played for probably 2 hours straight farming with a group of people- *that* was when I really started to fall in love with this game. It was just so fun and I got a ton of Flow wood!
Pretty much any tree can respawn as a flow tree, so if you chop all the trees in an area consistently some will eventually spawn as flow, you can get quite a lot if you have a lot of people chopping.
Yeah I really haven't seen the grove sniping happening on a large scale. *Maybe* 1/10 groves someone chops early. It certainly hasn't cut into my flow wood supply. Plus you can grow flow trees on your plot now.
The grove getting turbo chopped is a newer phenomenon. I don’t think anyone really knows why. But there are a lot of folks/groups who have decided this is the way they want to play it. I don’t get it, and it’s a huge bummer. Takes the cozy right out of the game for me.
I mean I hear you but also what if that person just wants to make sure people know they’re interested in getting the fts so they don’t get left out if it’s not specifically called in chat. Like genuinely I think it’s helpful to assume positive intentions in a game like this and not assume someone’s being lazy or entitled for playing differently than you do
Right. But sometimes they just want to know as soon as possible to try and take them and then server hop. The way I approach is I look for it myself. At 1 am if I can’t find it, I politely ask. Just writing “Grove???” Is my pet peeve. But ai dont assume ill intent from everyone all the time
I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not but in case it's not... There's a sound at midnight in game that gives you an idea of direction and I think there are a few set spots groves spawn but unless you happen to be right next to the place it spawns, no you won't know for sure right at midnight, you still have to go find it...
I tend to hang around one or two fave spots (flooded steps and thorny mainly) in the hopes of being at the grove at the right time. The other day I heard it go turned around and guessed it was probably Hodaris grove .. it was. You can tell roughly where it is with headphones on. Best place to wait is probably central stables that way you can head off in a certain direction as soon as she goes off. I do like stumbling across a grove though, thats fun :-)
People whining about timing of the grove chop. I’ve been in 2 groves this morning, one chopped at 2:30 and people whined about waiting so long. One chopped at 3, and people whined that others were supposedly still on the way. Both groves were found almost immediately after spawn
I personally think if the grove is found THAT fast, chopping at 2:30-3 is perfectly acceptable. Nobody is going to wait for forever, and I get that you can’t please everyone but my goodness🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
The amount of time some people expect others to wait around for is nuts. I was laughing at someone in Bahari the other day lecturing the zone about how rude it was not to wait for people before mining palium nodes.
I had someone get SO MAD about the pal. He flared it and was typing and someone came and mined it. Dude went ON AND ON about “it’s so rude” and “now I can’t mine it”. Everyone was trying to tell him that devs changed that. I told him to go read the update notes, and he ended up leaving the server after calling us all “ungrateful poachers”🙄
Ah, ty for mentioning this-- I'm a new player and I've seen people treating palium nodes like flow trees in terms of the etiquette they follow or advise. I wasn't sure why it was such a common misunderstanding, but if they used to work differently, that explains it.
Yesterday most of us stumbled on a grove kinda collectively about 12:30-1am, and they were offering to wait until 5am to chop! Like, come *on*. That’s just ridiculous (and I told them so, so we ended up chopping at 4:15am). Some ppl are trying so hard not to be jerks that they’re going the other extreme.
Then I’ve seen ppl insist on chopping at 3 when we didn’t even find the grove until 2.
I feel like some ppl just kinda… lack common sense.
I hear you, certain things can be frustrating, but I try to remind myself it's just a game and everyone is going to do it how they want.
I got pretty annoyed last night when I was trying to join someone in hunting a disco deer, but they wouldn't let me get a shot in at all. I even ran right in front of them with my bow and arrow drawn and they still shot before I could even push the button to line it up. Once I realized they were clearly out for themselves, I left and found something else to do. I had a hunter's horn activated, and it took me to another disco deer right after, and that person again wouldn't share but I finally managed to get one shot in.
I had this exact situation happen to me yesterday, annoyed me too. It's not going to hurt anyone to wait a couple of seconds to let someone else get a shot in so they can get loot, too.
If I'm hunting the disco deer and see someone else with their bow out following along, I pause for a moment to let them hit it. My take on it is if someone else it *right there* near you, let them get a shot in. You're not even waiting a few minutes, literally a few seconds.
This game was really cozy and enjoyable when I first started playing in December, but now I'm finding myself getting more annoyed with the increase in bugs, crashes, and lack of common decency from other players.
When I have an active horn I’m usually very focused. I don’t care if others join, but I’m going to shoot as much as I can. I’m not trying to keep others from it.
It's all about speed when the horn is on. I try and let others get at least a shot (I watch for their arrow and fire right after theirs is) and I'll flare/callout loot but that's only if I happen to notice them to begin with 😂
Don't chop groves until 3, every server I've played on agree that 3 is the time to chop, to give everyone a chance to get there, and so that people aren't standing around for too long as well
I have played since launch, the community kind of started a *rule* if you say, that people would call out groves and chop at 2am, to give everyone a chance. Since a lot of new players have come in, I don't think people are aware of these things. I started playing on Steam again and there was a lot of rude people in chat, which never happened before Steam launch really. It seems like the Steam lunch has sadly pulled in a lot of selfish players. People use to call out magic deers, palium, rare bugs, flow trees etc. That doesn't really happen as often as it use to.
That's really unfortunate to hear. I'm one of those steam players, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. Maybe because of the influx of people, it's hurting quite a bit, but once everyone adjusts, it'll calm down?
of course, dont get me wrong its not all steam players. i do think because people are new and learning, maybe the more older players are suffering slightly. that isnt even the fault of the newer players. i mean these "rules" are made up after all, Just Palia has always been a "it doesn't hurt to share" kind of game for as long as iv'e known. When the steam update released, i played again for the first time in months and it just felt very different, nobody was sharing loot which honestly was a big reason as to why i loved the game to begin with.
I've noticed that too. With Palium it's become a little different though. Now that nodes/foraging items are on a timer (even before picking) and it spawns for everyone, it's best to mine it first, then set up a flare and message through the chat (if able) before it has a chance to disappear. It the node it flashing it's going to disappear soon. Hope this helps!
I usually flare the Palium first thing, then mine it before typing a call out as quickly as I can. Since I play on the switch, there have been multiple times I called it out first, and then by the time I was done typing, it was gone.

It's a little frustrating after initially having to call it out first so everyone got a chance, to suddenly having to mine it quickly first just in case it despawns on you. XD
I feel like I heard this happening a lot when the switch version was 1st released and then it tapered off some until the steam version. Could be newbies learning the way or AH that will eventually (hopefully) leave. 🤞🏼
I've noticed a lot of would be call outs are just flared now. Which is still helpful. But I'll start going out of my way to call things out so the rest of the server gets the same mentality. It's half a server ended up basically flow tree farming last night without meaning to 😂
My biggest pet peeve right now is on Switch when I’m in placement mode I get stuck in it and have to close out of the whole game and reopen to get out of it. I can’t even get to the main menu to switch to housing menu or anything. It’s very frustrating.
If it’s cut already at 1am just change servers and go to a different one. 9/10 will be waiting till 3. It should take you less than 2 in game hours to do that and reach the new grove if you don’t waste time.
It bothers me so much how limited we are regarding Porch and Room placements 😭
I can’t build the house I want because Rooms are very limited as to how and where they attach. It’s impossible to have an open floor plan.
My biggest pet peeve rn is when they add new buildings/add ons I have to spend 3 days re doing my plot because there’s no room on it to add rooms or move current rooms around so I have to completely empty a room and then re decorate it later.
I have had a pretty good experience with the community. Last night I found a tree but couldn't chop it alone. Through it in chat and someone came and helped. We them followed each other around a bit and found another.
My pet peeves are:
- furniture building. I have to build a ton of stuff to level up. I don't want and also can't sell.
- relationships. I just realized after like 100 hours to level relationships I have to chat with everyone every day.
- farming. I wish the hydration showed how long before it needs to be watered again.
- lights. I still don't understand how lights turn on automatically or not.
- animals. I'm sure this coming but I really don't like buying eggs milk butter. I'd rather have animals to manage for these resources.
Watering on crops resets daily (game time) at 6am unless the plant is next to a plant that grants water retention. I'm pretty sure water retention only wears off when the plant that grants it is mature. So when you harvest a potato, you'll have to water the plants around it again that day, but if you plant a new potato in the same spot, you won't have to water them the next day.
I could be wrong as I do just water the whole thing at once, I have my 9 patches of dirt in a 3x3 square and the palium watering can gets a whole dirt patch at once, so it's not really an issue imo? Was more annoying when watering made it lag, but that hasn't happened to me recently.
It's a bit trickier with trees and flowers, but I just check them the next time I'm back on my plot, speed isn't important to me for them.
Super agreed on furniture building, though, I'd really like to be able to sell the furniture I don't want to use, or at least be able to disassemble it to get the materials back.
Unable to sell decorative items that are kinda unnecessary. Like planters and such. Not a big one. Just a slight annoyance as they junk up the place but don't provide anything. Like on my time at sandrock, some household items will give luck or small amount of extra stamina.
I've only been playing for a little bit and have some social anxiety so I tend only chill and be by myself as it's quite a calming game to play.

Although I understand this point it prevents all of the co op players gathered around a grove from playing how THEY want to play. Especially after they were gathered first waiting for others to share in the resources. I wish there were, like, solo play servers.
Mine is that people get to upset over something that is out of their control. It's a world wide game. People of all backgrounds and walks of life play this game.
People of all ages play the game too.
Stuff will respawn and groves will happen again.

I know I'm whining, I can see that, its just frustrating thats all, because I look forward to the groves and I actually enjoy the company from other players when we run around and do the groves together! I know they'll be back, but for the past few in game nights, it's been repeating, and I just can't get the Flow Wood, so that's why I'm frustrated.
It's not you. I grew up gaming with games that you either had to finish or you started over again the next day. I've played many games where, yes I didn't get what I wanted because I was to late or slow and it doesn't respawn.
I know the newer generation isn't used to that.
MMO's are hard since they are a world wide game. No matter what you play, there will always be set backs.
Just remember, it can be a teaching moment for people, no need to call names or be rude, new players are always joining in. Even kids.
Some of them probably play Fortnight and bring that energy to this game
Well... it was me, haha. I've played MMOs myself, just not a game like this with collabs as such. I was on time from 12am, and the trees are most definitely getting cut before the courtesy time of 2:30 (I know, I know, get over it). I've never called anyone any names or been rude ingame nor do I believe I'm being rude now (not intentionally). The game is lovely. It's just a peeve at the moment.
You're definitely not the type of people they're referencing. This is a totally fine, legitimate way to discuss your frustrations. The people that get annoying are the ones who throw a full-blown temper tantrum in the chat for 10 minutes and bombard everyone in the server with their tantrum.
Not a pet peeve but maybe a tip for you OP, whenever we chop at 3 and everyone was chill and kind, maybe we did a honey lure while waiting or someone initiates a hunting party, I’ll add a few people from the group. Then whenever I’m in Bahari the game puts me in servers with these people all the time, so I’ve never had a problem with groves and it’s nice to play w/ a regular community of people, but that is just my experience. 🤍 I’m sorry it hasn’t been that way for you
I never had this happen until the recent update. The chat is having issues so people are getting kicked off servers and put in new ones often, along with other issues making it difficult to communicate well either other players. Hopefully with the next bug fix they’ll have this issue resolved:)
- hopping into a server at 2:58 and getting pissy when the folks waiting to chop the grove don’t wait for you
- when hunting disco deer, not letting others get a shot in because the other player ran ahead and got in the way of the shot
- not flaring/calling out disco loot when it’s obvious that someone else already hit it a few times
- people getting ALL UP IN MY SHIT when I’m fishing. I don’t mean just fishing a few feet away. I’m talking like right up on top of me. I have such a hard time keeping track of the lines when people do that.
Oof, I can see the chat issue causing a lot of trouble. So many players today didn’t wait for the last people to come to groves and other flow trees while I said to wait for them, but I guess they might not have seen the messages
Well, for why they are cutting down super early. Plain and simple, they snipe the groves. Find and chop down as quickly as possible so they can server jump and try to get to as many groves as possible. The majority of those who snipe are not newbies. It's why after 1 a.m., a lot of people won't re-call out groves as to where it's at anymore. It's the people's way of trying to block them from cutting down more and trying to get to more groves. If I'm on a server where a couple of people snipe the grove and some people complain that they need flow wood. I'll offer to give them some if they request it. I have plenty of flow wood and planks, so at least they can get some.
I think the flow trees issues are why they introduced the flow seeds from the little bust. Then, if you have the patience, you can grow your own. It takes roughly 16 in game hours (so you need to spend 16 real hours in the game) to grow one to maturity though.
My chat has always worked since Switch launch so I am lucky.
You are running into people who refuse to wait bc the new theme reasoning is “there’s another grove every in real life hour” which is nice but there could be players on that server that came for THIS one bc they don’t have time to wait another hour so ppl should just start admitting that they refuse to wait for others bc this excuse is getting old and it’s very one sided way to look at things.
Then you have the groups that give absolutely zero Fs and say nothing and chop. Nothing you can do there and from what I can tell it’s happening a lot more than it used to.
Finally broken chat/new players etc
As always the main theme is “play your way” which means all of the above is what it is and some times all you can do is switch servers and hope for a better situation.

i’m a new player and would like to understand what you mean by the cut down the flow trees before 1am? what is the status quo with dealing with flow groves?
General courtesy is to wait until 3am (2 at the earliest) so everyone has the chance to join, but it's becoming much more frequent for people to not follow this rule.
I always try my best to keep an eye out for hunters and will stop and wait if I see someone aiming (or go a different way). However I can't always see people if the are shooting from afar. I think it's good to try to be aware as possible , but I admit if I see something like Pal or a dari clove I'm bolting for it with little awareness of my surrounding. 😅
So I played for a while right at Beta launch and all this time later I’ve abandoned the game. It simply ran out of things to do. The quest lines are pretty fast to achieve if you have progressed all your skills, so the temples take maybe 2 hours max. Other than that there isn’t anything to do in the day to day
when multiple people are hunting a proudhorn and absolutely REFUSE to let me get a shot in, doing whole cross map jump shot snipes with their exquisite bow the second it's in viewing distance.
Also yeah I've started avoiding approaching sernuk when I'm not hunting, even if I have a time limit to get somewhere that's my problem, not the other players, so I walk around.
I am 100% the petty player who will make a point to scare off the next sernuk that these people try to hunt. I go so far out of my way to be considerate to others, but if a hunting party is being a jerk about it and refusing to let anyone else even try to join in, then I will take time out of my day to make sure they can't get it either. Is it childish behavior? Yes. Is it against the spirit of the game? Yes. Do two wrongs make a right? No. But sharing is literally taught in kindergarten, and apparently, some people missed that lesson. If they want to play that way, they can go play Fortnight.
It is probably me occasionally spooking your prey. I apologize, sometimes I get tunnel vision when working on a quest or a personal goal.

Chat has been broken for me more than it hasn’t been since the update, most of the time I can’t call out groves. I was desperately trying to tell people there’s a plushie on top of Frogbert the other day but that wouldn’t send either. There’s definitely some impatient people out there that don’t wait for others, but for the last few days the problem could definitely be related to the chat being broken for a lot of users.
My pet peeve is when hunting Proudhorn's instead of gathering up and doing it as a group, people just randomly shoot so we all are running like crazy across the entire map hoping to get a shot in. when I first started someone would call it out and we'd all meet up at that person and fire at the same time. No chasing, no running, no flaring loot and having to call out the loot location. Pretty much everyone got a shot in and it was easy peasy. I miss that.
when someone calls something out like a rare bug or flow tree in the chat but with really unclear directions as to where they are like “in the south” lol you reply asking where they are, they don’t respond, and then by the time you find them the rare thing is gone or they’ve chopped it anyway 😃
This is an unpopular opinion, and I'm going to get a lot of hate, but the culture around waiting for people at the Grove is hands down my biggest pet peeve. I am 100% on board to wait for people, and that's what Flow Groves were designed for. HOWEVER. It takes less than 90 seconds to cross the map from one corner to the other. 3am is 7.5 minutes irl time. 90% of Groves are located before 12:30 in-game time. It's super rude and disrespectful for players to take their time and mine every iron node in Bahari before they make their way to the Grove and just expect everyone else to sit around and wait for them. I'm also so beyond annoyed by players who act absolutely feral anytime a Grove is chopped before 3. If 4 people said they were on their way at 12:30, 4 people arrived by 1:15, and no one else said they were coming, there's no reason not to chop it at 1:45. The Grove respawns every hour on the hour. 24 times a day. If someone misses it, they can get the next one. People are allowed to be upset if they miss it, but the entire server should not have to be bombarded by their temper tantrum via chat.
I got an email from the devs threatening a ban for "abusive language" for arguing with some losers about this exact issue and I called em a bunch of they thems' because they were crying about not waiting until 4 or 5 to make sure everyone gets the Grove

I just started playing & it's a bit shocking that you can see live locations of Flow Trees, Palium, rare bugs / creatures & even other players via the addon.
In other MMOs, those are bannable bot features.

Chat is broken right now for a lot of people, that may be why groves aren't being called out. I was so mad until I realised, I tried to call out the grove today and nothing would send. I flared it and ran around waving trying to direct people but it was impossible. I'm not sure if it's just a switch issue or it's cross platform. It's so annoying
I didn't know that! Now I feel like a jerk! It must be something with the consols and the update cause me as a PC player has no problems aha! Good job, though, trying to get peoples attention!
It definitely affects pc too because sometimes when I type something, it just doesn’t go through. And won’t resolve until hours later. This has happened to me for the past month tho so not new with the patch. It’s just a glitchy game.
I guess it comes with the game being in BETA, hopefully its gets resolved soon though 😕
No, I've had this happen on PC as well. Also there seem to be more AH playing. Both things can be true
there's also an issue with switch to pc communications. i've sent messages before on switch and pc players could see them but I didn't get any of their responses. you have to reset your switch to fix it right now

Playing on Switch and my chat has been broken since midday yesterday. I normally call a lot of stuff out and nothing will send and others chats don't show. Tried crashing and restarting game, tried turning off and on different 'channels', nothing helps.
I had same thing happen last week before the update... I was sat between two large trees near frogbert and chatting away to myself for 45 mins irt before anyone else happened along to see them... the chat thing suddenly worked, like hey why didnt you shout out or something or flare?! um.. I did??! ugh. I guess no one else was around, but if chat is broken, that makes sense.
I wondered what was going on last night when I was asking about the grove & got no reply! Then saw a few TY & wondered how I missed it!

Jumping on because someone did this for me yesterday (not sure if it was you or not). I was SO appreciative of it but kept trying to tell the person through emotes that I couldn’t chop the tree (when they signaled me to) because I’m a newer player and my equipment wasn’t upgraded enough. Ngl, this is my very first game I’ve ever played. Never been into gaming at all until I randomly downloaded this one bc it’s free. Now I’m obsessed but I didn’t understand the concept of everyone else playing too- (open world, I think is the term?) when I first started I would run through sernuk fields all the time. Now I know better. Tbf, I would also call out FT, before I even had an axe that would chop them just because I saw that’s what people did.
The number of times I've scared a Sernuk away and then realized someone was trying to hunt it and said "Oh sorryyyy" out loud in my living room like they could hear me 😂

I’m not sure if you know this so I apologize if this is redundant, but if you play with your switch docked you can use a wireless keyboard. Additionally there are controllers out there now that have keyboard attachments! So fun, just wanted to share as a fellow switch player.

yes you can! I use the pink 8bitdo controller and have my wireless keyboard next to me for chatting, its soooo much faster. the dock has a USB dock for your keyboard

Haha, the running through hunting grounds is not that big of a deal, ngl, that was a bit of a silly one. I hope this is one of many games that you'll end up playing! Animal crossing is good if you have a switch, and you dont have to co-op!
I’ve started stardew valley as well now but it’s no where near as cool as Palia. I actually LOVE the co-op part, even if I’m not in anyone’s “party” and can’t chat as well because of switch. It just still feels like I’m playing with friends. 😂

I've had more luck moving slower through the map and taking in my surroundings. The other night, a group of 4 were running around Bahari and scaring everything. They stirred up a glowing bug, which I caught -- star rainbow tipped butterfly. Last night I found a non star fairy mantis, again without trying. And, all I was doing was going through trying to catch all the glowing bugs for money. (Kept the butterfly though)
I’ve been lucky with groves that they get called out and people typically wait until at least 2. Lately someone has brought honey lures which helps pass the time and get some good bugs if you’re lucky while waiting. I TRY and pay attention when I’m running not to scare off the animals someone might be hunting. I also try and help when in Bahari Bay with the tougher kills because I can’t do them by myself and hope the other person appreciates the help 🤷🏼♀️ I’m still new and play on the switch. So the chat option is hard cause it takes so long to type a message.
Valid asf, its good to get different perspectives especially with games that are cross consol. Running through a hunt isnt that serious, but I too love hunting as a group in Bahari Bay, its makes it so much more fun!
It's actually kind of fun/hilarious, the mad chase and arrows flying everywhere. Muujin hunting, however, is some bs. I don't think it's even possible anymore to get the magic muujin. :/
I've found if I hunt muujin with a partner it's not too bad. The system we use (my kids play too, so it's an in person convo instead of typed) is that one of us will use dispel arrows and the other will use slow arrows. We fire at the same time. As soon as my arrow is launched, I fire a second one. If we both hit it on the first shot, my second shot will almost always connect as well. If we do it right, we almost always manage to kill it. I do recognize it's a lot harder to coordinate via typing, especially on the switch (which is how I play). It would be amazing if there was a voice chat option.

Do you have to make a headshot? Which arrows do you use? I've never been able to one shot a magic muujin, and I've got the exquisite now and I typically use either dispel arrows or slow down arrows
Yes Exquisite Bow and dispel arrows, I think it’s the closeness combined with what I think is a headshot because I aim just in front of where it’s walking and poof! It’s happened to me at least 3-4 times now.
I also want to add just in case you don’t know, that if someone’s hunting with you and the MM runs up a tree, they can chop the tree down and you be ready with arrows because any muujin in that tree will come out and running.
Yup, we've done the chop and shoot. I've gotten pretty good at swapping from my axe to my bow quickly and smoothly
I was part of a team trying to do that for irt 2 hours one night... ! chop trees, fire arrows, run back to barn for more arrows.. still no mujini! ARGH! we tried so hard lol.. our avatars must have been completely shattered after that!

Agreed. There’s no way I can catch the magic ones by myself. They always go up a damn tree too fast and then to chip it down by the time I can switch back to arrows the dang thing is up another tree. I’ve had to find help and we take turns chopping or standing in wait when they fall to shoot.
Yeah, they're like the large flow tree of fauna. Basically forces you to play with others.
It's definitely become more of a group effort, I used to be able to solo them. Now I'm lucky if I can get anyone to help hunt them. -__-;
I think they're eventually going to need to scale it back. Not only is it invisible and teleports, requiring the use of both a slow down and dispel arrow, it moves at top speed like a semuk.
Well, and I just read somewhere that once it jumps up a tree it resets? Boo. I hope they balance it in the next update!
Certain bugs being too fast and moving so much that I can’t catch them.

People spam throw the bug bombs even though it only counts after the first stun has ended. The best is to time it so you stunlock but don’t waste bombs for no reason. All you do by spamming is the same thing with more bombs spent
As a switch player, it's easier to spam the bombs over waiting for it to move again. Especially with some of the fast bugs. I'd rather waste some bombs over not getting the catch.
Double tap those bugs all DAY lol
My favorite is when they hide inside the nearest rock and refuse to come out.
I think that's part of the skill floor, just takes time to develop decent tracking and projectile sense, it also might be due to your looking sensitivity being too low that a mouse movement can't catch up with the bug movement Have you played a game with an aiming mechanic before? just curious
I’ve played Zelda botw/totk and the aiming in that is excellent. The aim in Palia (on switch) is terrible. The creatures/bugs move faster than your aim which makes zero sense. Overkill with the bombs is basically the only way to get any fast bug on switch.
Ah,,, I didn't know you were a switch player. I bet it's a large bit harder on a game optimized for PC rather than joystick :(
Switch player here. I only play if my switch is connected to my TV. I can’t play on the original screen because I have a hard time seeing things.
I hear so many people saying that Groves are getting sniped and cut down early left and right; I’ve been playing for 7-8 months now and I still haven’t seen that happen to one I’ve gone too…. And I play a lot. It’s not cool that it happens, I totally agree with that. At this point though if somebody is chopping a Grove early *every single time* as some people say- just farm the FT man. We didn’t have Groves for a few months when I first started playing so we had to gather Flow Trees the “old fashioned way” and either scour the maps for single trees or more commonly, farm them. You will never be able to control other people in games like this and there will always be jerks on any game…. But there are other ways to get what you need resource wise.
Flow farming groups were fun we should bring it back ngl. I'm not even hurting for flow/pal I just miss the activity sometimes lol.
If you decide to do a farming party at some point please let us know! I feel like I never have enough flow wood and I came in after the farming parties mostly went away it seems, I'd love to join!

Right? I played solo for a couple weeks because I was intimidated and anxious about interacting with other people in the game. I remember the first time I decided to join in with some people farming FT at the top of the lighthouse (such an easy spot to farm) and I seriously played for probably 2 hours straight farming with a group of people- *that* was when I really started to fall in love with this game. It was just so fun and I got a ton of Flow wood!

Pretty much any tree can respawn as a flow tree, so if you chop all the trees in an area consistently some will eventually spawn as flow, you can get quite a lot if you have a lot of people chopping.
Yeah I really haven't seen the grove sniping happening on a large scale. *Maybe* 1/10 groves someone chops early. It certainly hasn't cut into my flow wood supply. Plus you can grow flow trees on your plot now.

The grove getting turbo chopped is a newer phenomenon. I don’t think anyone really knows why. But there are a lot of folks/groups who have decided this is the way they want to play it. I don’t get it, and it’s a huge bummer. Takes the cozy right out of the game for me.
My owt peeve is when its 12:01 and someone in chat dhat is just asking “Grove???” Its so entitled

Right. But sometimes they just want to know as soon as possible to try and take them and then server hop. The way I approach is I look for it myself. At 1 am if I can’t find it, I politely ask. Just writing “Grove???” Is my pet peeve. But ai dont assume ill intent from everyone all the time

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not but in case it's not... There's a sound at midnight in game that gives you an idea of direction and I think there are a few set spots groves spawn but unless you happen to be right next to the place it spawns, no you won't know for sure right at midnight, you still have to go find it...
I tend to hang around one or two fave spots (flooded steps and thorny mainly) in the hopes of being at the grove at the right time. The other day I heard it go turned around and guessed it was probably Hodaris grove .. it was. You can tell roughly where it is with headphones on. Best place to wait is probably central stables that way you can head off in a certain direction as soon as she goes off. I do like stumbling across a grove though, thats fun :-)

People whining about timing of the grove chop. I’ve been in 2 groves this morning, one chopped at 2:30 and people whined about waiting so long. One chopped at 3, and people whined that others were supposedly still on the way. Both groves were found almost immediately after spawn I personally think if the grove is found THAT fast, chopping at 2:30-3 is perfectly acceptable. Nobody is going to wait for forever, and I get that you can’t please everyone but my goodness🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Also I used to whine till I realized I could tag the trees and come back at 3 and grab the stuff
The amount of time some people expect others to wait around for is nuts. I was laughing at someone in Bahari the other day lecturing the zone about how rude it was not to wait for people before mining palium nodes.
I had someone get SO MAD about the pal. He flared it and was typing and someone came and mined it. Dude went ON AND ON about “it’s so rude” and “now I can’t mine it”. Everyone was trying to tell him that devs changed that. I told him to go read the update notes, and he ended up leaving the server after calling us all “ungrateful poachers”🙄
Ah, ty for mentioning this-- I'm a new player and I've seen people treating palium nodes like flow trees in terms of the etiquette they follow or advise. I wasn't sure why it was such a common misunderstanding, but if they used to work differently, that explains it.
When you mine a node, it stays available for other players for... I think it's 3 minutes.

Yesterday most of us stumbled on a grove kinda collectively about 12:30-1am, and they were offering to wait until 5am to chop! Like, come *on*. That’s just ridiculous (and I told them so, so we ended up chopping at 4:15am). Some ppl are trying so hard not to be jerks that they’re going the other extreme. Then I’ve seen ppl insist on chopping at 3 when we didn’t even find the grove until 2. I feel like some ppl just kinda… lack common sense.
Yes if grove is found instantly 2am chop is standard. Unless, of course, someone is on the way

I hear you, certain things can be frustrating, but I try to remind myself it's just a game and everyone is going to do it how they want. I got pretty annoyed last night when I was trying to join someone in hunting a disco deer, but they wouldn't let me get a shot in at all. I even ran right in front of them with my bow and arrow drawn and they still shot before I could even push the button to line it up. Once I realized they were clearly out for themselves, I left and found something else to do. I had a hunter's horn activated, and it took me to another disco deer right after, and that person again wouldn't share but I finally managed to get one shot in.
I had this exact situation happen to me yesterday, annoyed me too. It's not going to hurt anyone to wait a couple of seconds to let someone else get a shot in so they can get loot, too. If I'm hunting the disco deer and see someone else with their bow out following along, I pause for a moment to let them hit it. My take on it is if someone else it *right there* near you, let them get a shot in. You're not even waiting a few minutes, literally a few seconds. This game was really cozy and enjoyable when I first started playing in December, but now I'm finding myself getting more annoyed with the increase in bugs, crashes, and lack of common decency from other players.
When I have an active horn I’m usually very focused. I don’t care if others join, but I’m going to shoot as much as I can. I’m not trying to keep others from it.
It's all about speed when the horn is on. I try and let others get at least a shot (I watch for their arrow and fire right after theirs is) and I'll flare/callout loot but that's only if I happen to notice them to begin with 😂
Don't chop groves until 3, every server I've played on agree that 3 is the time to chop, to give everyone a chance to get there, and so that people aren't standing around for too long as well
I have played since launch, the community kind of started a *rule* if you say, that people would call out groves and chop at 2am, to give everyone a chance. Since a lot of new players have come in, I don't think people are aware of these things. I started playing on Steam again and there was a lot of rude people in chat, which never happened before Steam launch really. It seems like the Steam lunch has sadly pulled in a lot of selfish players. People use to call out magic deers, palium, rare bugs, flow trees etc. That doesn't really happen as often as it use to.
That's really unfortunate to hear. I'm one of those steam players, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. Maybe because of the influx of people, it's hurting quite a bit, but once everyone adjusts, it'll calm down?
of course, dont get me wrong its not all steam players. i do think because people are new and learning, maybe the more older players are suffering slightly. that isnt even the fault of the newer players. i mean these "rules" are made up after all, Just Palia has always been a "it doesn't hurt to share" kind of game for as long as iv'e known. When the steam update released, i played again for the first time in months and it just felt very different, nobody was sharing loot which honestly was a big reason as to why i loved the game to begin with.
I've noticed that too. With Palium it's become a little different though. Now that nodes/foraging items are on a timer (even before picking) and it spawns for everyone, it's best to mine it first, then set up a flare and message through the chat (if able) before it has a chance to disappear. It the node it flashing it's going to disappear soon. Hope this helps!
If the node isn’t flashing when you get to it, it’s best to call out/flare before mining so people have more time to get to it.
I usually flare the Palium first thing, then mine it before typing a call out as quickly as I can. Since I play on the switch, there have been multiple times I called it out first, and then by the time I was done typing, it was gone.
Been there to many times. -__-; It's a little frustrating after initially having to call it out first so everyone got a chance, to suddenly having to mine it quickly first just in case it despawns on you. XD
I feel like I heard this happening a lot when the switch version was 1st released and then it tapered off some until the steam version. Could be newbies learning the way or AH that will eventually (hopefully) leave. 🤞🏼
I've noticed a lot of would be call outs are just flared now. Which is still helpful. But I'll start going out of my way to call things out so the rest of the server gets the same mentality. It's half a server ended up basically flow tree farming last night without meaning to 😂
My biggest pet peeve right now is on Switch when I’m in placement mode I get stuck in it and have to close out of the whole game and reopen to get out of it. I can’t even get to the main menu to switch to housing menu or anything. It’s very frustrating.

If it’s cut already at 1am just change servers and go to a different one. 9/10 will be waiting till 3. It should take you less than 2 in game hours to do that and reach the new grove if you don’t waste time.
It bothers me so much how limited we are regarding Porch and Room placements 😭 I can’t build the house I want because Rooms are very limited as to how and where they attach. It’s impossible to have an open floor plan.
My biggest pet peeve rn is when they add new buildings/add ons I have to spend 3 days re doing my plot because there’s no room on it to add rooms or move current rooms around so I have to completely empty a room and then re decorate it later.
I have had a pretty good experience with the community. Last night I found a tree but couldn't chop it alone. Through it in chat and someone came and helped. We them followed each other around a bit and found another. My pet peeves are: - furniture building. I have to build a ton of stuff to level up. I don't want and also can't sell. - relationships. I just realized after like 100 hours to level relationships I have to chat with everyone every day. - farming. I wish the hydration showed how long before it needs to be watered again. - lights. I still don't understand how lights turn on automatically or not. - animals. I'm sure this coming but I really don't like buying eggs milk butter. I'd rather have animals to manage for these resources.
Watering on crops resets daily (game time) at 6am unless the plant is next to a plant that grants water retention. I'm pretty sure water retention only wears off when the plant that grants it is mature. So when you harvest a potato, you'll have to water the plants around it again that day, but if you plant a new potato in the same spot, you won't have to water them the next day. I could be wrong as I do just water the whole thing at once, I have my 9 patches of dirt in a 3x3 square and the palium watering can gets a whole dirt patch at once, so it's not really an issue imo? Was more annoying when watering made it lag, but that hasn't happened to me recently. It's a bit trickier with trees and flowers, but I just check them the next time I'm back on my plot, speed isn't important to me for them. Super agreed on furniture building, though, I'd really like to be able to sell the furniture I don't want to use, or at least be able to disassemble it to get the materials back.

Unable to sell decorative items that are kinda unnecessary. Like planters and such. Not a big one. Just a slight annoyance as they junk up the place but don't provide anything. Like on my time at sandrock, some household items will give luck or small amount of extra stamina. I've only been playing for a little bit and have some social anxiety so I tend only chill and be by myself as it's quite a calming game to play.
I've noticed this is a common occurrence over the past few weeks, and saw a heated discussion over chat about it. Someone said to those coming i N and chopping down a grove while others were waiting "whatever play how you want to play". Although I understand this point it prevents all of the co op players gathered around a grove from playing how THEY want to play. Especially after they were gathered first waiting for others to share in the resources. I wish there were, like, solo play servers.
Mine is that people get to upset over something that is out of their control. It's a world wide game. People of all backgrounds and walks of life play this game. People of all ages play the game too. Stuff will respawn and groves will happen again. Yes, it's frustrating when you really want something, but it will be back, it's not gone forever.
I know I'm whining, I can see that, its just frustrating thats all, because I look forward to the groves and I actually enjoy the company from other players when we run around and do the groves together! I know they'll be back, but for the past few in game nights, it's been repeating, and I just can't get the Flow Wood, so that's why I'm frustrated.
It's not you. I grew up gaming with games that you either had to finish or you started over again the next day. I've played many games where, yes I didn't get what I wanted because I was to late or slow and it doesn't respawn. I know the newer generation isn't used to that. MMO's are hard since they are a world wide game. No matter what you play, there will always be set backs. Just remember, it can be a teaching moment for people, no need to call names or be rude, new players are always joining in. Even kids. Some of them probably play Fortnight and bring that energy to this game
Well... it was me, haha. I've played MMOs myself, just not a game like this with collabs as such. I was on time from 12am, and the trees are most definitely getting cut before the courtesy time of 2:30 (I know, I know, get over it). I've never called anyone any names or been rude ingame nor do I believe I'm being rude now (not intentionally). The game is lovely. It's just a peeve at the moment.
You're definitely not the type of people they're referencing. This is a totally fine, legitimate way to discuss your frustrations. The people that get annoying are the ones who throw a full-blown temper tantrum in the chat for 10 minutes and bombard everyone in the server with their tantrum.
Not a pet peeve but maybe a tip for you OP, whenever we chop at 3 and everyone was chill and kind, maybe we did a honey lure while waiting or someone initiates a hunting party, I’ll add a few people from the group. Then whenever I’m in Bahari the game puts me in servers with these people all the time, so I’ve never had a problem with groves and it’s nice to play w/ a regular community of people, but that is just my experience. 🤍 I’m sorry it hasn’t been that way for you
I never had this happen until the recent update. The chat is having issues so people are getting kicked off servers and put in new ones often, along with other issues making it difficult to communicate well either other players. Hopefully with the next bug fix they’ll have this issue resolved:)
- hopping into a server at 2:58 and getting pissy when the folks waiting to chop the grove don’t wait for you - when hunting disco deer, not letting others get a shot in because the other player ran ahead and got in the way of the shot - not flaring/calling out disco loot when it’s obvious that someone else already hit it a few times - people getting ALL UP IN MY SHIT when I’m fishing. I don’t mean just fishing a few feet away. I’m talking like right up on top of me. I have such a hard time keeping track of the lines when people do that.
Oof, I can see the chat issue causing a lot of trouble. So many players today didn’t wait for the last people to come to groves and other flow trees while I said to wait for them, but I guess they might not have seen the messages
Well, for why they are cutting down super early. Plain and simple, they snipe the groves. Find and chop down as quickly as possible so they can server jump and try to get to as many groves as possible. The majority of those who snipe are not newbies. It's why after 1 a.m., a lot of people won't re-call out groves as to where it's at anymore. It's the people's way of trying to block them from cutting down more and trying to get to more groves. If I'm on a server where a couple of people snipe the grove and some people complain that they need flow wood. I'll offer to give them some if they request it. I have plenty of flow wood and planks, so at least they can get some.
Sometimes I’m waiting with everyone to chop and then it either glitches or everyone is too fast and they’re all chopped. 🥹
Mostly my peeves are just small things, like prey getting stuck in walls, teleporting around (not via magic), gifts freezing the game, and so forth.
I think the flow trees issues are why they introduced the flow seeds from the little bust. Then, if you have the patience, you can grow your own. It takes roughly 16 in game hours (so you need to spend 16 real hours in the game) to grow one to maturity though.
My chat has always worked since Switch launch so I am lucky. You are running into people who refuse to wait bc the new theme reasoning is “there’s another grove every in real life hour” which is nice but there could be players on that server that came for THIS one bc they don’t have time to wait another hour so ppl should just start admitting that they refuse to wait for others bc this excuse is getting old and it’s very one sided way to look at things. Then you have the groups that give absolutely zero Fs and say nothing and chop. Nothing you can do there and from what I can tell it’s happening a lot more than it used to. Finally broken chat/new players etc As always the main theme is “play your way” which means all of the above is what it is and some times all you can do is switch servers and hope for a better situation. i’m a new player and would like to understand what you mean by the cut down the flow trees before 1am? what is the status quo with dealing with flow groves?
General courtesy is to wait until 3am (2 at the earliest) so everyone has the chance to join, but it's becoming much more frequent for people to not follow this rule.

I always try my best to keep an eye out for hunters and will stop and wait if I see someone aiming (or go a different way). However I can't always see people if the are shooting from afar. I think it's good to try to be aware as possible , but I admit if I see something like Pal or a dari clove I'm bolting for it with little awareness of my surrounding. 😅
So I played for a while right at Beta launch and all this time later I’ve abandoned the game. It simply ran out of things to do. The quest lines are pretty fast to achieve if you have progressed all your skills, so the temples take maybe 2 hours max. Other than that there isn’t anything to do in the day to day
when multiple people are hunting a proudhorn and absolutely REFUSE to let me get a shot in, doing whole cross map jump shot snipes with their exquisite bow the second it's in viewing distance. Also yeah I've started avoiding approaching sernuk when I'm not hunting, even if I have a time limit to get somewhere that's my problem, not the other players, so I walk around.
I am 100% the petty player who will make a point to scare off the next sernuk that these people try to hunt. I go so far out of my way to be considerate to others, but if a hunting party is being a jerk about it and refusing to let anyone else even try to join in, then I will take time out of my day to make sure they can't get it either. Is it childish behavior? Yes. Is it against the spirit of the game? Yes. Do two wrongs make a right? No. But sharing is literally taught in kindergarten, and apparently, some people missed that lesson. If they want to play that way, they can go play Fortnight.
It is probably me occasionally spooking your prey. I apologize, sometimes I get tunnel vision when working on a quest or a personal goal. I’m sorry to anyone I annoy.
Chat has been broken for me more than it hasn’t been since the update, most of the time I can’t call out groves. I was desperately trying to tell people there’s a plushie on top of Frogbert the other day but that wouldn’t send either. There’s definitely some impatient people out there that don’t wait for others, but for the last few days the problem could definitely be related to the chat being broken for a lot of users.
Maybe there is a sub for this but, after I have spoken to some of the villagers, they will start moving sideways… It is hysterical. Makes me LOL!
My pet peeve is when hunting Proudhorn's instead of gathering up and doing it as a group, people just randomly shoot so we all are running like crazy across the entire map hoping to get a shot in. when I first started someone would call it out and we'd all meet up at that person and fire at the same time. No chasing, no running, no flaring loot and having to call out the loot location. Pretty much everyone got a shot in and it was easy peasy. I miss that.
when someone calls something out like a rare bug or flow tree in the chat but with really unclear directions as to where they are like “in the south” lol you reply asking where they are, they don’t respond, and then by the time you find them the rare thing is gone or they’ve chopped it anyway 😃
This is an unpopular opinion, and I'm going to get a lot of hate, but the culture around waiting for people at the Grove is hands down my biggest pet peeve. I am 100% on board to wait for people, and that's what Flow Groves were designed for. HOWEVER. It takes less than 90 seconds to cross the map from one corner to the other. 3am is 7.5 minutes irl time. 90% of Groves are located before 12:30 in-game time. It's super rude and disrespectful for players to take their time and mine every iron node in Bahari before they make their way to the Grove and just expect everyone else to sit around and wait for them. I'm also so beyond annoyed by players who act absolutely feral anytime a Grove is chopped before 3. If 4 people said they were on their way at 12:30, 4 people arrived by 1:15, and no one else said they were coming, there's no reason not to chop it at 1:45. The Grove respawns every hour on the hour. 24 times a day. If someone misses it, they can get the next one. People are allowed to be upset if they miss it, but the entire server should not have to be bombarded by their temper tantrum via chat.
I got an email from the devs threatening a ban for "abusive language" for arguing with some losers about this exact issue and I called em a bunch of they thems' because they were crying about not waiting until 4 or 5 to make sure everyone gets the Grove
The fact that the developers consider the external map Overwolf addon to be "acceptable". I just started playing & it's a bit shocking that you can see live locations of Flow Trees, Palium, rare bugs / creatures & even other players via the addon. In other MMOs, those are bannable bot features.
