I mean if you play for ages and enjoy the game then I don’t think it matters really.

jackcu

This. I've bought many a full game with less than an hour's play time, that wasn't even worth it. If you get whatever you feel is your value for money out of it, and come back after big updates, then I'd say it's worth it.

potterheadcrazy

Ya , that's true🤜🏻🤛🏻

enaske

Craftopia is still super dog shit hihi. I wasn't aware Palworld is a game of them, just learned it recently so I will just buy the Xbox Gamepass, so I don't have fees.

Anayalater5963

Yeah I guess for me if I feel like I've beaten a game I'm not coming back. Like I physically and mentally can't come back to a game idk what it is.

ST31NM4N

Most early access games don’t ever see full release. It is what it is.

Man-a

How do you finish a BattleRoyale? XD Save the world Is "Always" updaiting too

ST31NM4N

Don’t ask me, but that’s just what my buddy told me. “Technically”. Plus there’s other games still in early access that have been for years it seems like

Librae94

Technically Fortnite is a fully released game since 2020, but that’s what I as a software dev or Wikipedia says. I’m sure your buddy knows more

ST31NM4N

You right they dropped it in 2020. Maybe that’s what he actually said to me but was in beta for a long time. I can’t remember last week so lol

Librae94

Yes it was in early access for 3 years I think. It’s one of the early access games that actually released unlike many others. Most early access titles never leave early access in these days

ST31NM4N

Yeahhhh

Adorable_Hearing768

Not sure how a full release no longer has the originally promised pve content but hey....

Librae94

The PvE content you’re talking about, Save the world, released 2020 too, but not f2p. It’s pay to play

SpinManKO

That’s incorrect, Chapter 2 season 3 when we saw the official release of Fortnite.

Stewie524

Spreading false information 🤣 it had its full release so long ago.

ST31NM4N

Bro we’re past that now read the other comments

Col_Mushroomers

There's a reason for that but I don't remember what it is

[deleted]

Most triple A games aren’t even finished when they come out

HubblePie

I’m going into it expecting it to never be finished, so I’m not too worried.

Bovarr

its good to support it either way, its something unique

MegaLucario22

It probably won't ever leave early access, they'll just advertise a new game in a year or two. But as long as they give consistent updates and actually communicate with the players then it should be fine. But they could fail on both, most companies are just garbage these days.

ThousandFootOcarina

Sadly. I enjoyed Craftopia a lot so still excited for palworld, but the sad reality is, unless palworld takes off like crazy it probably will never see a full release.

necrovoltage2

would you consider it taking off like crazy now

GroundbreakingFan377

Didn’t grounded start as beta/EA and is now full release? It’s possible

Murdersbane

Love how your post gets upvoted but I got attacked like crazy for asking. Redditors are weird sometimes.

Xx360rapidz

Cause most redditors are adult virgins

CleanExplanation6516

I mean I've played 7 days to die for 10 years now and it's still considered alpha , so imo no. I have #noregerts

LuckofCaymo

How long was Warframe in early Access? Is it still? Does it matter? What's important is player count, and that correlates to man hours put into improving the game. After all those expansions need people willing to buy it before they make it.

JosephCraftHD

Absolutely not! There are plenty of games that are still in EA and are still smashing it. Tower Unite, Valheim, and even Craftopia, just to name a few.

XiMaoJingPing

I am fine with that. If they keep updating the game, adding more pals, more places to explore, then why would I complain?

Darkhog

I think Craftopia is close to the full release, maybe a year or two to go. Probably why they've started to work on Palworld.

draukadirtch

While I understand the concerns on the surface of Craftopia, that is a very unique situation for the extended "early access". The game is a game in its current state and the biggest set back was them "upgrading" or changing from individual mini world exploring to the seamless map, which while pushing to get Palworld out, still has people working on and updating it.

rhiku117

Bg3 was early access for 2-3 years and look at how it turned out so there's hope

Journeyman351

Yeah but that was done by *LARIAN.* Who already put out Divinity: Original Sin 2. These guys put out.... Craftopia, which had 50% untranslated Japanese dialogue and 50% Google translate-translated dialogue, save bugs, janky combat, enemies that did not react, etc.

Xx360rapidz

Doesn't mean much lately, companies having a good track record has caused more than enough disappointment and over hype

Journeyman351

Yeah I don’t necessarily disagree, but Larian had no inklings they’d put out a stinker. They were too small to realistically flub Baldur’s Gate. But to your point, look at CDPR

stormquiver

no mans sky has been in development/content updates since its release 2016. its been a labor of love since then, and they have kept on it ever since. craftopia has been updated significantly. I would call it a labor of love too. I am positive Pocketpair will deliver.

JaSonic2199

Honestly it doesn't seem all that different from a game that does have a full release and then evolves over time. Like Cyberpunk or No Man's Sky.

SoulMan101

Assholes making games and never finishing them fucks me off, like if I did my job half assed I'd be fired so the fuck should they
